She rather she just walked away and eventually walked back with a drink, but she was snappy and rude overall. Most recently, we were seated inside in a cold draft that made the evening uncomfortable, and I regret not speaking up at the time. Additionally, the service on both visits felt intrusive and inattentive--waitstaff repeatedly interrupted conversations mid-sentence, which detracted from the overall dining experience. On a prior visit, my pork chop was overwhelmingly salty. While they did offer to replace it, the follow-up felt pushy rather than gracious. She genuinely enjoyed talking with us, made great conversation, and set the tone for a fantastic visit. Our waitress, Jen, was hands down a 10/10--the best waitress we've ever had! I seriously wish I could clone her. The kitchen was taking a very long time to get our food out, but Jen never let it affect our experience. She took matters into her own hands by bringing us fresh hush puppies while we waited. Even though a food runner was supposed to deliver our meals, she personally brought everything out herself because she cared about making sure we were taken care of. The kitchen delay wasn't her fault, but she handled it with professionalism, kindness, and a smile the entire time. To top it all off, she surprised us with a variety of complimentary desserts to take home because she felt so bad about the wait. That's exceptional customer service! And one more thing... try the gumbo! It was the best I've ever had. Thank you, Jen, for turning what could have been a frustrating wait into such a memorable dining experience. Goatfeathers is lucky to have you!

The Bloody Mary oyster shooters are another must try if you're looking for something unique. We also love coming during happy hour, which is always a great value. One tip: get there early if you can. This place is incredibly popular, especially during beach season, and for good reason. It's always busy, but the lively atmosphere is part of what makes it such a fun place to visit. Parking can be a bit difficult when some of the other stores are still open. They were definitely busy but our server was on it. Food and drinks came out quick. We sat outside and the view was great. They had fans blowing, but it was still pretty muggy. I had the fried shrimp basket. The breading was a little bit thicker than what I would normally like, but delicious nonetheless.

The service was great at first, waiter was sociable, almost too much as we were trying to enjoy our own company and dinner. It became obtrusive after this 3rd time of continuous personal convo. Filet was great, peppercorn sauce was not worth $7.00 from a portion standpoint. Came in a 1oz dish. Mashed potatoes were good, fries were fine. Guest with tuna enjoyed it, pasta was also a hit. Ala Carte sides but not big enough to share. The only reason we did not get dessert as we knew it would be high price and unsharable or small due to perception of other courses. We probably would not return, nor really recommend as a must try.
