Finally had the chance to try Peet's coffee! I've always lived by the one in Rivermark but never was into coffee until recently. My body is still getting used to caffeine and I ordered The Black Tie and it was so strong (not in taste). My heart was racing like crazy, not in a bad way though lol! Peet's is more cozy and relaxing than going to your nearest Starbucks with their crazy lines and everyone trying to study. I thought service here was good. Just like the others I enjoy but in a very different type of building! Setting very similar and layout must meet corporate standards as they are all pretty consistent! You turn around and the condiments await you! The servers are friendly and the black tie javiva substitute is my item of choice! The little cup Christmas tree ornaments are cool too! One of my favorite places to come and study. Located right in the Santa Clara Town center this Peet's location has lots of great selections of coffee along with many different pastries and other foods to eat. I usually order their black tie or their cold brew iced coffee with vanilla, both of which are delicious and not too sweet, a must try!!!! They have many different cookies and muffins all of which you should try, especially their oatmeal raisin cookie ^_^ Service here is really good, the cashiers always are friendly and make the atmosphere here very welcoming and relaxed. The baristas make the best drinks and I have yet to be disappointed. They have a lot of chairs and outlets for people who want to study and charge their laptops so if you ever need a place to study and a good cup of joe come to Peet's at the Santa Clara town center!!! read more

Let me start by saying I love Peets coffee. I go nowhere else to get my coffee because I feel its superior to the others. My one and only complaint? Why do you have to stack up half a dozen drinks before you bring them out. I have stood there watching my drink get cold while the rest are being made. If there is no one in line the cashier can easily call out names that are finished rather than wait for whatever phantom number of drinks you need to pile up before you bring them out. True: I am a rabid Peet's fan and have been for years. This branch is my hang out. Their Mocha (no whip thank you very much) is my go-to treat.... I used to be in love with their Almond Croissant...now my heart belongs to Hummingbird Cake! Yesterday at around noon I picked up my triple medium cappuccino with disappointing results at Santa Clara Pete's on El Camino! . Should have know by the weight! Too much milk. The only reason I moved to Pete's from Starbucks was to get better quality.. 80% of the time ok! Today Starbucks did an excellent job! Consistency is a problem! This Peet's Coffee & Tea location is a medium sized store with friendly employees, tasty drinks, and decent snacks. I visited this Peet's location recently and ordered a small Javiva Mocha Blend coffee ($4) and a Carmelita bar ($2.50). Regarding the mocha blend, I asked for no whipped cream when I placed my order, but my server added whipped cream anyway. After he handed my my coffee, I noticed that there was a large dollop of whipped cream on top, so I reminded him that I asked for no whipped cream; he proceeded to use a spoon to scoop out the whipped cream and then hand the coffee back to me... ...in most cases, a server will make you a new coffee. The Carmelita bar was decent; it's made with caramel, chocolate, and oats, and is most likely too sweet for the average person. What I enjoyed most about this Peet's location is the view. I was lucky enough to snag the table closest to the restroom, which offers a great view of the main intersection, and is a great place to sit down and read. This location is out of the way for me to go to, but if I'm in the area again and crave coffee, I'll most likely return. read more

Woke up early this morning and actually looked forward to walking over this morning with my dog. Thinking it could be a nice tradition for an early Sunday morning walk with my dog. Upon arriving and looked around for a place to tie my dog but seeing that the shop was practically empty with the exception for three other customers I decided to pick up my dog and carry her in with me. I already felt awkward for being my dog inside and figured someone would get excited to explain the law to me first chance they get (I'm fully aware of the law, since I am a lawyer ) plus I wanted to test the waters and see if this new Peets coffee would be dog friendly. Well of course the law was explain to me very quickly and I get a pass today I was told, but next time I'll have to tie my dog outside. No hard feeling btw just be warned other dog owners. They are just doing there job which I can understand. Anyways...I obviously have a self entitlement One of the things I really enjoyed about other Peets coffee I've visited: willow glen, rose garden area is how dog friendly they are and actually have water bowls outside. I've never had any issue... Also it's the people that make the local coffee shop, and I think I'll organize a weekly doggie day outing for everyone to meet at peets coffee in the morning. We can all sit outside and enjoy a nice morning with our pets. Just like other peets coffee I've visited in the surrounding area So if you have a dog let's start a weekly meet up every Sunday morning 7-8 and all socialize with each other and our dogs. read more

Great new Peets in the revamped Santa Clara Town Center. Large clean with a good sized patio. It maybe dead of winter but it was near 80 degrees F outside, so we set up some shade and hung out in the warm day. Large hibiscus iced tea really hit the spot. I feel like a traitor for saying it, but...Peet's is SO much better than Starbucks. There, I said it. (Little known trivia, Starbuck and Peet's used to be owned by the same person until he decided it would be best to run one or the other, so he chose Peet's) So I pretty much get White Chocolate Mocha wherever I go, and their's blew me away. They didn't over-sweeten, so you still got the strong taste of coffee. Perfect! This particular location is in a busy shopping center, so parking isn't always the easiest to find, but worth the short walk! You can usually find a table inside or out, depending on your preference. The staff is friendly, always ready with a smile and "hello". The one time I had an issue with my order, they gave me a FREE drink card for my next visit. Now that's Customer Service! read more

So now I'm leaving frustrated, time wasted watching the internet access page hang. The people who work here do a good job, but this unfortunately is not the first Peet's that has had Wi-Fi problems. This Peet's location is located in a plaza. I went on a late Saturday morning and was still able to find parking. The place was busy. The table we were sitting at inside wasn't quite wiped clean, some crumbs and stuff on it. So I used my napkins to wipe the crumbs and stuff away. I ordered a iced latte with hazelnut, and it was a little too sweet... It's alright. Won't let one experience ruin it. On a plus, workers were nice and drinks came quick. I love Peet's. Really good coffee and tea. However, they got rid of the organic African Nectar Tea which was my favorite. I keep on asking them to bring it back, but TBD. First time come to this location while I was shopping nearby. I ordered a Matcha javiva with extra matcha powder, and I was charged 50cents for the matcha powder! THIS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME AT ANY OTHER PEETS LOCATION I WENT TO! My regular Peets is Alameda and Steven Creeks and they always make my Matcha extra bold with extra matcha powder AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! The staff is also not friendly at all including the cashier and the barista. My other drink was Mocha Javiva and it was not even filled up like WTF? This place makes the coffee fast and well, the only reason I didn't give 4 - 5 stars was because a lot of the times I order a Havana cappuccino and for some reason half the cup is foam. This happens to me so often and I didn't want to keep bringing it up so I learned to ask for "light foam" or "no foam". Which is unfortunate that I would have to do that but it's such a recurring issue and they don't seem to understand that they aren't filling up the cup. If you're looking for a place to drink some decent coffee, complete work and spend hours upon hours....come here! The staff/baristas are extremely kind and oblige to every request, from more soy milk to a cup of ice, etc. I had their most basic...iced coffee, and it was delicious. I even got extra ice and soy milk throughout my visit. They didn't dismiss me at any point. This made me feel valued. Even though I only spent around $3, they treated me like I spent $300. I completed 4 hours worth of work during my visit and was not in pain or uncomfortable. Their booths are the comfiest things you will sit in. I won't lie, there were a ton of people in and out of this location. It could get pretty overwhelming. Despite the craziness of such a busy busy shop it made for a decent work time. read more

So instead of filling it to the top by adding more ice (which is cheaper than whipped cream!) they essentially told me it's my fault, because I didn't order whipped cream.
