Reliably good service, delicious food, at reasonable prices. My favorite dishes include the Chicken Katsu plate, Chicken Teriyaki Bowls (pork and beef are also good), Spicy Tuna Sushi, and the Fried Gyoza (Chinese pork dumplings). They also have Yakisoba bowls (chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, & veggie), tempura, and Udon. Indoor seating is available, but it can fill up fast. Parking can also be tight at times. I recommend you give them a try when in the area, but note, they're not open on weekends.

    Loco Moco Bowl. GOOD! :D

I had a good breakfast bowl at Jinza Teriyaki. I've always driven by here and finally decided to give it a try. I came here during the breakfast hours so decided to try one this items on the menu. The staff was helpful and gave me time to browse as it was my time. I saw a Loco Moco Bowl on the menu so decided on that. They offer local students from Cal Poly discounts from what I had seen on the window. The set up inside has multiple tables for larger groups of people and a few small ones. I imagine it gets busier towards lunch time. The bowl of Loco Moco Bowl was a generous portion and also came with a side of mac salad. Their version of the Loco Bowl was very unique in a positive way. Instead of the hamburger patty meat it's beef teriyaki style meat and they have tater tots to pair with the rice. An interesting version, but nonetheless hella good! Each bite was packed with flavors and real tasty. The mac salad was fine in my opinion. If you ever come by for breakfast this Loco Moco bowl would be a solid choice. Good spot for breakfast/lunch out here near Cal Poly Pomona. Thanks, Jinza Teriayki! ( ^_^)b

This place is located in the plaza a behind the Starbucks. It's kind of a hold in the wall, as it looks more like an industrial location than a restaurant site. Jinza has a lot to choose from, from rolls to udon and yakisoba, to the usual teriyaki bowls/plates. They also offer breakfast options that are served until 2:00 pm. They have a breakfast jambalaya bowl which sounds interesting. My son and I got the chicken plate combo with the crunch roll and the Teri chicken burrito. The girl at the counter asked us if we wanted any spicy sauce or white sauce. So we took some home to try. The chicken was good, the crunch roll had mushy rice so it tasted weird. I realized after I got home that we didn't have teriyaki sauce, I think I was supposed to as for a container and fill it with the sauce on the tables. The plate came with a salad and picked veggies. I was not a fan of the white colored dressing on the salad. Not sure what flavor it was supposed to be. I also didn't like the white sauce that we got and didn't know what to use it for even though the girl said it was for "anything". I dipped my chicken in it to try and I feel like it's Kewpie mayo, but I could be wrong. We really like the Teri chicken burrito. It was basically a Teri chicken rice bowl wrapped in a tortilla. It came with some salsa on the side. Saw a sign inside that they have Taco Thursday, so we will probably come back to try that too!

We just love Jinza Teriyaki. The owner and workers are super chill and nice, good vibes all around. The food is tried and true. The chicken teriyaki is hands down our favorite. We made one meal a combo and got mixed tempura. The beef is okay; I'd rather get a double order of the chicken. The plates come with lettuce salad and pickled cabbage. Also comes with sauce, but for me personally the food was flavorful enough. There's a little table where you can help yourself to teriyaki sauce and Sriracha. Convenient, great food, good service. No complaints here.

I recommend this place. I placed an order on the phone and got there 10 mins after and the service was quick and easy! The food was great for the price. Th beef had a lil sweet taste but with the spicy sauce it was the perfect balance. The rice was really good and cooked to perfection. I rate this place a 10/10 amazing if you're looking for something healthy and delicious. I couldn't really feel the ambiance since I go a to go order. But the service was nice!

Food is ok. Service is fast and efficient. Portion size is very small for the price. Came here one day to try their teriyaki bowl and ordered the beef. Portion size is small. Lots of rice with a very small amount of meat. Meat was nicely flavored but chewy so not a high quality cut. The rice was undercooked. It's fine for quick grub but I'm unlikely to come back.

Used to come here a lot when I worked in the area. Haven't been in about 10+ years and they must be doing something right to still be around after all this time. Not much has changed except the expanded dining area and they have a bunch of drinks available now by the cashier. Looks like they have expanded the menu quite a bit also. Came in on a Thursday around 1:30 and they were still extremely busy. Long line, but the food still came out pretty quickly. Got the chicken and beef plate and it was just like I remembered. Saw a lot of people ordering tacos and I didn't see it on the menu. Asked the man at the counter and he said it's a Thursday special. I think I'll stop by next Thursday and give it a shot. Good taste on the proteins, decent portion size, and friendly staff. I will be back for sure.

I've been coming here for a bit now since I work less than a few minutes away and it's not only convenient but the food is great! It's in a tiny little business park behind Starbucks on Temple and Pomona Blvd and if you're not paying attention you can easily pass it! I am very picky when it comes to my chicken because I don't like the skin, any fat or gristle on it. This chicken does not have any of that! It's super tender, juicy and just overall delicious. The rice is always fresh, veggies were perfectly cooked and the Mac salad was delicious! Not pictured was the musubi! It's hard to find good musubi and Jinza's is simple but delicious! We've also tried their chicken plate and chicken supreme salad both which were very good too! I've not had anything so far that I've not liked! Restaurant is very clean even when it's at its busiest. Staff is great and very attentive. You must try their white sauce! I placed an online order and there was a minor hiccup with it but nothing that would prevent me from coming back!

The lone exceptions on my lifelong crusade against seafood? Tuna salad or fresh shrimp served ice cold in a tangy shrimp cocktail. Then along comes my gorgeous and very health conscious daughter, Brianna. Nana keeps Hikari on speed dial, routinely orders from our friendly neighborhood sushi purveyor twice per week. Ten days ago she challenged me, her rib eye and pork chop loving Daddy, to sample one of her spicy tuna rolls. As with any good Daddy, I am rendered utterly helpless -like Superman foiled by Krypronite- by any request my talented, beautiful daughter makes. I nervously grabbed a roll, torpedoed it into the inky, umami-redolent black sauce, and found myself shocked, even stupefied, at how distinctly "un-fishy" this delicacy was! My mouth revered the crunchy exterior of its fried tempura coated rice base, my taste buds frolicked at the myriad textures commingling with cooling, creamy avocado and even the snappy, slivered jalapeño chip...which Hikari has thoughtfully stripped of its fiery seeds. Hikari is also famous for rapid-fire service- I submitted my order for spicy tuna rolls and cup of miso soup (richly satisfying!) seven minutes before my arrival and was pleasantly pleased to see find my takeout order ready upon my arrival. Hikari Sushi belongs on the Diamond Bar Mt. Rushmore of asian restaurants- alongside Silver Spoons Thai BBQ, Basil & Company and Encore Teppanyaki.

At first glance, it doesn't seem like the rolls would be filling, but I was surprised that I was full after only eating half a box. The fish is fresh and the rice is seasoned perfectly. Of the locations I've been to, this one is by far the least aesthetically pleasing. The other locations, especially the one on Sawtelle, are beautiful and have a nice theme to them. The interior of this one is very strange, it is just a bunch of tables (which are too close to each other) and a mural on one of the walls. The other locations have more wood features/finishes, softer lighting (compared to the harsher lighting here) , and just overall nicer. But ambiance aside, this location is pretty much the same consistent high-quality that I've experienced at other Marugame Udon locations. I think pretty much everything on the menu sounds good, so whatever looks good to you, you should try. I personally love the curry udon. The tempura is great, and I enjoy the pumpkin one the best; however, the last time I went, they didn't allow you to pick the tempura in the cafeteria style line, which is a big part of the experience! We had to order the tempura at the register. They made it to order, which meant it was fresh, but by the time the tempura comes out, I was pretty much already done with the udon, so I can't enjoy the food together. Not sure if that was a one time thing, but if it is a permanent thing, that takes away from the fun and unique cafeteria style experience and makes this just like any other restaurant. But overall, this location is just good. There are a lot of other good restaurants in the Rolling Ridge plaza, but I would go here if I'm in the mood.

The rolls are stuffed so big that they can barely fit in your mouth, the fish is incredibly fresh, and the variety is top notch. Some of our favorites include... the sunset, 4 corner, the crunch hand roll, the Cajun yellowtail, the samurai , and the salmon belly. Holy cow the 4 corner roll is our new favorite! What the heck the magical seared Cajun salmon literally melts in your mouth. And because it's Cajun it has those smoky flavors that mesh so well with the sauces. Our eyes were rolling to the back of our heads with this one. Sunset is our go to. Salmon outside and crab inside. Perfection and the bite size portions are huge! The crunch roll was ginormous!!! So good! I was craving a shrimp tempura roll but wanted the nori so this hit the spot. It had shrimp tempura, avocado, and an overflowing amount of crab! We loved the 4 corner roll so much, our server recommend the Cajun yellowtail nigiri.... Insane. The samurai was really good too.
