This is the last time to use this grooming location. The first time I had to tell the groomer to loosen the lead around my dogs neck. Then to receive her back with the worst hair cut ever! Her face wasn't properly trimmed and looked as if she wasn't brushed. And just recently I took my other dog there for a simple bath and nail grind. He too was still wet, and hadn't been brushed. It's puzzling how grooming for a short hair dog with no cut could go so wrong. I had to walk around the store for 20 minutes because my groomer wasn't there and no one would check us in. Finally another groomer decided to check us in and two hours later we pick up a wet, bushy dog. After bringing his wetness and fuzzy looks to the groomers attention she took him back to brush him out and dry him some more -something that should of been done already. Through observation and comments the groomers at this location don't seem to have a sense of caring for their clients...the dogs. Please don't subject your pet to such poor service. read more

Associates on the floor are nice and try to be helpful. But the lazy cash register girls were more concerned about the conversation they were having when we came up to pay for our items. Love this location! The store is new and I definitely prefer coming here over the Petco on la brea I normally go to. Parking is not an issue as long as you know where to go! The building structure is a little confusing, as there is a lowes on the lower levels and stores (including petsmart) on the third floor. I normally just park on the lower lowes parking lot (in the structure so my car doesnt get hot) and walk up to the third floor for that extra exercise) Location is super clean! We love this petsmart. The employees are super nice and remembers my dogs. There's almost never any wait times. The place is super clean and stocked. The only negative is the parking which is not petsmart fault. If it's your first time it can be very complicated and might miss the store. read more

I came to the store this store for some dogs treats and while I was there I thought to look at the cat adoptions going on so I did. Went over to the rescue group called Catmandoo mostly all there cats were sick I know cause I work with animals.The cats had green or yellow discharge coming out of their noses and one of the cats have respiratory infection going it couldn't even breathe. If you adopt from this location I would make sure the cats are healthy. read more

We should have read the reviews prior to bringing our pets.... Our dogs weren't groomed as asked. Asked for teddy faces and got 1 with a mullet head and the other.... I'm not sure what she looks like. They do deserve credit for taking the time to make our dogs comfortable on initial contact. One of our dogs gets really scared so her instinct to protect herself is to nip. Since they were slow and patient with her, she didn't nip. The issue is the grooming part. Our dogs have never looked this ugly. Mind you, I think my pets are hella cute. Not right now though and I'll be the first to tell you. One of our dogs was returned to us with multiple razor burns. Makes me so furious and sad because we know that although she nips when she's scared, she behaves extra well in her back and tummy area. They can't actually talk to you and tell you they hurt. Our recommendation if you absolutely have no other option and must take them there, inspect your pet! Don't leave without insuring they are not hurt. We've gone to Petco in Culver City and are never disappointed. Look for Vicky or Lucero. Seriously, best groomers. Our dogs have never been hurt there or returned to us UGLY. Never coming back to this Petsmart again. Now, for unrelated grooming topic. I happened to be there on adoption day. Wow. The people that run the adoption are rude and talk bad about people right in front of them. I'm all for adopting since both of our girls were adopted. I just feel that if you're trying to get your rescues adopted, the last thing you want to do is talk bad about people there. Regardless of their attitude or your feelings towards them.... You are still running a public event and should handle yourself in a professional manner. read more

Took my dog to get groomed couple months ago and I randomly selected Abi. She really took the time to listen to how I wanted my dog to get groomed from the face, body, ears and tail. She showed me the different lengths and was very nice through the whole process. She did such a great job that I took my dog to get groomed by Abi again and once again she did a great job even though I wanted a different type of cut. My dog came out looking great and exactly how I wanted her to look and not a single scratch in sight. Thank you Abi for taking good care of my dog! read more

The team members on the floor are supper friendly and knowledgeable. They've been able to help me win every question I have. The groomers however are not the best but not the worst. They were able to groom my dog without any trouble but left a bald spot on him from the back. He does move a lot and get anxious so I understand that he might have moved but still. * HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE* DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. I had an awful experience with the grooming salon. I had my first appointment with Riley (groomer). When I dropped off my schnauzer I had already bathed him and blow dried him before the appointment. I asked to speak directly to the groomer who would be doing his cut. It was Riley. He was going to get a standard schnauzer cut which would have his legs and skirt stay puffy. Riley said she was not going to bath him again because she didn't want his skin to dry out but would do the schnauzer cut and leave legs and skirt long. She said it would be quick with no bath. 3 hours later I got a call "You can come get Toby but we have to tell you that we shaved all his hair off because the groomer had to go home". I was baffled and went to pick him up. When I got there Riley and the same lady were there as when I dropped him off. I went up to Riley and asked her what happened and that I was told she went home. She directed me to Steve the manager who then offered me another free haircut in the future. I told him I would never be coming back. I asked him who cut my dog if it wasn't the groomer and he said he didn't know and was going to have to watch the tapes. My dog came out with his face untrimmed and a terrible close shave. The skin on his chest is showing and his legs are uneven and patchy. I don't believe a licensed groomer would do this. So the manager left me with telling me he's got to watch the tapes to see who did this because no one's story matches. This had been the worst grooming experience I've ever had My dog is 14 and this has never happened before. read more

This is the nearest petsmart to my home. I have 2 dogs &1 cat and I can basically get everything I need here. The other good thing about this place is they have free parking, which is so convenience. The only thing is I hope they could be more organized at the clothes section. read more

Great location since we're right nearby...they carry a specific brand that my dog needs to eat because he has a sensitive stomach. Price wise they are pretty competitive with other chain stores. I would have given them a five star rating except that often they only have one cashier and the line can get a little backed up. Also they don't carry a lot of made in America toys and snacks. How hard is it to run into PetSmart on your lunch hour and buy some dog food? At this location it is next to impossible. Every freak'n time I go into this store they have moved the dog food around - EVERY TIME. It's like a damn shell game to find the right food. Other PetSmart stores I've been shopping at for a long time NEVER move things around - I know right where to go. THEN, they have 1 poorly trained cashier (not her fault) with a line of 8 people. No one else around in the entire store, no other help, no one monitoring. Between the time I wasted searching for the right dog food and the time I wasted in line (until I left) lunch hour is gone. No thanks! As convenient as this store is location wise there is no point in going back - I'll go to a store farther away but MUCH better managed any day. read more

the adoption events they have here are extremely disheartening. i've worked in shelters and owned kittens for near a decade. tried telling the person running the adoption event that one of their kittens has a pretty nasty respiratory infection. sneezing, green mucus, goopy eyes, snotty face. untreated could lead to some to pretty awful outcomes for that little guy. after telling the person running the event, an older lady, i was met with an extremely abrasive "you're wrong, it's stress you're just incorrect" super rude, and she couldn't have made it more clear that she's worried about the paycheck more than the cats well being. not the first time i've seen petsmart host rescues that bring sick cats. that's how i ended up with one of mine, same circumstances but couldn't sit by so i adopted the kitten and took her straight to the vet. she was severely malnourished and sick with the sinus infection. now she's great because i care. support better rescues and nicer people. do better petsmart and the rude lady running the rescue should kick rocks. read more

I always book my grooming appointments with Genesis. She does a fantastic job grooming my dog. My dog goes in looking like a hot mess, and gets so excited to see Genesis at check-in and then she comes out of the salon in a couple of hours and looks/smells amazing. Genesis never forgets to give my pupper her "Paw-Gress" (super cute) Report Card at the end of each visit and I just love how professionally groomed my baby looks at the end of her Spa day. My daughter's fish just died and she called your store to ask about prices of goldfish. The woman on the other end asked her "what do you think?" And then rudely hung up. Now my daughter is crying because she is convinced that she is stupid. I can't think of any reason someone would have to talk in such a rude manner to a young girl, but I can assure you that I will not be returning to the store. read more

Love this Pet Smart I come here all the time. The only thing I don't like about it is it takes about 20 minutes to get help in Pet care. The only person that seems to help me is this girl named is Jessica, but a couple of times I have gone there when she wasn't working and none was even visible to help me. I had to go to the front twice for someone to help me. So I tend to go there when she is working she is so nice and helpful :-) read more

I am a fan of the store but the groomers suck! My dog was assigned to Jackie, who called and kept saying my 8lb chihuahua was threatening to bite and she would have to charge me for every time she had to try and engage him. I explained that he had been clipped before and was traumatized and they usually groom him in parts as he freaks out and needs a break. That's how Petco and other groomers have done it, but she explained that they did not have time for that. Umm...wow! So much for customer service. I got another call to come get him because he was too scared. Have you heard of treats? Bribe this scary guy! SO I come and pick him up, annoyed since I had literally just dropped him off. And to make matters worse, the lead groomer, I believe her name is Leah tells the guy to go get my dog and warns him that he is a biter. He had not bit anyone and for her to label him?! The guy even laughed when he brought him over since my dog is so small and can't really do much harm, and said "this little dog?!?". Goes without saying I WILL NEVER do business at this PetSmart again. I even transferred to another Banfield since they left such a bad taste in my mouth. Went to a random groomer near my home and sure enough, my dog was groomed. The groomer stated she had to do it in parts because he is very scared. This is by far the best Petsmart I have yet to walk into. i was greeted by every associate with a smile. They looked so happy to have me shopping at their new store. They didnt just point me to the isle I needed but walk me there and answered all of my question. I am so frustrated with this store. Not only do the random reps that are promoting a brand follow you like the Nulu girl did today on Monday June 28th did wondering if I knew my dogs brand of food and kept pushing nulu or Nola idk! I know what my dog eats! Then to top it off I grab a bully stick that is marked 1.99$ as the other 6 bully sticks next to it are in a 1.99 bin! Now I check my receipt and that sad ass bully stick was 6.99!!! Now before anyone tries to HaTe and think I don't know what bin I looked in, let me say this! I buy this shit since I rescued my dog as an infant puppy at barely 4 weeks every month. I know what he likes and what he chews on. I noticed a difference in price but I thought the dry food cost more and went with it. Then to find out it was the weak ass bully stick it made me annoyed. At times I have bought the $30 antlers ect and I ALWAYS buy healthy dog food. I like authority, he digs it and so on! Any way back to the bully stick. I think they do this for the customer that doesn't pay attention when they are used to buying the same thing they buy for their animal over and over. The only difference was the bully stick!
