I appreciated they had the sauces and utensils available to grab as you need. I got the sesame chicken combination plate that came with fried rice and a pork egg roll as well as the crab rangoons. The sesame chicken was cooked well and coated with the right amount of sauce. The fried rice was fair but a bit on the drier side. The crab rangoons were fresh hot and tasted great. As I work my way through the Chinese American take out restaurants in the Triad, this spot came up for my next visit. It is located in the Silas Creek Pkwy Shopping Center near Marshalls. This spot is small with limited inside dining available. They have several ceiling fans but were not running air conditioning when I visit - it was very hot inside and the kitchen was slow, over 20 minutes for Fried Chicken Wings with Shrimp Fried Rice ($10.95). As it turned out, the wait was worth it, though next time I'll call in my order to eliminate much of the wait time! The wings were the full ones and there were 4. I was a little concerned that there wasn't going to be enough rice, because the rice containers were small, but they really packed it in there such that when you start getting it out, you realize that they seem to define physics. Food took forever but it was really good! Everyone loved it! And even with the delivery fee we spent less than $20 for three people! Chicken lo mein-absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked noodles and yummy sauce, not too salty. Sesame chicken-crisp white meat and just the right amount of sauce coating the chicken. We ordered to our hotel room and it took more than an hour but it was worth the wait. When ordering delivery, I usually order a lot of food to make the trip worthwhile. This time was no exception. Was a bit afraid to order, given the very low star rating it has here on Yelp. Most of those were for slow delivery times. That's okay. If you're not in a rush, the food is very good. Otherwise go pick it up yourself, or be patient! Items ordered: 1. Egg rolls - average, if a bit hard. 2. Cold noodles with sesame sauce - under appetizers, large portion, very good, lo mein noodles, slightly spicy, peanut buttery flavor, sprinkled with green onions and sesame seeds. Ordered this because the weather was going to get icy, and could have a possible power outage. Noodles keep well, and taste good cold. 3. Wonton soup - average, big thick wontons. 4. Roast pork lo mein - average. I tend to rate a lot of things as average. This doesn't mean that it's bad, it just means it did not wow me. 5. Chicken chow mein - good. Can't remember the last time I had chicken chow mein. Lots of onions and celery in a thick clear sauce. The flavor is a bit bland, but still warm and comforting. I usually add soy sauce to everything, makes it better to me. Comes with crunchy wonton noodles. Think it was for the chow mein, could have been for the wonton soup. 6. Broccoli with garlic sauce - a bit sweet, spicy. Broccoli cooked well. Could have been a little less sweet, in my opinion. A lot of Chinese food tends to be a little too sweet for me. *7. Curry *beef* with onion - ordered beef, got *chicken.* Oops!! That's okay. The curry chicken was very, very good. It had snow peas, broccoli, onions, bamboo shoots, green peppers, baby corn, it was nicely spicy and curry forward! Don't know if the beef would have been as good, honestly. I would totally get the curry chicken again, and in quart size. Yay for happy accidents! 8. General Tso's Chicken - sweet, spicy, had a few pieces of broccoli. Overall, it was good. Again, I wish places would ease up on the sugar some. Wound up mixing this large portion with my broccoli and garlic sauce. They worked together very well. 9. Teriyaki chicken - probably the most disappointing thing ordered. Three pieces on skewers. Don't know if they'd been sitting for a while. The meat was a bit dry, and very stringy when chewed. Was able to make it better by wrapping it in aluminum foil, adding a little hot water, and steaming them in the foil bag in the toaster oven. Added my own teriyaki sauce I had at home. It was still stringy, but not as dry. Maybe I caught them on an off night? Might try it one more time, just to see. One of the more interesting options I noticed, when ordering pints of food they usually come with plain white rice. Their website gives you the option of changing that to something else, for a slight upcharge. Changed all of my white rice to veggie fried rice, chicken fried rice, and pork fried rice. You could also change them to lo mein, for a fee. That option alone is wonderful! Got to try their fried rice, all of which were very good. Plus, if they say spicy - they mean it. A lot of places say spicy, but you search for the heat. Would absolutely order from them again. Would probably go pick it up myself, unless I had no choice. The delivery was a bit longer than stated. But considering most Chinese places don't deliver, I'm happy to wait. Their prices are affordable, portions are filling, and flavors are solid. read more

Entered the restaurant gave a hearty hello to the female at the cash register and her response was a dry "May I help you?" I ordered and paid and was told it would be 10 minutes. I told her I'd be back for it, but she was already waiting on the next person. I returned and there was a male sitting at one of the tables on the other side where the staff was. He came looked at me and went to get my order and handed it to me. I went to one of the side tables to check my order(which I have learned to do with rake out these days) and sure enough, there was white rice instead of the fried rice I'd ordered. I took it back to the register and the male came from the side table again where he was seated. I explained I ordered fried rice. He took the white rice and proceeded to the back w/o washing his hands or putting on gloves and then put rice in a container. He brought it to me and I requested that he give me a container of rice while wearing gloves. He said, "I wash my hands!" I said, "Not before or since I saw you." He huffed and put on gloves and gave me the right rice the hygienic way. They have a sign saying do not enter w/o a mask. What about their part in keeping the public safe. When I was served the service was very friendly and fast. The answered the few question I had (is it fried or not). The lunch menu is impressive with lots of options. Two meals came to $11!! Truest me when I say it was more then enough. A co worker also came in and ordered and I saw the same friendly service. I had sweet and sour pork which you don't always find on the menu at most places. My food was quickly out, pork was pretty good, I like the sauce a lot. The fried rice wasn't my favorite but wasn't the sorest I have had. The egg roll was more of a cabbage log. While I eat another customer came in. I heard the order and conversation. I could understand the staff 20 foot away just fine but he clearly was having issues. The more they had to repeat themselves the more the staff got frustrated. In their defense they spoke very clearly and the customer wasn't making it easy on them. My one complaint would be the inside. Lots of personal things on multiple tables. Also the health grade was placed kind of high on the wall and is covered up by banners making it impossible to see when you are ordering. This is simply solid Chinese take-out food. I liked the crab rangoon I ordered, as well as the Hot and Sour Soup, I thought the vegetable balance and tanginess of the soup was tasty. I ordered Singapore Noodles, and would have like more veggies or something, as it was mostly just straight up curry noodles, but I'd definitely try the place again for other items on the menu. The portions are big, which is awesome, but the reason this is 3 instead of 4 stars is that the phone service is abrupt, so I was still talking to ask how long my wait would be before I should pick up my food and I was hung upon. I didn't even know I called the right business because they answered just "May I help you?". I got to the restaurant about 10-15 minutes after calling in my order and still had to wait another 15 minutes, they were busily preparing delivery orders (there were A TON). I minded waiting only because I was asking that question when I was hung up on, but the thing I appreciated about the wait was that ALL of the food my friends and I had ordered was cooked while I was there and was piping hot, so that was nice. The food usually has a good taste to it but, the description of the item you order is not what you get. We ordered the Dragon and Phoenix and The menu stated that it had jumbo shrimp in the dish. What was in there was more like very small shrimp. I called the restaurant and the lady that answered the phone told me that they never used jumbo shrimp in that dish. She said everyone else that orders it knows that. Beware i've missed leading advertisement. A couple of months ago I ordered fried dumplings, when I Took my first bite a bit into a staple. I've ordered online several times and it's always been good but today I ordered crab rangoons, General Tso's chicken, and Sesame chicken. Both chicken dishes taste bad and the chicken tastes like it's been cooked about 2-3 times longer than it should and is tough and crunchy. I love General Tso's chicken but this is almost inedible!! The crab rangoons look as if each one is half way over fried to a crisp, and other half are still raw!! They have no taste and hardly any crab in them. When I called to check the status of my delivery, they couldn't give me any specifics on the time he would arrive or location. They kept saying, "he'll be there soon." Ordered delivery from here for the first time last night. I wasn't sure what to expect after seeing mixed reviews. First, I'd like to address is the lack of customer service on the phone. The lady who picked up rook my order, my address, but never asked for payment or told me how long they'd be. I had to call back for that. Second, they forgot the drink I ordered. .. but the driver did apologize and give me cash. Third, the food was very good; however, the eggrolls were very greasy and everything was drenched in sauce. I won't say this is my first and last time bc my experience wasn't all bad. The best advice I'd give is to just try it.
