I took my new 2017 Honda Accord they did the ugliest job ever my car sure did looked salvage swirls all over and I mean all over when my hit was just my back bumper I picked up on due date and had to bring it back 3 days later because there was no dam clear coat on it and over spray all over ! They had my car over a month for a rear end collision. Date to get my car back was 9/6 and it ended up getting pushed back to 9/19 Insurance had stopped paying for my rental a few days prior Penske kept telling me that they were ordering parts and the parts kept coming in damaged, so they had to reorder. I did mention this to the car rental place. They said that they tell that to everyone. I have used Penske twice to fix my Honda Accord that had been hit in 2 separate accidents. This first accident happened in November and the team got my car fixed and returned to me within a month. I could not believe how great of a job they did. It looked like new! I was hoping I wouldn't have to see them for a while, but 3 months after my previous accident, i got hit again and told my insurance company I wanted to take it back to Penske. This second time around, Luis helped me and took care of me from start to finish. This second accident was fairly minor and only took a week to fix. Luis sent me daily updates by email on the progress of my car and called me when it was ready. Once again, my car looked like new. My experience was not that great. I utilized the services of Penske collision center in downey by way of Honda World Downey service center(I highly DO NOT recommend them either!!) my car was side swiped and I needed body work. They were to remove and repair most of the panels as well as re-paint. Lupe was supposed to be the one assisting me (keeping me updated and informed on any pending body work, painting, payment due pending) during this process. Although the insurance of the other party was not that pleasant to deal with as well the were more on top of their duties than Penske. Lupe was horrible at communicating. Would go days without responding to my voice and text messages. When she would text back it was very short and not that informative. I was constantly calling asking for Lupe's supervisors to call me back and they would not. I was give three different finish dates which were all changed. Lupe can definitely NOT multitask!! She was supposed to coma t me with in 15 minutes of the paperwork being finished (on august 30th 2019) and decided that helping another customer KNOWING I've been waiting weeks and calling for the past week concerned about my vehicle and wanting to pick it up all the times they told me it would have been ready... then on Saturday (8/31/19) I called to make sure my car was ready and they told me that payment was still pending from the insurance company!!!!!The entire time my car was there Lupe failed time and time again to mention this to me. I asked for a manager and the girls response was "There's no managers on the weekends." I was supposed to pick up the car Friday (MY BIRTHDAY AND THE DAY I WAS PROMISED) and I have to wait the rest of the weekend without having a car because of Lupe and her manager's negligence??!!! I was so upset. Monday came and I spoke with Ashley(manager) she was able to confirm payment to be made by insurance and allowed my car to be released. I thanked her and expressed my major concerns with the company and Lupe's customer service.My car was there for almost a month and the work was beyond horrible. They made my 2018 Honda Civic look disgusting. Compound on my interior(seats, seatbelt proctors, center console) dusty foot marks on the passenger floor mat, finger prints on center console) there were buffing swirls and scratches from the tail light of the drivers side to the front bumper, they installed an old molding with deep grooves on the rubber molding( knowing the car is brand new and didn't come in looking like that), white residue on the drivers side hood of the car. I was furious. I spoke with Donna Potter, the supervisor. She told me to come down she'll put me in a rental and they will make it right by fixing all of my concerns. I was hesitant because you've had my car for almost a month, it should have been done right then. But I went down. My car was there for another week(give or take a few days and I came a day later than what o said) and when I get there the interior is still very dirty(smelled heavily like that cherry sent from car washes) white compost on the seat of passenger side as well as seatbelt protector, fingerprints on center console, white spots on the rear passenger bumper, dust on the entire vehicle, a lot of tire shine, AND THE TRIANGLE REAR PASSENGER WINDOW WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY!!!! So now Donna said she's will give their window guy my personal number and have him come to me!!!!???!!!! but the swirl marks and white residue were gone. SSO for a total of a month(give or take a few days) and as a supervisor of a body shop.... you couldn't go look inside the vehicle to make sure it was detailed to perfection? You couldn't make them wash the outside an hour prior to me coming to ensure all compound and dust residue were eliminated! YOU COULD'T go out after the window was installed and ensure it was installed correctly??!! No wonder your staff is horrible at customer service !!!! Horrible experience! read more

Penske has had my vehicle since March 10th, that's more than 30 days, and still not repaired. I chose the facility based on my favorable experience with the dealer maintenance side of their business. However, I am sorely disappointed in the time it has taken to get the vehicle road worthy. Worst experience ever with the staff! I had to walk into the center to speak with David Franco and still, he didn't come out after multiple times trying to reach him over the phone and no call was returned. It is ridiculous that we had to take time off work to go to the office just for a receptionist to go back to David Franco and him to say we need to make an appointment with him. This is the third time I have brought my car to this location since it is Toyota, My car was fixed after the collision and I'm having issues with the alignment again For this guy to avoid my calls and not acknowledge the fact that we went in because hewouldn't take a call it is so unprofessional! Horrible service! Very disappointed with the body work they have done on my truck. At the beginning Lupe told me that the repair was going to take a couple of weeks it's been 5 weeks almost 6 and my truck still not ready. They call me Yesterday to pick up my truck and when I look at it, the bed is uneven. ( I noticed it right away and I'm not body professional) So they ask me to leave it a couple of hours,I waited one more day and the bed still in the same position!! on top of that they wanted me to pay $571.71 with out notice!! They also do a nice job with insurance companies and make the process seamless. ***Do not go here! Stay away from here! Worst repair shop out there!*** I took my vehicle about a month and a half ago, and my vehicle is still not done. They estimated my vehicle to be completed a while ago, and they keep pushing the date back. From the front desk individuals to the estimator Lupe, none of them know what they are doing least know the status of the vehicle. They told me that the car was going to be ready, and they claim to scratching the part which was going into the vehicle. Then, they claim that the part is wrong, so they have to reorder the part. Following that claim, they say that the paint is wrong. Everyday they claim the vehicle is in the "body department" or "paint department." It seems like this place runs with these excuses with everyone, and they have a list of them to use to fool customers. The customer service is contemptible! I call them expressing my dissatisfaction, and they block my calls. The individuals in the front desk block your calls if you tell them any criticism or demonstrate frustration because they rather not deal with you. The service over all was good , I did go though some hiccups like for example showing up at 7:30 because thats the time the say they open on the door to be told that it wasn't until around 8 that the office staff arrived . I did have to go back for further repairs when my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree , they sent my car to Cerritos Nissan where the tech tried to put the over $1,000 repair on me , that it had nothing to do with the accident and if it wasn't for the fact that I know how to defend myself , i would have been duped and I must say that the fight came from me and not the Penske Rep , a better taste would have been left in my mouth if I would not have had the need to be at the forefront of defending myself . I'm very disappointed in the way Penske Collision Center has handled my vehicle repair. It's been over 1 month and 3 weeks and I have still not received my vehicle. Every week it has gotten pushed back since the initial 2-3 week estimate that they gave me. To top it off, today I received a text message from them stating that my vehicle was ready for pick up. To make sure if it was ready, I called them and told them that I received a text message from them saying it was ready and they said yes. I came down and guess what.. it's not ready! They said there was a miscommunication because the billing was already sent to my insurance by the guy who was overseeing my vehicle repairs (Luis). When I made my last phone call to ask about the return date for my vehicle, they read off some notes to me and they told me that the vehicle had stopped being worked on, because the guy who was doing the repairs on my truck went on vacation. So they had to get someone else. The guy who I spoke to (Frank) was now the one in charge of overseeing my vehicle because, he said Luis had too many cases/files. I will be letting Mercury Insurance know about the headache it has caused. I hope this review provides some insight on my experience here. I called 9 times to speak with Frank or other associates to get an update on my vehicle to no avail. Not one call was returned. Not one update was given despite my car not being ready 8 days after my quoted completion date. I really wouldn't have minded the wait had I been given an update like they promised. It's extremely frustrating to call for an update and be given the run around for over one week. The people who worked on my car did a good job, but the lack of customer service here really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. read more

So I like to think of myself as a good driver, but other people like to ram theirs cars into mine creating ugly blemishes on my car! Except this time....I ran into an unsuspecting pole in a parking garage putting a couple of nice scratches and scrapes on my rear bumper!!! I will never forget the sound of my car scraping against the concrete pole (sad face). Anyway, someone recommended I go to the Penske collision center to get an estimate since its close to my work. Not only did Robert give me an estimate, but he gave me an awesome price and told me he could have it fixed in one day! By the way, he had me at hello since he has the nicest smile ever and he didn't make one joke about my bad drivingI I ended up leaving my car there the same morning and they gave me a rental car for the day. The ladies in the office were super nice and funny and made sure the rental they gave me was clean and gassed up. I really just have to say the customer service is impeccable!! They were just on top of everything and really made me feel like they were working WITH me and not nickel and diming me for every little everything. My little Mr2 Spyder had been sad for some time but I didn't have the time or the extra cash sitting around for my deductible. I went here because Mercury Insurance highly recommended them and said I had a lifetime warranty as long as I owned the vehicle. I've had a bad experience in the past where I went out of insurance and paid someone cheap to fix. My mistake. My car ended up with overspray and a bad paint job if you look close enough.
