This place is the best peri peri in the area. We got the half chicken the peri peri wings fries and peri peri chicken sandwich. It was so good and probably the best peri peri I had so far. It's a new spot and it's a must try. More yummy halal foods are coming to Long Island and this is so great. We tried all the sauces as well which were yummy. I originally had Peri Peri chicken in Washington at Nando's it was so good! I finally found something comparable. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. I will no longer be eating here. They raised prices on the paper menu by 3$+ but did not change the prices on the tv menu inside the restaurant at the cash register. A butterfly chicken breast with a side of rice used to be 13$ and suddenly 16$??? 23% price increase??? For 16$ i can get a real meal from a fancy restaurant not some fast food chicken breast. The owner was super nice, asked me if I ever had Portuguese food and I explained that I was introduced to it through another restaurant but the owner confidently expressed his restaurant can go toe to toe with them. I have to say he didn't lie I ordered a half chicken dark meat only with mild sauce and it was beyond delicious like it attacked my taste buds delicious, the fries were perfectly crispy and flavorful and I ordered the fried shrimp but the star of the show was the chicken and the hot sauces. We dined here for the first time, they have a really nice indoor seating arrangement. We ordered the 1/4 chicken, peri-peri chicken sandwich, peri-peri fries, and the mountain burger. Everything served to us was delicious! The owner spoke with us about how he started the restaurant, and was very genuine about making sure we were enjoying our experience. Peri-Peri Guys is a must-try! Although it's not quite as good as Nandos, the chicken is still delicious and some of the best peri peri in NYC. Walk into the place and the front counter was busy so waited a few minutes to speak to someone only to be told the order will be another 3 minutes. Not off to a good start. They made two mistakes on the order. Instead of fries, we got a side order tenders. We ordered the Avocado salad but it didn't have any Avocados! Food wasn't bad but I do mostly take out and I'm lazy so getting the order right the first time is very important to me. Also, their hot sauce isn't spicy at all. Excellent! I tried peri-peri chicken in Portugal a few years ago and was so excited when I heard about this restaurant. We did take out and got 5 king sandwiches with fries, Mac and cheese, peri rice. Everything was delicious and they gave us all the sauces to try. This place is terrible and my initial review of this place was somehow removed. But the food is mediocre and the service is disgusting. The girl at the counter had a terrible attitude was rude from the beginning. She told us our food was gonna take 20-25 minutes after we had already waited 20 minutes so we went for a 15 min walk. This was the second time we picked up peri peri guys. We did the Squad of 4 which was awesome. Comes with 12 wings, whole chicken and 4 sides. The chicken is super flavorful with a ton of spice and kick. We get everything mild, which by itself has a lot of spice but they give you all the sauces in the side so you won't miss out. Big fan of the very hot actually. We like the Mac and cheese and Cole slaw sides. We got the corn the first time and it was meh, just one corn halved and a bit dry. Residing in Queens, I've never heard of Peri Peri Guys. However It was a surprise visit to Peri Peri due to some work in nearby area. I must say We had the best chicken in while and that "very hot sauce" was dangerously bomb. Workers were really friendly and gave us lot of extra sauce when asked & also took some home. This place was really good when they first opened up, i would come here alll the time! There was a time when i went 2 weeks in a row, every single day, thats how good it was. But recently it changed a lot. im not sure if they changed their recipe or the cooks, but its not the same. The chicken is always so dry and hard, the sauces arent the same, and the fries are so bad! the peri fries used to be my go-to, but now theyre so stale, dry, salty and fulll of oil. They need to change everything back to the way it was in the beginning, because it sucks to see a place like this go down. it is a little pricey, and the wait is always long but i couldnt fight the craving and it was worth it, sadly i havent been feeling the same about it recently. read more
