Having eaten at every restaurant in Rosemary Beach, Seacrest, Alys Beach, and Inlet Beach, I can confidently say that Pescado is our favorite lunch spot (George's in Alys Beach is a close second, with nothing else even in the same hemisphere of awesomeness). I don't have enough words (or space) to extol all of the virtues of Pescado. The view is amazing (you have to request a seat on the balcony). The restaurant is bright and airy, and what you'd expect of fine dining 100+ feet above the sea. The downstairs hostesses are always friendly (especially if you yourself are as well). The wait staff are highly attentive and know the menu well. Pro Tip: If you want a guaranteed spot on the balcony, skimp on breakfast and show up at 10:45 AM to ensure you're first in line when they open at 11:00 AM. Just make sure to request a balcony seat and you'll have the privilege of enjoying an epic lunch in 30A's most picturesque restaurant. They don't take reservations for the balcony, so it's first come first serve. Also, request Allyson B as your waitress. She's incredible! read more

Cocktail review. Stopped in for a cocktail before dinner. Our party of four ordered four cocktails. Three of the four we couldn't drink. One a margarita that was straight lemon juice and tequila that you couldn't taste. Two were the Honeymoon, which would indicate a bit of sweetness described as tequila and honeydew melon. What a view!!! Nice atmosphere. The food was amazing. I don't know why I ordered a lobster grilled cheese with tomato bisque for breakfast - I don't eat cheese, bread, or lobster. And I'm a big tomato soup snob because I think I make it the best. LOL but this was in sane good. Everything about it was perfect from the taste, the texture, and the portion size. My friend had eggs with potatoes, and bacon. And she usually doesn't eat bacon LOL. She said it was the best she's ever had. The only complaint I have but they won't lose a star over it, is that the inside music which was very good, was a little loud for the space. They tried to seat us right next to the musician. Wine list is great. We had the scallops which were absolutely excellent. It may be a bit hard to get a table here. We came on Monday at 4pm and there was a line outside already. Pescado is a lovely and enjoyable venue, though for the life of me I cannot imagine why anyone would want to sit on the rooftop patio dining al fresco under full sun in the middle of summer, but hey, the tables were filled! I had their signature Margarita. I found it pretty underwhelming and, people, we're talking a $16, yes a sixteen dollar cocktail as was the Secretary of the Interior's Cosmo. $16??...yikes!! And this was not a large cocktail. The seared tuna topped with crabmeat app was quite good and for seniors like us would have made a fine entree. For an entree my wife ordered the Seafood Salad app from the Raw Bar menu. The tuna, shrimp, and lobster were all very fresh but she thought the soy overpowered the seafood in an unhappy way and this dish would have been far better prepared in a more conventional ceviche manner. I had the FOTD which was cobia served over a hash of eggplant, chopped Brussels sprouts, cherry tomatoes, Italian sausage and who knows what else. It was OK but I don't think it added anything to the fish, which itself was a bit overcooked, dry, and flavorless. The fish begged for some seasoning or sauce. I expect 30A dining to be pricy, but all in all this was one of our more disappointing two hundred dollar dining experiences read more

I did my homework for our girls trip and scheduled Pescado for brunch. It was a rainy Sunday and the vibe there was so perfect. They had a guy strumming his guitar and singing Don't Worry; Be Happy and the rain was coming down and the atmosphere was so cozy. PERFECTION!!! From the moment we entered the establishment, we knew we were experiencing something special. The rooftop dining was simply stunning as the sun set over Rosemary Beach. Let's start with the calming asthetics that sets the tone for the restaurant. Rosemary whites permeated the dining area, while a rustic rooftop bar became a hoping place of activity. How they kept these two distinct areas separated, I have no idea. There was a slight buzz of excitement as people entered and exited, yet it did not disturb the diners. Our server was Mila and we felt honored to have such a kind person walking us through the menu. She suggested some plates for sharing and others that were specialties. Eventually we ended up selecting the phenomenal cheese plate, bibb salad, scallop small plate and their famous Cantonese Lobster with noodles. For my husband's birthday, they even included a tres leches dessert. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this place. Note, it does have an 18 yr and up clientele rule and you do have to make reservations a month in advance (which I promptly did as soon as we left the restaurant for our trip next month). We never asked the cost of the lobster dish (I don't think I even realized there was no price shown) but the lobster dish alone was $165. Oops. It seems I have champagne taste and a beer wallet! Anyway -- it was fabulous and I recommend it, but keep in mind it is a pricey joint. I took off one star for "value". Sorry to come off like a cheap-skate (where did that saying come from anyway?). Unfortunate experience. We were excited to try this new restaurant and although the food was good and the bartenders were wonderful the hostess was horribly rude. You wait downstairs to be sat, elevator up and then another hostess takes you to your table...hence where the issue starts. She was rude from the start, we let that go, our group of 8 ordered apps and drinks which were all prepared amazing by the bartenders and then she came by again and told us to move our chairs and get out of her way. Funny no one was in her way and it was about the worst customer service. No one should act that way, in life and more importantly in the service industry. After that experience we decided to close out our expensive tab with delicious drinks and take our business to the Pearl. Same view, super nice staff and decent food. Sad that a bad attitude can ruin an experience. FYI the Sunday brunch is cute and the food is delicious. read more

Unfortunately-this visit was very disappointing- 4 of us dined there last night. The charcuterie board was very good, girls had salads- just ok, the waiter recommended the wagyu steak $125 per steak- this is where it went downhill fast- we ordered the steak pittsburg grilled on outside and medium inside- both steaks looked gray- no char was visible and mine was rare- I asked for it to be cooked more - but when it came back it was hard to cut and still bloody. There is no way that steak was wagyu quality. The staff tried to make it right- but having to wait when the other guest ate- made the experience terrible. I ordered the sea bass which was very good. I will never order a steak there again. If your selling a $125.00 steak it should be perfect. read more

The absolute best restaurant on 30A the view will blow you away overlooking beautiful Rosemary Beach into the Gulf of Mexico. The food is also incredible with choices from small plate to raw bar as an appetizer to individual entrees to some wonderful shareables. For starters I recommend the pan roasted shrimp and from the raw bar the tuna crudo. The shareables offer many great options from the Chefs Feast which offer a whole fish which the server will filet at the table for you to the Cantonese whole lobster that is the best dish on all of 30A. I almost forgot to mention the drinks which are incredible I prefer a smoked old fashioned but they also make incredible craft cocktails. read more

I really have hesitated writing this after giving them such a glowing review. But after the last 4 visits being such major disappointments, I feel I need to update it. After coming here for 3 years now, it started out great but has declined in ways that last night we decided it would be our last visit. The views of sunset are unmatched, but that's all that's going for them from our past 4 visits. I'll get right to it. Was told the ribeye was $85(Ala cart), ended up being $95(servers should know the prices of market priced meals). This ribeye is seriously only worth $40 at any other restaurant, I asked for it medium rare, it came out well done. I never mind spending money on quality food/experience, but that did not occur. I ended up eating most of my wife's meal as her fish was dry and asparagus wasn't fully cooked. We wanted to get dessert with chocolate and a port wine, so we ordered the S'mores and a port wine for each of us. Port($18/glass) was delivered immediately, in a totally wrong type of glass that you'd enjoy port in. Dessert came out 20 minutes later, with the smallest amount of chocolate, that I wouldn't even consider there being chocolate as part of the dessert, it was just a little doodle of chocolate on the plate. We had basically finished our port wine(which was meant to be paired with the dessert) and just asked the server to return it as the dessert was so underwhelming. The server just stopped and said she'd get a manager, the manager came over and as I started to explain all of this, he just gave me the most confused look, so I realized it wasn't worth continuing my feedback about all that happened. They took the dessert off the tab. Meal ended up being $260, which I understand in a tourist heavy area we live is fairly normal, but you need to create food and experience worthy of those prices. As we walked out the manager just said "bye folks hope you enjoyed your meal" though we just had conversed with him about our issues. If you are going to serve high end food and high end beverages, everyone needs to be trained on how to prepare and serve them. I didn't spend $18 a glass on port for my wife and I, for it to be brought out in a regular glass that doesn't allow it to breathe, or be properly enjoyed with. read more

Tonight we tried a new dessert on their menu which was a unique spin on s'mores. Absolutely enjoyed this dessert. The strawberry goat cheese salad was delicious. The ribs were sweet and spicy. So my initial interaction with Pescado was not the best. I had a hard time even getting a reservation for a bachelorette party of 7. It wasn't till I actually got there in person where I was able to talk to Chad and he was the BEST. He was very nice & understanding and made sure to try and accommodate us despite how busy they were that night. The food/service/ and views did not disappoint. The shareable portions that they have are huge so we had lots of leftovers. We ordered two Cantonese Lobster (shareable) and I believe the other shareable we got was the Steak Tartare. With the three shareables we got, we were planning on splitting between 6 people and it was sooo much food!! I think had we known how big the portion was we wouldn't have gotten as much. Needless to say, the food was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend the Cantonese Lobster!! We also each got an espresso martini which was to die for! Everyone had nothing but good things to say about both the food and drinks! We had such a great time and we were more than pleased with our experience considering Pescado was our top choice of places to eat at in the area. 10 stars if I could! You MUST COME HERE! Pescado is such a lovely restaurant, my husband and I were in the area for 6 nights, and 3 of them were spent having dinner at your lovely restaurant! From the courtyard downstairs with live music and light bites, to the rooftop with its lovely view, everything was excellent. You made our honeymoon even more special than we expected! All 3 nights the food was fantastic, we tried different small plates, deserts, and drinks, and each one was impeccable, If you have food allergies/sensitivities, they are so accommodating and helpful! The rack of lamb, octopus, Cevice, beef tartar & roasted bone marrow, the mushrooms, literally everything was divine. The almond cake was absolutly delightful, so much so that we got it each time for desert, and it was Gluten and dairy free(if you hold the ice cream) cocktails and cocktails are lovely, service is outstanding, views are amazing... honestly you cannot go wrong. The house made chips, fried pork belly, and the duck confit poutine in the court yard were amazing too!!! Pescado is situated at the top of a beautiful view overlooking Rosemary Beach. If you are lucky enough to have a reservation inside, you'll be treated a nice atmosphere, but it can not compete with the outer "rooftop" bar / dining area. Some of the outer seating area may be subject to a lot of sun so depending on the time you are seated, you may be in for a lot of bright light in your face. Most of the seating is covered though for the evenings. We ordered their shrimp and polenta appetizer which was phenomenal. While the plate is small, the flavor is massive as the shrimp are perfectly grilled and seasoned with an equally impressive polenta cake and garnish. Our main course consisted of the Cantonese-style Lobster tail and Yakisoba noodles. Having devoured the excellent shrimp appetizer we looked forward to the main course. While it's presentation was epic, the flavor was surprisingly lacking. Typically, I prefer my lobster to be the star of the dish with a helpful hand of butter and lemon to brighten and support the protein. I was disappointed to find this epic lobster tail tasted more of soy-yaki glaze and tempura batter than lobster at all. The gargantuan 3-lb lobster tail was served on top of a bed of their Yakisoba noodles which were cooked perfectly and tasted great, however the overall flavor composition of the dish between the two components did not compliment each other. Rather, the lobster and yakisoba noodles seemed to inherit each other's heavy, soy-yaki-tempura flavor and made for a rather boring dish that I would not pay $160 for again. We rounded out the evening with a few of their delightful cocktails overlooking a stunning view, mildly disappointed with their arguably signature dish, but happy to experience a unique and interesting place. read more
