There were two guys working and they were extremely nice. The guy that took my friend's and my order was polite, and our food was finished quickly. We also got ice cream which was reasonably priced, and they give you HUGE scoops. Yay!! First of all, the food in this restaurant is amaaaaaaazing. Hands down, best burgers and fries i've ever had. The food is great, everything is great except for the service. There are two dudes working, one of them was wearing the seahawks shirt, he was great and polite but the other guy was rude.. apparently, their door should be closed at all time because of their heater inside, I forgot to close it and he went straight to the door and slammed it hard! looking extremely rude and frustrated. My 15 year old son went to Pepperdock with his friends and ordered chicken strips. They gave him deep fried fish instead. The guy tried to correct the order but the Asian lady came out and said the fish was already made and he had to take it. Chicken strips would be $8 but Fried fish was $20. Even though they made an error, they charged my son $20. He didn't eat the fish at all. I ate some fish and it irritated my stomach right away. Sounded like the Asian lady was bullying my son. That's not good at all. My son is not going back there. read more

Pepperdock is not a high scale restaurant. Heck, it's not a high scale burger joint. It is, however, one of the most charming beachside restaurants on Alki. The outside is dilapidated but quaint. The onion rings are greasy but delicious, their milkshakes are thick and scrumptious, and their french fries are the best I've ever had in my entire life. The inside is small and crowded. During the summer, most people would not be brave enough to venture inside to place an order. However, even if the wait is a little longer than usual, it is always worth it. Not to mention, there are always newspapers by the condiments when you need something to pass the time waiting for you order. All in all, I'd say that Pepperdock is my favorite place to eat on the waterfront. The ice cream is good, the fries are fresh, and the setting holds far more character than a chain fast food joint. If you're looking for a good burger and better fries, come down to Pepperdock. read more

It's a hole in a wall, with excellent food. Everything is fresh, and prepared well. Tried their spring rolls today, and was very impressed! My 'usual' is the king burger basket - deluxe burger with fries, and they toss on 3 onion rings just for a yummy treat. The onion rings are awesome. The onion part is paper thin so you don't get a fat slimy onion hanging out, they are covered with panko(?) or something like that, making them light and yummy. One of my favorite parts - they have coke on tap, but they also have Pepsi products in cans if you're not a coke fan. Give it a try! read more

I used to come here in my teens when the food and especially the milkshakes were great. I don't know what happended though the years, but the milkshakes are terrible. I gave them another chance this summer after the first terrible shake, but it was consistently terrible. For a little family owned place on the beach, it doesn't get any better than this. I used to work at Pepperdock when I was in high school. The owner, Gary was a hard working, laid back guy. He had few rules, but one I remember was that we could eat anything and everything we wanted while we were working, (he encouraged us to eat, so we knew what we were serving), but if we handed out free food to our friends....FIRED. Donald Trump couldn't have made it more clear. Anna worked in his other restaurant, and through hard work and saving, she bought the place. I hope she's still the owner. Though I no longer live in Seattle, everytime I get back, Pepperdock is one of the first places I visit. There has been some remodeling for the better, but those window tables are still just the BEST. (so are the outside tables). For the price, you can't get a better deal than the burger with everything, fries and onion rings. YUMMY. The last time I was there, I took my grandson. He ordered the foot long hot dog with everything. I knew he couldn't eat it all....but he liked it so much he almost finished it. Go! Get a burger or just about anything, since it's all made FRESH. Wander, run, jog on the beach, play frisbee, wade in the water, then GO BACK, and get a shake or Ice Cream Cone. I've only been back a few times in the last 6 years, but unlike others, I've always found it clean. The bathrooms were fairly clean too. There was a puddle in the men's bathroom, but I think my grandson made that, lol. (sorry). Yes, I went in after him when he was taking too long. I'm planning a trip to Seattle within the next month, so Pepperdock, here I come. I can't wait read more

I have been coming to Pepperdock since I was a kid! This is a small family owned restaurant located on Alki. There is limited seating inside so I usually order to-go. The workers are very friendly and the prices are reasonable. It gets extremely busy on a nice, sunny day as everyone piles in for ice cream. They give generous portions so if you get a scoop or two in a cone, make sure to ask for a cup on the side and some napkins! My favorite flavors are Maui Waui and Huckleberry. Their food menu consists of the usual burgers, sandwiches, fries, etc. Their fried mushrooms are really good too! An Alki staple for sure. read more

This is my favorite place for a burger in Seattle. Brings me back to the original American classic burger that my grand parents got to enjoy in their day. Alice and her husband are so sweet and really take special care to every detail around the burgers. And it shows. And you can't beat the incredible view of Eliot bay on Alki Beach. This place used to have great burgers a few years ago. Tried one today and it was just blahhh nothing special. Just an average burger you could get at home. The ice cream is always on point though, especially the rainbow sherbet. It's convenient for just grabbing a quick meal or ice cream and walking right across the street to the beach. I went there yesterday after a run across Alki, all I can say is they have the best water hands down. It felt like I was being quenched by a mountain spring. The water was so crisp and cold that it did not need ice. I can honestly say I will be going back. read more

We were looking for some place to have lunch besides all the usual West Seattle suspects. I remembered reading about Pepperdock on Yelp and we decided to try it. I was a little worried when we went in. It seems like a scary place to eat from the rundown outside and the western style wood tables and chairs inside, but actually I was pleasantly surprised. The menu has odd additions like side orders of egg rolls, but we had the burgers and they were quite good. The burgers are charbroiled just like the sign says out front. They cook them right there behind the register. The buns were toasted and hot as well. Burgers came with cheese, tomato, pickle. lettuce and mayo and fries for like $6. Quite a deal these days. The king burger also comes with three onion rings, which were crunchy and not greasy at all. I would definitely come to Pepperdock again. Burgers are thin more like a Kidd Valley burger, but much more charbroiled flavor. I do wish they would make this place a little more appealing, but maybe that is what is keeping it flying under the radar?! read more

The burgers here are pretty standard stuff. I ordered the "King" burger and was a bit surprised when the burger was of average size with a very thin patty, probably one of the thinner 'factory" patties I've seen on a burger. The veggies, cheese, and bacon were decent and are what contributed to most of the flavor of the burger. The beef patty seemed to only occupy space. Ultimately, I left wanting more from the burger. I probably won't be back. Location-wise, it's a great place to eat being near the beach scene. The interior has a certain charm, though, it might repel those of you that like a bright super-clean interiors. read more

yesterday we went here for some ice creme. the day before we went here for some burgers. the burgers were great, and it has a nice beach side feel. it even has a bike rack in front! i have been here maybe four times now, but this was the first time i tried the burgers, which come with lettuce and tomato and are a reasonable price. you get to add your own ketchup and mustard, and even extra mayo if you want! i got extra pickles..oh, and both times we went there this weekend, Ben got a MALT. they take a little bit, but they ARE malts. sit in front if you like to laugh at little kids doing the "Ice Cream dance" in front of the case. read more

Good place to eat! This hole-in-the-wall reminded me of a steady beach joint. Pepperdock is strategically located on Alki Avenue which strings along beautiful Alki Beach. They even had nifty 80s music that nostalgically reminded me how old I am! The special of the day was a salmon burger. I wasn't in the mood for anything greasy or fatty, and although I thought the salmon burger might only be slightly less fatty than a burger, I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge portion (7 or 8 oz?) of terriyaki salmon nestled on a warmly toasted hamburger bun. Although it was the most expensive item on their menu at $8.99 - I thought this was a pretty good deal with the combo of french fries. read more

i have known about pepperdock since i was a kid...maybe differnt owners.....but same great food. their bacon king burger beckons me back time and time again. i love the home style french fries....and they give three onion rings with your order!!! now that's a great combo. ice cream is very good.....and it's one of the only places that i know of that has corn dogs on the menu. \Pepperdocks has good burgers. its consistent. not sloppy and mealy like McDs when u are at the beach and starving, this is the place to go and order a King Burger with Cheese and fries with a strong cup of coffee or an effervesent coca cola for about $6 They also have Tillamook ice cream here, and their root beer float is mmmm good. They have big tables and if its not too busy, you can bring your craft project and do it while you stuff your face. This building is ancient, the restrooms are cold, the floor may have dirt stains on it but the toilets are clean and smell free. hey its way cleaner than the place by the water taxi. The owners are hard working people who care about their customers. Its basic fare, it might be greasy at times but it sure beats J-in-Bx, McD's, Bgger K, its too bad they dont have grilled korean beef on a stick witha side of rice. oh, yeah, ask for tartar sauce instead of using the mayo, that's- been sitting out on the counter all day. read more
