My friends and I had the best night tonight at Pescado! It all started out with their amazing host, Chad, welcoming us and helping us get a table even though we didn't have a reservation. He was so kind and attentive! We sat outside on the balcony with the most beautiful view (literally, best table in the restaurant!) and had the best drinks and food! Hannah, our waitress, gave amazing recommendations and was amazing! We were so blown away by how good EVERYTHING was, worth every penny! Great service and food. They have plates of multiple portion sizes, including sharable and tapas. We ordered tapas style, and ate Asian BBQ short ribs, tripletail ceviche, and pork belly. The portion sizes were enough to share and 3 plates were enough between the two of us. Will come back. Also the sunset was very nice from their outdoor seating which is on the top floor, facing the gulf. They open at 4p and the wait time gets increasingly longer as you arrive later. We waited about 2hrs for a table, which they text you when ready, but it didn't matter as we got drinks downstairs at 'the courtyard' at Pescado, and listened to live music by Duncan Crittenden, as well as walked around Rosemary and checked out the stores. read more

After multiple trips to Rosemary Beach we finally got around to trying this place out. The food was by no means bad but it was far from memorable. Slight attitudes from the down stairs hostess, to the upstairs hostess and our waitress was a bit on the bland side of upbeat and positive. I don't get the hype of this place, I understand that it has a view if you're lucky enough to get an outside table but the food is average and way over priced, even for an upscale beach town. The atmosphere is on par with your local deli, there were multiple available tables throughout our entire meal (even though they said they were fully booked), and the deserts were some of the worst I've ever had. I guess we just expected more given the hype and reputation surrounding the place, they certainly seem to have the "influencers" fooled into believing it's top rate but anyone that's well traveled with a refined palate will leave feeling underwhelmed. If you want a quality meal without the artificial hype head over to the Cafe Thirty-A, it's far and away the best the area has to offer . read more

We made reservations for my birthday dinner here. It was beautiful decor and our waiter was extremely friendly. They changed our table when I asked closer to the Christmas tree. It made my day. Our food was grate my hubby had a arugula salad and octopus. I had the steak tartare, that was different I wish it was warmer. We had our filet mignon cooked to perfection , our waiter made sure my food had no dairy in it. Dessert was marvelous a chocolate brownie. Having retired from writing the restaurant reviews for the local newspaper here in South Walton many years ago, I decided to somewhat come out of retirement to post a review here on Yelp. Pescado is a just opened (two nights ago) restaurant in Rosemary Beach and it certainly deserves excellent press. I should say that although I loved Pescado, we are incredibly fortunate to have some excellent restaurants on CR-30A including the truly outstanding Paradis right across the way and others in Rosemary like Havana Cafe at The Pearl, Edward's with their live music and black and white movies on the wall, La Crema with its charming Spanish tapas, Wild Olives and family favorite Cowgirl Kitchen. I could go on and on with great restaurants on CR-30A - like George's and Caliza Pool in Alys Beach (along with the neat little wine bar there - named Neat), the beautiful and delicious Surfing Deer in Seagrove, great Italian at Borago in Grayton and on and on. Not on CR-30A but super close on the very east end and on Hwy 98 you have the wonderful Cuvee 30A in 30Avenue. But for this occasion, it's about Pescado. Perched on the top (fourth) floor of the just completed building (limited number of residences on the other floors with nice pizza joint on the first floor) in Rosemary next to the post office this adult's only (have to be 18 to enter) restaurant oozes sex appeal with its view of the gulf, its well done interior, its inside and outside dining, its music, its food and wine. Chef Ken Duenas, who was a long time chef at one of CR-30A's top restaurants, has been allowed to let his creative prowess cut loose and he fully delivers. It looks good on paper, it looks good on the plate and everything we had on our first visit was excellent to consume. Jeremy Hicks is doing a great job of pulling it altogether as General Manager and Slayde Martin has outdone himself as Beverage Manager. I say that related to the wine list, as I am no spirits expert but we really enjoyed the EnRoute Pinot Noir (from Far Niente/Nickel & Nickel), the Saget Dom Perrierre Sancerre (Sauvignon Blanc), the Rock Angel Rose' from Provence and a few more...all were delicious and well selected by Slayde. We started with the Seafood Salad, which was beautifully presented and really sang with its sesame dressing...then to the Grilled Hamachi Kama (the collar of yellowtail with roasted eggplant and chayote-lime salsa - all pulled together with guanciale - think diced and crispy pork belly)... For the main course we went with the Scallops with Brussel Sprout Kimchi (you've got to like Kimchi - my dining companion does and she loved it). I had duck three ways - pepper crusted breast, leg confit and foie gras - all held together with chorizo oil and blueberry gastrique...outstanding! Folks were fighting over the EnRoute Pinot Noir at this point..all the red wines are served at just the right temperature. You better make those reservations. The place isn't that large, and seats could be at a premium. read more

My friends and I came here for a late dinner and had an amazing time! The waitress made the experience from start to finish. We ordered a couple of drinks, as well as the cheese board, lobster, and two desserts to share. The cheese board came with SO much food! The lobster was good (a little tough), but we could not stop eating the noodles that came with it. The desserts were very good, but nothing I would say is an absolute must. I also had the Beet Salad and Roasted Cauliflower. Wife had Tenderloin which was perfectly cooked and served with Roasted Portobello Mushroom and Fingerling Potatoes. Such a wonderful restaurant to enjoy Sunday brunch! My husband and I came here in hopes of eating good food and watching the USWNT world cup final and Pescado did not disappoint! Los Guidrys Thoughts and Recommendations: - Come early! We walked up to Pescado right at 10AM when they open and there were already a few groups of people waiting to give the host their name! We waited outside about 10 minutes before being able to head up on the elevator. - Only 1 TV. If you care about this just be aware there is just 1 small TV with visibility from the indoor bar only. - Views are beautiful from the indoor bar! I think most people prefer an outdoor table on the patio. But if you're not lucky enough to get one the the indoor bar is the next best thing. You still get views to the ocean, skies and Rosemary town. - Food was phenomenal! My husband and I shared the chicken and waffles, the Pescado Omelette, and a side of bacon and everything was perfect! We loved that they used dark meat for the chicken and waffles and they did not skimp on the ham and cheese for the omelette. - Service was great. The bartender was timely to take our drink and food orders, refill our waters, and check on us in general. Overall we had a great brunch experience here and recommend adding this to your itinerary if you're staying in Rosemary. Hope this helps! read more

We have been to Pescado for dining and a wedding, and the service has been outstanding each and every visit. While waiting for our table last visit, we were afforded the opportunity to have drinks downstairs at The Courtyard. The bartenders and the ambience were both top notch. In town for a proposal dinner with a group reservation. The staff was immediately rude and refused to let us in because we had one person under 18. I understand having a policy, but for the reservation to be made months prior and no mention of a "no 18 or under" policy being mentioned is absurd. In addition they were just rude about the situation and continued to tell us that no restaurant in the area allowed 18 or younger. What started off as an ideal atmospheric experience quickly turned into an experience lacking the quality of service deserved for the price point of the ticket. We tried this place out because the rating seemed to be what we were looking for, along with the roofto view and overall atmosphere of the restaurant. However after ordering two bottles of wine and entrées that exceeded $150 apiece, we waited for over an hour and started being neglected for drinks and service. We finally had to follow up to see what had happened with our food order. The manager and the waitress alike had no answers for us other than "sorry it's taking a little long". Our food came out cold; the lobster which was $200 was like rubber and also cold and the 32 ounce steak ($175) we ordered was cold and rare. When we asked the manager what had happened, they said that the food was served as intended. We are confused at how that could have been the case when they brought out the cast-iron with oven mitts and placed hot pads on the table in preparation of the meal. We were overly patient and sympathetic to the waitress, giving her multiple times to eradicate the situation, however, even when the manager came they acted like they couldn't care less and we ultimately would be just a number to their table count for the night. It was a super unfortunate and disappointing situation for what could have been an overall great night out. We tried to address with the waitress and manager in a calm manner, as we are not the complainers (coming from previous food service experience) and felt like we were continuously lied to and attempted to be deceived as to what actually happened. This USED to be one of our favorite restaurants - I will I could give it NO stars - They must have new management as they used to be appropriate now manager is a jerk , food horrendous - four of us ate for over$1000 and it was disgusting nothing was good - drink was sour and gross- The steak was $180 and shoe leather( think they lied about it being Wagyu), the bolognese was salty and inedible , wait staff nasty , paella used to be served on an 20-22 huge pan not on a 10 -12 inch pan but they are still selling it for $78 as a shared dish but not the same taste and a fourth of the size - Ate there in the spring but it was completely different - very sad The management has an awful attitude with a chip On his shoulder - definitely - there is mo appreciation for your business - read more

Both the service and food are disappointing... Our waiter had terrible breath and a (seemingly) minimal grasp of the wine list. When I asked for his guidance on selecting a dry white wine, he offered no help, saying the one I first inquired about should be fine. Additionally, I found my meal of filet mignon to be bland and uninspired - especially considering the price. I'm more than happy to spend money on a good meal, but this was far from it. We waited for our table downstairs and our cocktail server Sky was amazing, she was so sweet and knowledgeable. They were so pushy to my wife that we ended up leaving the restaurant before ordering anything and walked to some place down the street.
