Thank the heavens above that I was introduce to this place from my co-worker. I love love love breakfast burritos, but I totally hate dry burritos and this place didn't give me one of those. Ok, so to begin, I found parking in the back which is cool because I hate parking my car on the street. I entered through the back and they have a small sitting area for customer which is pretty cozy. Because it's cash only, they do have an ATM inside so don't' freak out. I ordered a bacon burrito with everything and an Apple Juice (my favorite) and they had the Martinellis kind so I already fell in love with this place once I saw that! It's the best brand....anyway, about the burrito, once I got back to work I went in on it and it was delicious and a very nice size. It was packed with everything and the flavor was yummy too. As for the customer service, it's exceptional and everyone seem pretty nice and about business. The entire place is spotless...so spotless you can eat off the floor, but I wouldn't suggest it, lol. I will most definitely be back to try the coffee since I see that is one of their specialties as well an to get another burrito as well. read more

This place had been on my radar for a while now, but just never really wanted a breakfast burrito when I can make my own at home to my liking. Post fasting for lab work, I wanted something hefty. Located on the busy PCH street in Redondo Beach, it's a small place with plenty of parking in the back. I didn't want any coffee, although the smells when I entered the place were heavenly. I got the two meat burrito (ham and bacon). All burritos, regardless of choice, come with hash browns, eggs, salsa and cheese. Not bad, but pretty greasy as I felt it coating my mouth. Maybe I should have asked for the turkey instead. Filling and definitely will keep you full for a while. Whether that's due to the grease or the potatoes, I wasn't sure. I would suggest having tater tots on the side instead of hash browns in the burrito, but that's just me. Anyways, this tasted like typical greasy spoon fare. It's okay and not the worst. One of the best breakfast burritos that you will find in the area. Humongous burrito filled with flavorful ingredients. The hash browns and the eggs are well cooked and tasty. The combination of their morning coffee with the burritos is just heaven. I dont think they have a place to dine-in so it is pretty much 'to-go' only. Nice little window where you can place the order and the service is pretty quick. Has a dedicated parking spot on the backside of the restaurant. After a walk on the Redondo Strand, my girlfriend and I took my best friend's recommendation to check out this joint that at the moment was order from the sidewalk. It looks like they had seats inside and plenty of different drinks to get with your breakfast burrito. I got the bacon which basically comes with eggs, hash browns cheese and salsa. Burritos are OK. No salsa was given. I honestly think people just go to this place so they can post on Instagram they're in Redondo Beach at phannys. The owners still have not opened their dining room. Covid has been over for a while. Also they now make you pick up from the parking lot on the weekends. There's a constant stream of cars backing in and out and a crowd of people standing around waiting for their order to be called (or people eating because the dining room is closed). I gotsta tell ya. I like these guys. Food always on point, stellar service with down to earth people, and now cold brew coffee on draft! Came here initially to test out their breakfast burrito and left happy. All burritos have egg, hash browns and cheese, then you can select a number of other things to add. I like bacon (who doesn't?), so thats what I got and will continue to get. Crispy, fresh, and chopped up in little crunchy bits of flavor. Amazing. Location is off the busy PCH, but they have limited parking in the back. The bathroom is also out back, similar to what you'd expect from a gas station. So just do your business and get out. Was recommended to go by my friend who lived in Manhattan Beach, and it did not disappoint. He mentioned that it's usually a very crowded restaurant, but there was no line on a Saturday morning at 11am. Cash only. You order at the front of the establishment and then head to the back near the parking to wait for your food. No joke it took me only 3 minutes to get two burritos (one ham burrito and 3 meat combo as shown in the pictures). Insanely fast service. Let alone the quality of the food is a really great deal given the price and how popular Phanny's is. I also ordered an iced vanilla latte in the cool, aesthetic "I Feel Like Phanny's" cups, and not only was the drink fire, but also the cups were very tiny and downright fun to drink out of. They accidentally ended up giving me a normal iced coffee plastic cup at first, but they were super accommodating and split my drink into two of the small ones. Super nice and kind service. The breakfast burritos are very good and very popular. I recommend the chorizo, because they use chorizo from an artisanal producer in San Pedro, the Choriman. I prefer it without potatoes, because the hash browns tend to overwhelm everything else. Still, they use classsic shredded hash browns rather than fried potatoes, which is good. My biggest beef is that the default does not include a more authentic red or green salsa. read more

They had run out of lids, but it was so no problem... until my sister accidentally dropped her drink on her car. We went back with photographic evidence that this happened and were going to buy another iced chai for her. A staff member saw us waiting to be helped and asked if we didn't get our food yet, which was heart-warming because it meant he noticed us despite the rush. We explained our situation and he graciously gave us another iced chai. We offered to pay and give a hefty tip for his help, but he insisted on giving it to us for free. Joke's on him, we put that money in the tip jar. Also, the first time I ordered my coffee, the man taking my order gave me a different recommendation. Instead of an iced drip coffee, he suggested I get the cold brew instead. I'm glad I did, because it was a nice and cool, chocolatey coffee perfect for a hot day. And of course, the food is beyond amazing and reasonably priced. A breakfast burrito the size of a swaddled baby for only $8? Sign me the heck up. The coffees are also high-quality. Phanny's is our go to breakfast burrito and coffee spot in the South Bay. They have a really cute neon light sign that says - "In Burrito, We Trust" and outside of the restaurant, there is a stand that says - "Good Coffee Here." In sum, those two are factual statements, not bolstering advertisement. Breakfast Burritos - the burrito is really yummy. I usually get the sausage and eggs one instead of sausage and bacon because the bacon can be a bit greasy sometimes and overtake the savoring flavor of everything else. The burrito comes with hush brown, so if you are a fan of hush brown, you are in for a treat! Oh and also, they have good salsa to go along with the burrito, so definitely ask for a side of salsa. Coffee - I am a coffee addict (blame on my profession), and cannot live a day without a cup of bitterness. When we first started going to Phanny's on the weekend, I usually would just get a cup of coffee since Phanny's serve Stumptown coffee. However, one time, after a recommendation from a trusted source, I tried the horchata latte... and never ordered another cup of coffee at Phanny's again. Now, whenever I am at Phanny's, it is always horchata latte to go with my breakfast burrito. Please be mindful, the horchatta latte is very popular that if you don't come here before noon or 1 pm (depends on the day you visit), it will run out! They also have other interesting flavors for latte, such as matchata latte, which is matcha (green tea powder) + horchata, and I am planning to try matchata latte this weekend and will let you know how it goes in a short review on the soon-to-post latte picture this weekend. The people working at Phanny's are very nice. It is a mom and pop burrito shop, so everyone there are helpful and attentive to all your requests such as refills, extra salsa, and etc. The only thing I did not like is the fact that it is a cash-only place with ATM available inside of the restaurant. The ATM charges a $1.50 service charge on top of what your bank charges you. We couldn't stop by Phanny's for our breakfast burritos cravings a few times due to the fact we did not have cash. Best breakfast burritos in the Southbay. For me the ratio of egg, potato's, meats, and salsa is a huge deciding factor of what makes a good breakfast burrito. People will probably fight me on this but I don't think size matters as much as quality. I've had bigger breakfast burritos in the past but doesn't come close to Phannys. Their burgers and fries are also very classic. Not amazing but does the job. They've also added some nitro brew which is a nice touch.
