I've probably driven past this place a million times and told myself I was going to on in and try a Philly. Well today was that day! I bought a large fry and South Philly. First off, the fries were AMAZING. Reminded me of McDonald's fries but crispier. The roll the Philly came out was super soft and fresh and the roll was loaded with provolone which I loved. I will definitely be coming back to try something else, maybe a burger?

**** Review 158 **** This place might be new to St. Pete, but the neighborhood has made it their own. The restaurant is small, but has some outside seating. The menu is extensive, and they have beer on tap. The staff is friendly, and service is fast. The cheesesteaks are long, with a good flavor. It could use a little more meat, but you can get fries for an additional $2. They do slice their own beef everyday, and make everything fresh.

The Violet Stone and Delco's Original are still the only places to go to in Tampa Bay if you want a Philly Cheesesteak. Little Philly is just that. Little bread, little meat, little toppings, not much food there. I tried the burger as well. Unfortunately, I can make better burgers from CostCo. The flavor was alright, but pretty plain and small once again. 3% charge for using credit card.

I was really in the mood for a Philly cheesesteak. I remember I heard a rumor about a new sub shop in town... but I had to Google it to remember the name and find out where it was. Let me introduce you to Little Philly on Central Avenue. So I'll start out with the good first... It's a very cute restaurant. The fact the restaurant barely has a front door and is open to the street, I was pleasantly surprised how clean and inviting the restaurant was. It even has a nice restroom. The service is a little odd with only a single register in the back corner. There are chairs you can sit both outside and in the front of the restaurant... But there's absolutely no table service. You have to order from the small iPad. Now for the bad... The food. Was it bad... No. Was it good... Not really. First of all, the menu is a little confusing. I just wanted a Philly cheesesteak. It's hard to even figure out what a regular Philly cheesesteak is with all the other weird names and odd descriptions on the menu. I think I picked the right one... But when I tell you it was salty -- It was salty! WAY TOO SALTY. I know flavor equals salt... But, this was like dumping a salt packet in your mouth. Not enjoyable. Maybe I got a salty batch of Philly cheesesteak... I'll give the restaurant another shot someday. But for now... I'd have to say skip it.

I stopped in on a Thursday night for takeout and I'm impressed! I got the Philly cheesesteak with Wiz, onions, and mushrooms and a side of fries. It was packaged neatly, the sandwich didn't explode when I unwrapped it, and the fries were in a little box so they didn't get crushed. The steak was all juicy and tender, no gristly bits which is awesome. Everything was delicious, I will definitely be going back!

***Update: Second visit to Little Philly did not disappoint. Ordered the classic Philly and the Chicken Cutlet Sandwich. Bread is very fresh as is the chicken and ribeye. Will be back. Word on the street is they are working on a late night menu for Tap House and passerbys for after hours. Just tried Little Philly for a good lunch spot. Great selection on the menu including Ribeye cheesesteaks, chicken (fresh) with various cheese choices. Loved the provolone, lettuce, tomato and grilled onions on my Chicken Cheese Philly. Hoagie rolls are super fresh - will definitely be back soon! **Only downside is the service was a little slow, but to be expected for the first month getting all the kinks out.**

Yes! Amazing Philly's, crisp thin cut fries, and fast service! Great soft drink selections! Don't miss out!

I enjoyed the vibes. I got a Cheesesteak with peppers, mushrooms, and whiz. The cheesesteak was huge and stuffed full of meat. My friend got the chickencheese with a root beer and equally liked it. This will be my go to cheesesteak place for sure. Menu is extensive. Service was good and food came out relatively quickly.

Fries are amazing ...sandwich was good but not worth the amount of meat they give you for the price 1st pic is from Little Philly...Second, two pictures are from big Jim Tavern and tap... yes the meat is Ribeye! Same price plus the fries come with it!

We arrived at 5:30 and it was packed, but a table opened for us within two minutes. The ambiance was awesome, with each table having its own miniTV! Guests didn't have to choose between watching Wimbledon or the World Cup (or anything else they chose). Such a clever idea and probably great for entertaining kids, too. The server was prompt and friendly, and we got our drinks and app ordered immediately. We split the corn dog as an appetizer (felt right for 4th of July), and my husband declared it was one of the best he ever had. A great ratio of the sweet fried dough and salty hot dog. Definitely a reasonable portion to split as an appetizer and still have room for an entree. We got the tomato and corn salad as a side, which was a nice palate cleanser. I got the bacon cheeseburger (sub a pretzel bun, which you can absolutely do) and my husband got the Van Helsing. Both were excellent. He got regular fries and I got sweet potato fries and a side salad, also fantastic. My meal was exactly what I wanted - a classically delicious cheeseburger (I removed the bacon and put it on my side salad, which I highly recommend). My husband's had perfectly cooked garlic cloves and a nice zest with the jalapeños. They also had a great tap list to go wash everything down! We left stuffed but not feeling like we were going to die. It was a wonderful experience for start to finish and we'll be back!

We've been here several times for dinner, but they just keep getting better and better. It's the cutest cozsey little place right on central and the service is always on point. Most recently, my husband and I came for dinner. We started with the burrata and plum special as well as the tuna tartare for appetizers. When I tell you I will dream about the burrata appetizer. It was that good. The tuna was delicious as well and we loved the shrimp chips and how they were shaped like little tacos to make your own tuna tacos! For dinner, I got the branzino and my husband got the cheeseburger with truffle fries. Both entrees were incredible. No notes. Then we got three desserts...we had the lemon tart and the donut bread pudding while at the restaurant and we got a chocolate cake to go. All of the desserts were delicious. However, the donut bread pudding exceeded any expectations I had for that dessert when I ordered it. I legitimately am considering coming back next weekend just for the bread pudding.

The staff was incredibly welcoming from the moment I walked in. Since it was my first visit, they took the time to explain the menu and recommend some of their favorites. After hearing about it, I decided to try The Black Pearl burger with a side of fries. The Black Pearl is perfect if you enjoy mushrooms on your burger. Every bite was juicy, flavorful, and satisfying without being overly heavy. The combination of flavors worked really well together, and I can definitely see why it's one of their signature burgers. The fries were thick, hot, and paired nicely with the meal. The restaurant itself was clean, had a great atmosphere, and made for a fun late-night stop. While I really enjoyed my meal, it didn't quite reach that unforgettable level that earns a 9 or 10 from me. It was a solid burger, great customer service, and an enjoyable experience overall. Overall Rating: 7/10. Would I come back? Absolutely. There's still plenty on the menu I'd like to try, and I always believe every restaurant deserves more than one visit.
