It's not my first time. Before when they use to have their buisness at the food court I would come support. Today was the last day nasty attitude. Also I ordered a speciality drink where they have to press the sugar cane I witness them filling the other half with water and soo much ice. The restaurant was very welcoming, clean, modern, and had an authentic atmosphere to it. The staff constantly checked on us, from refilling our water to asking if we needed anything to making jokes (great energy). The pho was delicious, great both and good quality meat. The noodle plate was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We also ordered the sugar cane drink on the side and it was well balanced. I had the rare beef pho, soup was very hot but no special flavor. They charge $1.50 for fresh noodle which other pho places don't. The beef was not rare and can tell not great quality meat. Hubby had the shaken beef noodle. Smaller portion than expected, he said it's ok. It's convenient, clean but not my preferred pho places. read more

Not bad mall pho. Located inside the mall but they also have outdoor seating making it seem like it's a separate restaurant. Limited menu for those who want chicken instead of beef. We had a hard time finding something the kids would like given we were hoping they could sub the beef with chicken- it was a no go. We opted for the pho with fried chicken (Cornish hen). We wanted neither chicken soup or chicken breast (non fried) but they didn't have. The Cornish hen was actually super tasty! Portions were large but corresponded with the pricing. Awesome delicious pho! Currently, our main pho place. I like how the owner is there everytime we've been there. She's friendly and makes sure things run smoothly and food is top quality. We prefer the nice outdoor seating since it's more spacious. Customer service is also top notch here! It's rather new so hopefully more people will come and check it out. Also, it's located in the Oakridge mall so we usually shop first, then go eat here afterwards. read more

Finally an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in South Bay so I don't have to drive to Evergreen area! Located in the Oakridge Mall & across from 99 Ranch, Pho 408 takes over the former Superdish restaurant with improved interior and added spacious & beautiful outdoor dining area. We tried Special Pho, Pho with Rib, beefball pho, Banh Xeo (crispy egg cake), and pork skewer vermicelli plate (DIY rolls) and they all hit the spot! My mom especially loves how the pho soup is hot & not lukewarm like most other pho places. Their drink also hit the spot & on-par with specialty Vietnamese coffee stores. I ordered the Eggspresso (Vietnamese coffee w. egg crème) and it's was SO good! I was excited to see a pho place in Oakridge Mall and so convenient after shopping in the mall. I decided to try this place with some friends and I was disappointed. So...I ordered the pho with meatballs with fresh noodles and the pho was a bit sweet and I think they added too much msg! To top it off, my soup was murky and I don't think they strained the fresh noodles thoroughly to make my broth clear enough to see the broth. My friend ordered the pho without the fresh noodles and had the regular thin noodles however his broth was not murky but sweet and msg was an overkill. We ordered the shaking beef with noodles and the beef lacked of flavors. With our experience of authentic Vietnamese dishes, it wasn't to our liking. If you want pho that's nearby in this area go to Pho Now located near Tastea on W. Capitol Expwy and it's way much better. read more

In Pho 408, I thought the pho was pretty good, but only a tiny bit greasy. But my favorite food was the chicken. It tasted like food heaven, glazed with honey and very sweet. The service was not so good, though. The person who served us and "welcomed" us weren't very welcoming and didn't even welcome us. But I also loved the ambiance. There were decorations everywhere, and I loved the picture with the storks in it. When it comes to restraunts, decorations are in my dream place. read more

The food is amazing and so convenient at this location inside Oakridge mall! We had the pho and the broth was really delicious. I loved the banh xeo, it was very tasty and as it was served on a skillet, it stayed crispy the entire meal. The customer service was impeccable. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Got take out. Very little meat compared to other pho places. Broth had a strong flavor of five spice maybe, not my favorite.

Overall I'm excited for this new Pho restaurant to open so close to Almaden. I'd say their pho is very good with the right type of tender filet mignon beef. To get similar quality of meat & broth you'd have to drive to the east side which is not convenient at all. The only thing I'd say they need improvement is the size of the bowl, it's a tad bit small. We also tried the fried pancake and appreciated the presentation & veggies all tasted great but they need to reduce the amount of oil on the pan. It was a bit much and overkill with too much grease. The donut with cream dessert was very tasty, not too sweet perfect flavor but the donut was also a bit small like miniature size. The drinks we enjoyed were pennywort with grass jelly and the sugercane (they also have the sugarcane with kumquat but it's not on the menu). Both drinks came in large sizes and were not overly sweet so they tasted refreshing. Love the outside seating nice and shaded, loved the customer service very friendly and helpful. Love the ambience and cleanliness. Overall we will be coming back regularly and appreciate having a great Vietnamese restaurant so close by. I'd say they're the best in this area, and we are pho snobs. Just increase the pho bowl size a little bigger and they will have an absolute winner! read more

I came here for the Pho but it was not it. The broth here is decent (a typical commercial pho taste that quickly made for business) , you can find it at any other places. I can just tell that the meat here is frozen and was not fresh. I also tried the shaken beef combo, I realized that they used the pho's rib for the beef portion not even a ribeye or any other cuts. Two stars for the store's interior also it is next to 99 Ranch and mall entrance if you need to do shopping or groceries. read more
