Not gonna lie, pretty damn delicious. Wouldn't say it's the most authentic Philly Cheesesteak in the world, but pretty good. I got the Grand Philly Cheesesteak which comes with mushrooms, sweet peppers, cheese, and of course; steak. The peppers are a little tangy and sweet kind of like jalapenos, which I loved! It's a little spicy so if you have a ridiculous intolerance for spicy foods, watch out!! I got the smallest size, which was pretty small: pretty sure I could have eaten the biggest size. Consistently good! But maybe I'm biased because really...what else can I compare it to? The cheese steaks come in 3 diff sizes. 5'' 7'' and 10'' if I recall correctly. The bigger the cheese steak, the pricier it gets. They have a frequent buyer card so be sure to get yours stamped every time you go here. I've only had their #1 which is the basic. Haven't tried their sandwiches yet but definitely will. I've only had their side dishes because of time constraints. However, their sides are pretty good. I order the bacon cheese fries and a drink. The fries are more wedges instead of the the slimmer fries from fast food joints. The dump cheese and bacon all over it. seriously, it's just ridiculous. I like it. I think it's just regular can cheese but it still good. Other than that, it's a nice little spot in a strip mall. Dining area isn't too big, but I don't think they ever really get super packed so there's probably always a place to sit. I truly love this place. I have gone to the restaurant once before, but I normally visit them at the Farmers Market on Friday. I love their Philly Cheesesteak. It is always seasoned and the peppers they put on the sandwich helps to intensify the flavors. When you have a thing for cheesesteak sandwiches, it's hard to pass by any place that sells them. Usually I walk away from most shops wondering why they bother adverising. Reasons I like this place: 1. I hate crowds. 2. I am not made of money. 3. Their phillies are better than the $11 one I ate at my buddies shop last week. 4. Their fries are not the pansy shredded fries like In 'N Out's. I hate those with a passion. Love the burgers, hate the fries. This place is legit. Food is bomb. I really like the number 11 or the number 12, as I am a fan of bacon. The curly fries they have are really good too! I've been here a couple times and the only thing is it just takes a little while to get your food, but it makes sense because it's a Philly cheese steak. 5 stars! We lived in Philadelphia for 20 years and grew to love authentic Philadelphia cheese steak and chicken cheese steaks. Well, we have never found a Phillie Steak restaurant outside of Philadelphia that satisfies. Until this gem of a Cheese Steak restaurant opened several months ago (2009). Their bread is Shipped in fresh from Phillie, authentic Amoroso bread. The onions, meat, peppers, cheese, mushrooms, marinara, and other options are as close to Phillie as you can get. I can't remember which I preferred when I was in Philly, but outside of Philly this is absolutely one the top 2 I have ever had. I'm originally from the Bay Area 20 minutes from Oakland and rather drive there to Mills Hoagie than go back to this place. I just was not impressed at all. The cheesesteak is ok, the fries are actually pretty decent. For that experience alone, I would give a 3 star review (A-OK), but then I made the mistake of trying the lumpia. I shouldn't have expected good Filipino food from a cheesesteak place, but I thought surely if they're trying to introduce or serve a food not really in line with their theme, it must be pretty good. It wasnt. Wasn't is the nicest way I can say terrible. The inside which seemed to lack any sorce of meat was pureed so mushy that it was like a dog terd consistancy wrapped in a lumpia wrapper. Oh, it tasted that way too. Stay away from the lumpia and I'm guessing anything else not in line with their theme. If you're looking for cheesesteak only, you're probably safe. The main reason I'm only going 2 stars is the service. I saw a review of this place in the paper and it sounded good. I happened to be in the area at lunch time so I stopped by. Just FYI if you're from out of town: this area has been steadily declining for years now. Although there are lots of new buildings, the neighborhoods nearby are not the best in Stockton. That being said, I did not feel unsafe at any time during the daytime. The fries (steak style - not my favorite) were crisp and hot, but had a bit of an oil taste. I only ate a few. The steak, however, was very good. I got just the regular 7" (they have many variations). The regular was like an East Coast steak - just meat, onions and cheese with a perfectly toasted bun. The reason for 2 instead of 3 stars is that the guy behind the counter barely looked up when I arrived. Went today for lunch and gave my order. The cashier then tells me that they do not accept debit cards without a chip! And was not ver friendly, sort of sarcastic! I have been going there for a while and they always take my card like that. I do not want a chip and thats my preference but to reject a loyal customer and not even ask for my ID to show its my card.. I don't get it but wasted my lunch time. I will no longer be a customer.
