The place itself was very nice, but unfortunately, we could hear loud karaoke from the room next to us at 2 a.m. I called guest services, and they assured me they would send security since quiet hours were in place, but nothing was done to address the issue. It's important that guests' comfort is prioritized, and I feel this could have been handled better. The people here are trash. This was all literally in a 30 minute timespan. We sat down at a blackjack table and I noticed the dealer gave me an incorrect amount of chips. When I called her on her mistake, she immediately gave me attitude. Anger issues? We moved to a different table because we couldn't stand her. My friend got a text and this new dealer said she would stop the game if he was on his phone. To top it off, the floor manager was uncomfortably insisting to change our chips as we were leaving. Every time we needed anything from housekeeping, the items arrived promptly. Free self parking. Casino has fair prices for the tables. The lowest buy in was $10. Pool is open year round and heated! It was so relaxing to be in the hot tub while it was snowing! There are multiple restaurants in the hotel and an arcade for kids. The Tuscany tower king suite did not disappoint. We stayed in room 1026. We had a view of the mountains, and a lovely crane on the second day. I enjoyed the jacuzzi tub, the water is very hot, but got cold quickly. The shower in the room is huge. There's great dining at the hotel, we tried the Cafe, Oceano, and place by the betting. My only complaint with the hotel is the casino sucked! Not only did they take my money quick, they didn't let me have fun doing it. No bonus rounds or anything! read more

Great Casino and Hotel!! We came to Reno to kick it for my birthday and stayed here. The room we stayed in was great. Super comfortable beds, huge TV, mini fridge, but the bathroom was the hit. It was huge, the walk in shower had 2 shower heads, never seen that before. It also had a large jacuzzi tub along with a TV in the bathroom. Parking was easy enough once you figured out how to navigate it. The Casino itself was very active, especially later in the evening, like 12 or 1 AM. Their sports book was one of the nicest I've seen, you know I had to bet on a few college football games while I was there. It was very cold in the morning, but people were still in the pool. Now, I know the pool was heated, but I passed on that, don't do the polar bear thing, lol!! Had a great time here, highly recommended!! read more

The loudest heater in the entire universe, can't get a lick of sleep. The blankets are about as thick as paper. Microwave is available in policy per request, but would it have been that difficult to leave one in the rooms already? It's as if rooms weren't built for sleeping in. The few restaurants in the tower had over an hour long waits, so trying to actually eat inside the hotel is impossible. I've never been unable to sleep in a hotel before. Called the front desk: it's the modem light, it cannot be turned off, at least give me some damn black tape to cover this damn light. I stay at the Peppermill when I'm in Reno, because it offers quality amenities such as the pool/hot tub and fitness center. The pool/hot tub was just the right size and wasn't crowded with people. The fitness center was my favorite part of the stay. From state of the art equipment, showers in the locker room, access to a co-ed sauna, and a steam room in the locker room, I truly enjoyed the experience. Not to mention, there were free water bottles at the front counter. The rooms were nice too! They've done a lot of renovations across the last year and I was pretty impressed with the turn out! The rooms were decently sized and the bathrooms were pretty. The toilet didn't have a strong flush, but it was good enough. Overall, my stay was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to come back! read more

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights. We liked the hotel. The room had two bedside tables, each with a reading light. I appreciated the TWO upholstered easy chairs, plus a padded desk chair. The room had a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. The room had sufficient bedside charging and electrical outlets. I really liked the huge attractive backlit photo displays on the walls of the casino and hotel. They periodically changed to offer a new scenic view. Many of the photos were landscapes but some were city views. One night we heard two live musicians in an upstairs bar. This hotel was a comfortable base from which to explore Reno. We ate dinner at three different higher-end restaurants at the casino, but weren't able to get a spot at the steakhouse. We liked walking around the casino. We did not do any gambling. read more

Stayed at the hotel for a conference. The room was spacious, same with the bathroom. The front desk personnel were very friendly as well as everyone else employees. I like the fact the convention center is just downstairs from the hotel and all amenities! No driving around! The training rooms, sound system, projectors, etc everything was very good. I just had a few issues at the hotel; the housekeeper read the note I left and she was very active, trying to find everything: ~the coffee mugs in my room were found dirty (lip stick stains) ~I needed to use the sewing kit, and was actually empty ~there was only one face towel in the suite. The next day, she did everything to solve the issues and even gave me extras! I would love to come back for another conference! I enjoyed the cigar bar, Chi and Ocean restaurants, the Spa (actually had to reschedule because they were running late) and the Casino. It was fun! read more

So a funny (not) story ... the other evening my husband and I encountered a bat in our house at dusk! Yikes!! We (meaning my husband) tried to coax it outside but we didn't know if the frightened little guy actually made it outside or not. So, in an abundance of caution, my husband booked us a couple nights at the Peppermill (we felt one night would be a waste). We quickly grabbed some things and headed on over. Because of the cheap rate, we ended up in arguably the least favorable area of the hotel, the north wing. The gal that checked us in warned us that the picture of the room that my husband saw on Hotel Tonight when booking doesn't look like the room we got because we paid for the "old" section. There was even a funny way of getting to our room from the reception area: take the elevator located around the corner to the 3rd floor, then take the skywalk over to the north wing, then take the elevator down to the 2nd floor. Apparently there must always be some confusion about reaching the north wing so they have printed out directions to help guests like us that end up with rooms over there. We expected the worst but the room itself was clearly renovated and was pretty nice! The downside was that the north wing is separated from the main hotel and there is a delivery road in between which could make for noisy morning wake-up calls. And interestingly, there was a notification on the dresser indicating that there is currently a seasonal increase in the moth population in Reno so windows and doors should be kept shut. Since bats love to eat moths, this could mean that bats are especially active now. Overall, we enjoy the Peppermill and its numerous displays featuring ever-changing video shots of places around the world. Another positive thing for us is that the sportsbook appears to now be smoke-free! Also, as locals with a Peppermill Passport Rewards Club card, we get a 20% discount for dining, bars, and boutiques. We also spent some time in their lovely pool and my husband used their fitness room. We ended up having a nice little staycation (p.s. for those wondering, we no longer have a bat problem. We found the little guy sleeping on a window ledge the next day and were able to set him free). read more

My visit to the Peppermill I was not disappointed. I booked a king suite in the Tuscany tower When we walked in our room you could hear Italian music softly play. Definitely set the vibe. We came during street vibrations weekend we had a blast and the service was great you can text the concierge and they will help you with what is needed. I needed batteries for the tv in the bathroom and they came and swapped out the whole remote. I highly recommend staying in the Tuscany Tower Suites. The rooms and parking garage are going through a remodel so there was some noise and detours that were kind of annoying. The rooms definitely need a makeover as they are outdated. We had to ask every day for shower essentials as they put the bare minimum in the rooms. The pools were nice but could use some cleaning. The gym is clean and nicely equipped. We loved the outdoor pool area so much, we told our Reno friends to get a room just to use the pool for day use. Fireside lounge is so much fun. Loved the setting and delicious cocktails. Parking was confusing but free. I stayed at the Peppermill new building, room is remodeled and the hotel itself is nice. I like that their pool is actually warm, but the Jacuzzi is very small and always packed. The restaurants seem nice but didn't get a chance to try because they require a reservation. Casino offers a variety of games, minimum bet is $15, but full of smokers. There are arcades for kids, but each game costs avg $1.5, some even $4.75. Customer service is lacking from some of the front desk staff. Check-in time is 3pm, but my room was not ready and I didn't pick up the keys until 5:30pm. There weren't any apologies or complementary offers. Matt from the front desk said "we don't guarantee check in time, you need to wait for us to call you", while I don't see that fine print in the hotel policy or my reservation terms & conditions. Overall, it's a decent hotel to stay if you don't mind waiting for your room after 5pm and there is a resort fee with tax of $47 each night (total about $353 a night for two queen beds). read more

Very nice Casino area. The pools were decent. The restaurants looked good, but I didn't eat in them. The room I had on the north wing was beautiful. I was supposed to have a view of the pool, which I did if I wrenched my neck to the left, but I had a clear view of a building in front of me. I could hear the girl next door to me on her phone for hours, and the couple across from me, I could hear their conversation every night until two in the morning. Very hard to get a decent night sleep especially when I had to get up early for a flight. I probably won't be going back here to stay, but I would like to eat at a couple restaurants. read more

We do the Peppermill every March for March Madness. It's our favorite casino in Reno this year we stayed in the deluxe king suite which are newly remodeled, and super spacious loved that our room had a Keurig and mini fridge. Their spa is amazing but on weekends or busy weeks can get pretty crowded. But with purchasing a spa treatment, you can use the spa facility all day. We did have behind our nightstands these cut outs with some sort of electrical wiring so if you plan on staying there with little kids, just know they may be able to get into it. Food is pricey in the casino. For food the Sports Deli is great. Love the corn beef sandwich. If you want to eat at a sitdown restaurant, I recommend any of them except for Chi. You can get better Chinese food at Panda Express. read more

I've been living in Vegas for over 25+ yrs so casinos and hotels are nothing new to me but when I am in Reno, Peppermill really stood out. It is a gem in the rough My husband has a Tesla and there are EV chargers there that are free. Woo hoo! Plenty of garage parking that are also free, ok this is getting good right? Haha Getting to the door was easy, casino was clean and spacious with lots of room to walk thru. Lots of slots machines and big screens with awesome displays and I'm not talking about slots displays. Huge screens flashing displays of the outdoor! Whaaat??! It really makes you feel like you want to take another vacay far away in a nice tropical place somewhere. Many options to dine. I saw some nice but pricey looking restaurants. Lots of bars and cocktail waitresses, table games and a small sections near the lobby lined with shops, in case you forgot your sunscreen or bathing suits. Check in at the lobby was a breeze. A short line and we were assisted within 15-20 mins with just a few people ahead of us. All staffs were friendly, efficient and professional. The players club has some improvement to do. None of their kiosk work when we tried to sign up using our ID like it should have. We waited in line and got our cards. The staffs were helpful but not the friendliest. Maybe they were overworked and under paid, I don't know. Management should look into this, perhaps give them incentives to make it more fun. Just a suggestion. We got a Tuscany room and it was amazing! Spacious, clean, modern and the bathroom was huuuge with a whirlpool tub. I felt like I was on my honeymoon Hehee. We got lucky and got a beautiful view of the pool. Sadly we never got the chance to utilize the pool however we walked thru it just to check it out. Note to self, plan on spending a day at the pool. We didn't eat there but drove around town to explore and ate elsewhere but I plan on trying something there next time. My only suggestion and wish is that there's a dog friendly rooms so we can bring our fur baby on our trip for a small reasonable fee. Example perhaps first 3 floors for $25-$50 deposit? Amazing family friendly experience! We spend a few days in this beautiful resort in Reno; we rented a Tuscan room with a veranda that had the best views. Our room was smoke-free, it was large and had an Italian theme for an immersive experience; it also had a jacuzzi and a TV in the bathroom, king size beds and luxurious bed sheets. Room service was provided, and they were very kind and friendly. We enjoyed drinks and small bites at their amazing tempered pool; then we had a nice workout at the state of the art gym. We had an incredible breakfast at Biscotti's cafe and a luxury dinner at the Bimini Steakhouse. It is highly recommended! read more

We stayed at Peppermill for a quick overnight stay to visit my MIL who was staying up the street at the Atlantis. We got checked in very quickly despite the check in line and our room was perfect for a party of 2 plus a newborn. The shower pressure was amazing and it appears that the bathroom had been recently updated in our room. We also really enjoyed the room service which was quick, hot and amazing portions! My only complaint is that the air conditioner is loud and there is no way to turn it off. Otherwise, this was a decent place to stay. Although the hotel is a little older the room was clean and comfortable for a nights stay. Unfortunately we did not get to use any of the amenities so I can't speak in those. We enjoyed our stay. Every employee I encountered was lovely and helpful. We had a room with a veranda, which I loved. They sold us on the "garden" view, rather than the pool view. I think "garden" was a bit of a stretch. They have fake grass and a few trees, and a couple of fountains that weren't working. Beyond that, it's a view of an apartment complex across the street. Regardless, I did like being able to open the doors to get fresh air inside, and it wasn't too noisy from the street, so it was pretty peaceful. The food was great. We started at the blackjack table and could not get a drink even though our level of player card should allow it.
