Loved the kashk bademjoon. Absolutely delicious. Tried the combination koobideh. Enjoyed the chicken more than the meat. Everything else was average. I'm still reeling from paying $11.99 for a small bowl of yogurt with chopped cucumber in it. The meal cost us upwards of $110 for two and this is not a fancy place. I think the sides are really expensive for what they are - especially the yogurt and the shirazi salad (Again just chopped cucumber and tomatoes in a small bowl) Tahdig with ghormeh sabzi came swimming in oil with barely 2 small pieces of meat in it and four kidney beans. Did not eat this. Tahdig was not crunchy, it was soggy. Service is extremely sweet.

This place was just ok for me I think the eggplant appetizer was the highlight for me. The chicken thighs was a bit off for me. It was moist but I felt it could have been cooked more. The wrap dish needed a side tried to order fries but didn't have any that day.

I've been on a Middle Eastern food high for about a month now. I think it's my goal to try to find some of the best Middle Eastern, Persian, and Mediterranean eats in the South Bay area. I believe this was my second Persian place I tried on my pursuit of some of the best Persian/Middle Eastern eats. And boy am I glad I found this place. First of all this place I feel like is one of those hole in the wall places. It's kind of hidden to the side. Like a hidden gem. I also think that this place is also a really popular spot for receptions and catering. When I went on a Saturday afternoon it was nice and quiet, the host (I believe she is either the manager or owner) was super nice) I ordered koobidah and chicken combination because I wanted to try both proteins. I also ordered the lavaash bread also. I underestimated how large these portions were going to be. But besides the underestimation, the food was absolutely delicious here. I never combined lavaash with mint like that it's a whole new flavor profile I really came to appreciate with the sumac onions and grilled tomatoes on the side with the well seasoned and juicy meats was absolutely delicious. The saffron rice was a generous portion that could have probably feed two to three people. I needed to take leftovers home. But this place is worth checking out if you want to try Persian and Middle Eastern food I'm definitely coming back because it is my current favorite Middle Eastern spot. Update: One of the most hospitable restaurant managers I've met and places I ate at. Please support this place!

My mind is blown. Came here on a Saturday night at around 8 pm. The staff were all very kind. We used the QR code to look at the menu and the server came by to take our order. I absolutely loved everything we ordered here. The hummus was delicious. I couldn't stop eating it The shallot yogurt was one of a kind. The best yogurt I've ever tasted at any Persian restaurant . The beef and chicken koobideh was just amazing . Flavorful, tender and super juicy. The best I've ever tasted in my life. Even the saffron basmati rice was actually fragrant. We will definitely be back often and bring a bunch of friends with us. My favorite Persian restaurant!

Lunch date with one of my besties after our late morning walk. I was craving Persian food, so we decided to try this place since it's conveniently located near Home Depot, which was our next stop for a quick errand. The restaurant was empty, probably because we came in for an early lunch. The host was very friendly and welcoming, although I did feel a little rushed to order since she checked in with us a few times to see if we were ready. I would totally understand if it had been busy, but we were the only customers there at the time. Since it was our first visit and the menu is accessed by QR code, we were still scrolling through everything and deciding what to get. We ended up ordering individual plates. I had the Chelo Kebab Koobideh, which is a ground beef kabob served with saffron rice, grilled tomato, and fresh onion slices. My bestie ordered the lamb chops with saffron rice and grilled peppers. While we were waiting, the host brought out complimentary flatbread, yogurt, and salad, which was such a nice surprise. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal. The food was flavorful and the portions were generous. The lamb chops were slightly charred, but my friend still enjoyed them. This place is more of a casual spot to eat, which makes it great for a relaxed lunch. I'm already planning to bring another bestie next week so she can try this spot too. They also accept credit cards, which is always convenient.

4.5 Stars This spot is one of my dad's favorite and he's a pretty particular guy. The food and the service are an easy 5. The food is flavorful and authentic and the portions are gigantic. We got the family platter of 6 assorted kebabs ($109.99) and the sabzi stew ($20.99) and it was all amazing. Us 5 people maybe finished like 50% of the food with plenty to take home afterwards. It was my first time having sabzi and I loved it - it was authentic and spiced well and wonderful. It had so much olive oil in it though - I wonder if that is normal. I'm not sure who was helping us out - she was so warm and sweet I figured she must be the owner, or friend of the owner. The interior is .... interesting, lol. Between the giant flashing LED screens, the garish fame flowers, and the choice of furniture... yeah, this isn't like, a classy nice ocassion spot. When I walked in I thought - oh god, the food better be really good or something. Oh, it was also completely empty when we walked in. Located in a strip mall.

Came here with friends on a Saturday night after seeing some positive reviews online, but unfortunately this place was a disappointment across the board. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, which quickly made sense to us. We were asked to view the menu via QR code but not order through it, but just tell the server what we wanted, which felt unnecessarily awkward. Prices also felt very high for what was offered. I paid nearly $25 for my dish, and it was absolutely not worth it. Additionally, they had images of the dishes on the menu which did not look like what we received. Food took almost 30 minutes to arrive. We were given complimentary lavash with butter and mint, but both the bread and butter were cold, making it nearly impossible to spread, and the combination itself was unappealing. Water was self serve from a jug that was never refilled. There were also cleaning solution bottles left on every table, which felt strange. We didn't know if we were expected to clean the tables ourselves. I ordered the gormeh sabzi, a dish I've had many times elsewhere. This version was overly sour, very oily, and came with very little stew compared to a large portion of rice. Service wise, the staff were friendly, but there were notable issues. My friend ordered chicken and was served beef instead. The server simply removed it from the plate. That's especially concerning for anyone with dietary restrictions. None of us enjoyed our experience, and given the price, wait time, and food quality, this isn't a place I'd recommend.

We are in a road trip and today was our last day in mountain view. I decided to instead of many stops get a persian food to go. Specially that today is Iran-Belgique world cup. I saw a persian Kabobs in an advertisement in IG and i saw they have single chicken skewers with no rice so definitely it was a big Yes. I called and confirmed and we drove by to pick up. The restaurant looks like old persian style in grand bazar. In farsi we say: چلوکبابی ( chelokababi) so its not a beautiful setup but its somehow nostalgia. All artificial flowers, red table cloths, red rose and...So its not a shic, high end restaurant...You get that familiar feeling that you are walking a restaurant in Tehran's downtown...But it was very clean which i like the most. Also just like a Persian restaurant, you can feel saffron and rice aroma from outside of restaurant. The TV was on and they were getting ready for the world cup. I wished we were able to dine in but we werent. We ordered chicken Tigh skewers. Dont forget to ask for lime and extra sumac. It was very juicy, delicious and balanced taste. Not too spicy or salty. We enjoyed our chicken! So delicious...Specially their mint and onion sumac were delicious...Overall, 5/5. People who work here are so welcoming and we felt we are at home!

Persian food is my absolute favorite, and this restaurant truly delivers one of the best dining experiences in Cupertino and the surrounding area. I ordered the combination plate, and every bite was delicious--perfectly grilled meats, fragrant rice, and fresh sides that reminded me of authentic Persian home cooking. The flavors were spot on, the portions were generous, and the presentation showed real care. What I loved most is that this place captures the warmth and richness of Persian cuisine while maintaining excellent quality. If you love Persian food--or even if you're trying it for the first time--this restaurant is a must-visit. It easily meets all the criteria for the best Persian restaurant in Cupertino and beyond. A Gem of Persian food in the Bay Area, greeting and welcome by the owner Shahram, and had my to go order read in no time, the tahdigh and ghormeh sabzi! WOW so delicious and tasty then tried the Chicken thigh kabob and chicken breast kabob and one absolutely better than the other! An skewer of kobideh again no need for Somagh since it was amazingly delicious. Absolutely definitely will be my Persian restaurant for family and friends gathering and catering. Persian Kabobs is the restaurant located inside Persian grocery store Super Cupertino. A comfortable, homey dining space. The hosts are so warm and sweet. They offer a full menu of Persian kabobs and stews. Order at the register and they bring it to you. Koobideh kabob plate is mouthwateringly delicious, expertly grilled and succulent. Saffron rice is wonderfully buttery. I was in bliss enjoying my kabob with grilled tomato, zereshk, sumac, hot tea. A large portion and great value for the price. Since my initial visit, I have come to Persian Kabobs multiple times, and the food has continued to be good overall. However, there are a few factors that have inspired me to update my review, from 5 stars to 3, and that is being very kind. I think it's important for people to take notice of these issues, especially the owner. It feels to me that the owner cares more about his financial bottom line, than he does about customer satisfaction, transparency, and trust. At first I overlooked some of these issues, and told myself that it's just a business starting out, and I shouldn't update my review. Today was the final straw, and I couldn't bite my tongue any longer. This business is overcharging, and tricking customers as part of their business model. As an Iranian, it is embarrassing to watch my people run a business in this manner. As a customer, it is infuriating to be a victim of these games. Charging $1.99 for HALF of 1 tomato is despicable. So I figured, I won't order tomato from them anymore. If you look online, the price for 1 skewer of barg is $17.99, but the true price is $23.99. So I figured, I won't order barg anymore. If you notice, when you order the chicken ($9.99 for 1 skewer with 5 pieces) your fingers will be stained yellow all day long. This is because they aren't using saffron, they're using yellow food coloring. That is yet another sign of cutting corners for profit. The last straw for me was today, when all I ordered was 1 skewer of kabob, and asked if it comes with complimentary lavash bread. The owner said yes and when I picked it up, I was charged $1.99 for 1 tiny piece of lavash AND parsley. I never received the parsley, and I never ordered it! You can buy an entire package of lavash for less than what they charged for 1 "complimentary" piece. These practices are unacceptable. I understand there is inflation and food costs are high, but no other persian restaurant in the area is charging outrageous prices like these. I stopped going to Yas because they would give "complimentary" bottles of Kirkland water and then charge $4 for them at the end. These are practices that make people look down at our culture. There has to be a limit to the greed. Customers can all see the owners greedy nature, when they are charged for things that were supposed to be complimentary, or charged an exhorbitantly high price for particular items. A business will not survive with these types of practices. You have to care about your customers. You have to earn their trust. I recommended many people to give this establishment their business, and they did. Now I'm going to make sure those same people are aware of these tactics. If and when, the owner decides to run an honest business, I will be back to give him another chance, I will update my review, and I will let my people know he is a man of character. Until then, he can find out first hand what a struggle running a business can be, when your bottom line comes before your customers and your business model relies on dishonesty and greed.. read more

This kebab was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The meat was juicy, perfectly grilled, and well-seasoned, with a great smoky flavor. Very authentic Persian food! It's a mom & pop propriety which is one thing ms I always support. Been her 3 times and keep coming back mainly of their authentic and sumptuous kebabs and baba ganoush. My Persian friends introduced me to this place and it's been one of my favorites since. The service is superb and ambiance is just as good. I hope they'll be around for long. read more

This place is unbelievable! The kebobs are super flavorful and succulent. The accompanying saffron rice is very flavorful. This place was empty except for us on a weekday evening. The stew (Gormeh Sabzeh) was really good, but the falafel wasn't that great ... Nice to sit outside and enjoy the California weather. Service was friendly but flaky ... I couldn't find our waitress to pay the bill and neither could the restaurant owners. Anyway, the owners were also very friendly. read more

I wanted to try out this restaurant and also try out Door Dash at the same time. In both cases I was a little disappointed. I cannot talk about the ambiance or the quality of the service. I ordered a Joojeh/Koobideh and a Koobideh Morgh combination dinners. Firstly the amount of food was quite significant for the price. Unfortunately the food didn't seem quite up to snuff compared with my favorite Persian restaurant in Sunnyvale. The basmati rice had no flavor at all. The joojeh chicken was a little too salty. The koobideh ground beef was the only one that tasted ok. I was a little disappointed with the meal and don't know if I will patronize this restaurant again. read more

Dined here for the first time on Wednesday night. Cute restaurant combined with a Persian grocery store. The restaurant area is extremely nice, and our server was very kind and explained every dish on the menu for us. While we waited for the food, we got to walk around the grocery store! We ordered: - beef koobideh - chicken koobideh - bbq chicken kebab - an extra veggie skewer with each (honestly not necessary cause each serving is so big) I am honestly really impressed by the quality of the everything in the restaurant side; we each got placemats and individual baskets with utensils. Each table is complete with a variety of spices+condiments, including sanitizer and tissues! both the koobidehs were extremely flavorful and tender! they were also MASSIVE. Definitely more than one serving, if not two servings worth. I recommend taking a bite with the onion, rice, meat, and basil for the perfect explosion of flavors. the saffron rice was also excellent! the bbq chicken skewer was also delicious, although I recommend the chicken koobideh because it was more tender. the owner of the restaurant is so nice and gracious as well. this is a family owned business and he proudly explained to us that our order used his new plates. after asking to take a picture of our meal to showcase the plates, he generously offered us free drinks of our choice as a thank you. I will definitely be coming back again, both for the flavor + portions of the food, but also because the owners are clearly passionate about their quality of food. I recommend for those in cupertino looking for a satisfying and fulfilling dinner! read more

Please do not fall for the other reviews as I believe it's being bought/written by the owners friends. This restaurant felt like an episode from the tv show kitchen nightmares. There is absolutely 0 reason for you to visit this restaurant. We waited more than 1 hour to receive our food (AND EVEN DRINKS) after being told 10 more minutes 3 times. Never refilled our water. We came last night and the speakers were blasting so loud you couldn't hear yourself think (see below video). They saw we were waiting a long time and gave us cold lavash bread with prepackaged butter and mint. Pathetic. And after all of this to already make us upset, the food came out and was terrible (beef tasted like a hamburger) and what made it worse, it WAS COLD. We didn't even want to complain because 1 you wouldn't even be able to hear us talk and 2, THE STAFF WERE TOO BUSY SINGING AND DANCING. I don't know if the owners were celebrating something (they were literally doing karaoke in front of everyone) but if they were they should have shut down the restaurant. Staff decided to serve all of the owners and their party before serving any of the customers. It literally felt like a party that you are not invited to. Btw you're spending minimum 20-50 bucks per person for this meal. Absolutely ATROCIOUS. The only positive is that they were not rude people, but everything else was the worst you can possibly imagine. If you are even considering going to this spot, DONT. Go to Kabul Afghan cuisine in downtown Sunnyvale. Literally EVERYTHING about that place is better, good service, food is quick, kebabs are legitimately delicious, nicer ambiance, AND ITS CHEAPER THAN THIS PLACE. I can say as an Afghan myself that has had many experiences at Persian and Afghan restaurants this is hands down one of the best If not the best Persian restaurant in South Bay Area! The food was so flavorful hot and amazing portions. I got zeresh pallow here and I was in heaven ! Amazing service as well by the sweet owner . Once you flip that coaster to green, the parade of meat begins. At around $80 per person before tax and tip, you'll absolutely get your money's worth. The ambiance was excellent. Live piano music set the mood without being overpowering, the lighting was just right, and there was never an awkward bottleneck at the salad bar. Everything felt well organized, which made the experience surprisingly relaxed for such a busy restaurant at peak dinnertime. Now for the important part: the food. They started us off with their gold foil-wrapped tableside top sirloin. A little gimmicky? Sure. But it was delicious and made for a great benchmark against the rest of the meats. One thing I really appreciated was the lack of "filler meats." I genuinely enjoyed almost every cut that came around. A few were slightly salty, and a couple leaned a bit tough, but overall the quality was consistently high. Ironically the servers walking with the filler stuff were the friendliest of the staff and never pressured you to get them (grilled cheese, pork sausage, chicken, etc) Over the course of the meal I had filet mignon, several varieties of top and bottom sirloin, beef ribs, lamb chops, multiple picanha preparations, and even shrimp. I counted 16 servings of meat--probably somewhere around 2,000 calories if I had to guess. Surprisingly, my favorite item wasn't even the beef, it was the grilled pineapple. Juicy, perfectly glazed, warm, and just sweet enough to reset your palate between heavier cuts. I went back for seconds without hesitation. Hell at the end of dinner, it made me crave pineapple juice. Do not sleep on this. As for the meats, the beef ribs, spicy picanha, and bottom sirloin were the standouts: incredibly tender, flavorful, and worth saving room for. By the end I was so full that dessert wasn't even a consideration. I don't see myself coming here every month, but it's one of those dining experiences everyone should try at least once. I recently dined at Persian Kabobs restaurant , and I can't stop raving about their incredible Persian kebabs! The meat was perfectly tender, juicy, and bursting with authentic flavors--grilled to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. The saffron rice complemented it beautifully, and the portion sizes were generous. Very nice and friendly staff and owner. They have fresh food, fresh juices, and persian groceries. The juices are great - easily the best part of the store. I had the fresh orange and pineapple juice. The kabab koobideh are good if not amazing. The store and kitchen and dining area are all very clean. happy to return whenever I am craving juices. read more

Really nice and clean ethnic market. Excellent selection of persian and middle eastern groceries. They also have ready made food (Persian/middle eastern fare like koobideh). And don't forget to get some freshly squeezed fruit juice, esp. pomegranate! Immaculately clean kitchen. Very friendly owner and staff. Wish them all the success. read more

I went there to get some food items and the Persian Beef Kabob, The staff were very friendly and the kabob was fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked. In addition the grocery section is very clean and organized. WE definitely go there again , read more

Honestly wasn't even hungry when I sat down to eat - somehow ended up finishing my whole plate of food that's how good it was. Kabobs are super savory and flavorful- 10/10 will visit again soon! read more
