Staff is always friendly & coffee is usually consistently well made. It's a smaller Peet's, but it works, since it's right by my parent's house. I realy like that they offer almond milk & Matcha green tea lattes, which can be made unsweetened (I like to add my own stevia). They do offer multi types of sweetener at the condiments sections, like clear syrup & agave for example, which you don't see all the time. They also have lots of yummy pastries too. read more

I give a one star for sanitation reasons: I am a regular costumer here and two days in a row I see bunch of flys flying around in the pastry and sitting on them. Even another costumer who was standing behind me noticed it and said something. Before our turn was up, we were just watching the flys flying around in the pastry and I actually counted that there were 4 flys sitting on the chocolate pastry, who knows if it is laying eggs on them. I brought this attention to the staff and in both days they say the same thing, "I'm sorry, we're working on it". I feel like that excuse is not working anymore, since you see the same problem and no one even care to do anything about it when it comes to handling food, especially when you are still serving it to the costumers, doesn't it bother them that it is not sanitary? You don't care flys are laying on these pastries and flying inside, and still serve to the costumers? Based on reading from another costumer review is about the same issue and his posting was from 2 weeks ago, which the problem have not been fixed. You would think, the management will come up with a temp solution until they get this matter straighten out. You can go to Ross, Target, order online or any stores that sells home good products to buy those pastry holders (actually have a cover) to put the pastries inside and will be covered at all times. This is a serious matter and I am really surprised they continue to sell these unsanitary pastries to the costumers and don't care about their health/safety. read more

It's now 7 months later since my last review, the coffee is still good, but the fly problem continues to baffle the staff. When I pointed out that the flies were all over the pastries, the young man I spoke to said he would speak to his manager. The manager said that she would refer the problem to her district manager. I suggested that they not sell the pastries that had already been covered with flies, but she said that it was beyond her control, and there was nothing she could do about it. Health and safety should be paramount, profit should not take precedence. I photographed the pastries with flies, and was approached by an employee named Dennis who informed me that it was against company policy. I said that it was my policy to purchase pastries that were fresh and clean, not too much to ask, He demanded that I delete the photos and of course I refused. Let me get this straight, the employees are empowered to prevent photos from being taken, but powerless to cover the food they sell. read more

I love this Peet's coffee at Lakeshore Plaza. I go here all the time with my friends to get a nice hot drink to keep warm on a cold day or a cold drink to stay cool and refreshed on a warm day. What I love the most about this Peet's is the staff. There hasn't been one time where I walked into this Peet's coffee and didn't feel welcome. 6:30 pm.Whew ambiance is lacking at this. Place is trashed with trash on the floor, card board boxes flattened in a bin in front of pick up counter, delivery boxes greeting you at the door. All the tables were dirty. Condiment counter a wreck. Place looks very tired and beat up. Ordered French press for two. Only 1 small French press on site, medium press is broken. Ended up getting a large. And I'm paying money to have my coffee inside? Manager should know this place needs help. It's not my Peets for sure. 2 stars is generous today. read more

This morning around 11:30...I went in for my usual coffee. Laura, who was the Barista this morning, was super terrific and efficient (as always)...... But I cannot say that for Omar (who took my order) and Jacob, another employee......before he took my order, he was very busy chit-chatting to Jacob while the line to order slowly grew....And then Omar, when he did take my order, got it wrong and also never asked for my name.... Thank goodness Laura figured out the correct order and who it was for. Not sure I will want to go back to this Peet's on a Saturday morning if this is what it's like..... Extremely rude cashier. I was about to order and the cashier was looking at me, then he saw his friend behind me in line, called him out by name and asked him what he wanted and completely ignored me. I just walked out. I can make my coffee at home anyway I guess. read more

Customer service contacted me with regards to the awful service. I also spoke to the store manager who really tried to fuse the situation and was really comforting and assured me that it wouldn't happen again. I went in again today and although the employees were somewhat more delighted to see me, they knew nothing of what the manager spoke to me about. The one girl who assisted me decided to leave half way into assisting me (not sure if she was done her shift or if she went to lunch...who knows). Then another girl who I could barely understand didn't know anything about the products that they offered. She tried asking another employee but the other employee could not understand her either. Not sure how new this store is, but there was way too much confusion in there for me today. It was not organized and there seemed to be like 5 baristas working and nobody knew anything about their products-WEIRD!!. I gave them an extra star (only 2 stars last time) because the baristas actually looked at me while I spoke to them. read more

In my opinion, you should know what you are getting when you enter a Peet's coffee. It's a chain that pulls decent espresso and makes expensive baked goods. The service at this particular location however lead me to write a review. I frequent this shop because I love coffee and it is right next to my house. Every time I walk in I am greeted with a cheerful hello and instantly feel welcomed. I feel like few people appreciate these kind of niceties, but it really made me feel good and I can't emphasize enough how important this kind of service is to business. read more

First time here, I ordered the medium vanilla latte and mocha. Both of them have a really weak taste of coffee. Just feel like another Starbucks store, didn't feel like a hand crafted coffee. read more

Mind you this was my first and only visit here. I had a lot to do being Thanksgiving eve. I really needed that mid afternoon boost that only a large coffee and pastry can give. I venture in and am so happy to see that at 4:30pm they still had a vast array of pastries available. When I looked into the case displaying the pastries a nice gnat was busy over the delicacy I wanted. Then upon pointing it out to the cashier I espied a good old housefly busy at work. I ever so discussedly showed the cashier (Anton). He then became ice cold and had the idiotic nerve to tell me rudely not to reach over the case. I then asked for the manager's first and last name and the store number. I see others have yelped about the very same experience. Time to involve the Department of Health. I'll report back on the results of my contact with them. read more

Between after hours and Karl the fog, this was a bright spot and island oasis of the real start of the new day! Great selection of goodies and bomb coffees and teas. Had an espresso and zucchini bread like gramma used to make in Hawaii. Perfect break and rejuvenation. Staff was great. read more

Helpful, convenient, and the staff is always very friendly. Personally, I disagree with Yelps guidelines that a 5-star review, even for a chain, is somehow supposed to be that it was one of your best experiences ever. As someone who goes to coffee shops everyday, it's kind of like renting a car. If it does everything but it is supposed to do well, then I think that it gets 5 stars. It's a Peet's Coffee. Peet's Coffee makes, in my opinion, delicious coffee, absolutely horrible loose leaf tea (they put way too much in) but that's not the employees fault. I could go on a considerably longer digression about my issues with raiding every single outlet of every single chain on a scale of 1 to 5, frequently depending on how busy they were or whether or not they happen to be out of something that day, but if you are still reading this, I suppose I have wasted enough of your time. location is great. but watch out for over charging. some of the people are not trained. more than once they charged me the price of a large for a small drink. by the time i realized i was out of the line and too sleepy and tired to go back. i have to remind myself to look up at the prices and look at what the ring up at the register before handing over my card. you should too. read more
