I usually come here often because this seems to be the closest/best pho/Vietnamese food we have around the area we live.. however today I went in with my kids without my husband because he was busy, and a old Vietnamese man with glasses sat us down (idk if he is just a waiter or owner) but he acts as if he is so much more superior then the other waiters. He just stand around tagging along the other waiters (not doing anything) as the rest of the young Vietnamese men are busy waiting and bussing tables. I know he clearly heard me as I had repeatedly said excuse me because, he just kept walking on by, with his back to me and had another much kinder younger waiter come to hand me the check. Idk who the owners are but if they are reading this, they should really think about this older man's employment, and if he is the owner he should just sit back behind the counter and not do anything (because that's what he is already doing anyways, absolutely nothing. Learn some manners old man, the younger waiters have far better manners than YOU and that should tell YOU a lot). You don't deserve respect just because you are older than everybody else, you get respect by being respectful to those around you. Ambiance seems clean and well maintained. read more

This is our second visit to this restaurant. Our first experience was really good. The staff were friendly, the food was amazing, and the prices were reasonable. Now we've come back, and they still have a great soup base. The place is dirty and sticky looking. One thing I want to mention is that the chopsticks weren't as clean as I'd hoped; they were a little sticky. But the good thing is they also had wooden chopsticks as an option. read more

Solid pho spot in Folsom. We stopped by recently after a trip to the local movie theater. I had a medium pho which was good. My youngest had a grilled pork banh mi. At $5, it's a little pricey compared to the spots in South Sac, but hey it's Folsom. He finished about 3/4 so I got to try some and it was good. My brother had a large pho and he liked it as well. Found this place on Yelp and we went in with high expectations. The short version of the review: they exceeded those expectations. Come and eat here, it's excellent. We enjoyed everything from the service to the food and the restaurant. I got the Pho Beef Combination Soup and everything was perfect. Melt in your mouth brisket, delicious flank, soft tendon and medium rare steak. The broth was also fantastic, well seasoned and super complex flavors. The service is super fast, the prices are fair and the portions are fairly large. They do provide containers to take home the broth separated from the noodles and rest of the ingredients. What a nice spot to stumble upon! I don't know any pho restaurants in the Sacramento area that was as attentive and friendly as this place! We were asked by three different workers if they could take our order and the staff was super nice and friendly! It was a nice different vibe than the usual Asian restaurants in South Sacramento! Customer service actually existed here! I didn't order pho so I cannot attest to the taste of their pho. I ordered an a la carte walnut shrimp and my oh my it was delicious! It was so perfect! There isn't a lot of options for Vietnamese food in Folsom so this is one of the places I usually go to for lunch if I'm craving Pho, Beef Stew or a Vietnamese rice plate. The parking area generally gets full around noon during the weekdays, but there is street parking as well. Inside there is a small area to wait and a sign up sheet if it gets busy. The place is pretty big and there is plenty of tables around, if you go loner status like I do sometimes, there is a single seating table haha. It's also overall clean but you get the occasional annoyance of flies that come into the resturant. One thing to note is that this place provides the dipping plate, that's a must for me to dip my Pho meat. The pho is about average here with your usual side add on of greens and bean sprout. I really like the beef stew here and it comes with a fresh baguette to dip into the soup. The beef is tender and some of them have a little bit of fat to be extra savory. Rice dishes are also on average, overall the good is good but it can get pricy vs some of the places you eat at in South Sacramento. Service is great, the food comes out really fast and the portion size is good. I would recommend this place if you are craving some Vietnamese food and in Folsom. read more

The service was fine. The waiter was friendly enough but he did forget to bring a sauce we asked for. The food was fine. Mediocre, a little bland, definitely nothing to write home about. I had the bun bo hue and my husband had the pho with rare steak. We ate and got full, that's about all I have to say. I did order a Viet coffee that was quite good. I don't give out 5 stars lightly, It is a very good shop, the pho is good and fresh and the bahn mi is also really good. They have desserts and drinks, probably my personal favorite is the thai tea which... this is like one of the only places I have been that seems to get Thai tea correct and tastes good. The Bahn mi is really good and comes with siracha and soy sauce packets, there is an array of choices for both pho and bahn mi along with vegan/vegetarian option bahn mi and pho. They have spring rolls that are very good as well, alot of the time when I have spring rolls from resturants they either add to many veggies and not enough meat/seafood but pho abc has struck a good balance beetween to two that is very good. It is a place I can go to get a good quick healthy bite to eat whether it is to go or sitting down and I will 9/10 times enjoy the meal. read more

I had to go to Sacramento for work and my hotel was in Folsom (30 miles away from my meeting site). It's a traveling system my work uses to make reservations. Whenever I travel, I like to try new Vietnamese restaurants. So I did a yelp search and found this place. It was a Sunday night and it wasn't too crowded so lots of empty tables. Most of their tables were tables for 4 and some had 1 person seating and some had all 4 seats occupied. When I walked in, they put me at a table where I faced the their office table and a wall (see picture). So my view pretty much sucked. I should have asked to sit somewhere else but since I just flew in, I was too tired to say anything. I ordered the following: Shredded Pork with pork skin Spring Rolls ($4.75) - They were huge, however mainly filled with rice noodles and wrapped very loosely. However the pork is shredded Cha Lua (Pork ham) not actual shredded pork meat. It was still tasty. Bun Bo Hue ($8.50): Very good!! Lots of noodles, meat and veggies. The broth was outstanding. It came with a small side of shrimp paste if you want that extra yummy taste. Three flavor dessert with coconut milk - It was a nice treat to end my meal. I would come back here for the Bun Bo Hue and dessert but I will make sure to tell them to seat me by the window. read more

The best vegan pho broth in the area. An xtra large portion can feed at least 2 regular people (and tastes okay the next day too). We also always get the tofu spring rolls with extra peanut sauce, and my boyfriend is obsessed with their chicken pho. I've tried several of their other vegetarian dishes, I'd say they're all so so. The lemongrass tofu dish would be at the top of my list of other dishes, and the green beans are all deep fried so can get really soggy if you're ordering it for take out. They miss things on our takeout order every once in a while (we've asked for white meat only, no mushrooms, extra peanut sauce etc) so make sure you double check your order before you leave! It also helps to repeat your order slowly especially if you have any specifications, as they're pretty short and sometimes hard to understand on the phone as well. Pretty good pho place in Folsom, actually, the only real pho place in Folsom! First of all, the name is interesting and wonder how they got that specific name. 1) the service is good and entertaining! All the workers there are mostly men and they dress very casual. Honestly, you can really notice they are workers since most of them are wearing jeans and t-shirts. One of the workers was singing and dancing to the music which I thought was cool! He works and has fun! He has a good attitude, good sense of humor and was different from your typical pho worker! Haha!!! Overall, they take your order fast, bring out the food fast and check on you regularly. 2) the food is decent! I had the rare steak pho and it was pretty good! The broth was hot and had good flavor. The steak was so so because it was already cooked dry in the broth and usually I like it when it's still slightly red. My lady ordered the same dish!
