Was too excited for pho i felt adventurous and went off script and ordered the oxtail pho which i never do. Usually always just steak. The pho broth was good, interior roomy but seats are very close with holes in the dividers where u sit in the booth and can hear everyone's conversations. Felt a bit loud. The oxtail meat was not the best, small and not alot of meat and not very soft so hard to eat. Still had some good pieces but i would just get steak next time. Partner had chicken pho and didnt complain about it. Overall good pho spot i think. They had tv's for fifa matcha.

One of the best pho places in Livermore. Nestled across the street from the Livermore Outlets, this Vietnamese restaurant has great ambience with high ceilings, food, drinks, service. Plenty of free open parking, clean restrooms and AC. Definitely check out this place after or before your shopping at the outlets!

Pho is our go to rainy day food! Wanted to try a new place around our house and this place did not disappoint. Cute interior, great service and food comes out fast and hot. Came on a Saturday around 6 pm on a rainy night, ample parking and many tables available. This parking lot also has a Tesla charger so you can charge while you eat, always a plus! Will be back to try their ox tail pho!

Wifey and I wanted to try a new Vietnamese place so I decided to try this place. We have visited this place twice so it's time for a review. Since it's a pho place, I had to start with their pho - got myself a combination pho. Meats were good and the soup tasted great. My wife had their Bun Bo Hue. Not the best she's had, but she thought it was good enough. The spring rolls were big and we got extra sauce since I was consuming it like it was free lol. The fried rice flour cake was a surprise. Not sure why that caught my wife's attention, but she ordered it and we liked it. I was in a mood for dessert so got myself a Che Thai and it was good. Not as good as Bambu, but hit the spot. I was satisfied. The second time we visited, I had the rice plate with pork chop, shrimp and egg cake. Pretty darn good as I gobbled up everything in sight. We ordered egg rolls and they were beautifully presented. My wife had their short ribs pho and she said it was above average. This place is not cheap compared to other pho places, but the portion is bigger and quality is better than most pho places. I guess that justifies for the higher prices. We will definitely go back! I want to try more items on their menu

I thought it was just okay. I was pretty excited to try this place and it was underwhelming for me. Service was a little slow despite not that many customers dining. Ordered the spring rolls, chicken wings, and short rib pho both large and regular. I love a good pho spot and this wasn't it. Spring rolls were stuffed with shrimp, sliced pork and green lettuce. This was probably the best thing I had there. The chicken wings were over fried and hard to eat. The pho was missing the depth in the broth. It was missing a lot of flavor and felt basic. They added brisket in the rib bowl because there's hardly any meat on the bone. I needed more flavor on the boring broth.

Stopped by after a day of outlet shopping and this Viet restaurant really hit the spot! Service is friendly and efficient, servings are good sized, prices are decent, oh, and the food is great! The egg rolls were awesome! The pics actually don't do it justice- this is a must try!

After hours of shipping, it was nice to go across the street and have some Vietnamese food. We would patronize the former pho place at this spot but this one is better. Plus, the decor is nice. The food was tasty. We had chicken wings, short rib with rice (this did not come with soup broth) and beef pho. It took a bit for us to get our Thai ice tea so we ended up asking to put in a to go cup. We would come back again.

Located across the street from the San Francisco Premium outlets, this is an excellent Vietnamese restaurant! Try their menu item #1 House special Pho large: beef, tendon, brisket, tripe, and meatballs in a savory beef broth and thin rice vermicelli noodles. I also recommend their 3 piece egg rolls, with sweet chili sauce. Loved their Vietnamese iced coffee, which was strong but sweet. Lastly, I loved their Thai iced drink with jack fruit!

After a marathon day of shopping at the outlets, my pho cravings kicked in hard -- and this spot totally hit the mark! We came here because of the rave Yelp reviews, and wow... they weren't lying. The food was great! The dining area is spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated -- definitely gives off cozy-but-classy vibes. Service? Chef's kiss! Everyone was so friendly, upbeat, and genuinely made the experience 10x better. We ordered the bun bo hue, fried egg rolls, and a side of tomato fried rice. Everything was flavorful and satisfying -- broth had great taste and was comforting, and the egg rolls were perfectly crispy. The only miss for me was the rice; it didn't taste super fresh and had that slightly hard, sticky texture. Other than that, we left with empty plates and happy hearts. Already planning my next visit to explore more of the menu!

We were at the outlet and decided to stop by after a craving for pho came. They're located in the plaza directly next to the outlet. The first thing I noticed when coming in was how HUGE this restaurant was. Tons of parking available and it wasn't too busy during the Sunday evening we visited. I wasn't the biiiggest fan of the food; though, I'm probably spoiled by the pho spots that I go to in the South Bay lol. I felt like the broth was lacking, the meat quality was okay. I also tried their com tam / rice plate dishes, and I felt like the size of it did not justify the price. Nothing really wow'd me; overall, it wasn't something I'd go out of my way for, but it's location is definitely prime (and they have tons of variety on the menu, too).

First time trying Bun Rieu and it was delicious! It's more on the fishy side of course, but it's just what I wanted! Very flavorful and the smallest size is pretty big! (Portions are pretty big). They also have vegetarian options and other appetizers in the menu!

Found this restaurant on Yelp on our way home from San Jose. The restaurant was nice and clean. Service was good. My daughter and I ordered their combination pho and spring rolls. The pho broth wasn't as hot as I liked. And the spring rolls presentation was cute but it was just ok. I didn't like it with the green onion inside.

This was our first experience here, and honestly, it was pretty good! The ambiance was nicely lit with a bit of modern flare. I decided to go with the bún bò and my boyfriend ordered the usual #1. We started with the spring rolls, which was served with peanut dipping sauce in this stunning server tray. The sauce isn't too sweet and it paired perfectly. They gave us plenty of bean sprouts, limes, jalapeños, shredded cabbage, and basil to share. The soup is flavorful and they do give a decent amount of meat and noodles so you're not just drinking soup. I also ordered Vietnamese iced coffee to go, and it really just completes the lunch. I will admit that the price here are higher than your standard pho place, but both the service and food was good. If you're ever in the area and tired of fighting everyone during holiday shopping, give this place a try! read more

First time tonight and the food was amazing. The best Vietnamese cuisine in the Tri-valley. More authentic than most we have out in this side of town. Food was fresh and tasty. Portion was good. After a long day at the Outlet, we wanted something that was warm and convenient. This pho place is situated right across from the North Face store. Immediately upon entering, the space was nicely decorated and the ambience felt a bit higher end than most typical pho places. Browsing the menu, it became apparent that the monthly lease and decor was reflected in their menu prices (without trying their food at this point). It was $17 (advertised on menu) for a chicken pho! My party was in shock at the menu prices for all of their items. Nonetheless, we decided to give the food a shot. The items we ordered were good and the service was great, however we felt as though we could have received the same quality elsewhere for a much cheaper price. I also didn't notice at the time, but the menu prices and the receipt prices did not match. I originally thought it was the sales tax, but that was listed separately at the bottom. Not sure if it's a service fee, but I did not see this advertised anywhere nor was it mentioned by the server. So sad to give this small business 2 stars. read more

This has always been my go-to place for Pho. Always consistent, always good. Seating is comfy , service is good. The inside is nice with lots of natural light by the windows. A perfect place to get a hot bowl of Pho on a rainy Bay Area winters day. Parking in the back adds an added level of comfort when you are dining. I always order Phò Gai or seafood Phò so I can't comment on the beef versions, but for what I order, the broth is which for me is very important. read more

I don't know why this place is not 5 Stars. Food is awesome! Grilled shrimp... is really grilled well! Not all places that serve grilled food do it right, but this place did not disappoint. The pho is also tasty and not overwhelming. Service is top notch! Place is new and ambiance is very welcoming. All of the crew are friendly and helpful and fast! The previous times I went to Pho Ao Sen I had a good experience. This time I went on a Sunday night with family and did not have the best experience. We got the #25 rice plate, both the shrimp and meat were over cooked and hard. Our water cups tasted and smelt like it had bleach/sanitizer water left on them. I'm assuming they didn't rinse or wash off the cups after sanitizing them. Other than that the #12 pho is always good, as well as the Korean Short Ribs. read more

True to bold Vietnamese flavors. If you like your stuff whitewashed then this place is not for you. I've been 5 times in 3 weeks and everything has been great from pho to bun bo hue to rice combinations. They are still settling into the new location so I wish other patrons and reviewers would be gentler on the service side. Takes time to hit the groove and they are all still really friendly and eager to please. I live in Union City and have been up and down East Bay. Short of driving down to San Jose for some very specific dishes, this place hits the spot. read more

This was our first time dining here after discovering a new place to have Pho. I must say that this place has everything that is missing from our usual Pho restaurants. Beautiful and clean atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food. It might be a little on the higher end price wise, but for a nice and warm experience it's definitely worth it. It was my family's favorite place to have Bun Cha Ha Noi in Oakland at Ao Sen Restaurant, but unfortunately, due to a rise in crime, we haven't been able to go back. However, we were thrilled to discover that they have opened a third restaurant in Livermore and still offer the same dish on their menu. This new location allows us to enjoy their delicious food without worrying about safety concerns. We are grateful for their expansion and will be returning to Ao Sen Restaurant more often. read more

This place is truly delicious. I started going to Pho Ao Sen in Oakland 12 years ago and the delicious flavor has always stood out. I am absolutely delighted to see they have moved to Livermore! The ambiance couldn't be nicer with fresh orchids everywhere and beautiful light fixtures. The produce is always fresh, meats tender and desserts are never too sweet. Their crushed iced on anything is such a nice add too. So happy for this hard working family and hope they prosper for many years to come! read more

Welp I came back as promised and tried the bun Bo hue. Bun Bo hue is ok but I've had better. I brought my kids this time and they all got pho. I have 2 little ones that can't finish a whole bowl to themselves so it was nice of them to offer to make smaller bowls for each and say they would charge half price for them. Woulda been cool if they actually kept their word. As you can see the receipt I was charged for 2 normal sized bowls. I might as well have gotten normal sized bowls and wasted the rest as that would've been my right to. My older kid got the regular sized bowl and was charged that. Maybe he could've eaten more if the 2 little ones couldn't finish. It's really not about the money but about principle. They told me they'll charge me half price for smaller bowls but instead charged full price for both smaller bowls. I know it's not in the menu but he Shouldn't have offered if he wasn't gonna follow through. I didn't know till I paid and looked the receipt afterwards. I won't be back for a while till I can shake the feeling that I got played. There's plenty of other pho places around so that'll be a while. read more

This is one beautiful Vietnamese restaurant with its dreamy decor and stunning murals. Imagine enjoying your bowl of pho in this ambiance! My usual order is bun thit nuong cha gio. Let me tell you that I had my best bowl here! It came with a generous serving of barbequed pork, shredded lettuce and cucumbers. I also ordered the shrimp spring rolls as well as the tofu spring rolls and they were fancifully presented. I enjoyed the service too. I felt special even though I am just passing by. read more

I popped into this restaurant after hearing so many raves from my local Livermore friends. My expectations were far past exceeded with the beautiful decor, delicious pho, and the com tan we ordered. I have never had com tam with more tasty meat, and my tastebuds really were tingling. It was so good, no wonder why my friends were recommending it so highly!! The pho was hearty, a large portion, and very fresh. I didn't get the chicken pho but my friend told me that they source extremely fresh chicken that comes from the farm the same day!! Love it!! The broth tastes so much better than other phos I have tried in the east bay, I must know their secret ingredients!! The service was great too, and everything I ordered was delivered very speedily. A hidden gem. Delicious food and great presentation. We had egg rolls, spring rolls, #2 special soup , and combo rice plate #24. Everything had so much more flavor compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the bay. The entree portions are pretty huge. The hosts were very polite and smiling. Very nice interior and clean bathrooms. Would go back again. read more

Came here for a late dinner. I got the #1, which was a beef pho with a variety of meats. This place is amazing. The soup was flavorful, the noodles are cooked well, and the portion size was generous. The service here is also great. Although we arrived near closing time, the staff was polite and were willing to serve us with no complaints. I would definitely recommend coming here when you're craving pho. read more

I had the well done flanks, brisket pho, a beef rare pho, & my son had the chicken pho & fried egg roll. Egg roll was pretty good but wish they had a veggie option. My son liked his chicken pho, though it's pricey at $20. The pho needed cilantro or more lime, even after 2 limes. It had an after taste and made me get a headache. I get this when there's MSG. I hope they have an option without if it did. Wait staff was friendly but because of the pho, I give it 3.5 stars. read more

I have had the pleasure of dining on authentic Vietnamese in my life and Ao Sen is definitely it. The atmosphere is trendy and colorful, but intimate enough for a great date. The food presentations are visually appealing so you know you are in for a treat. The flavors are bold and fresh, not at all lost in the filling portions. I've been there for lunch and dinner, and I walked away very satisfied all 3 times. I know good, authentic food when I taste it and Ao Sen gets a 5 star rating from me. Kudos, Ao Sen! I can't wait to make my way through there soon. read more

Delicious food!!! We got the #33, #35, spring rolls, and #20. The quality of their meat is excellent, super tender and flavorful. Their pork has this excellent marinade that was the perfect mix of sweet and savory. Same goes for their chicken. The reason I'm docking a point is literally my own fault but I found the spicy beef pho to be really spicy so just be mindful if ordering that! The customer service was top notch, I believe we were chatting with the owner about flowers for a good 10 mins. Just a lovely atmosphere, environment, and most importantly, food! read more

We were excited to see Pho Ao Sen, a place we loved in Oakland, open up in Livermore. However, our excitement faded after our dinner experience. The ambiance was nice, and the service staff was friendly and attentive. But the food didn't meet our expectations. It's on the pricier side, with small portions and little meat. The taste varies depending on the dish. I tried the Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Hue Noodle), and it was a letdown. It was more like beef pho broth with hot satay oil and a few beef slices, missing the expected Hue cha (steamed ham) and tendon. Sadly, we're unlikely to return to this place. read more

So happy that we have a good family run restaurant nearby to go to satisfy our craving for delicious authentic Vietnamese food! My go to is the grilled beef rolls and the bun cha Hanoi It's such a nice restaurant to meet up with friends and family. It's a great weekend spot to get together and enjoy good food! The service is awesome with super friendly servers and it's a great place for group events for birthdays. They even made a special dessert for our birthday celebration! read more

The grand opening of this pho place left much to be desired. While the anticipation was high, the reality fell short with small portions. The super slow service further dampened the experience. To add to the disappointment, the prices were higher than the norm. Hopefully, as they settle in, improvements will be made to match the expectations. read more
