Popped in for breakfast and checked out their 'dry' noodles (bone broth on the side). Delicious, high protein, low fat. Don't forget to take the bone out of the bowl to get to the meat! Parking tight but I snagged a spot close by!

It's been quite awhile since my last review but our visits here have tailed off after our daughter's graduation. Still worth the drive to Long Beach to get our fill of very good Cambodian food that I've yet to find up north. Parking was still a challenge and I dropped the family in front of the restaurant first so they can join the waitlist. This time I could only find a spot a few blocks away but by the time I walked back to the restaurant, the family got seated. The menu still had the same great options and prices but starting June 1st prices will be increasing. Definitely understandable in this inflationary environment. My favorite every time has been the loat cha with chicken such that the family knows never to ask what am I getting. We've tried the rest of the menu but the family has standardized on their noodle soups or rice porridge bowls. You can count on lots of ingredients, choices of noodles and rich tasting broths. The cha quai (bread stick) must also be ordered as the perfect pairing for dipping. We also ordered the nom sa-kieu (like a fried meat empananda) again and will continue. We ended our meal with a round of iced coffees for the table, strong and delicious. Not bitter at all. Hopefully we'll be back sooner than later.

Came here on a Saturday morning right before lunch time and we definitely beat the lunch hour rush. They have limited street parking so I would definitely circle around to find some street parking. They have an ipad outside to sign up if it starts to get busy. We ordered the pork noodle (you have the option to do it wet or dry-we chose dry) and the beef noodle soup. The dry noodles come with a side soup as well. My husband really liked the dry noodles since it was well seasoned. The beef noodle soup (with combo noodle types) was good as well. The soup seems very clean and rich with flavor. I would prefer to have some sort of pickled serrano peppers though to give it a citrus and spicy taste to balance out the savory soup. We also got some fried donuts which paired well with the soup. Very quick service and the food came out quick. Definitely a mom and pop shop but with a good amount of indoor seating as well.

Holy moly! My friend and I were craving a savory hot noodle soup breakfast and we stumbled upon this place, and I was blown away. INCREDIBLE dishes - we got the dry noodle dish which came with a bone broth on the side, and Mo's special porridge with the donut. I need to have this again. Plenty of self-service sauces/condiments on the side- traditional Asian eating. It was busy but service was reasonable. The staff were friendly in helping us choose what to order. It was such a nice time. Plenty of street parking around. It's cozy and traditional, what more can you ask for?

When you walk in, it instantly smells amazing. Like actually so good it makes you even more excited to eat. We were seated immediately, but I know this place usually has a long wait. We came around 11 am and definitely beat the rush. They also have an online waitlist, which is nice. Parking is a little tough since it's street parking and the area can get pretty busy with traffic. The food was sooo good. I got the house special with the soup on the side, and the soup was incredible. I literally could not stop drinking it. So flavorful and comforting. For the noodles, I chose the thick egg noodles and the texture was perfect. The seasoning was on point too. They also have all these extra sauces at the table and they make everything even better. I loved adding the vinegar with peppers, it gave such a good kick. Overall, I can totally see why this place is so popular. Definitely worth coming early for!!!! I cant wait to come again and trying something else.

The broth in the beef and meatball noodle dish was so authentic. They offer you a few types of noodles that you can get in the soup like the thick noodles or small rice noodles without an extra charge. I got the big rice noodle and it paired well with the soup. The me-ka-tang was also very saucy and flavorful. And the bread sticks were hot and fresh. It does get really busy in this restaurant so try to join the waitlist earlier in advance!

This is a Long Beach institution for sure. It is the pathway into Cambodian culture for people visiting Long Beach and an important spot to patronize if you live here. Phnom Penh, named after the capital of Cambodia, is a Khmer-owned noodle soup shop in the heart of Little Cambodia, Long Beach. I prefer to get my noodles dry, which then come with a side bowl of soup and a huge bone to gnaw on. The broth is just so good I love to be able to enjoy it on its own. You need to order the chinese donut so you can rip pieces of it to soak in your broth. I also love all of the accoutrements on the side, the pickled peppers and chili paste. You can also ask for a side of satay, which is a chili oil that elevates the spice of their noodles in the perfect way. I always get a Thai Tea/Vietnamese Coffee to complement the meal as well. They always sell some pastries like sweet fry bread that are good to take home and enjoy later.  I highly recommend supporting your local, family owned businesses, especially ones that are essential to making cultural neighborhoods cultural neighborhoods.

Food- DELICIOUS! I got the number 3 which is their beef & beef meatball kathiew and it just like how yeay would make it! The broth is to perfection, beef is soft, and flavorful! Service- faster, friendly, and efficient! Ambiance- from the outside it looks small inside, but when you go inside it's very spacious! It feels very homey

My first time trying Cambodian food and I had to stop by this place everyone's been recommending. I did take out and called 15 minutes before arriving and it was perfect timing. I got #1 The House Special and #16 The Loat Cha Noodles. The house special broth was quite good and I liked the toppings it came with. The pork was a little too tough for my liking and I wish it came with a bit more because the dish was overwhelming noodle LOL. The #16 was pretty good and portion was a good size! Definitely get the Chinese donut on the side too!

    20. Pork Rice Porridge (House Special)

Came here before 9 AM and luckily beat the rush- no wait at all. I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I ordered the #20) Pork Rice Porridge (House Special) Congee, and it was exactly what I needed. It's hard to find places that prepare it traditionally with liver, and they did it perfectly. Because we dined in, our other dishes came with a side of broth and bone. The broth was incredibly clear and flavorful. it really hit the spot! The staff were friendly, and the interior is nice and clean. Great spot in Long Beach for comfort food.

Was craving noodle soup so we decided to come here. Parking is scarce and it's all street parking so just be prepared lol this place is a little hole in the wall and every table was filled when we got there. We put our name down on the yelp waitlist ahead of time tho and was able to get seated by the time we got there. The soup was sooo good and hearty, everything tastes like it's homemade which is what I enjoyed about this spot.

So many great things about this place, definitely lived up to the hype. You can definitely smell the delicious aroma as soon as you walk in. The food is authentic as you can get. The best place for Cambodian food. The portion is huge, high quality ingredients. The #1 Special full of flavor. Generous amount of meats. The rice noodles are perfectly cooked. Always get the iced coffee paired with the donut sticks. As usually dip it in the broth to soak up the flavor. Welcoming and efficient Service. And the price is affordable. My only issue is that it is street parking only.

Do they got a table for 20 ? Heard that this place was good

Space is limited. Depending on table availability, they'll try to seat your party close to each other but in separate tables.

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / June 8, 2023

When I went there last month, I did not see any outdoor sitting at all

    Do they deliver?

They sure do! They do deliveries through UberEats and other services as well.

    Yes.

    Yes.

Hello, what type of broth is used for the noodle soups? Interested in trying the shrimp or chicken noodle soup but I don't eat pork.

    Does the soup have MSG?

    Yes, but very light.

Does anyone know What's fit bow?

Parking is a bit of a game of chance thanks to the tiny lot, so plan accordingly. Once you're inside though, the restaurant is super clean, modern, and the service is fast and attentive. We started with the papaya salad. It was just okay--I'm still trying to figure out why there was a blanket of romaine lettuce casually lounging on top. I ordered medium spice, which turned out to be "medium if you breathe fire for fun." The papaya was also a little more raw than I personally like. The tom kha soup was decent, but the real MVP was the drunken noodles with beef. Those noodles were absolutely swimming in savory goodness and perfectly soft. I would've happily ordered a second plate and called it "dessert." Overall, I'd definitely come back--mostly because those drunken noodles are already living rent-free in my head.

My family and I were heading to the Aquarium of the Pacific and wanted to find a good dinner spot…read morenearby afterward. I came across this place on TikTok because of their famous Thai tea popsicle, so naturally I had high hopes. First off, we got incredibly lucky with parking. I can definitely see how parking could be a nightmare since the lot is tiny, so consider finding a spot part of the dining experience. When we arrived, the inside was cute and seemed clean. We were seated outside, which also looked nice at first glance, but I noticed quite a few spider webs around the windows. My boyfriend even felt webs brushing against his arm while we were sitting there, which wasn't exactly the extra ambiance we were expecting. We ordered quite a bit: spicy Pad Thai, Bang Bang Shrimp, Pad See Ew, mango sticky rice, and of course the Thai tea with the popsicle. I'll give credit where it's due. The Bang Bang Shrimp was easily the best thing we ordered and was absolutely delicious. The Thai tea popsicle also lived up to the TikTok hype, although the actual Thai tea itself was on the sweeter side. If you love sugar, you'll probably enjoy it. My biggest complaint with the food was the spicy Pad Thai. The flavor was great, but it came with what felt like a whole chicken farm and a cameo appearance from the noodles. I ordered Pad Thai, not chicken with noodle garnish. The Pad See Ew was also noticeably salty. Now you're probably wondering why I'm giving this place a low rating if most of the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

So, I found this S T Noodle Bar near by and decided to give it a try. I kinda know what there guys like to eat, so I just ordered a bunch of food. The only request from anybody was for Pad Thai, the most common dish at all Thai restaurants. I GPS my way over and order the food. I was Khao Soy on the menu and I don't see that at too many Thai places that I've been to, so I got an order of that with chicken. Of course, an order of Pad Thai, 2 orders since I have 5 hungry people to feed. Also, I ordered the Thai coconut soup, I think it's called Tom Kha with chicken. One more noodles dish was the Drunken Noodles, it's kinda like Chinese Chow Fun, but has a more spicy flavor and basil in it. The food was all pack and bagged for me to take back to the hotel. We used my room since I have a bigger room. We had plates and set ups for all five of us and we re-plated the food on the serving plates that came with the room. All the food was really tasty and everybody was happy not to have to leave the hotel. I heard compliments on the Pad Thai and the Coconut soup. It's the kind of spot where you can sit down, unwind, and really enjoy your food. I ordered the brisket pho to go and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was incredibly tender, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. It paired so well with the rich, savory broth and fresh ingredients. Every bite was warm and satisfying, true comfort food done right. The portions were generous, the service was fast, the quality was great, and the overall experience was wonderful. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Tucked away in a small older strip mall, this is an order at the counter type of place (also have one cashier as well). I ordered the veggie pho and my BFF ordered the rare brisket pho. Both were tasty and the portions were huge for the regular size (don't order the large unless you are sharing). No fountain drinks are available as everything is canned or bottled. You can get bottled water for 1.00; however, water with ice and cups is provided gratis. Overall, a great place just not as authentic as some other Viatnamese restaurants but I still enjoyed it.

Long overdue journal about this joint! Came to LBC's Cambodian new year festival at the community…read morecollege and had such a great time seeing all the locals and culture. We've never been before and it was nice. We really wanted to feast it up at the stalls but the lines were so long and it was so hot. Thankfully we found this amazing gem! This place is strictly CASH ONLY. So please come prepared. We came and it was a full mad house. Lines and parking was full I knew that's when we were going to get a great meal. Came with my mom and we DEF ordered more food than we can take on. My mom hasn't had Cambodian food in a while so we def made people wonder why we ordered so much lol Food was so savory and delicious. Seating is limited hopefully they can expand. I think they deserve it as a lot of people raved about their dishes. Service was friendly as well and short staffed due to the holiday. All patrons were really understanding of that. I would def come back again or wishes I wasn't so far so I can DoorDash this!

The iced coffee was solid. The bad: The women who work here were a lot less friendly. The tables were so close to one another that we couldn't sit across from one another. Food also took an incredibly long time to come out even though we only ordered two dishes--student noodles and beef skewers. We also had to wave down a server just to follow up on the iced coffee that I ordered, especially since this was already after the food had finally arrived. Lastly, while it was good that they had their own parking lot, exiting through the almost too narrow alley was incredibly challenging in either direction. All in all, still remain torn about returning.

We ordered the Crying Tiger, fried chicken wings with curry dip and roti, and papaya salad, and every dish was outstanding. The Crying Tiger was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and paired perfectly with the rich, flavorful curry dip and warm, flaky roti. The papaya salad was fresh, crunchy, and had just the right balance of sweet, sour, spicy, and savory flavors. The service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and I can absolutely see why this place is always busy. Everything was delicious, and I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu. Highly recommend! I ordered for pick up, fast and convenient.

The crying tiger ribeye was also delicious, although it was cooked a bit unevenly, ranging from medium-rare to well done. The khao soi was another highlight with tender ribeye, a rich curry broth, and a great mix of crunchy and soft noodles. Everything we ordered was excellent, and I'd definitely come back to work my way through more of the menu.
