This is a difficult review because I'm from Queens NY and finding Greek food in Florida is a little off. I'm too hyper critical. This place is OK. I find a lot of meat to be overly charred and the spices are too strong. The Gyros are way salty for my taste but others may like it. I used to love their Chicken salad wrap but they are very heavy on the tarragon. Started to taste like I was eating a #2 pencil. Otherwise its a well liked place and always very busy. The place is always clean and they are always on top of your order so your never wondering where your food is. Just wish they would carry some more traditional pastries. read more

Pros: Excellent Greek food (honestly one of the best in downtown/brickell area); Very affordable; owner is dedicated and always there to accomodate you. Recommendations: Gyro (their fries are awesome) Cons: Closed evenings and weekends (they say they will start opening Saturday afternoons, but not sure they have yet). With a place this good, they really should open evenings...that's the only reason for giving it four stars instead of five. read more

Great to have another Greek restaurant in downtown Miami. I prefer the taste of the food at Stoupsy's (another Greek restaurant downtown which has been open for at least 10 years. Pros: Hummus, Greek salad with chicken (very fresh, tomatoes and cucumbers could have been cut a little smaller and more dressing, or oregano or flavor added to dressing or oil and vinegar, but overall good). Available seating inside and out. Waiter (Brazilian guy) was very nice and attentive. Cons: Falafel: Seemed fresh and generous portion, but awful aftertaste. I had a falafel salad that made my week. My server CHRISTINA, I believe she was Colombian, super sweet, super helpful, catered to my specific diet which could be annoying to 80% of the population but she was just awesome. I was really disappointed by this place. I wanted to enjoy it, I really did, but the only thing that redeemed my meal were the French fries. Not to say the meal was bad, it just wasn't good. Service aside, the whole experience was pretty mediocre. There's another Greek place a couple blocks away that's 10x better, I'd recommend stopping there. Have eaten here more then a half dozen times, but perhaps no more. The food is inconsistent. Some days ok some days not so ok. The prices a tad high for lunch; a falafel wrap is $9.99. A recent experience convinced me to eat elsewhere. Our lunches took about 35 minutes to arrive. Once they were dellivered, no wait staff came to check on the food which was a problem as the wrap had been grilled dry and was burnt black in places. I had requested an ingredient not to be on the food and the wrap was stuffed with it. The food was uneaten and after 20 minutes wait staff came by, and were informed about the food and the response was ok, here's your check. Really? I think I will find another greek place downtown. Pega Grill is inconsistent at best. read more

Kudos to me for giving this place a second chance. And kudos to them for not messing it up. Today I had the pleasure of trying their Greek burger with feta and tzatziki sauce which was SCRUMTIOUS and massive. Be careful when paying with a credit/debit card! Placed order by phone and picked it up 15 minutes after. Paid with my credit/debit card and found out 2 days later that they added "a tip" to total!!! Worst service I've ever experienced......EVER! Took 20 minutes to get water and over an hour to get Hummus dip. The table was unsteady and they wouldn't move us to another table. After walking by it so many times, I finally tried this new Greek spot for lunch. My friend and I both ordered the chicken gyro and it was delicious. The chicken gyro comes with a mustard dill sauce that is really good. However, they get one less star because they would not sub the fries that come with the gyro. We asked for a side salad or other side dish but the server said they would not change it, not even for a surcharge, so we asked them not to bring out the fries. I would have appreciated an effort to try to please us somehow, or knock $1 or 2 off the bill since we did not ask for the fries. Overall, the food was very good and I will be back to sample some of their other dishes. read more

Great spot for a lunch break for those who work downtown. I really enjoy their falafel and their hummus. They also make a really good dish (I can't remember the name) but it's a purée a lot like hummus, but made from a yellow pea. It's delicious and I haven't found this dish anywhere else. read more

This was my first and last time ordering from here. I walked and ordered a beef/lamb gyro no onions extra tzaziki on the side which came to 12 bucks. I was a little surprised but it is what it is. Ok, the gyro itself was disappointing with thick hard pieces of meat and it was very salty, the lettuce was wilted and tomato was soggy. The tzaziki sauce was delicious and the only reason I am giving Pega 2 stars. There was confusion in handing me my to go order and no utensils as well. Just finished my lunch (a late lunch, due to a late breakfast), but it was absolutely delicious. One of my friends was telling me to go here, then another person told me to go here, but I still hadn't gone yet. So today, I was talking to the security at my building telling them that I tried Little Lotus (around the corner) and it was delicious, so the security guard told me that I should try Pega Grill. Since I was unsure of what to eat, I took their advice and I was not disappointed. My lunch was delicious. The spicy feta dip caught my eye and good thing because it was absolutely delicious. Then, I tried to order the Tuesday special (the baked meatballs) not realizing it was Wednesday. They told me they were out, so I was temporarily disappointed until the server told me that I could order today's special, the Yemista. It was at that moment that it hit me, "it's Wednesday, not Tuesday, which makes perfect sense that they don't have Tuesday's special." So I ordered Wednesday's special (since it's Wednesday, makes more sense), the Yemista, which was a green pepper and a red tomatoe stuffed with seasoned rice and beef and it came with slices of lemon baked potatoes. I was a huge portion of food. I ate one slice of potatoe and the stuffed green pepper and was full. The other half of the potatoe and the stuffed tomato will be my dinner. Now I'm just wondering why I didn't try this place sooner with all the positive feedback I have heard from other people that work in the building with me. When I pointed this out, they acted surprised and returned with the olives. But twice? Like I said, keep your eyes open and be sure you get what they promise on the menu. Absolutely great service going here today ! After dealing with some business in the jewelry plaza my dad and I decided to get a quick lunch and I can assure you it was a quick lunch. Although the restaurant itself may not be so big, the pace of the restaurant itself was busy. You had people sitting down and leaving every minute available. The food there was really mouth watering when I first saw the photos on the walls and whatnot. I may not be a very big greek person but, this food was delicious. I ordered something called the Chicken Gyro Wrap and it fulfilled my appetite! Once we sat down and ordered the food came out in maximum 5 minutes. The service that the employees introduced was phenomenal with the bright smiles and quick movement around the restaurant. Would recommend if you're out in the Miami area and just looking for something quick and tasty to eat, spent maximum 25-30 minutes there and left with a happy stomach. Monday three colleagues and I went to Pega Grill, a small Greek restaurant in the heart of Downtown Miami. I had a Greek salad with grilled chicken breast, my colleagues had a grilled salmon, a baked chicken (the daily special), and a gyro. There was a variety of healthy and delicious side dishes available. The food was extraordinary and the service was friendly and fast. I really liked the wide variety of healthy options. This was our first time eating here but my colleagues all agree we will be back frequently. I am also considering engaging them to cater an office lunch meeting. read more
