Babyback ribs, Mac n cheese, white beans.

Outstanding! Had the daily special. It was a generous portion of baby back ribs. Best I have had in Tennessee. Even the side were great. I highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious barbecue, and really friendly people. We tried 3 meats - pulled pork, brisket, and sausage. All were incredibly flavorful, juicy and delicious - exactly what small town Tennessee barbecue should be. The loaded baked potato - covered with cheese, butter, pulled pork and sour cream - was enormous and delicious - it would feed a small family for two days. For $8 bucks it was a ridiculous bargain. The redskin potatoes salad is the stuff of my dreams.... in a few nights I will literally wake in the middle of the night craving this stuff. I may ask if they can FedEx some to me back in Ohio. Seriously, it's that good... All in all, this is spectacular, outstanding and exactly what I expect for Tennessee barbecue, and we would return very very enthusiastically. Simply outstanding food, great prices and REALLY NICE people...!!!

Brisket, beans and Mac and cheese. All outstanding!

Nice little diner! Greeted and seated quickly, My French Toast was a huge order at a great price…read moreand was fluffy and custard-y! His eggs, sausage and pancakes were also spot on! Definitely a great diner!

My friend and I were looking for a spot to grab a quick lunch and catch up on some business, and…read moresince we were both in the mood for a diner, we ended up at Uncle John's American Diner in Goodlettsville. The Vibe: We arrived a little after 2 p.m., knowing they closed at 3, so the team was already starting to wind things down and close off part of the dining room. The place looks and feels exactly like you'd expect from a classic diner, simple, casual, and comfortable. It was clean, which I always appreciate. The only small quirk was that our booth table sat a little off-center, so we had to do a quick adjustment, but no big deal. Service: Our server looked like he might've just started, honestly, he couldn't have been more than 12 (lol). You could tell he was new and nervous, but very polite and trying hard. When I ordered the breakfast croissant, he quickly said they were out, and another server jumped in to help clarify part of my friend's order. Despite the small hiccups, everything was handled kindly, and he was genuinely nice. Food & Drinks: I went with the Breakfast Burrito, and it was good -- nothing to write home about, but solid. The scrambled eggs were super fluffy, which stood out, and the salsa had good flavor. My friend ordered the Cowboy Eggs (two eggs over crispy tortillas with refried beans, cheese, and avocado). He felt the same -- decent, but standard. He also mentioned his coffee wasn't hot -- more "end-of-day warm," lol -- which fit the late-afternoon timing. On the drive back, he said something didn't sit quite right afterward, which was unusual for him. Overall: It was fine for what it was -- clean, friendly, and typical diner fare -- but nothing that would make me want to stop in again, even if I were close by. Date of Visit: November 2, 2025
