On Friday evening after shopping for some groceries nearby we finally came in to check out this pho(pronounced "fuh") restaurant after hearing raving reviews and it did not disappoint! The restaurant had a beautiful chandelier as you walk in and was all decked out from the Chinese New Year, very nice and helpful staff as well including our server Alex! To order we started out with an appetizer, the Charbroiled Pork Spring Rolls which comes with Peanut Sauce. The peanut sauce was very flavorful and delish and the spring rolls were not only filling for just 2 cut in half for us, but also quite delicious as well! I ordered their Coconut Smoothie to drink and this was the best smoothie I've ever had, so sweet like a dessert and and you can tell they make them from fresh coconuts and the whip cream was very good and creamy, mm!! For dinner I had to try their pho since I've heard many great things about it, I decided on the Pho Beef Combination Without Beef Ball! For a cold day it warmed my tummy and the toppings that came on the side to make your Pho were fresh and healthy and I liked how they had a variety of sauces on the table to flavor it more! The only thing I didn't eat were the jalapeños since I can't handle the spice, tried one bite and whoo hot lol! They simmer their pho for at least 8 hours and for a meat choice definitely at least include tendons which are great for your hips and joints because they contain glucosamine and chondroitin! I would definitely recommend trying out this location, everything came out hot, prompt and the prices were very reasonable especially for my small pho, I made 2 meals out of it and I'm a big eater! I look forward to trying out more of their authentic dishes! Extremely unhelpful when ordering online or over phone. Their pickup system is very messy. I asked multiple times for my order and they said not ready, and then out of nowhere the guy says "oh its been here the entire time" and now I eat my food cold wow. Never again. read more

When you're craving that beautiful taste in your mouth... that lovely velvety taste.. those rice noodles... thin slices of raw meat. My daughter & I love the tendon! Oh! My new favorite spot! Conveniently located across from Birdcage Shopping center. My daughter & got on the good ol Yelp App and searched for the first Pho restaurant with a good star rating.. must have both for us to go! Pho ABC was right in front of us. Literally! We pulled into their parking lot and walked in thi a big dining area and sat right away. Our server had a great attitude! Every other question I asked, he joked and said, "that'll be $5!" He got us waters, a strawberry smoothie with bobba, and straws. We're ordered the shrimp spring rolls and the extra large pho to share... Everything was absolutely delicious and came out looking better than any picture could take! An extra large is too much for us girls, of course, but we like to snack on it later on before bed time. Great quality food and wonderful customer service. I am so annoyed right now. I have eaten here for years. It's right by my house and has been the only successful thing in this spot since I've lived here, and that's been my entire life. I have had mostly good experiences with this place, but I have found it dirty and smelling a little funny several times, but the food has always been pretty good. Some stuff is not consistent, but the noodle and meat plates are always very consistent as well as the vietnamese coffee. I usually order # 52 with pork and a baby coconut water. I eat here at least twice a month and have for many years. Recently, I've noticed the quality and quantity are slipping more regularly. Tonight I ordered food online. Two vermicelli plates and two baby coconut waters. My partner picked it up. I'm sick and was really looking forward to the meal. My partner hands me the coconut water and said "wow, they seriously skimped tonight!" I take the cup in my hand and it's heavy and hard, because it's FILLED with ice. Mind you, we're talking $10 worth of coconut water. Both cups had been completely filled with ice, with a quarter of a cup of coconut water (I measured) So we spent $10 on less then one cup of coconut water. While I know it's expensive, this is ridiculous. I have never bought coconut water and received this drink like this or else I wouldn't waste my money on it. So, I called. My food was starting to get cold. Someone answers. I explain what happened. there are long gaps of silence. I say "hello, hello?" this goes on for about 4 minutes. I'm infuriated. This is really not a difficult situation. Either refund me or provide me with coconut water the next time. All of a sudden I"m talking to someone else who asks me "how can I help you?" this infuriates me even more. I tell him and he ARGUES with me and tells me this is the way they have been serving it the entire time and I'm wrong. SERIOUSLY?! I'm WRONG? At this point my food is cold, as I've been on the phone for close to 10 minutes and my partner is laughing at me because i'm this pissed over coconut water, but you know what? EVERYONE is struggling right now and $10 is A LOT of money for that little amount of Coconut water to enjoy. So they rude person I spoke to said he would have management call me. The fact that this was handled so poorly on the phone when it could have been a quick and easy issue to deal with is seriously what prompted me to write this. After spending so much money at this place to be treated with such little respect sucks. I'll go back, but it will be a while and i will NEVER order the coconut water again. read more

The food is DELICIOUS & the service was so fast! We had the #8 pho, #37 fried rice, Thai boba tea, & shrimp spring rolls. The meal overall was great but the rice was my favorite, it was SO GOOD and the broth in soup was so flavorful and well balanced. Food: My friend and I came here for lunch since it was close by. Personally I thought the food was a bit on the salty side. I ordered a pork rice plate with cha and shredded pork. Wow! Get the Spring rolls! I know my Vietnamese food and I haven't had these yummy treats in the last 20 yrs since Andy Nguyen on Folsom Blvd., now closed. My go to is the Bun: charbrioled pork and shrimp over vermicelli noodles. Nuc Nam aka fish sauce makes the dish. Wish I could give you 5 stars, but when I ordered the lemongrass chicken you had red and green bell peppers in it. That is not served in this dish. I happen to be allergic. I didn't plan on coming here but our usual place was closed today. I'm so glad we did though! They had a great variety of food and the service was amazing. Even before we sat down they had water on the table. As I do when we eat Vietnamese, I orders the shrimp rolls with the peanut sauce, mom had the calamari and we also had the wings. We pretty much figured out what we wanted but their menu was huge and there was something for everyone. My dad and brother had the chicken curry, my SIL had the pho, mom had the charbroiled pork chops and I had the sizzling cube beef (#86). The food came out in the right order and again, service was so quick. I think the staff have a great system in place. One person takes the orders, another beings out the food and there is alway someone around to refill drinks. Overall, this place was awesome. The food was delicious, the prices were so reasonable and again the service was fast without being rushed. They even had drinks that we forgot to order because we were so full. Maybe next time! Got the grilled pork Banh mi and spring rolls to go. The Banh mi was a bit pricey and the size a little bit smaller than I expected, but the sandwich itself was really good. They pack it with meat, so it makes up for the price and size. I was a little disappointed in the spring rolls. As soon as I took my first bite, I could tell the lettuce was not as fresh. I could've stopped eating the spring rolls, but I was too hungry haha. I had to put a lot of peanut sauce on it afterwards to mask the taste. Second, they don't close the ends of the spring rolls, so as soon as you take a bite, everything will start to fall out on the other end. Haven't tried their pho or (my fave dish) bun bo hue yet. Everything is made fresh and they give you plenty of vegetables for your pho. I'm convinced pho is medicinal and try to get it every chance I get. Stopped by this spot while we were shopping near sunrise mall area. This is a great Pho place off of greenback. During this COVID time, it continued to stay busy. I really enjoyed their Vietnamese sandwiches and especially their bun bo hue. They are beginning to provide outdoor seating for dining with family outside during COVID times. Haven't had Pho in a while, was getting off work pretty late and was worried that I would not make it before they close. Came in 20 minutes before closing, the server was amazing and quick, within minutes my food was on the table and tasted better than ever. I tried to finish it as fast as possible, even though I stayed for a few extra minutes after closing, I was still treated so good and none of the servers were rushing me. GREAT PLACE AND GREAT FOOD! Lived near here for 3 years and never went. Haha we moved(still close) and decided to try it. Was pretty good. It was slow so service was pretty attentive. They are also pretty good about cleaning. Wife and I were in the north Sacramento area visiting the widow of my favorite ROTC instructors who had died in Vietnam. She is well into her 80s and liked Vietnamese food. She had a favorite in her neighborhood, but it was closed, so we went to Pho ABC. A great choice. The menu was chock full of Vietnamese and Chinese soups, stir fries, appetizers and main dishes. Wonderful, yet confusing options. Needed help. Along came our wait person, who is of Mexican descent. I smiled asking him how he knew so much about this food. His answer? He is married to one of the owner's daughters and practically is living in the restaurant. He really knew his stuff. Too bad that I cannot remember his name...sorry! He guided us through the various options and we all ordered some form of their specialty: beef broth soup. Huge bowls, very hot and loaded with beef and vegetables. Yummy. A side plate had bean sprouts, jalapeno peppers and fresh basil which you add to the broth. Really good and we were stuffed. We drank hot tea which kept coming along with many checks on "how we were doing." Restaurant is clean, parking is in front in their own lot and lots of Asians are eating there...a good sign.
