The food even looked good thru the container lids

I discovered Masala Wok thru the original location years ago. It was excellent and I Ate there for years until they declined. I found this location a few years ago but had a couple of just ok experiences. Passing by today I thought I'd give them another try. It was early but I didn't want to cook or drive thru junk so... They have a kiosk you can order at or wait for someone to take your order. I don't do kiosks and was helped quickly. Early afternoon the place was not busy. It seemed to take a while for my order to be prepared but I hoped it was because it was being done right. After about a 20 minute wait I took my order and headed home. A trick I learned from my mother is,stick your food in the microwave and it stays warm. Seriously,it works and in this case my food was still very warm two hours later. Chicken Tika Masala - excellent Kung Pao Chicken - excellent Chicken Biryani - very good and different than I've had All in all I was more than happy with Masala Woks food at this location. I wouldn't hesitate to go back for take out and you should... Go!

I went to Masala Wok and got the thai basil fried rice. Overall it was alright. Nothing exceptional of bad. I enjoyed the tofu due to its softness and the flavor profile of the dish, but really wish it was far spicier and less oily. The oiliness of the dish severely hampered the rice as i felt my heart begging me to stop and retracted away from the solid flavor provided elsewhere throughout the dish.

Went here for lunch yesterday. The foood was amazing as always! We ordered blazing noodles, szechuan fried rice, and hot garlic sauce with chicken and jasmine rice! All of them were served hot and tasted amazing! One thing which bothered us was that the AC was not working and it was very hot at the restaurant! And they didn't even tell us until we went and asked them. They didn't even have fans to circulate the air so we were literally sweating the whole time...

The concept is great, but the food fell short on execution. It's a twist on Indian food. I visited the location for dinner on a Friday evening. The location was fairly clean with minimal patrons. The food was room temperature. The flavors were okay. The rice was horrible!!! The menu's confusing. The menu need to be revamped to flow better.

The chicken seemed to be dark meat, but it was high quality. The sauce was flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Basmati rice was perfectly cooked. The naan was thinner than most and just a bit crispy, but good. My mango lassi was enjoyable as well. Also of note - portions were generous. Counter service was professional and knowledgeable when I ordered, and they checked in during my meal to make sure everything was good. The atmosphere was pleasant - modern and clean. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a modern, casual Indian restaurant.

The curry was creamy and flavorful without being too heavy, which is perfect when you still have the rest of the workday ahead of you. And the naan? Soft, warm, and fresh... the kind that just completes the meal. The portions are generous, so you get great value for lunch. It's definitely more satisfying than the typical quick-grab options around the area. And the dining area is clean, casual, and comfortable enough to actually enjoy your break instead of rushing through a meal. Plano has a lot of Desi food options, but for a weekday lunch that delivers real taste and isn't rushed or sloppy, O'Desi Aroma stands out.

I'll start by saying this, I'm not casually into Indian food. I'm an Indian food aficionado. My…read morebusiness partner is Indian, and we are constantly trying new Indian restaurants. If you really know Indian food, you know there are levels to this. Most places serve what I lovingly call Campbell's Soup Tikka Masala. Super sweet, neon red, one note, wrong color, wrong consistency. Basically tomato soup with sugar and turmeric pretending to be a masala. It fills you up, but it doesn't make you pause and savor anything. Spice Grove Indian Cuisine is not that place. This is the real deal. The flavors are layered, balanced, and clearly cooked with intention. Not overly sweet, not dumbed down, just full of garlic, spice, depth, and that unmistakable "this was done right" feeling you get when Indian food is executed properly. We ordered a spread, saag, tikka masala, butter chicken, korma, vindaloo, garlic naan, and honestly there wasn't a weak dish on the table. Everything had the right color, the right texture, and the right punch of flavor. This is food you slow down for. I won't say this is the single best Indian food I've ever had, I reserve that for a few heavy hitters like Dishoom and Brigadiers in London and Chola in New York City. But if those are 10s, this is a very solid 8.5, and that is high praise. They're busy for a reason. You cannot go wrong here. If you love Indian food, or want to understand why people love Indian food, just go. You'll leave happy and probably already planning your next visit.

The butter chicken with the garlic naan was so good and had a little kick to it. We also got their chicken biriyani which was good and spicy, you can see the masala within the rice. On the side we got their pani puri which was good and perfect for sharing and as an appetizer. The last dish we got was their szheuan noodles with chicken and it was spicy if you can handle the level of spice but filled with so much flavors or Indian and Chinese flavors. Definitely will be back to try more thing son the menu:

I've never seen so many brown people in my life in Dallas so you know it's legit. The wait was clearly an indicator of the popularity of this place and I could not believe how it went on and on inside. I should've counted how many people were working! The little chips were fun to munch on and I admit that I definitely had fun putting them on my fingers. I thought this was going to be healthy but no- the oil and the butter was insane. Between the roti and the crepe thing and all of the dipping sauces, just delicious. Will absolutely come back! Last thing, be careful as the floor is a bit slippery.

A place that promises a mix of South Indian classics along with Indo-Chinese favorites always piques my curiosity. So we decided to stop by and give it a try. Located in Frisco, Texas it is fairly easy to find. Parking was also manageable, which is always a plus. The place has a casual and welcoming vibe, nothing overly fancy, but comfortable and inviting. Even on a Tuesday, the place was packed. Fortunately, we had called and reserved a place. The décor leans toward a traditional Indian restaurant feel with a simple setup that keeps the focus on the food. We were soon seated and provided with Fryums, which we finished within a minute. The server wad happy to answer questions about the menu. We decided to explore a variety of items from different sections of the menu and the food came out at a reasonable pace. We ordered: 1 Mushroom ghee roast 1 Baby corn manchurian 1 Onion chilli uttapam 1 Benne dosa 1 Chole bhature 1 Set dosa with salna 1 Jackfruit biryani The 'Mushroom ghee roast', was truly excellent with great flavors. The mushrooms were nicely coated in the rich, spicy ghee roast masala, delivering that bold South Indian punch. Next came the 'Baby corn Manchurian',, a classic Indo-Chinese favorite. The baby corn had a good crunch and the sauce had that familiar tangy-spicy flavor you associate with hakka cuisine. For the dosa section, we tried the 'benne dosa', which had a nice buttery flavor and crisp texture- simple yet satisfying. The 'Set dosa with Salna' was soft and fluffy, and the salna added a nice aromatic gravy element to the dish. The 'Onion chilli uttapam' was thick, soft, and generously topped with brown onions, making it a comforting bite. All the above South Indian dishes were great but what blew us away was the 3 chutneys: Tamarind, Spicy Tomato Chilli and Green Peanut. They were absolutely delicious and took the food to another level. The Sambhar however was decent but not that great. Moving to the North Indian side, the 'Chole bhature' came with fluffy bhature and well-spiced chole. We absolutely loved the depth of flavor. Finally, the 'Jackfruit biryani' was an interesting and enjoyable dish. The jackfruit worked surprisingly well as a meat substitute, absorbing the biryani spices nicely and adding a unique texture. However, some of us found it to be bit more on the tangy side. To Foodies: If you enjoy exploring a wide range of Indian flavors, from South Indian breakfast classics to Indo-Chinese appetizers and hearty North Indian dishes, this place is worth checking out. The menu offers variety, and it's a good spot if you want to try multiple styles of Indian cuisine in one sitting. To Management: You have a solid and diverse menu that covers many Indian favorites. Continuing to maintain consistency in flavor and presentation will go a long way. A few standout dishes highlighted on the menu or recommendations from staff could also help first-time visitors navigate the wide selection. Overall Rating: 8.4 / 10 Signing off: Rahul V.S. aka CanIndian Foodie
