We used to frequent this but unfortunately it seems like the quality has gone down. Pho broth was not flavorful and for the banh hoi, the grilled pork was majority fatty pieces. My dad comes specifically for the pho ap chao and it came out pretty soggy/not really fried. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Both of the bathrooms were pretty badly unkempt as well.. I'm used to bad conditions LOL but you could smell them before even opening the door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not the most ideal when the kitchen is pretty close by.
Honestly confused as to why the reviews are so low, because my friends and I really enjoyed it! I forgot my exact order but I got the combination pho and replaced the tripe with meatballs. The broth tasted like a mix between northern and southern style pho, but more northern and less sweet than most pho spots. The meat quality here is great! Nothing was overcooked and everything was tender. Also, this was my first time being served raw garlic with my pho and I really liked it together! My only complaint is that the noodles were slightly overcooked and the place is pricy at about $20 a bowl. Also, the spring rolls we got were super bomb and fresh! The service is the bare minimum of taking your order and then serving you your food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place itself was clean and super spacious, but they seemed to not have AC because it was so warm! Completely sweaty by the end of the meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
This place is pretty good for a mall spot! I was very pleasantly surprised. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a really spacious restaurant, and I liked the artwork inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were sat at a booth, and the food came out so fast! I got #24, which is the pho with brisket. Some of the brisket was tough, but most of the meat was tender. The broth was really good! It was a great portion for a regular. Service was good, too.
I have to start with the highlight--#44 was absolutely off the hook. It was spicy, warm, and incredibly comforting. Adding fresh mint to the broth really took it to another level for me--such a simple touch, but it made a big difference. I also tried the #48 vermicelli entrée, which was packed with flavor, though definitely on the sweeter side. If you enjoy a sweeter sauce, you'll love it. The beef patties were delicious and well-seasoned--I just wish there had been a few more of them to balance out the rest of the dish. Service was a bit of a mixed experience. Our server was quick to take our order, but after that, we weren't really checked on. We also had to ask multiple times for to-go containers and even a bag, which felt a little inconvenient. On top of that, having to pay for the containers was an unexpected downside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space itself is large and visually appealing, though the decor gave off more of an Italian vibe than Vietnamese, which felt a little mismatched.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we first arrived, there was quite a bit of smoke in the air, which was odd given how big the space is and that the doors were open with AC running--but thankfully it cleared up after about 15 minutes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, the food really shines here and is worth coming back for. With a bit more attention to service and small details, this place could easily be a 5-star experience. Definitely try the soup and don't skip adding mint--it really elevates the flavor. If you're ordering vermicelli, expect a sweeter profile. Also, ask for to-go containers early to avoid the back-and-forth.
We love coming here for their rice plates whenever we're in the area! The last couple of times we've visited, the quality has been consistent. We usually order to-go and the food still tastes amazing! We dined in recently for Tét and service was quick. My go-to order is the #52 Korean BBQ Short Rib plate! The ribs are tender and juicy whenever I order it. I tried the #54 Fried Chicken rice plate yesterday and the chicken was super crispy and it comes with soy sauce, which made it even more tastier! I enjoy the fresh and pickled veggies that come with the plates and the delicious soup on the side. My bf always gets the #55 Grilled Chicken rice plate. He enjoys the sweet marinade for the chicken, which makes it flavorful and moist. I don't remember how the shaking beef tasted, but I had tried it off of my sister and I think it was decent! We tried their pho once and it was a little bit too salty for us.

Food was nice, service was normal, as usual, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]ambience was great with it looking like a mansion[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. in general, 10/10 restaurant. me and my dad enjoyed it.
Saw a lot of options for pho where I didn't know which one to choose. I then saw this pho labeled "chef's favorite" which I opted in for. Unique way to eat this pho, where I was given a plate of fried beef separately, and it was pretty good from the caramelized bits from the wok. Overall, the pho was good, feels fresh, clear broth, and nice amount of toppings. The garlic butter fried chicken wings weren't bad but could use more seasoning/salt. Do want to note that my girlfriend requested her bowl of pho to be cilantro free, which came back with no other vegetable toppings at all.
*Hu Thieu Nam Vang - Dry (soup on the side)* is one we haven't ordered before but it was really tasty. The soup on the side was light but flavorful. The stir fry "dry" noodles has a light sauce on it while it's cooked so the noodles are well seasoned on their own. It would have been great to have some pickled peppers on the side so I would ask if they have that next time. *Bun Cha Ha Noi* is my go to dish when I'm not eating noodle soup. The dish has a light fish sauce enveloping the meats. You place your noodles, herbs and the meat + sauce into a bowl. I devoured my plate despite generally eating pretty small portions. This dish can be very filling but it was so delicious I had to finish it! My friend got the crispy egg noodle dish. It reminded me of what my mom would make me as a kid so to me it was a very comforting dish. The noodles came out very crispy and the sauce on the noodles coated the dish well.

Revisited and did not disappoint at 10 o'clock for late dinner. Like that they are open late. Had the Hu Tieu Nam Vang. One of the best Hu Tieu. The ingredients were good quality, including the liver not having the gamey taste. The beef broth that came with was not too salt so it went well with the sweet soy gravy of the hu tieu. The short ribs were tender. Sweet salty flavor throughout with a little bit of onion flavor. The fried egg rolls were also good. One order came with 4 good size pieces. Crispy wrapper. Perfectly fried to golden brown. Good filling to wrper ratio. Filling was good, too.
This place is huge for a pho restaurant. I was told they expanded somewhat recently. It's a warm day so we did not order hot noodle soup or pho. I love my dried rice noodle and egg noodle combo. Definitely a large portion for a small bowl order. It came with a side of soup with a marrow. Loved that even more. The marrow had additional meat on it that I enjoyed with my noodle. My friend could not finish her platter. It's one order and prob 2 ppl can enjoy it. It's their Banh Hoi platter. She had to take half of it home. Clean restaurant and menu had a good variety for you to enjoy.

This Vietnamese soup house closes late, so I am so glad that it is in my neighborhood. Came home from a late night flight craving for some good Vietnamese soup. They generally close around midnight. When we came, it was quite a bit late so the staff were understandably, a bit tired. However, you have to try their Vietnamese spring roll, especially the nem nuong roll! Their pho had so much meat! It's very unusual for me to go to a San Jose pho restaurant named Pho Hanoi, but a friend invited me out here. I noticed that the price is more reasonable than Pho Hanoi. This place specializes in pho, but serves all the other Viet dishes here too. Special pho (4/5): This pho comes with tripe, brisket, tendon. I also added meat balls and I chose fresh noodles for a few cents more. Trust me the fresh noodles are worth. I thought it was good value. Not as good as pho Hanoi, but still delicious. read more

This is still a good place for pho, but visiting here when you are trying to give up meat or red meat does make for a challenging experience. The only real option if you don't eat red meat is the pho ga or the meatless pho. And if you're vegetarian or vegan, I did not see any option on the menu that would be suitable. Service is still fast and attentive, and they brought more bean sprouts/vegetables when I requested. The ambiance is unique and pleasant. read more

I called to order 1 pho "lean brisket and meat ball" and 1 pho " lean brisket, meat ball and beef tripe". I came to pick up and they gave me the bill for total $47.58. I was surprised and wonder why it costs almost $24 for 1 bowl of Pho. I looked at the receipt and they charged $3 per order for the meat ball. I explained with cashier that I didn't order extra meatball, just regular order. She told me that meatball not in any of pho, and If I want it, I have to pay $3 extra. I told her I have no problem with it, I just wanted to be notified before hand. What'll happens if the meat ball cost $5 or $10 not $3? And the cashier gave me the look and show attitude. And $3 meat ball is 2 small meat ball cut in half. I fell like thay stealing money from customers. read more
I picked up some Korean ribs with garlic noodles. The ribs were 7-8 bones only, but they were very tender, a tad salty. The garlic noodles were thicker noodles than some other places. They were flavorful! I also got a chicken pho for my mom. Obviously, I didn't try that. But it looked good. LOL read more

Really spacious pho restaurant with an outdoor patio located at the front right corner of Vietnam town. So spacious they even got a robot that delivers to-go orders from the kitchen to the front! We ordered the (#11) Pho Dac Biet and (#15) Pho Tai Dap Chay. The broth didn't really stand out to me and lacked depth of flavor compared to other pho spots in the area. Their pho tai dap chay (stir-fry steak pho) is their chef's special; I enjoyed the smokiness of the meat and surprisingly, it paired really well with the pho! I recommend ordering this as it isn't regularly found at pho restaurants. Great spot for late night pho and large reservations. Parking is usually busy on the weekends. read more

This is my boyfriend and mine's favorite pho restaurant! We come here at least every week because the food is amazing and A LOT. If you want extra noodles, you got it! The waiters are especially amazing. They are very sweet and they get your food to your table ASAP. If you're a big back craving pho, come here! read more
I frequently visit this shop as I am always heading to Grand Century/Vietnam Town to stock up on viet food. I think this is a decent shop for pho and the broken rice plates, but definitely feel the quality and taste of the food has steadily declined over the past few years. Still a great spot, but with all the new pho shops in this area you are likely to find something better (like pho Ha Noi). Tried a new item off their menu-- the bo ne skillet. It was just ok, wouldn't get again. 3.5 stars overall if able to give half stars. read more

Stopped by around 9pm on the weekend, moderately busy but not packed. We were seated within 5 mins and taken to our table. The interior was fairly nice, pretty big establishment. Restaurant staff came around quickly to take orders, and pho came out within 10 mins. This was probably the strong point of the service, because other than these instances, service was very hard to come by. We had to ask for chili oil 3 separate times and wait close to 10 minutes to get any. We also could not find anyone to request refills on our water. Restaurant staff did not come around at a single point after dropping off our food/chili oil. The pho itself was amazing. It was full of flavor, and so delicious! The large felt like a large, and this is comparable to some of my other favorite pho spots in the Bay Area. I would come back solely for the pho, not much else. read more

The location is great with lots of parking and usually never crowded. My family came during têt so we expected a long wait but we got immediately seated. We had a group of 6 and I was the only one that ordered pho (pho #15.) I got my food probably 30 minutes before everyone else got their food and I noticed other tables were getting their pho first too. I guess if you go here and want to eat with your group you should all order pho because everything else takes twice as long to make. Maybe it was just because it's lunar new year but I went a few times before and the pho usually always comes first then everything else. For the food. The #15 pho is pretty good. Although I've had better broth, the fried meat made the broth so fatty and special. I would get that dish again. My family ordered 2 orders of #58 (Bo ne) and one dish was burnt, dry, and not good while the other same dish food was cooked perfectly. Ambiance was okay. There's a lot of outdoor seatings.. nothing too special. Overall because of the location I might stop by again since it is decent and convenient but I'm not really expecting too much. read more
Always love eating at Pho 90! This place has some of the best pho in the area. The meat is definitely high quality compared to other places. I love getting #14 because the meat is so tender. Their bun and garlic noodles are also fantastic choices! Service is decent, not amazing, but you're here for the food. Place can get fairly busy but you can get a seat here really easily. Great place for late night eats. It's opened till midnight and has a ton of seating. Pretty fast service, didn't have to wait long. We got a number 11 'Pho Dac Biet' which is a combo of everything and a number 17 'Pho Bo Vien' which is meatballs. The broth was yummy and flavorful. They give a generous amount of noodles and meat. I only wish that the broth was piping hot when it came to us. read more

I'm overdue for an update on the review here since my 1st review over a decade ago. I came here with a group of coworkers for lunch today around 1145am, and was able to get seated for a party of 10 instantly. We were given the menu, and the server returned instantly with water for us. She took our order and was able to help me determine if I should order ahead for my other 3 coworkers that are on their way or not. She explained that food that is dry requires more time than soups, so we went ahead and ordered one dish ahead. Our orders consisted of 5 phos, 2 bun thit nuong (vermicelli noodles w/ grilled pork), 2 mi toi voi suong bo dai han (garlic noodles with k-ribs) and 1 pho ap chao do bien (pan fried noodles w/ seafood and veggies). Pretty much everyone was satisfied with their dish, but I do want to comment on my Pho Ap Chao Do Bien. There is plenty of seafood and vegetables. However, the sauce was a little on the sweeter side, but nothing sriracha and soy sauce couldn't fix.and the pan-fried noodles were not as crispy. It was only deep fried on one side, so it got soft and soggy even though I immediately pulled it out from under the seafood and veggies. I think if it was crispier, I would've enjoyed this dish even more. The restaurant seemed to have expanded, and there were outdoor seatings, so it wasn't as busy as there was no line as there was when it opened about a decade ago with my 1st review. Service was good and prompt when requests were made. My coworkers come here often for Pho, and I occasionally come with them. It's a good place to go when there's a large group with various food interests as the menu has a variety of food to choose from. read more

Located at the back side of great mall. Pho 90 is a relatively new pho restaurant with lots of space for seating and pretty good pho. Parking is a lot cuz of the mall but will be hard during holidays cuz of all the sales at great mall. If pho kim long has a long line then this is the go to if you dont wanna wait! Their #15, #42, #51 and #59 are pretty good if you wanna try some new things aside from getting a #1 large at your typical san jose pho restaurant. Their drinks are pretty good too but a bit pricey Pay at the front counter after you are done. read more

Food was good, especially the Nem Nu'ong cuon (spring roll) appetizer. My friend ordered a #46 Bun Tom N Thit (noodle bowl) and I ordered a Tai dap chay (beef pho). Service was fast and also served by robot (the appetizer was but not the meals). Pretty cool. read more

Pho 90 Degree is perfect for those late-night cravings when you're in the mood for a warm bowl of pho. They're usually incredibly busy on weekends, but service-wise they're always quick to bring you out your food immediately after you order. The pho itself is just okay - each visit I've had the broth and noodles aren't comparable to other restaurants in San Jose. Their tai / rare sliced steak SUPER good though, apart from that it's just okay overall and is still a solid option if you're in the area and in need of some late-night eats. I definitely remember them being a lot better around the time they initially opened, but recently the quality's just been missing the mark for me. read more

The food was decent, we got pho's and the fresh noodle was actually really good and the soup was very authentic. We also got the che thai but it was really overpowered by durian so I wouldn't recommend getting it if you're not a fan of durian. Also it was more heavy on the toppings and not so much on the liquid so it wasn't my favorite. Overall the service was okay since we went on a non busy day! read more

I don't know why pho 90 gets only a 3 star rating. I think it's just as good as its neighbor, Pho Ha Noi! Solid food, good variety, and fast service. Knocking 1 star because I think it can be a little cleaner. read more

Since it was Xmas eve and not so many restaurants open that night and Pho 90 is only one of the few that are open we decided to come here. Before coming me and my wife wasn't expecting much from this place. When we walk-in one of the workers seated us in the back. This place is big so we were kinda hidden were none of the waiters even knew we were there. After sitting down for 20 minutes I finally flagged down a waitress. Apparently the guy that sat us never told anybody were were here. After ordering, our food came out pretty fast. We ordered the combination pho, bun Bo hue, and Bun cha. The broth in both the soup was not piping hot like we both wanted. The flavor was not too bad but both broth taste like they put too much water in there. Basically the broth was watered down. The bun cha dish is basically vermicelli noodles with grill pork and pork meatball in fish sauce. The noodle texture seem like it was microwaved a little too long and the pork seem a little dry. Overall definitely will not be coming back here unless it's late night! read more
I'm disappointed with the service they provided today. I always come here and even bring people that have never had their food because most of the time it's really good and some times just okay. I asked for someone to take my order to go twice and I was ignore, the server directed me to go order at the cashier. But I am clearly at my table with my food. I have nothing against their food and area as it is pleasant but the service needs little more care. I left upset and ignored. I paid my bill, didn't order my extra order and take out. I am one customer but I always make a point to bring more people if the food/business is really good. I think I will go back to my number one spot from here on. Thanks for everything Pho 90 degrees.
