Louise! Starbucks is lucky to have Louise: She makes a great espresso drink and can instantly recognize when a sleepy customer can mumble and bumble, "Oh..ok.. here. Got it, thanks". (Yep, that's me talking to myself.) I received a knowing nod from Louise. The second early morning I was more awake and I asked Louise if I could take some shots for Yelp- and could I take one of her? She lit up and said, "I love Yelp! I'm a Yelper too!" It says it's the first Starbucks in a grocery store, so for that reason, it's pretty cool. Very cozy spot right when you are entering Mollie Stone's and it shares space with where Mollie Stone's place their flowers, so it's quite lovely to sip some coffee or tea nearby all the beautiful floral arrangements. They have a small sitting area with several outlets. Not meant for you to stay long as it gets busy, but nice spot to take a coffee/tea break. read more

Situated within the entrance to Mollie Stones, I'd say that this location may be a good alternative if you want something quick while in the area. I tried to order on the Starbucks app however, they were stating that certain inclusions weren't available at this location so I decided to just go in and see for myself. My suggestion is, don't use the app to order as it is not always accurate when it comes to this location specifically. Also, in terms of ambiance...it's in the entrance so there aren't any doors which can make it very chilly. I would not recommend sitting there for any length of time due to that fact alone. Overall, I would say this Starbucks location is great for "grab n go" or if you want a drink while shopping at Mollie Stones. The food was great as always and the people were nice enough. read more

What does Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake, and my local Starbucks barista have in common? "Hey, Girl..." Yup, all graduates of the school of more cool than school. White guy aside, I find many are my friends, like when I choreographed Justin in his Sexy Back video, sans the ethnic. Maybe it's the shoulder sweater or maybe my acceptance of my 12% whiteness. But all I got for you is... "Hey, Girl..." I admit I love Starbucks, but I also admit not all Starbucks are the same. I mean just like us white guys lol. I've been to some crappy locations, but for the most part most are in the decent range. One of my favorite locations is the one at Mollie Stone, in fact my first white girlfriend was "Mollie", but I won't bore you with her "Pretty in Pink" sorority days;) I love this location more than the others and it's mainly due to location, away from the seedier parts of the city, just being honest, and the baristas here are pretty preppy too. Especially my morning regular barista, who I warmly greet with a... "Hey, Girl..." Yet, as insincere as I may seem for the uptight crowd from the uptown world. I'm actually pretty chill and nice. And the "Hey..." "Girl..." is spaced apart just right. And that's all this 12% white guy could want in the morning (well besides that;P) is a friendly greeting, a smile, and a consistent cup of a caffeine bev. And no, silly, not everyone I call... "Hey, Girl..." So even though there's a zillion Starbucks in the city, I tend to gravitate to this location. I guess you could call me a regular here, hence my photo being the main pic. *pats self* Since I've been here more than a dozen times, I will say I don't really have a regular drink, but I guess a latté of some sort is what rolls of my lips. The mocha and matcha I heart too. Of course, I'm always knee deep into those seasonal drinks like the pumpkin spice, et al. And like the drinks, I don't really have a regular bite, but will say I enjoy the warm croissant sandwiches and paninis. If in the mood for the sweet I tend to go with the lemon pound cake or cranberry orange scone. A snowman cookie. A frap here, a frap there. And yes, I'm now a mobile app user, so tend to just pickup my order, so less winks, and less... "Hey, Girl..." In the end, I recommend this Starbucks at Mollie Stone more than the others in the city. It's consistent and with friendly employees too. The ambiance is calm and being in Lower Pacific Heights it's a good spot to start my day. Yup, I've embraced my 12% white guy in me, but only use "Hey, Girl..." to impress you! I love you more. *kiss* read more

As Starbucks go this one is pretty good. Efficient service, friendly staff and open all the time. It can be a bit of a wind tunnel to sit down here since there are no doors: it's in the entrance to the Mollie Stones grocery store. As for that, this is a historic location since this was the first Starbucks to be put in a grocery store. But not the last. Too bad the market doesn't indicate the date when that happened! read more

Having been to several Starbucks throughout the city, this location is one of the best I've come across. Mainly, because of the fact they're located inside the grocery store, with tight parking security, there's always parking here :-) The barista was pretty easy going, helpful, attentive and fast. The only downside is that they were out of a lot of the things we wanted to order, which is the main reason for 4 stars. But, all in all, the overall experience was great and I will be frequenting this location every time I'm in the area!!! read more

This Starbucks sits in the entrance of the Mollie Stone market in Pacific Heights. It's a smaller Starbucks with only a few seats, but they offer the standard menu, flavors and pricing. Service has been very good the few times I've been....friendly, quick, everything you ask for in the brand. Overall...no complaints here. I'm not a regular coffee drinker, and I didn't order anything when I frequented this place so this review isn't about the actual beverages or food they offer. I came here to meet up with someone and noticed that their coffee took about 15 minutes to prepare. This, in my book, was a bit long considering it wasn't that crowded. I might come get a coffee of my own one day, but only if I'm not in a rush to go anywhere. Today I bought an orange juice that was expired yesterday. This is not the first time this has happened at this particular Starbucks. Please check your expiration dates. When I used to live right down the block from here, I frequented this Starbucks. I understand that all Starbucks shops are supposed to be the same but this one always seemed to shine out the rest of them. Smaller then most coffee shops, but conveniently located inside a Molly Stone's, this Starbuck's provides a quick stop for that caffeine re-fuel. The staff are super sweet and always get my order right, and get this, which is the topper of them all, they always seem to spell my name correct on my cup. I come to this Starbucks EVERY MORNING before work. Friendly staff who remembers my drink orders. The gal who works there, her name is Jessica, is really nice. They also give you a punch card. I like this SBUX inside of Mollie Stone's. It's distinctive and has a less corporate feel to this place. However, the place is fun-sized and has very limited seating. I grabbed the bar-stool as this gal was saving like two tables and five chairs for her group that was late. Entertaining in that it reminded me of that Seinfeld episode when Elaine had to save multiple seats in that theater. The grande house (italian roast) was comforting that rainy afternoon. I don't recall if this place has WiFi, but I got a few things done over Verizon LTE. The staff is very friendly. read more

Although I, personally, don't consider this to be a true Starbucks (no franchises man!), I do actually like it. Normally when I stay at my friend's house, I'll pick up coffee here on my way back down the peninsula. It doesn't seem like it has much seating (just a makeshift bar), but it is nice for a quick coffee without having to hassle with a long queue. Just don't expect the full-on Starbucks experience, because that won't happen here at this franchise. read more

Just a few blocks away from Coffee Corner (Sacramento and Fillmore), tucked in the entrance of the overpriced Mollie Stone (that's for another review), there is a mini Starbucks. Not even one of those poser coffee bars with the cups that read "We Proudly Brew Starbucks Coffee". No, I'm talking a real Starbucks. Funny thing is, I'm not a die-hard fan of Starbucks, but with convenient parking and a friendly staff, I felt compelled to give them props. I will be back (I drive to work and live 2 blocks away...a perfect start to the long commute.) I'm usually suspicious about the quality of Starbucks beverage I will receive from an "in-store" Starbucks, but I am almost always pleased when I visit this one. The girls who work in the morning have remembered my name and know my drink, which makes the chain feel less chain-like. If they see me coming across the parking lot, all sweaty and gross from the gym, they get my drink going, and don't make me feel like I need to take a shower before I go out for a coffee. :) read more

Love love love the staff! Obviously, I am an avid coffee drinker, but their staff makes a big difference, especially when a cup of coffee can be easily made at home. never thought i would review a Starbucks but the service has been great each and every time I come in..how can I not give a shout out? never encountered ONE staff member that wasn't pleasant. the station though small gets a lot of traffic, but often there's only two people manning the station. so one makes the drinks, other takes orders and depending on the type of food you order either of them will take care of it I'm always here getting food for someone at work, usually the manager; I don't mind the times I have to wait because even though it's awhile you can tell the baristas are efficient..it's just what it is. never brought anything for myself but liked it so much I feel bad I never get to tip (they always hand me gift cards to use) I'd tip out of my own pocket plus free drink for every ten you buy card? I wish I liked Starbucks drinks :( read more
