I was a regular who went in weekly to get cat food and treats. Tonite was the worst customer service experience. I buy a certain size prescribed cat food monthly from same store. Tonite they were out and so I asked clerk and without asking manager or double checking (she is new) said nope that's the only size they carry and I said no I buy the smaller one monthly. She insists so finally calls manager who says the same thing that they only carry the big bag(even though all I buy monthly is the small bag). So he checks stock in back and comes out and again says they only carry that size or there would be a space for the smaller bag. So I walk him over and show him the space. His reaction "oh you must have been lucky because we rarely have that in stock" even though it's always here all the previous times. So I said what bothered me the most was he and the clerk are dismissive of what a regular customer was telling to them. Than he said "well if it's an apology you want than I am sorry ma'am". I reiterated I am not asking for an apology but just don't be dismissive of what your customer is telling you. Than I left and will never return to this store. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the Campbell petsmart. Clerks are always on their cellphone and don't offer help finding things. I had a very disappointing experience at this PetSmart when I simply wanted to learn more about a cat for adoption. The staff were incredibly rude and impatient when I asked a few basic questions. When I approached the manager (male, tall with a long beard), he didn't even give me a chance to explain which cat I was interested in. Instead, he started shaking his head as if I wasn't a good match without asking me a single question. He made me feel unwelcome and as if I was wasting his time, even giving the impression that he wanted to leave while I was still talking. Very presumptive and unprofessional. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. I placed an order online around 10 am. At 10:13 I received the confirmation email. At 2:30pm I called the store and spoke to a very rude gentleman. He stated that they didn't even have the order and was I sure i called the correct store. I confirmed that yes I had called the correct store. We went back an forth and he finally asked me my name and stated "NO" that they did not have my order and had already processed all the orders from the morning. I then asked if I could give him my order number to which he replied "no" we do nothing take order numbers. He repeated multiple times that they did not have my order. I then called customer service who then called him. He accepted the order number from her (imagine that) and proceeded to lie to her stating he never told me they didn't have the order but that it just wasn't ready. Such a liar!!! The customer service rep said she believed me because he was rude to her and used a very rude tone of voice. On their website it states the order will be ready within 2 hrs. When I questioned him on this he stated it would just be ready by the end of the day and watch for the email saying it was ready. Really? That's not what the website states. This man is very rude. When customer service called back to cancel the order for me, she couldn't get his name because he hung up on her. Horrible horrible customer service. read more

I'm so tired of the asinine management at this place. Apparently this store is ALWAYS out of bags. Every single time I visit this store and ask for a bag the cashier turns with a surprised look on their face and say "we're completely out of bags" as if it's a shock. This is the only store in the entire bay area that I visit that is constantly out of bags. Not just at one checkout station but the entire store is "supposedly" always completely out of bags. Which means either management can't do their job right or the cashier's are lazy liars. The service is absolutely dismal. The cashier couldn't read my Bansfield Card and claimed it was invalid even though it wasn't. So she requested that they print me another card. After they did that I had to stand to the side and wait for 15 minutes while not only did they ring up everyone else that was behind me in line but they opened an additional lane and took people instead of me as well as I continued to stand there with a handful of items being treated like a complete jerk. There seems to be a manager-type individual with a long beard who aimlessly struts around the store at what looks like a half assed attempt of management; not really doing much. Instead of playing make believe Why DON'T YOU ORDER SOME EFFING BAGS!!!!! ORDER BAGS!!! YOU KNOW LIKE ALL OTHER STORES???!!! Decided to make a return in store from an online order and arrived on 4/2/23 around 11:25AM. There were TWO lanes opened so we decided to go over to the second lane. The man there said there was only one single line behind the first lane so without any question we walked over to the first lane and patiently waited. The lady in front of us in the first lane got called over to the second lane so we eventually got to the front in the first lane. Okay...? We were a little thrown off because never have we ever had to form a single line behind one lane when BOTH were opened. Mind you, I've been to this PetSmart before. To make matters worse... they gave us so much trouble for the return. Their reasoning? "We're unable to process the return because we do not carry this item in store". The young girl didn't know what to do systematically and the man, Josh, the manager was the most unhelpful person, EVER. Not only was he unhelpful but he started stating policies that wasn't company wide. He told me to contact the online team or to call for a return label because they will not take the return (although I had the receipt and item in hand). At this point, I was FRUSTRATED. I stepped off to the side to call PetSmart's Customer Service over the phone. I was reassured that I can make the return in-store so I went back in line. The customer service representative was still on the phone. The young girl still didn't know what to do and used the walkie-talkie to ask for help from her so called "manager" Josh. I could HEAR him from their communication device. He was livid. He came up aggressively to her register, threw his keys, and used a condescending harsh tone to the young girl. It was completely unnecessary. As a manager, he should have been able to carry himself in a calm manner. He escalated the situation with his own actions. He should not have been a coward and ran away when the employee was already struggling on what to do. And then getting upset when the employee is asking for help. What kind of "manager" is that? The tensions were high and I was super uncomfortable after the "manager" Josh acted out in an unprofessional way. I had the customer service representative still on the phone while all of this was happening. The store eventually wanted to do a no return receipt but we declined since the customer service was already getting us a supervisor on the phone. The customer service representative kept apologizing over and over again for the troubles but took care of us in the end. We ended up filing a CRO under the recommendation of the customer service representative on the phone for the manager's behavior. I will now say that I will AVOID this exact PetSmart. Josh, the "manager", makes his own policies, treats his employees like dirt, and is not helpful at all. I would advise the company, PetSmart, to please take a look into this and review footage from 4/2/23 around 11:25AM. If any employees, current or previous, had any problems with their "manager" Josh, please file a report. His behavior is unacceptable! Corporate should reprimand his role as "manager". I apologize to the young girl at the cash register in lane one. You should NEVER be treated that way, EVER. read more

After New Years, the husband and I just bought a 60 gallon Fish Tank, decked it out with all the accessories and made a home for 21 little fishies (planning to get more as our tank is still cycling). We love our fishies home and I think our little fishies love it too. Just a couple of days ago, we were browsing at PetSmart for more fish supplies. I ended up falling in love with one of the Bearded Dragons we seen in passing. We ended up adopting our new baby reptile, Sharky. We already have a terrarium at home so we just needed to buy some supplies. To sum it up, we have been to PetSmart, Petco and all other Tropical Fish Stores almost on a daily for our new fishies and now our baby reptile. Last night, Jessica, the Assistant Lead Associate let us know that they price match with chewy.com and petsmart.com. It's a surprise that we have gone to PetSmart so much and we missed the sign that advertises it right in front of the store. We are so very grateful for Jessica because, we pet owners do invest a lot of love, time and money on our pets. Not only will we be saving money, but we are 100% loyal to PetSmart in Campbell and probably would only go to Petco if it was our last resort. Thank you so much, Jessica!! Had an absolute just mean experience here. We walk in and this rude sales associate said "you have 1 minute" and moved so we could enter. We said said no problem we just have a return and he stopped in front of us and said "we're not doing returns now". I know this is completely false because I have returned to pet smart before right before closing, there is no designated return time. Anyways, we kindly asked if we could please return this one item and he said no we're not doing returns. It was 6:57pm at this point and he still refused to let us in even though there was still 3 minutes. Should I have come earlier ? yes. I knew there was a chance if we arrived last 7pm we wouldn't get in, but to be turned away strictly because we wanted to return and not buy something before the store is closed is just sick and rude! He proceeded to lock the gate and close the doors before 7pm, i asked him for his name and he replied "YOU DONT NEED MY NAME" and locked the doors. He was an older man with dark greyish long hair in a ponytail. To be treated with such disrespect and lied to because we had a return and didn't want to buy something is just not okay. I am reaching out to the store manager tomorrow in hopes that they will fix this staff member to be nice or at least normal. You can't allow access for purchases but deny for returns! I've placed many orders before and they don't usually ask for for any ID when it comes to pick. Tonight Mike approached my vehicle and immediately asked for my ID. This is the worst place I've ever brought my dog to groom. First time they trimmed his hair down to zero when I asked for a Schnauzer cut. Second time I told them not to repeat the same mistake and they told me to "go somewhere else that will do what you want, we do what's best for your dog here". I just had the most terrific appointment for my dog's grooming! I had been taking him to the OTHER pet store near my house but I wonder if they think I couldn't tell that he still smelled and I could still hear his nails in the floor after his visit there! The Hamilton Ave Petsmart Groomers are terrific! They even washed his face (which he does not enjoy, but it's necessary) and cut his fluffy ears so he actually enjoys being stroked there! We love groomer Danni! She is great with our two dogs and now even grooms our friend's dog. She's a dog whisperer and her dog training background makes me feel secure when leaving my dogs with her. One of our dogs is a huge standard poodle and she makes him look gorgeous. Poodle clips are not easy and not every groomer can do them, but Danni excels at it. I was extremely disappointed with this particular PetSmart' grooming salon. My 2 year old pembroke welsh corgi was scheduled for a bath and brush/nail clipping and he ended up having one of his nails ripped off in the kennel while waiting his turn to be groomed. My dog tends to be fairly anxious and requires patience and time to acclimate to certain environments. All of this was discussed with the grooming receptionist who (hopefully) relayed this info to our assigned groomer: Aliyah. There was a packed room of dogs getting groomed during this time so I believe my dog had to wait awhile for his turn. After leaving him there for about 15-20 minutes I received a call back and immediately knew something was wrong. The groomer said my dog's right nail ripped off while trying to get out of the kennel and that he is bleeding/limping. They sent him over to Banfield and they shaved his nail down to the bone; one could hear his yelps and painful cries from the other side of the store- it was completely heartbreaking. He was sent home with pain medications, a cone around his neck, and antibiotics to reduce the risk for a bone infection. My dog has had multiple grooming sessions at various PetSmarts and NEVER had this happen to him despite his anxiety. This whole fiasco could have been avoided if I just did NOT bring him here. I don't usually type on yelp to make reviews; however, in this case I strongly felt like I had to share this story to advocate for my own dog and warn other dog owners to think twice about sending their dog to this grooming salon. read more

Our family dog has been groomed here a few times in the past. His regular groomer left + she was fabulous. I dropped off our family dog last Friday, only to be called back to check in on him due to his negligent, very rude + unpleasant groomer (named Heather). She cut his ear open. Accidents happen, I get it. BUT, she was very unapologetic + straight up rude. Too nonchalant, which leads me to believe this isn't the first time she's injured an animal under here "care." I changed my original rating to 1 star because no matter how much Marcus tried to fix the situation, the grooming department had to call and be completely rude and unprofessional in the end and ruin all of his efforts. I was waiting for a call to give me an immediate rescheduled appointment for my dog but instead a girl with a lot of attitude named Veronica reached out. She said she was the leader of the grooming salon and that I had to come back in a week. I reminded her of the rudeness and unfairness I received the previous day and she sarcastically said that she was sick and wasn't able to be there to be fair and not rude. I asked her why they are making me wait so long when I was the original customer who they were rude to and bumped out of the appointments queue and she had nothing to say. I cannot believe the ABUSIVE treatment of the Beta fish in this store !!! . The jars are tiny and the fish sit on a dark shelf and they hardly have any air with the lids !!! This PetSmart location will NOT accept used animal habitat/animal habitat items for return. Regardless if: -You have the receipt -It's within the return time (they had a temporary policy where they were not accepting returns due to COVID-19 but that changed two weeks ago). -The products you purchased were faulty I had purchased a 2.5gal fish tank that came with a faulty filter. How did I know it was fault? Because after setting up the whole thing, it would not make the waterfall affect. I then purchased a 10gal aquarium starter kit and put a bit of water in it to make sure there weren't any cracks or leaks. Well, there was a crack on the bottom of the tank. I called the PetSmart on Almaden and they said that PetSmart started accepting returns ago. So, I go to the Campbell location because it was close to an errand, and an associate said they do not accept used animal habitat/animal habitat items UNLESS that are resellable. Needless to say, I called other locations and they said it didn't make sense and that their store accepted returns. I called corporate and a District Leader was supposed to contact me within 24hrs but that didn't happen. I guess the Better Business Bureau is next. This is unfortunate because as a former employee, I know how customer service is supposed to be delivered and resolved. I'll have to take my business to other locations now. read more
