I went here with my father for an afternoon brunch, it was crowded but they move people very quickly, i order pho dacbiet ad my dad order pho ga. They're both pretty good and it was fast too. My dad like the atmosphere and the way the waiter and the waitress taking our order, the time the order finished we just have to wait for maybe onother 10 minutes our order is out. Now, to be fair, the reason why I went here was that Vy was taking me to another pho restaurant, but it was no longer in business and this was the first pho restaurant that we saw that didn't scare us. But it was a good choice. First off, I am from Nor Cal. And as much as I love Nor Cal, pho in Nor Cal can't compare to pho in So Cal. The reason why I'm giving this palce 4 stars is the fact that this place gave lots of MEAT!!! If I'm going to order the Xe Lua, or the Dac Biet, or whatever you call as your biggest bowl, I better have more meat than the rest of your other pho bowls. Second, this place gives you a hefty plate of vegetables (bean sprouts, the green leaf thing, the other green leaf thing without stems, limes, and the green pepper thing). Again, if I'm going to order your biggest bowl, I better get a lot of vegetables too. Oh yeah, the broth was great too. I've been eating in this restaurant at least for a couple of years. The food is good while reasonaby priced. My last meal with a friend summed to about $18.50 for a pho dac biet, pho tai nam, fried egg rolls, a soda and water. I held back to just 3 stars because of the service which is standard for most asian restaurants-without the "feel good" greetings of the servers, just straightforward delivery of food and drinks. I come here @ 1 or 2am at night during my night shift. Service isn't bad for a Viet place, the pho broth is decent, and they're open until very late hours, so I don't see any downsides with this place. The restaurant itself is a bit on the ugly side, but I'm there for the food and not the ambiance, so it doesn't bother me. I usually get the food to go anyways. read more

Over the years I've had vietnamese food countess times at many different restaurants, usually having pho/bun or banh mi. Last night at Pho 54 I ordered bun with beef. Had a terrible experience. This is my first restaurant experience that they served food that was NOT EDIBLE. Every piece was burned to death, unseasoned.. most pieces were completely black, dried, and hard like jerky. Gross. Also they only offer free soda with the meal now, none of the other drinks are part of the promotion (the water used in the soda was terrible and it bad aftertaste). After 10+ years. I'm not coming back. Food worse than the most average pho restaurant and that's not even counting the bun mentioned above. Server was also not pleasant. Very neutral. Overall feeling to me.. is that they didn't give a **** about their service or food quality. No tip was left. read more

When i first moved down to Orange County this was one of the first places recommended to me to go try. I'm usually pretty picky about my soups but this pho does not disappoint. Friendly staff and the service is always quick. My favorite is the shrimp pho and i add rare steak to it. I recommend any soup or pho lover to try this place out. This place is pretty easy to find with the big sign up front. Parking was easy to find, especially with the other business around. You walk in this place and see the plasma tv's, the lucky bamboo's, and the fat Buddah with the coins that pretty much reminds you...CASH ONLY! I ordered my stand-by, pho tai (large), which is a beef noodle sort of soup with sliced round-eye steak, and was asked what sort of free drink would I like. Not being that adventurous, I had a Thai Tea, while my friend had this really green drink called Pennywort drink. This green, iced beverage is good for your health, but the taste reminded me of wet grass after being tackled on the football field! The waiter promptly brought the vegetable plate of bean sprouts, sliced limes, sliced jalapenos, and mint leaves. Using all this and mixing it up with sriracha (Huy Fong-brand) and hoisin sauce (Lee Kum Kee-brand), makes this a forehead sweating treat for my tastebuds! The broth was savory! I haven't tried all that many pho restaurants in the OC but I have tried about four different places. This one is by far my favorite one yet! Their broth is to die for and they always accommodate putting broccoli in pho tai. They also give you a free drink (soda) as long as you buy an entree. Their service is ok. Communication is a little difficult at times but we always manage to get by. Something that makes them even more amazing is that they're open at 7am and close at 3am. So, they're pretty much there WHENEVER you have a craving for the deliciousness. ;) I can't say much about all of their other food cuz I always stick to pho tai. But, there's never a wait and your food is typically out fairly quickly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone :D read more

This is one of the best places to get pho in the Westminster/Garden Grove area. Their menu also had a variety of other rice and noodle dishes. I enjoy the outside patio on a nice sunny day too so it's cool that they have that. I got the spicy chicken rice and it was delicious. Their pho is decent but not the best. I like to go here because it's convenient and easy to eat at. The pho is okay, never had a complaint on that. I do advise you that the service here is pretty bad. They only go to your table if there is someone new they have to attend next to your table. This is why I always order an extra drink and water at the get go because they give you everything else at the beginning of the meal or else good luck flagging them down.
