Some Pei Weis are good and some are not so good I have found. This one is pretty good though and would recommend it. Good place for a date if is not too crowded. I got to say one of the best and cleanest restaurants in Addison. I got the honey seared chicken and got the egg noodles instead of rice noodles. I called in and told them that I have made a mistake by ordering the wrong noodles and they told me just to come in and the will exchange it to whatever I wanted. Also, CLAUDIA is a great employee....a beautiful lady from Salvador originally...thanks for saving my cell phone about a year ago. It is not the food as much in this case but the level of service that I am impressed. Well balanced and properly cooked food. I would like to make a suggestion to add nice chicken soup to your menu...especially during winter season.... like the one in PF Chang...nice size bowl...and great broth. read more

This review is for the Pei Wei on Beltline at Addison Road in Addison, Texas: I used to completely love Pei Wei, so I wanted to go there for my birthday dinner a few weeks ago. The service was very good, but the food was...disgusting. I ordered my favorite - Veggie Pad Thai with tofu. It tasted TERRIBLE, not fresh, GROSS! I asked for some cilantro that used to come with this dish, and received a ramekin of chopped wilted cilantro. Not sure if it is just this location or if they have all gone downhill. I did go to their website and fill out a formal feedback complaint with every way to contact me about my experience. As soon as I submitted the form I got a response saying that someone would be getting back to me shortly. I never heard from ANYONE with Pei Wei. Great Fortress of Taste? More like shack full of we don't care about you OR making decent food. I will not be back to this location, and definitely not seek out any Pei Wei again. read more

So bad. The food was terrible the fried rice chicken was clumps with fatty pieces in every bite. The sweet and sour chicken was soggy and I waited while they made it. I just think the quality is crap for $19.00 for myself is terrible. read more

Excellent food. The Chicken Pad Thai (Chicken, rice noodles, sliced tofu, bean sprouts, with fresh lime slice, cilantro and crushed peanuts to garnish) is my personal favorite as are the Lettuce Wraps (Chicken, water chestnuts, mushrooms, and of course lettuce). This place is busy during lunchtime, the best time to hit it up is early in the afternoon, after the lunch rush, but before rush hour! If you're like me and like your food HOT, ask for the korean hot pepper sauce! The Coconut Curry (I get it with... you guessed it, chicken) is, pardon the cliché, TO DIE FOR - curry prepared in coconut milk, with red bell peppers, onions, ginger, and... a type of long green bean... it's delicious. The staff is ever-changing, they must have a high turnover, but the quality of the food doesn't suffer. The staff is always pleasant and efficient, even when under the tremendous pressure of the lunch rush line (it occasionally goes out the door)! Oh, and if you're a fan of edamame, they have it, it's hard to go wrong with that! ~.o This isn't a "Chinese" place, nor is it a "Thai" place, it's a mixture of Thai, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese, it's a fusion restaurant so if you're looking for traditional "Asian" foods, this is not the place for you, they put an interesting twist in every dish. If you're wary of "Asian" foods, you'll probably change your tune after a visit to Pei Wei, honestly. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone! ^.^ Oh! This was my first time eating here. I was not impressed. a little bit about my background. I am Chinese from Hong Kong. I was a Chinese chef for 4 years working in a real Chinese restaurant. I could see the chefs cooking behind the tables and non of them were Asian. They were all Mexican. so you have Mexican cooking Chinese food in an Asian restaurant. If they were well trained, I don't see a problem. I ordered the Coconut Curry Chicken. It was terrible. There were raw ginger in my dish. Ginger is used after the oil is hot and you put it in there for 30 seconds max and you either take them out or start to cook it with the rest of the meat or vegetable. Raw or 1/2 cooked ginger taste pretty bad. There was also green bean, and again they were hardly cooked, so they were very hard and taste bad. The sauce was way too thick. It was like a paste. The whole dish was a disaster. If you like Mexican-Chinese food, this is the place for you. If you like real Chinese food, go to a Chinese restaurant. read more

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a pei wei. I absolutely love this restaurant and have eaten here many times in my life. The service was completely awful. We waited about 10 minutes just to get our order taken or even asked if we had been helped while being the ONLY people at the register. There was also a woman running around looking as if she was in panic and yelling across the restaurant to ask customers what their order was supposed to be. The utensils were dirty, the high chairs were dirty... the whole place looked to be in shambles. I was not even that upset though because I knew that the food (the same thing I have been ordering for over 10 years) was going to be great! Well, that was not the case.. after my order was incorrect, and about 45 minutes... I got my food and it was awful. I have been ordering the same thing for so long and it has always been the same. I'm not sure what they did but it tasted terrible and only had 7 small pieces of chicken on the plate. I am so disappointed to say the least. read more

Why Pei Wei, why?! This location is awful. My husband and I have always been big fans of Pei Wei but this location ruined it for us. The food is consistently stale, overcooked, dry, and gross. We would wait a few weeks and try again, but it took us a long time to learn our lesson. The Addison Pei Wei is broken, folks. Don't go there. read more

I ordered online. Walked in and there was a black male worker looking lost. All the other workers were bustling. He was just standing there in the take out area. If you asked him a question, he either didnt hear you or he was spaced out. When he did finally talk, his voice was so low that you couldn't hear it. There is another worker, black female working her backside off trying to put the to go orders together. I cant figure out what was the male's role in this restaurant. I was told only one register was working. It was the register where everyone was wanting to place their order. I got my to go order. Headed back to work. The lettuce had brown spots and in small pieces. The chicken stuffing was not like I've seen before. Not a lot of rice sticks. Too many mushrooms. The whole chicken stuffing was like mush. I love the lettuce wraps but I won't be coming back here. The meal wasn't worth what I paid for. Presentation of the food was not appetizing. read more

I wonder if they are trying to cater to children or if this is the only way middle America will eat Asian food. Typically I don't give chain restaurants 5 stars, but the service here is absolutely excellent. It was 8:30, so typically at most restaurants employees would slack off. Not this one, however. Our food arrived within 3 minutes of us ordering, heck some of us hadn't even sat down when our food arrived. They even threw in an extra special bonus lettuce wrap for our friend who wasn't eating. I went there during lunch hour and couldn't even find a place to park. After 5 min of waiting went to another restaurant. Open up the back lot so people can at least drive through your lot. Went there Saturday again thinking it won't be busy, waited 5 min again but was able to get a spot to park. After eating the food I am not sure why waited 5 min to park. Good location, great fusion food. Going into this place, you have to know that you are not getting 100% authentic home-cookin Asian food. It's a fusion restaurant, and more fast-paced and casual then the normal sit-down, and that's how the market it. Food has flavor and the atmosphere fits the decor and style. read more

Do not go here if you want good gluten free! I ordered the gluten free sweet and sour chicken from this location tonight. Every time I've ordered a gluten free meal from any pei wei, they put a sticker indicating which meal is gluten free but not tonight. I called to see if they could confirm it was gluten free and the cashier felt bad so she said she'd comp my meal especially since I have celiacs disease and can't risk eating a meal that contains gluten. After waiting for 5 mins, the manager gets on the phone and tries explaining that it could look like it contained gluten but it should be gluten free which is not acceptable when it's not just a preference, but a severe allergy. When your cashier offers to comp a meal, then the manager gets on the phone and is rude about your call, you lose customers. Pei Wei's gluten free sweet and sour chicken is one of my favorite meals since being diagnosed, but when the manager of this location doesn't even try to be understanding about your concerns it's very disappointing. I will not be returning to this Pei Wei location again. read more
