I had a huge breakfast delivered by Roy from "Postmates" from Peoria Cafe. I added a cinnamon roll about 6" in diameter. I shared the roll with the housekeepers at Motel6. The container with eggs, hash browns and bacon is at least 8" square. Half was hash browns cooked just right. Two eggs and 4 strips of bacon plus toast. I ate about half. Thank God this room has a fridge and microwave. Peoria Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch. I have had a burger and fries there in the past. Friendly staff, great food. My husband and I eat here often. We love the open kitchen. It's so awesome to sit and watch and appreciate just how hard those Cooks work to make sure everything is better than satisfactory. The food is wonderful. I've never had a bad experience there. Most of the servers are great and serve with a smile. Anne is our favorite server, because she's so humble and friendly. This is your pretty typical greasy spoon place. It's usually pretty busy in the mornings (the only time I've been), but the service is fast. They have been here for a long time and seem to have a steady stream of regulars that come in. The food is pretty standard breakfast foods, but always a good quick stop for a breakfast bite. They always have plenty of breakfast specials to choose from, and everything else to chose from is very reasonable. Oh my... I have found everything I have been looking for in a breakfast spot. If you've watched parks and Rec you know how notorious JJ's dinner is for having the best bacon and eggs according to Ron Swanson... well he needs to try here then. Additionally the biscuits were flakey and fresh paired with the most perfect gravy, and the French toast was so thick and fluffy (yet not to sweet). I want people to know of our experience with Peoria Cafe my friends and I have been going each Tuesday for 6 weeks all was good until the last week in March 2019. They explained that a server went home unexpectedly and they said they were sorry for the poor service. We were understanding of the situation and returned the following Tuesday for our usual luncheon. We were extremely very unsatisfied with the service and our tip reflected that. Also the restaurant was not very crowded. I called the restaurant the following day and the lady who I believed to be the manager was very polite and understanding of our poor service. However I was told the owner or manager I am not sure which it is would have to review their audio and video tapes of our luncheon before making any decisions about the situation. I was so creeped out about the fact that our personal space had been audio and video taped without our knowledge. There must be a law against such behavior I believe as I understand when I am on the phone I am always informed that the conversation will be recorded. Ok after the owner/manager reviewed all of their tapes they felt we should not have had a problem with the service. This was so unacceptable as our order was not correct and I ask my friend if she wanted to return the item, however, she said no it was ok. I personally will never return to this restaurant again as it is unacceptable to me that they are recording our video and audio conversations. Also the waitress did not give us good service and this was the 2nd week in a row that we had poor service. So if you choose to go to this establishment please know you are being recorded your every word and video taped as well. They told me that we arrived at 11:03 and left at 11:59. Plus other verbiage of our conversation. The food they serve is good but not worth the bad service and the fact that they are so invasive of your privacy for me this is so unacceptable. It is always your choice. However, we have the opportunity of eating lunch at so many other wonderful places why would anyone put themselves in this position. The breakfast is great and the service is fast. You have your designated waitress/waiter but there's undeniably a team approach when serving customers. I've lived in Peoria for 6 years, I'm never eating at this Dive restaurant ever again, the last time was 2 years ago. I'm was hoping thier food would have improved. I told this restaurant my blan chorizo plate was the worst ever, thier home fries were these square chunks of undercooked potatoes. My Friday Night Fish Fry to go place. The fish is beer battered and cooked right with huge servings. I opt for the fries which were nice and crisp bt a touch of salt after frying would bring out some flavor. The cole slaw lacks any flavor and is cabbage swimming in tasteless mayo, not very appetizing but the fish is the star and keeps me coming back almost every Friday. As busy as this place is the teamwork of the servers makes everyone feel at home and are very efficient. I highly recommend the Friday Night Fish Fry, just pass on the Cole Slaw. read more

The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. We originally tried the place for their fish fry....it is the best I have had in a long time. Big pieces and lots of it. We then tried the breakfast, again amazing. The work omlette has so much stuff in it the you forget your eating eggs, the biscuits and gravy are just like my grandfather used to make. I would not recommend eating at the Peoria Cafe. I ordered two pancakes and bacon for my breakfast. The bacon was nice and crispy like I ordered, however the pancakes were tasteless. When I poured the syrup onto my plate from the container sitting on the table, to my surprise a large fly came out in the syrup! Disgusting! The rest of my friends refused to eat after seeing this. The waitress took the plate and the syrup from the table and apologized. We all left and will not be returning to the Peoria Cafe. The back door was open and there were also bugs flying around. Went in for the Friday night fish fry. This is your typically Midwestern style fish fry. Service was very friendly & fast. Had ordered the cup of clam chowder to start off with but it seemed to be a bowl size although on the bill it was deemed cup size. Chowder didn't have much flavor to it at all. Just thick, white & creamy with a few pieces of clams. Not impressed have had much better. Before I could even complete eating my bowl of chowder my Friday night fish fry single serve ($7.99) arrived. It had 4 large pieces of fish with french fries (could have ordered baked potato or mashed) with a side of cole slaw & a roll. Fish was very fresh tasting & the batter was not greasy at all but the batter lacked flavor. Points for batter not being greasy as most places have greasy batter fried fish. Cole slaw lacked flavor as well. Seemed that it was just thinned out mayonnaise with cabbage. Tarter sauce could have used some thinning out as it was just mayonnaise with relish in it. Fries were soggy & cold & lacked salt. Salt wouldn't stick to them since they were cold. Didn't try the rolls since I already had enough starch on my plate they were soft though when I did touch one. Although this review seems rather negative I am giving Peoria Cafe 3 stars based on service & the fact that the fish tasted extremely fresh, was not greasy & such a large portion. THe batter just needed a bit of seasoning & since I wenmt there primarily for the fish I think I would go back for the fish again but next time I would get a baked potato. read more

If you answered "no" to that question, then I invite you to experience the Peoria Cafe. It's the next best thing, right here in Arizona! What you will get is reasonable prices, friendly service, and a good, old-fashioned Friday night fish fry. The downside is that they only serve until 8 (?!?!) and I don't think they serve alcohol; everyone knows that a truly awesome fish fry is complimented by a brandy old-fashioned and/or a microbrew. I would give a few points for their delicious home-made ranch dressing. My advice: pre-drink and head over to the Peoria cafe for a great fried fish dinner! read more
