Cashiers in most food places assume they ppl have been there before but I encourage all employees unless you recognize someone , treat everyone like it's their first time. After I told her it was my first time she helped out and was very nice. The food- The chicken itself was VERY SPICY and would NOT recommend to children. I like a bit of spice to my food but this was borderline inedible. I too kit to go but didn't finish it. I couldn't enjoy it. The rice was ok and the Thai donuts were a bit overcooked but edible. They could have gotten another 5 star review as food was prompt from kitchen, hot and tasted good. And we got leftovers. Problem today was 47 deg outside and just as cold inside. Upon entering the esteemed restaurant, I noticed that the atmosphere was extremely welcoming and celebratory. My wife ordered take out from this location on 11/15/2024 and our Gluten Free Kung Pao Chicken came with the top cap of the pea box on top of our food, disgusting!! Also, asked for no scallions and got scallions in the dish anyway. I immediately called the store manager after receiving the to-go order and he stated he would refund us for the dish. Not only did he not refund us, I had to call back again on 11/18/2024 to speak to a different manager by the name of Tanner who wrote down my information and stated he would refund me since the original store manager that I spoke to wasn't there that day. He never refunded us either. Terrible customer service by both managers and disgusting food preparation by this location! I also sent a complaint directly to their customer service website and never received a response back. We would order from this location on a weekly basis, Never ever giving this place business again. read more

Had a sudden hankering for Chinese food so we decided on Pei Wei. I totally regret the decision now. Placed a pick up order for their firecracker chicken with noodles, Korean bbq steak with fried rice, and spicy drunken noodles. The only decent thing was the spicy drunken noodles and the firecracker chicken dish that was thrown on a bed of plain noodles. I guess I shouldn't have assumed it would be lo mein noodles, but I've also never been served plain noodles as a side. The drunken noodles were decent but definitely not as good as other restaurants that make this. The Korean bbq steak dish was awful. Just awful. Flavors were so salty and didn't taste like anything. I'm Korean and it definitely had no Korean flavors whatsoever. Do not order this. I spent $40 on my meal here and regret it 100%. I could've gone to an actual Chinese restaurant and gotten real food for the same price or cheaper. Never coming back again. read more

Having lunch here today in their Plano, TX unit. We ordered chicken lettuce wrap and orange chicken on top of white rice. They're freshly made and delicious. Pei Wei offers pan Asian dishes made to order in an open concept kitchen using cooking methods like wok firing. Gluten free ingredients including their famous cauliflower rice. All placed orders are being freshly cooked at an average fast and casual time of twelve minutes each. Pei Wei's parted ways from P.F. Chang's but it was not an ownership shift. If you need a quick lunch, it is fine. The ability to customize is great, but substitutions are pretty much verboten. Some options like in the bento box are only fried options, with no healthy substitute. If you are avoiding wheat or fried anything, it's a bit tough to eat here. Chicken is fried. Dumplings are fried. The cauliflower rice looks like a great idea....until you taste it. Spoiler alert - it tastes like cauliflower, not rice. If you drown it in a sauce it is better, but you've defeated the whole purpose of getting cauliflower rice. They clean up for you, so don't feel badly about leaving your stuff at the table.
