    Wor wonton

Ordered Shrimp chowmein which was good with just the right seasoning. The Wor wonton was ok, but the broth was a little too greasy and lacked seasoning. Restaurant is big and very clean. I would go to try some of the other dishes. Workers very nice

This use to be one of my go to chinese restaurants. Havent been in a looong time so figured I'd visit. The hubby & I went it was not crowded and we could hear the music playing from speakers. We ordered The Peking dinner which was $21.95 per person. The food was decent, won ton soup was excellent, service ok had to wait a while to get to go containers and check. Noticed the check already gad added for a bag of $.25 and automatically added a tip of 15%! but not in english!! Then had amounts for added tip. I asked the waitress what it was for and she hesitated with an answer. Then they give you your receipt which is not itemized and so I had to go back in and ask for an itemized receipt. Pls ask if I need a bag and tipping should be to MY DISCRETION and it was only 2 of us!

I'm sorry to only give this place two stars. The service is pleasant. The interior of the restaurant is clean and comfortable. The prices are reasonable. But honestly, the food is not that flavorful. I give them credit for good fried rice. This area needs a new Chinese food take out spot.

Came here today to enjoy lunch . Food was ok not the best and service was horrible .The lady who works there do not greet us and did not bring us water. You have to flag her down for everything. The end gets worse when the bill come out. The bottom of the bill in Chinese says 15% tip for what . I dont know why this was added only thing the did was just bring our food out my and took my order. She tells me it because of the holiday . There is no signs telling you if you dine inn a 15% tip would be added. Please AVOID THIS Place.. Zero star's.

The food was decent. The human beef wasn't what I was expecting, but it was still good. I would prefer spicier. The sweet and sour chicken was good, very tangy , but not much veggies. The fried rice and thin noodle chow mein were good. I would order these again.

Today I was craving some Peking duck so I decided to give this place a try. The service was nice and attentive but I couldn't help but notice that there was barely anyone in the restaurant on a late Saturday afternoon which seemed sort of odd. This place is close by where I live and I had ordered Peking duck here before and it was great. But unfortunately it wasn't up to par at all this time. The duck was dehydrated looking and very very greasy. Usually, an entire Peking duck should feed about five to six people. Thank God that it's just my boyfriend and I eating the one we bought today.

Overall, food is fine, but it's pricier than other spots in the area and the quality and flavor is worse. We got three items for take out - salt and pepper fish fillet, peking-style pork chops, and beef chow fun. Salt and pepper fish fillet - 2.5/5 - lacked flavor and breading was soft. Peking-style pork chop - 3/5 - flavor was fine but the texture (similar to the fish) fell flat. Portion was also lacking considering it cost $15+. Beef chow fun - 2/5 - flavor was so flat and there wasn't much beef. Just not enjoyable to eat...

Solid 3 stars. I have lived in San Lorenzo most my life and I have always seen this place but never went. I finally tried it a few weeks ago with my boyfriend and I was happily surprised it was good. We got the fried won tons, the crispy duck, lemon chicken and the bbq pork chow fun. The fried wontons were really just that. Slightly disappointed because I remember as a kid we had fried wontons with a filling and I have yet to find a restaurant that does it. Pretty pricey for fried wrappers though. The crispy duck with the steamed buns was amazing. I would be a happy camper with just ordering this. Duck was really tender and delicious. Lemon chicken was basic lemon chicken, nothing to write home about but still tasted good. Same with the chow fun, the bbq was really good. Moist and flavorful. Overall great food experience. Located in a business plaza. They have their own lot so parking is not an issue and the area is not too busy. Interior reminds me of out dated buffet style booths. Feels sort of eerie inside because there's no music playing to fill the room. Pricing is okay for sit down dining for Chinese food. If you're going to get basic staples you can get at fast food Chinese food places, then just go to those places instead. But good if you want their other selections. I did not expect good wait service so I was only semi bothered when it took forever to get our check. Definitely was wondering at a certain point if they were perhaps comping our bill (LOL). I wouldn't mind coming back.

Dropped by to dine in. We normally do takeout, and this was our first time dining in. We were seated fast, and they even seated us in a location with gad better AC as it was hot that day. The food tasted better dining than takeout. The food came out fast and was hot. Overall a gem in the area.

There's usually a pretty good line right by the register, so this place is pretty well known by the Asian locals. Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup ($16/2*) First outing here I sat for lunch and tried this. Surprisingly disappointing seeing how busy and popular this place is. The wontons were okay, decent flavor with a strong sesame oil presence. But they weren't that plump and luxurious, just seemed like homemade/amateur versions. Which is fine, except given the nicer restaurant feel, I just expected something more elevated. The noodles were fine, super thin egg noodles that had a nice QQ. BUT their broth was so bland and unremarkable that it kinda ruined the whole experience. I couldn't even taste/detect the protein that made up the stock, just tasted like murky liquid to me. And zero condiments on the table, so I just ate the wontons and the plain tasting noodles cuz the broth couldn't offer anything to the noodles. Womp womp. And their bowl of choice is very weird to eat from. Super tall bowl that if you leave a spoon in there it will sink and be submerged for you to fish out...in piping hot liquid. If I would have reviewed this place just on this one visit, then it surely would have been a sub 3* rating. But I knew I couldn't leave my impression with that one lone visit. Roast Duck - Half ($20/4*) Came back for some take-out deli items and I was handsomely rewarded. Total 180 experience from the soup outing. Their ducks here are slightly more expensive than most others for the area. But it is still worth it imo. They cut it with good skill and even for a take-out box they present it nicely, with the shape of duck still somewhat intact. The skin is not crisp at all but it is very well rendered. Some pieces were not that salty at all but some other pieces are well seasoned, which I thought was strange. But overall a very solid roast duck is to be found here. There's also a big scoop of these tiny beans that are slightly sweet almost like baked beans just not as gloopy. But the bean texture is very al dente, almost crunchy, which I found very strange. Macao Roast Pork w/ Rice ($19/4.5*) This is crazy good...I'll even say special. Super seasoned pork belly is roasted til the skin gets crisp...like chicharon status, except it is just a very thin layer of crispness. So the balance between the sturdy crunch and juicy flavorful meat was practically perfect. It is definitely on the salty side, almost the same intenseness as eating Spam with white rice, but white rice offsets those salty components beautifully. And they garnish this massive plate with perfectly blanched gai lan (Chinese Broccoli) and some other pickled greens that add a nice sweet and tangy component. So between the decadent pork, white rice and diverse greens offerings just made this a complete one stop shop that could make a regular out of me. There's also a Share Tea next door so I've got a harmonious tandem going on here. Lucky Ducky Me yassss!

The service is what you'd expect--typical Chinese efficiency, which is no-nonsense, LOL. No chitchat, just serve. Don't expect your food to come faster than the to-go line, FYI. They don't treat in-house customers as a priority. I'll go back to this place whenever I have a chance. Order ahead if you're in a rush--this is not a fast place. But you can always count on their quality.

My group and I stopped by recently for morning dim sum, and we were incredibly impressed by the changes. The Atmosphere & Vibes The modern, newly remodeled interior looks fantastic. The space feels much brighter, cleaner, and more upscale than before, making it a wonderful environment for everything from a casual family breakfast to a larger celebratory gathering. They've managed to create a contemporary look while keeping the welcoming energy alive. The Food: A Noticeable Step Up While the new decor is great, the real star of the show is the improved flavor and quality of the dim sum. You can tell they've refined their recipes and perhaps brought in some fresh culinary talent. Here were the standouts from our meal: Baked BBQ Pork Buns (Cha Siu Bao): Absolute perfection. The tops had that ideal, sweet, crumbly crust, and the pork filling was savory, rich, and not overly gelatinous. Shrimp Dumplings (Har Gow): A true test of any dim sum kitchen. The skins were perfectly translucent and delicate without tearing, packed with plump, snappy shrimp that tasted incredibly fresh. Siu Mai: Flavorful, juicy, and well-seasoned. The texture was spot-on--not dense or heavy. Egg Tarts (Dan Tat): The puff pastry was beautifully laminated and flaky, holding a perfectly smooth, warm, and subtly sweet egg custard. Service & Value Despite the upgraded ambiance and food quality, the service remains efficient and attentive. Teas were kept hot and refilled promptly, and the dishes arrived fresh and steaming from the kitchen.

Most of the party arrived before us so we were able to easily find our table. We were set next to the fish take, by the kitchen. It was a good arrangement. We had 2 tables with identical entrees. We ordered: Green Beans, Salt and pepper chicken wings, shrimp fried rice (Everyone's least favorite dish), Chow Fun, duck, and probably some other dishes. The green beans were the best dish. The chicken wings were good, but not as flavorful as people hoped, they probably won't be ordered again. The fired rice was a big disappointed, it had shrimp in it, but it lacked flavor. We didn't get a soup. We also had a steamed fish which was really good, coming from a not big fish fan. It was seasoned with soy sauce and was a big hit with the table. Even my picky nephew ate some. We also had calamari, it wasn't a big hit, we didn't even take it home with the leftovers. We all got tea and we asked for ice water for everyone which was drank along with the tea. If you request it they will bring out forks, my brother in law made the request. I was impressed even the kids used chopsticks. I definitely reccomend this restaurant. Especially for large groups. It's set up for banquets. I can't comment on the bathroom, because we didn't use it.

We thought the food was pretty good so we decided to come back for Father's Day. They serve the usual Cantonese favorites, but what makes this place special is that they specialize in Hoisan cuisine. The prices are reasonable, and while the restaurant itself is a little dated, I'm there for the food, not the decor. I'll be honest the service isn't the warmest, so don't come expecting a lot of attention. But the food is the reason people come here. We ordered several dishes, but the dish that really stood out to me was the steamed pork with salted fish. The first bite immediately brought me back to my childhood. Looking around the dining room and seeing so many Hoisan families eating there made me feel like I had been transported back to my mom's home village. We were placed at a table by the exit, and despite waiting about 20 minutes, no one came by until we flagged someone down. As the restaurant filled, every table seated after us was promptly attended to with full settings, tea, and quick order-taking. Meanwhile, we waited 30 minutes with no service. We had to wave someone down again just to place our order. By 7:15pm--60 minutes after arriving--we still had no plates, no bowls, and no food. When I went to the register to ask about our order, we were suddenly told it would be out "in a couple of minutes." The dishes finally arrived, minus one, and the food looked rushed and tasted bland. To top it off, when paying, they took my credit card and returned five minutes later claiming the machine "wasn't working" and asked for cash. While I don't make racial assumptions lightly, the contrast between how we were treated and how other guests were served was noticeable disappointing and discriminatory. Whatever the reason, the experience was unacceptable. We won't be returning.
