I ordered take out. Honey walnut prawns and chicken lo mein. The honey walnut prawns were good; nothing exceptional (I've definitely had better) but they were decent. The lo mein was bland and had barely any flavor. After covering it with salt and pepper It was better. I called around 815 (they close at 9) so perhaps they were eager to leave and that's why the lady at the front seemed abrasive. The woman in front of me was placing an order to go and the front desk woman was extremely rude to her. She kept saying "15 minutes okay!! No later!!" The customer replied with the same answer each time "yes, 15 minutes. I'm running to the bank and will be right back". When she helped me she wouldn't even make eye contact, it was an awkward transaction. Maybe she was having a bad day. She just picked the bag up and yelled "to go right! Only to go". I said yes, and told her what I ordered. She was frazzled and abrasive the entire time. Meanwhile the gentlemen in back were calm; they looked slightly bored. Very very disappointed. We ordered takeout. We got orange beef, house fried rice, happy family, garlic chicken. Everything except the beef tasted the same, brown with no flavor. Ugh ! The fried rice was mushy. No one was eating in, and there was one other person ordering take out. I doubt we'll try them again. read more

Was on a business trip to WA and one of my friends took me to eat at Peking Garden, the food and the service was excellent. My friend knows I like Chinese food and told me this place was under new ownership and that the food was really good. The owners were polite and tentative I don't usually eat out, unless its a place I know in my area but I highly recommend Peking Garden if your looking for good Chinese food. read more

I come here often for great Chinese food. They also have a few other non-Chinese options on the menu like Thai curry chicken which is nice too. The staff is always really polite and friendly and their service is fast! They are a great place to stop for a quick, fairly priced delicious meal, especially if you're tight on time. read more

I've only ever had take out from this place so I don't have much to say about their customer service or dine-in experience, but their serving sizes were awesome! Food was very flavorful and and I loved their sweet and sour chicken. My husband had ordered some type of pork meal and the meat was a little rubbery and didn't taste very good so I wasn't too impressed. I ordered almond chicken... They gave me Tyson chicken patty cut into four pieces with a bowl of bland gravy on the side,. Asked them why there was no Almonds, they said they were out.. she said, "you like it that way".. Then she got mad because I wouldn't eat it.. We looked at the menu online and their prices were pretty cheap so we decided to give this place a try. We ordered it for take out expecting to pay around $25 but when my husband picked it up it was $43! Ok so we drive back home, 32 miles round trip, and I expected to have some good food for the price. Well that's what I get for thinking. The pork fried rice was ok, the chicken chow mein was mostly noodles, a few scary looking pieces of chicken (it was really wiggly) and it was very bland. The General Tso chicken was really good but the almond chicken, which is my favorite dish, was nothing like I've ever eaten before. It was like a breaded chicken patty with 6 almond pieces and some kind of really bland gravy, if you want to call it that. We really wanted to like this place because in the year we have lived in this area we have yet to find a good Chinese restaurant except for one in Kingston. I can't drive 70 miles one way just for good Chinese food but after this experience it might be worth the trip. I'm giving this 2 stars because the General Tso chicken was really good! read more

Ordered take out. Not impressed with the food. I ordered cream cheese wonton, big disappointment. Asked for duck sauce and was told they only have sweet and sour. I also ordered seafood chow mein. when I opened my container, I was shocked.. I saw 3 shrimp, 2 or 3 small pieces of calamari, and maybe tiny scallops, rest was 95% noodles with a few cabbage, onion, and carrots. Not worth the $10 I paid for. I'm generous of giving this restaurant 2 stars is because a co-worker also ordered a beef noodle soup and she said it was ok but not something she'll go out of her way to get. read more

Went in for the first time today.. everything went smooth until I ordered my food. I ordered the almond chicken.. notice I said ALMOND. They brought out a plate of cut up breaded chicken, and one half piece of an almond. I was expecting pieces of grilled chicken, topped with almonds and veggies. Not worth 10.95. At the end, I got a to go plate, not going to waste my money. I didn't leave a tip, and when the waitress noticed it on the receipt, she started talking in her language to her friend in an upset tone. And they both looked at me as if they were pissed. I found this restaurant through a friend a couple of years ago, and I was simply amazed. I have tried just about the entire menu but I always find myself drifting back to the honey walnut Prawns and The general Tao's chicken. The prawns are probably the best I have ever Had. Lightly sauced with a great flavor. The generals is nice and crisply breaded not soggy like you usually find. A hint of spice(wich I usually ask for 4star. Do your tummy a favor and get the honey walnut prawn and/or the Mongolian beef! I come here for lunch with friends pretty regularly and we always walk out with a smile! Since its lunch time I order off the lunch menu which is a cup of egg flower or hot and sour soup, any of the many entrees they have (sweet sour pork/chicken, Mongolian beef, Szechuan chicken etc etc etc) and steamed or fried rice. For the price I leave Very Full and completely satisfied :) I feel no need to pay for a drink since they offer a pot of tea and water for free. The place is great for having a chat with your lunch buddy since its pretty small and not too busy before noon. I again want to recommend the honey walnut prawn! It's. Just. So. Gooood. read more

First time I've eaten here and it WILL be my last. I ordered the Almond Chicken Lunch special and could not believe anyone in their right mind would let food of this quality leave their establishment. Almond Chicken generally comes with a gravy that has flavor, mine came with gray Almond Water. The Chicken was sliced/pounded extremely thin, almost crepe like. The rice was something that was cooked last week or month. And to top it off the fortune's in the fortune cookie were written by idiots as well. This place compelled me to write my first review. Long story short, took family here for dinner. Upon entering, the cold, unpersonable woman looked at us with a blank face and pointed at the table she wanted us to sit at and grunted something unitelligable (PRO TIP for said woman: "Hello" or "Welcome" with a smile thrown in would be have been more inviting). Should have went with my gut instinct and walked right out when we noticed only 2 sketchy dudes eating by themselves during prime dinner time hours. Anyway, place was relatively clean. The lifeless wet rag took our order without saying much. It seemed like customers ordering food was an inconvience to her. I bit my tongue and settled on the Mongolian Beef with pork fried rice. Wife got Sweet and Sour Chicken with pork fried rice. Entrees came out fairly quickly. The portions would have been great if I was a toddler. Food was so bland I couldn't believe they were charging around $14.00 per meal. Anyway, save your money and eat the cardboard from the cardboard recycling bin behind Fred Meyer that Hank sleeps in from time to time. It will taste better. read more
