I have taken both my dogs to train with Nicole at this PetSmart. I love her! She is so knowledgeable about how dogs think! She is so patient and willing to answer as many questions as you have. After all, I am the one who needs the training! She teaches in a way that helps me to remember the commands to tell my dogs. Her training style is a positive reward system- we use lots of treats! I called the manager. She returned my call and insulted me by insisting Loki got everything I paid for. She lives in fantasyland. It's obvious he didn't get conditioner, cologne, Sani (his butt hairs are long and uncut). He obviously didn't get a bandana. Not that I care much about the bandana, however it makes it painfully obvious that I did not receive the services I paid for. She's either ignorant or a lier. Every time I come here I'm reminded why I use the Dirty Dog Wash on Main St. I stopped in to get his claws trimmed and ended up with a lecture. At Dirty Dog they go above and beyond. The chicks at this store could care less. Not only are they rude but my dog is scared of them. That tells me a lot because my dog usually prefers women and is scared of men. read more

Amanda was super helpful and spent a lot of time with me and my sons on their Leopard Gecko. She also answered all their questions about the snakes and turtles that they were curious about. We showed up to the store because we needed to get on point with the proper care and feeding for their Gecko. Amanda educated me and helped me educate my sons to create a working care program to do just that. Zommie their Gecko is doing so much better now and is finally getting fatter and healthier. Through learning and changing things with the care of Zoomie my sons have a renewed interest in her and have a greater sense of pride in taking care of a living creature. Amanda explained how important the care of the Gecko is and helped to reinforce what I was trying to help them with. I don't live with my sons and I can't be there everyday to make sure that the Gecko is taken care of properly. Since Amanda has helped us we now have a very happy Gecko and two boys that love taking care of her now. This was two weeks ago and we have been back for crickets. We wanted to show Amanda a before and after picture of Zoomie, however she wasn't there at the time. Each visit to this store has been a pleasant experience. The other employees are friendly and helpful. The store is clean, well maintained and full of great products and happy looking pets of all kinds. UPDATE: Zoomie still doing great and still getting our crickets from this store. Always enjoy going. Workers are so helpful and friendly to both me and my puppy! :) I shop here for all my pet supply needs and have taken the puppy obedience class, as well as used the grooming salon for my goldendoodle. My pup loves all the attention he gets when we come here; the workers know him by name now when we walk into the store. Sign up for a petperks account if you come often, and you'll actually get some great savings! I get his collars and toys on such great discounts either from clearance sales or petperks savings. If I'm searching through the aisles for something, one of the employees always comes to offer to help me find what I'm looking for. I find the service here to be much better than what I've experienced at Petco or even the Petsmart location across from Bella Terra. Even though I live super close to a Petco, I drive the extra few miles to go to this Petsmart and I think it's worth it! read more

The Pet Trainer, Nicole Narita is AMAZING!!!! We have a 9 month old pug, Yoda, who was 8 months and only lived with us for about 2 weeks when he started training. He was definitely a free spirited, hyper and one track mind kind of puppy. Nicole was patient, simple, and very caring with Yoda and needless to say she was able to get Yoda to learn basics within a matter of 3 classes. She truly cares about animals and always uplifting and reassuring. She even showed us how smart our little guy is and his possibilities for trick training. She really answers all questions and if she can't figure them out she tries to research it and come back with answers. I definitely will be coming back for more advanced training with her and only her! PetSmart, you definitely have an asset with your company and I can't stress enough how AMAZING she is. read more

I wish I would have left this review sooner to help many other customers know NOT to visit this petsmart. Unfortunately, it has been about 8 months or so since this incident, but it still haunts me enough to come back this many months later and write a review. I usually always go to the Petsmart on Edinger. It is closer to my house and they have always done a fantastic job and they love my dog (Coal) there. I am constantly getting praised for what a sweetheart he is. And it's true! 2 year olds stick there hands in his mouth and Coal just sits there. Other dogs? No problem, he is a social butterfly. However, this Goldenwest Petsmart tells me the exact opposite. So anyway, I had to book an appointment for Coal at this petsmart because the Edinger one was full and he needed it ASAP. My boyfriend and I dropped Coal off to be groomed, explained what he usually gets done and I even showed her a photo on my phone to explain. She said she understood and the history was all in their system (what length shaver they used, etc). I thought this was so great! So I left Coal there and returned once I got a call 4 hours later. To my utter SHOCK, the woman who groomed my dog started shaming me in the nicest way she possibly could. Saying things like, "My manager wanted me to send him home because he was being so vicious, but I wanted to finish the job", and "He is extremely sensitive, he didn't like when I touched him, he snapped at me every time - that's why this appointment took so long". I was horrified! I couldn't believe my sweet dog would do this. He has never snapped at anyone, this dog is a cuddle monster. She even told me she "waived the special handling fee" for me, and normally they charge extra for mean dogs?! Again, shock. So after 10 minutes of her explaining to me what a terrible dog I have and basically telling me I need to tip her well, they brought Coal out from the back............. MY FLUFFY POMERANIAN HAD BEEN SHAVED. He was SHAVED BALD! I could not believe my eyes. I wanted to cry. I now understood why Coal might have acted this way. She took my double coated dog and shaved him down to his skin!! Who would enjoy this?! I did not ask for her to shave my dog! I even showed her a photo. I was in awe. His coat has never been the same since then and it took months for it to grow back. It grew back unevenly and my puppy's fur has never been as soft as it was before she mutilated him. Long story short is DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. I would consider what she did to Coal some sort of abuse. Shaving a double coated dog is TERRIBLE. It makes their skin more sensitive, more affected by sunlight, and their temperature regulation gets thrown off. A Pomeranian's coat is meant to keep them both cool in the summer and warm in the winter. SHOULDN'T A PROFESSIONAL KNOW THIS? I have never gone back here and never had a bad experience at the Edinger Petsmart. Just a warning for all of my fellow dog owners! read more

I am very disappointed and will not be taking my puppy to the groomers here ever again. He has been going here since he was 9 weeks old. Yesterday he went for grooming and I got a call that the hair on the sides of his back legs were matted and they needed to shave him down. I told them to go ahead not realizing that they were going to take all of his hair off!! I also asked them not to cut his eyelashes and they did. His eyelashes were long and black and I loved them. When I went to pick him up I guess my puppy had given her a hard time and she was kind of rude about the fact that he needed to be socialized. The funny part is that he goes out with other dogs everyday and even to day care. I am taking her advice and we signed up for puppy training, but that's about the only positive from my experience here. read more

We recently attended the six week beginning training class with our dog. I must say that the teacher, Nicole, was the best! She is extremely knowledgeable about dogs, behavior, habits, how they think, etc. We were impressed with how she explained everything, trained us as well as the dogs, and gave us helpful personalized tips on managing our rescue dog, who needs work to get her to behave the way we want her to behave. I made an appointment for grooming at 10am. When I get there 5 minutes early, the guy working the register stops me to pet my dog. Another customer then slips in with her dog and goes to grooming. So, 10 minutes later when she comes out, the grooming person says that because the woman was ahead of me, my dog will have to sit in a kennel until she finishes with the dog that snuck in before me while the other employee was petting my dog. I still don't understand how if there is only person working grooming how they can book more than one appointment at 10am or maybe the other customer didn't have an appointment, but anyways, there are better places for grooming that won't waste your time. read more

Christian in grooming is amazing! he took great care with my Pekingese Mindy and even colored her tips in purple. He was familiar with the breed (which has tons of hair) so he did a classic Pekingese cut on her, tending to all of her matted hair, & made her look like a queen.
