A desti action report, Peppermill Resort Reno has many things to offer. Our room was on the 14th floor with a nice view. Anthony checked us in, very professionally. The room was clean and accommodating with basic amenities. We used their Tuscana Spa for pedicure and massage services and lovednit. Last night we ate at Chi, their Asian fare diningroom and loved it, too. There isca Walgreens about 2 blocks to the right side of the resort, and I found it very convenient. We had coffee at their coffee shop this morning, wishing they had a Starbucks. But their coffee was very good. We watched the Marocco vs Canada game in the lobby and had a margaritas and a Cranberry Juice. The bartender was super friendly. Our children will join us tomorrow. But we like everything so far. Not fancy like Vegas, but personslized.

The Peppermill Resort, Spa, and Casino all got my hopes up. We booked our honeymoon here because when advertised, it seems like an appealing place to stay. They even have additional requests section on their booking page where I requested extra things like towels. We did not receive any of those requests. Room: King, Tuscany Suite with a balcony. The room was really nothing special, as time went on we began to notice more small concerns. The first was that the ottoman at the end of our bed was stained which felt off putting. Much of the furniture and room decor was dusty. It seemed like the whole room just needed a deep clean and detail because it appeared well used. The "balcony" was just a patio space with really well loved furniture. It was also funny because our view was the worker entrance/exit so we really one saw people coming to and leaving work. Casino: This was by far the worst casino I have been too. The machines had very low RTP and rarely gave bonus games. It wasn't very well kept, drink glasses would pile up and sit. The staff seemed off putting and not very helpful. The bonuses offered weren't all that great either. Pool: The pool was decent but could use better planning. My hope would be that one of the pool decks becomes a 21+ space. Adults on vacation at a "luxury" hotel don't want to swim with kids. The hot tubs were even occupied by kids which made it unenjoyable and hard to relax. Spa: We didn't even bother with the spa because I called them prior to our stay and got sent to voicemail. I left a voicemail hoping for a call back but never received one. Overall, not worth the expensive price and we will likely not return to stay at the Peppermill.

*3.5 but rounding to 4 stars* For a casino hotel, Peppermill is pretty clean and didn't have any bad odors. We booked a deluxe king room with the steam shower. We unfortunately got a room in a bad location. It was really close to the elevator and ice machines so there was constant noise throughout the night. The room is very spacious and had lots of bathroom counter space. The steam shower makes it feel like you have your own personal sauna room. Cool to experience. Lots of great amenities such as a spa, two pools and a decent fitness room. We're not big on gambling so it was nice that they had a "Game Lab" aka an arcade room. This hotel has plenty of parking. They have some EV chargers but it may be difficult to get one as it's very populated.

Another amazing stay! As always, the rooms were fresh and clean. The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, was always on point. My past three stays have been in the Tuscany Tower, and I highly recommend it. Rooms and bathrooms are larger, the showers are amazing. I believe the rooms were recently renovated. Definitely worth the extra cost!

This is the only hotel that I will stay at in Reno. I have been here many many times over the past few years. It's a quick getaway with a beautiful drive from Cali! I have stayed in the Peppermill Tower primarily, however the Tuscany Tower is nice. The hotel rooms are nice in both towers. The food is decent at every restaurant that I have been, although I have not tried all of them. I have my favorites and you can't go wrong with any of them, honestly. Always a great time at the Peppermill Reno.

Feeding my Christmas decorations addiction and Peppermill is coming in close to it's competition. Beautiful Christmas trees. I do love the energy at peppermill. Especially watching sports and having a light adult beverage.

On a last-minute trip to visit my dad in Reno, we booked the Peppermill Resort since that's where he was staying. We have two kids, so we were happy to see that the hotel is kid-friendly and even has an arcade and a heated pool, which was perfect for winter. Unfortunately, we traveled during a storm and the drive took about 14 hours. I was able to call the front desk ahead of time and request a room on the same floor as my dad. They made a note in our reservation, and when I received the mobile check-in text, I could see the request reflected there. Once I completed mobile check-in, it confirmed we were on the same floor. It still took another 10 hours before we finally arrived, but our room was ready and the final check-in process was smooth and easy. The room itself was very spacious for a family of four. We really appreciated that the double beds were queen-sized--after recently staying at a Marriott with full-size beds, this was way better. There was plenty of storage in the drawers and closet for all our snow gear, swimwear, and regular clothes for 4 people over two days. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We were thankful to be on a non-smoking floor, which gave us a break from the smoke smell in the casino areas. I understand this is a casino and that indoor smoking is allowed in Nevada, so I won't complain about that. I called the front desk a few times during our stay, and every interaction was friendly and responsive. While I don't gamble, drink, or smoke--so this isn't really my scene--I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys some or all of those things.

I absolutely loved this Hotel, we were passing by first we stayed at the El Dorado then the peppermill. I can say that I truly had a pleasant stay, the rooms are beautiful! Clean, spacious, comfortable beds, clean resort most beautiful pool, the employees and customer service was by far my favorite! Kenny blackjack dealer was so awesome the poker room was the cheapest, the gift shop employees were so sweet! My cup was broken, they mailed me a new one store manager Claudia was so sweet I'll be goi g to say hi to her next visit. Room service employees were so kind, can't believe you get a fridge in the room as well as a microwave if requested. We will definitely be returning.

The resort was beautiful! There are several places to eat, a game room, casino, HUGE TVs throughout, and a beautiful pool area. The hotel room was great with lots of beautiful amenities. The issue isn't with the location it's with construction occurring on the roof. It was during daytime hours but began as early as 7am! The constant banging at different parts of the roof right over our hotel room made it hard to sleep in or relax during the day. They shouldn't have allowed for booking of certain rooms if they knew construction in the roof was occurring.

8/7/25 FYI. Peppermill, Hot August Nights! Booths
    Lee D.

Quality/Quantity - Overall good. We came here today for Hot August Nights. Their parking garage was under construction, but still plenty of spaces, even with Hot August Night going on. Still easy in and out. Atmosphere - What is up with all your large screen TVs? To create FAKE selfies...? See picture. 1623 rooms, 785 suites, 10 restaurants, and a convention space all within the hotel. Notable restaurants are: Bimini Steakhouse, Biscotti's, Biscott's Cafe, Cafe Espresso, Cafe Milano, Casino Bar, Chi, Fireside lounge, High Limit Slot Lounge, Island Buffet (currently closed), Lobby Lounge, Oceano (2016 remodel), Romanza, Sole Poolside, Sports Bar and Deli, The Pub, The Terrace, and White Orchid Private Dining. Tuscany themed. Heated outdoor pool and cabanas. A fairly large gym. You can also get married in the Pisa Room. Spa & salon. Free use of computers for flight information or to print boarding passes. So many bright video slot machines. Add this with the big screen TVs and I am starting to get dizzy... Poker room. Etc. Service - Good. Mostly self service. Well today my waitress was amazing, the beers kept coming and I even left winning $7, LOL. I gave my winnings away as a tip. Price - Normal for a resort casino. Casino resort prices. Owner Suggestion - Congrats on your success since 1971.

    YES, YOU WILL

Dog friendly? Can I bring my dog there?

I only saw service dogs with harnesses

    Can I get a facial?

Yes!! It's a full spa and they have a wonderful staff starting with Bridgett Rogers, the manager. I get facials there often.

Is the hotel completely smoke free?

No, in addition to non-smoking areas, there are smoking areas in the casino but the rooms are smoke-free.

Is the Peppermill Tower still undergoing renovations? Planning to stay there in February and would like to know if I should be concerned about construction noise.

    The renovations are complete.

    Is there a buffet? Cost?

Hello! Sadly, the buffet never came back when opened after lockdown2020.

    Are there any EV chargers?

Yes, there are both Tesla and Chargepoint EV chargers in the main lot in the front.

What is best tower to stay? Thanks.

Our North and West Wings are an economical choice but still have the same amenities as our bigger towers. The Peppermill Tower rooms have been renovated and feel like new. And the Tuscany Tower suites offer larger rooms and huge bathrooms.

Yes I do it all the time!

Our airport shuttle runs from 4:00am to Midnight on the half hour.

I will be traveling home with my truck and 5th wheel trailer. I wanted stay the night at the Peppermill to split up our drive but can your hotel parking accommodate my truck and 5th wheel? Also, do you have security in the parking lots?

Anthony, we have ample parking for a vehicle your size and our Security Team does patrol all our parking areas day and night. You will need to obtain an Oversized Vehicle Pass from the Front Desk or Security.

Do you still offer player card/locals discounts for restaurants?

Yes 20% as of 10-2022. $100 in free play to sign up

    Do u have covered parking?

We have five floors of covered parking.

Does Cafe Milano still have the late night dining special? I believit was any breakfast item for such and such price. Cant recall exactly.

We do not offer a Late Night Specials Menu at Café Milano.

So... happy hour at Terrace Lounge, another casualty of Covid or will you be bringing it back?

    It's open

    Closest wedding chapel to Peppermill?

I think Grand Sierra Resort has one which is few minutes away. You can call and ask to verify.

When will the pool be open for the season?

Marian, The Lower Pool is open now, but will tentatively close on May 9th for repairs at which time the Upper Pool will open.

My family and I stayed at the GSR for 3 nights to attend a close family member's wedding -- the entire reason we made the trip to Reno. Here is what we encountered: The Room We arrived to a visibly dirty room that needed a thorough cleaning. There were stains on the furniture, walls, and bedding. No washcloths were available despite multiple requests to housekeeping -- they finally arrived on our last day, too late to be of any use. On our first night, a sticky substance on the bedding transferred to my clothing and permanently ruined both my pants and my belt. I have not been able to remove it despite multiple attempts. Pest & Safety Concerns We found a large unidentifiable bug in our room that we had to kill and dispose of ourselves. For the remaining nights of our stay we were uneasy and anxious about what else might be present while we slept. Marijuana Odors -- Every Single Day For all 3 days and nights, the hallways leading to our room reeked of strong marijuana. My 7-year-old son asked me about the smell every single time. No parent should have to have that conversation repeatedly because a hotel cannot enforce its own policies. Rude Guest Services When I called to request washcloths, instead of simply helping me, the agent chose to lecture me on the difference between a washcloth and a face cloth. It was condescending and completely unhelpful. The Pool -- And the Moment We Lost Forever At the pool, our server went on break and her replacement could not locate my payment card. The time we lost waiting caused us to leave late -- and we arrived at the wedding chapel just as guests were walking out. We missed our family member's wedding ceremony entirely. We had traveled to Reno for one reason, and because of this staff failure we did not get to witness it. That is something we will never be able to get back. Checkout & Aftermath When I raised all of these issues at the front desk before checking out, I was redirected, dismissed, and ultimately handed a business card with a vague promise that someone would follow up about my clothing. No apology. No acknowledgment of the bigger picture. No resolution. That was nearly 60 days ago. I have followed up in writing. I have heard nothing -- not a single word. I spent a significant amount of money at this property and was treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. I would not recommend the GSR to anyone traveling with family, and especially not for any trip where something important is at stake. GSR -- my complaint is still open. You know how to reach me.

The casino is still so smokey. They either need better ventilation or prohibit smoking completely. The patrons at the Horseshoe Bar were obviously overserved. Screaming drunks, stumbling people. Honestly, where is security? Our room was on the 19th floor. It was a corner room and actually quite nice (until it wasn't) the king bed was comfy, there was a chaise lounge and 2 chairs. We overlooked a train yard and metal recycling plant. If you looked up, instead of down, the view was quite nice. Then, it happened. Hot water was running brown in both sinks and the shower. I called the desk, they said let it run. We did. Still brown. The white wash cloths were discolored. She said the cold water is okay to drink. Ummm, no. I asked for bottled water to be sent up. At midnight, when it still hadn't arrived I called the desk. No answer. I affixed a note to the door asking to not knock, just leave the water, which they did. Bed bugs, two room moves, and absolutely no mitigation plan!!!…read more I have never written a public review before, despite plenty of less than perfect experiences. I worked in the service industry for years and generally believe businesses deserve the opportunity to make things right. The Nugget had that opportunity and chose not to.. During our stay for Hot August Nights, we discovered bed bugs in room 1638. Security responded promptly, confirmed the issue, documented it, and moved us to room 2838. That replacement room had a long standing AC leak, saturated carpet, peeling wallpaper, and visible growth behind the wall covering. Engineering inspected it the next morning and told us we absolutely could not remain there. We were moved again, to room 1242. The frontline employees were kind, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Management was the problem. We repeatedly asked what the hotel could do to prevent us from carrying bed bugs into the next rooms or home with us. There was no laundry service, no heat treatment option, no containment procedure offered, and no written policy or protocol available when requested. We were allowed to move the same luggage and belongings from 1638 to 2838 and then to 1242 with no mitigation whatsoever. If we had picked up hitchhikers in the original room, we could easily have carried them through multiple hotel rooms and eventually home. We are now home and spending our own time laundering and heat treating our belongings because the property offered no assistance with this before our departure. Manager on Duty Cole Hughes was particularly disappointing. After initially avoiding speaking with us directly, he ultimately offered no meaningful assistance and told us, in substance, that once we left the property the problem would be ours. He then directed us back to Security, whose staff had already done far more to help us than management had. We requested management follow up in writing while we were still on property. No response. We requested information about what to do if we brought bed bugs home. No answer. We were told Risk Management would contact us in 7 to 15 business days. Before departure, I ultimately obtained the Risk Management phone number from Security myself. I called after returning home and left a message. This is what bothers me most: the Nugget responded to the rooms, but not to the guests. Moving us was necessary. It was not a complete response to a bed bug exposure. If this is what corporate ownership has turned guest service into, relocate, document, pass the customer to Risk Management, and wait for them to leave, it is incredibly disappointing. I am writing this because future guests should know: if you encounter bed bugs here, based on our experience, do not assume the property has a meaningful procedure in place to help prevent you from carrying them elsewhere or taking them home. Security and Engineering deserve credit. Management absolutely does not.

Every machine is the same thing: win slightly less than you're betting to chase a dragon that does not exist. Food is notably priced but again that's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. As a Casino this place is more than deserving of a full Zero Stars.

One positive thing I want to say about the cafe restaurant, the workers every one of them are giving 150% working hard.My compliments to them. One thing that I've noticed and it's very negative is that the prices have jumped up, which has happened in a lot of places, but this is a little extreme. For example, they had a senior menu. They cut out approximately 1/2 of their senior menu, which is ridiculous. A lot of the locals come there and many are seniors the options on the menu amount to almost nothing for seniors now.. BRILLIANT SND THOUGHTFUL! Example on the regular breakfast menu they HAD a chicken fried steak it was a big chicken fried steak like all the other breakfast restaurants in the area now when you order that you get a small chicken fried steak, which was originally from the seniors menu a very downsized small chicken fried steak. Once again that chicken fried steak is not available on the senior menu instead they're using that small chicken fried steak for the regular menu. You're paying almost double and getting 1/2 of the value. CHEAP!! Also, throughout the casino, it always reeks of cigarettes smoke at one point I thought it was a very nice casino. Now I think it's rundown. Nobody really cares about anything. They're very few employees working the floor. The escalators going upstairs are always broken my opinion of the nice casino is now that it's turned into a dump!

Hotel-Lodging Review (mostly):…read more To hear some folks speak on Circus Circus (either here in Reno or the sister property in Vegas), you'd think someone were describing the conditions inside a POW camp or prison. Haven't stayed or patronized the property here in decades. And the primary aim with this stay was getting back into the Caesar's Rewards program as quickly and as economically as possible. Sure, it's an older property with it's proverbial warts, but the stay held appeal for me. And it didn't hurt that I upgraded to a Spa King Suite, located in the Casino Tower. Check-in supervisor Asialene was a sweetheart who set the tone for my 1 night stay. Spa Suites have either an oversized soaking tub or one with jet nozzles (basically a mini whirlpool-jacuzzi). Really relaxing and is always a highlight of any stay, no matter the property. These rooms are huge! Around 680 sq. ft. Like an apartment almost. Easily accommodates multiple adults or a family with the non-king, 2 bed set up. Wet bar, Keurig machine, mini fridge, 42" big screen, a 2nd smaller screen in the master room, two separate toilets in each suite. The climate A/C system works great; no nonsense old-school horsepower blowing from 2 separate units in the suite. Unlike at some of the fancier resorts around town that skimp on the room HVAC output. In short and overall, there's quite a bit of value for what you get here at Circus, comparatively speaking. It serves well a niche for folks not wishing to break the bank for a simple night's stay while in Reno. Sure, other resorts are fancier no doubt, but, you're also shelling out more cash to get that in most cases. My normal go-to resort in Reno is usually Peppermill for example. Stay there several times a year. Which defies comparison to Circus on many levels. But, one thing I actually appreciated about Circus was being about to get where I wanted with a lot fewer steps than at most other fancier resorts. For the same time + distance it takes you to weave from 1 side of Peppermill to the other towers and parking areas for example, you could cover about the same distance between all 3 resorts under The Row (Circus Circus, Silver Legacy & El Dorado) it seems. Setbacks here at Circus like hot & stuffy hallways and lobbies, slow & inoperable escalators & elevators, a dystopian parking garage, closed rewards center & cashier cage (only at Circus, not at Silver Legacy & El Dorado) turned out to be minor inconveniences that were fairly easily overlooked & remedied during the stay. I mean, who really judges a resort by the parking garage for example? Was here for Monday overnight, so most of the shops and some restaurants within the Circus side were closed, owing to the idea that Monday's are typically one of the slowest days of the week. They've also swung the axe on table games here at Circus, a bummer from the heyday where lively floor crowds were the norm. Bartender blamed this on Covid when I inquired. But again, a short walk to either Silver Legacy or El Dorado casinos via the indoor connected walkways solves that riddle. I wasn't on the property long enough to relive the still-active midway-arcade, free circus acts (if they even still have those?), restaurants, etc, so can't comment there. But, it would be a sad day if this property ever closes. And I definitely wouldn't hesitate lodging here again at any of the other properties at The Row.
