Pekoe used to be good but now I just feel insanely grimy after a few sips because it is so sweet. Also what's with the inconsistency? Because at times I do order half sweet and it feels like no sugar was added and other times it tastes like a cup full of syrup so I am torn between ordering full or half sweet. I get my pretty in pink and manly melons. Half of the time they run out of boba (that's ok bc I come close to closing sometimes but it happens pretty often - wow at my bad timing i guess). ALSO I ordered my manly melons w/ no aloe sub lychee instead. They forgot the lychee (bc it didn't say on the cup) but the drink is supposed to come w/ crystal boba still... they forgot that too. Was going to 711 but seen that pekoe was now open so looked at their menu and got the pretty in pink which has boba and strawberry hearts and jolly rancher which has green apple jellies..it's pretty good with a little sour to it. Got those in a split cup. Decent prices and nice customer service from the girl working there. The vibe inside is pretty chill compared to their other location. The drinks were good and different from other places I had. I like this place because it has many choices compared to 7 leaves across the street and toco toco. I got a free pop socket and a free stamp card that was all stamped up !! Maybe it's just because they probably just opened! Overall, would come again to try all the other flavors they have. Rating - 5 Stars Honestly have not been to Pekoe in YEARS, but it was definitely one of my favorite boba spots when they first opened up. It wasn't even for the aesthetics either, like the drink themselves were actually good. Good tea strength, good balance of creaminess and sweetness, good chew to the pearls, and basically good flavor overall. Flash forward to the present where they now have a location closer to me, I tried their Pretty in Pink (50% sweetness and ice) since I was in the mood for a fruit milk tea, and seems like everything was as good as I remember. It was just the right amount of sweetness and strawberry flavor without tasting syrupy or artificial, and just the right amount of creaminess without tasting heavy or dominating the fruit flavor. Pearls were perfectly chewy and the strawberry jellies were a nice compliment to the drink, providing an additional source of texture and strawberry flavor. Can't comment on tea strength since fruit milk teas are more about the fruitiness and creaminess, but I would love to retry their non-flavored milk teas (like my old go-to, Let's Get High) since it seems like quality hasn't decreased. I also love the fact that their milk teas use a vegan cream so lactose-intolerant people like myself can rejoice and enjoy! It might seem pricey, but it is a deceptively large portion and completely worth it. Also, one of my favorite things about Pekoe is that they offer split cups ($1 more), so don't forget to ask about it if you're indecisive between two flavors since I didn't see it advertised anywhere and completely forgot about it during the time I ordered. read more

She tossed the drink at me for one. I also wasn't the biggest fan of my drink so I asked if I could possibly replace it with another and just pay. First time coming to this location on Lundy! Ofc I had to get a split cup. I got one of my faves Manly Melons (Jasmine green tea with mango, lychee, strawberry, and watermelon. Comes with agar (crystal pearls) and aloe Vera). Also tried their popular milk tea, Pink Lady (strawberry milk tea with heart jelly and boba). Would rate these (5/5) Did both at 50% sweet which is just right for me -- it's on the sweeter side for 50% btw. Love how flavorful these teas are! Not watered down at all. Both drinks strike a nice balance between fruit flavor and tea and I'm glad they come with toppings. Overall, it's always a unique tea drink experience at Pekoe at a pretty decent price ($5.50 for a regular drink, $6.50 for split cup). I actually prefer the aesthetic of this because it looks a lot more bright, happy and clean. In addition, this location still has the same menu and drinks. One downside is that their chairs are super hard to sit on (and offer no back support). My favorite drink is still the Pretty in Pink because of the sweet strawberry flavour and cute heart shaped jellies. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here because it's a lot further than the other location, but the drinks do taste a lot better when there are not a bunch of high schoolers loitering around. read more

Is it worth it though? Ehhhh, not worth it but I honestly can say it doesn't hurt to try. I had White Winter and Thai Me Up here. Light ice, 0 sweetness is my motto, even then, the drink was pretty decently sweet (I like a little teaser now and then). The interior is beautiful. They've got dim purply lights that reflect off the white floors and marble looking tables. I wouldn't consider this place to be a hang out place per se but more of a grab and go because of it's small interior. Pekoe is one of my favorite boba spots here in the South Bay! They have so many great options (with or without milk and now also coffee!) and it seems like they are always coming up with new flavors. They have two locations, one in South White Rode which is the first location, and the second one here in Lundy Avenue. For some drinks, I feel like the South White Rode makes it better than in this location, but it's no big deal to me. Here are my ratings based on the drinks that I have tried: 1. Pekoe Special (5/5) If you want something with milk, this is the one for you! It comes with Grass Jelly and honey black pearls, but I don't really like grass jelly so I get it without it 2. Foxy Brown (5/5) similar to #1 but darker taste since it's black Assam milk tea 6. Just Dew It (5/5) If you're filipino, this is the drink for YOU! It reminds me of ice candy or that drink that we have at family parties-- IYKYK! 9. Manly Melons (5/5) One of my go to drinks here! I like how it has flavors of mango, lychee, strawberry and watermelon-- all my fave fruits. My favorites are the Pekoe Special and the Pretty in Pink. The Pekoe Special is always delightfully creamy and goes perfectly with their sweet boba and silky grass jelly. The Pretty in Pink is a bit sharper in flavor, with strawberry flavor in the tea and in the sweet strawberry jellies that accompany their boba.
