Food is great, the broth is super flavorful. The only thing is that this location is located in an odd neighborhood and the ventilation is really bad. The first thing you smell is old oil. We tried to order egg rolls as an appetizer but they were sold out. We came in half hour after they opened so I thought that was odd. My sister can't have rice noodles and typically pho places are able to substitute it with egg noodle but they sold out of egg noodles as well. Overall, their pho is good but we will not be coming back to this location. There's another location in Garden Grove area that is better. The only reason why we came to this one is because on Yelp, it's showed that this location is permanently closed. But, we drove by and we see people dinning in. I will definitely go back to the Garden Grove location the next time I'm in the area.

Delicious but worth $18 for a bowl of pho? I do appreciate a clean and bright restaurant but the sauce bottles were sticky. The strangest part was when the owner made a 15min phone call on full blast speaker for everyone to hear. After that experience, I am Surprised by the rave reviews. I doubt I'll come back.

It's like going over to the house of the token family chef without an invite but it's worth the risk for that soul saving Pho soup and yes, it's really all Wagyu!! Pho Akaushi Combo 10/10 ~$18 -first timer so gotta get the combo to try it all but I fear that after indulging, the combo is all I'll ever try bc it's all I'll ever need -meatballs and tender cubes, lean slices, fatty pieces of WAGYU swimming in a succulently supple broth with ribbons of bouncy noodles customized to ur preference of limey, tangy, spicy, hint of hoisin sweetness and bites of crunchy bean sprouts and fresh minty and leafy veggies -they've mastered the slowly simmered savory yet clean and slurpable broth and the offering of Wagyu only is delectable and elegant Spring rolls 8/10 -classic can't go wrong maybe I just prefer a bit more fish sauce in the meat -the crunch is loud and + for the bright fish sauce that comes w it The food is delightful but so is the service and the people. Came in with w my brother and parents and left with full bellies and full hearts thanks to Tom and crew. Thanks for the lunch time smiles and stories - we will travel from the valley for good food and even better business/people any time!

I'm used to traditional broths for pho, but Pho Akaushi's Wagyu is a game changer! The Wagyu does so much to the pho's flavor. It adds more of a umami flavor to the broth which is savory and sweet. It's something I'm not used to but was really delicious. The Wagyu itself was sooo good! The cuts of meat were tender and melted in my mouth. They give you a solid amount of meat, but I still should've ordered extra Wagyu, it's amazing. Service was nice too, the owner came up to me and chatted with me a bit, even offering a sample of some coffee he'd been working on. The people here seem very sweet and hard working - they definitely deserve your business!

Tampa family exploring Santa Ana and we stumbled across this gem. If you're looking for a quaint setting with big flavors this is the place!!! Eggrolls were spot on like there's a Vietnamese grandma in the back rolling them. So delicious!! Our party of 4 were sat immediately and food came out promptly service was perfect. We had the combination pho the brisket pho and the wagyu fried rice everything exceeded our expectations. Delicious flavors across the board!!

As an immigrated Vietnamese, it's hard to find a good pho place here but I'm glad I have discovered this place where the broth is very similar to my home country. The broth is packed with flavors. Meat was soft and tender. I also ordered fried rice and it tasted exactly like how my dad makes it. So glad this place is close to where I live. Good food and super friendly customer service. But it breaks my heart to see a good pho place is empty on a Saturday night. Please come support this sweet old couple if you guys ever want to try some good pho. A side note is that they are open, but it might be hard to find their location since their restaurant's name isn't light up for some reasons. But they are right next to Khaosan Thai.

Really glad I stopped by this shop. The interior was nice and cozy. All the tables and utensils were clean. The service was exceptional in regard to how pleasant and quick it was to order and receive my food in a timely manner. The broth was really good and fatty. It's because of the wagyu beef they're using. I'm usually not into wagyu gimmicks but this restaurant made sure the Wagyu was properly used in their dishes and not just as some flashy name to upscale their prices. The restroom they have for customers was very clean as well. Everything was fully stocked. Soap, toilet paper, towels. I bet if I took some home with me, they wouldn't notice. The owner Tom was great at checking in with his diners and treating them like friends and family.

First of all do your Yelp check-in to get a discount on combo pho which was delicious. The broth was probably one of the best we have had. Note to self do not come to a pho place and order a salad. The warm steak on top of the salad just wilted the salad ~ steak was tasty but would definitely pass on this dish. Also my salad arrived when everyone was almost done eating their pho. I would have taken a pic of the pho but my son finished the bowl !

Words cannot describe how delicious the pho at Pho Akaushi is. The meat that they use is so tender and you can tell they take great care in the quality of the meat! On top of delicious pho, the service is great! The owners are so kind! I will definitely be returning for more pho!

This little hole in the wall did not disappoint. Had the #1 Combo best quality meat of any Pho place for sure. Large portions. Service is fast and friendly. Every is clean but nothing special for the atmosphere but who cares when you're getting great food. I've Coffee was rich and delicious.

What a find! The beef was so tender and flavorful: I got the beef cubes which is actually succulent beef on bone and it falls off like butter. Staff was super attentive and friendly. Water was jasmine - infused which made my daughter happy. Broth was first - class. They use wagyu beef for their soups and the flavor shows it. Wait time was short. Will go again!

Friday night, and it is cold outside. What a special treat for me to enjoy a hot savory bowl of pho. Good consistent flavorful broth, well-balanced season and not salty at all. Also ordered 3 bowls to go as a special TGIF treat for my wife and family.

Massive parking lot so that was easy, one friend went ahead and let them know we had 10 incoming. They made room and we sat immediately. One of the spots that you scan a menu at the table and you review, order and pay all in the app. I was really not familiar with the line up and went with the "House Special Beef Pot Roodle" (Roodles are their rice noodles). It was a weekend only item and I tried that. The noodles came separate from the soup. Over all it was very tasty. The meat was a bit fatty and the soup had tendons too. I took that part home and my wife loved it. I tend to avoid the fatty meat and tendons are not good to me. 10 of us so some of the appetizers got passed around. The smashed cucumbers are excellent, and my buddy also got some friend potatoes of sorts, reminded me of a fat French fry. Because my buddy and I sat at the same table we scanned the same menu, he ordered a bunch of stuff and also House Special Beef Pot Roodle. That confused the kitchen and they asked me if I meant to order 2, I said no and didn't realize I cancelled my buddy's order. Part of the confusion of a large party and many scanned menu orders. My buddy was struggling to order and our initial waiter seemed to not understand my friend and that took a little bit to work out, young lady came from the back and was able to quickly resolve some of the confusion and get questions answered as needed. In the end he had lot of food to explore. One thing that caught my eye was several couples there and sharing a large soup item served with a tray of various food items for the soup. Kind of a date night visual and something that looked very interesting. Several couples around us had that same dish and its got me more curious. Might have to come back with my wife and try this one.

I ordered their most popular dish, the A1 set, but honestly, it didn't really live up to the hype for me. The broth tasted pretty underseasoned overall. From what I understood, you're supposed to mix all the toppings into the soup with the noodles, but even after doing that, I still felt like the flavor was lacking. Yes, they provide seasoning on the side, but personally, I wish the broth already had enough flavor on its own without needing to adjust it myself. Would I come back? Probably not. Nothing really stood out to me enough to return, and it felt more like a one-time experience. Overall, everything was just okay.

The restaurant itself is a bit on the small side so you'll be close to your neighbors not that it was an issue personally. My buddy and I ordered our items and shared with each other for a good full experience. We got the three-in-one noodles medium heat and the Ma Hu Beef noodles with mild heat alongside the cucumbers with medium heat as an appetizer. Cucumbers were very fresh! However, they really were just cucumbers with a little heat on them so they weren't anything too special. Once the main entrees came in, I couldn't stop myself from digging in! I forgot to take a picture until after some damage was done to our meals. Three-in-one was so flavorful and sweet with the noodles becoming incredibly soft after having mixed it all together. The star of the show for me though was the Ma Hu Beef noodles. The beef was remarkably tender and delicious and the noodles had a firmer texture that complimented with the flavors. Oddly enough, the mild heat on the Ma Hu Beef was spicier than the medium heat three-in-one! If you find yourself in the mood for Biangbiang noodles, this is definitely the spot to go to. On a side unrelated note about the parking which did not influence my review; the parking here is rough. It's consistently packed so watch out for that. There is a structure across the street that allows parking for the food court. I parked in the structure but I had a bad experience because since it's also parking for the residents above, the gate was closed on us after 8pm. I had to wait for a vehicle to come out and open the gate for not only just me but for multiple other people that had also parked in the structure!Just something to keep in mind. Hopefully that doesn't continue being an issue for future guests.

Came here because of Xiaohongshu and felt misled.

Idk if it'll be the norm, but it was for us when we showed up in June 2026 - there's a line queue out front where you wait and they have you order while you're waiting. Then, when a table is ready, they sit you down and serve you. Fast and friendly service! We were sat down to a table with a bunch of different sauces and spices. One of my pics shows the set up. Idk what anything was, as it was unlabeled, so probably worth asking. We tried two of their ramen bowls, gyoza, edamame, chicken karaage, and an extra serving of noodles. Everything was amazing! Plenty of food for two adults and two small kids to share. We paid at the register, which I'm also not sure is regular, but that's how it went. Just under $70 including tax and tip. Pretty good value given how expensive life is today!

I will say the noodles itself is very good. Tastes very fresh and you can just taste the tenderness as it melts in your mouth when you chew it. It is not too chewy or does not break apart too easily. We also tried the chashu in one bowl and the pork belly on one bowl. For about $20 a bowl I will say I was a little disappointed that it only came with one small piece of pork belly, which was a little too rough and chewy. The other bowl came with two very thin slices of chashu. However the chashu was really good! I would say one of the best chashu I have ever tasted. So tender and very flavorful. The broth itself was a miss for me. The red king spicy tonkotsu was salty, and the taste was just heat with little flavor. With the squid ink (Black King), I just felt like the flavor was missing. It didn't have any unique taste to it. I think I would go regular tonkotsu next time. The chicken karaage had a nice glaze to it and was very crispy! Tastes kind of like a honey sesame. Overall, very good noodles and chashu. Portion on the smaller side with little broth flavor (For red king and squid ink).

My go to is the combination beef with egg noodle, soup inside. If they have it, with a donut. Parking is not the best but if you can find it it's worth the wait. I frequent here at least twice a month. Even more during a cold day!

Maybe it's nostalgia or maybe they've just lost their taste buds. What really bothered me was the service. Why hand customers a menu if you're not even going to give them time to look at it? I had barely sat down before a waiter rushed over asking what I wanted. I told him I had just sat down and hadn't even opened the menu yet. He rolled his eyes and walked away. I kid you not....about 30 seconds later, another waiter came rushing over asking the same question. I felt rushed and annoyed at the same time. What's going on here? To be fair, I grew up eating here and have returned about three times as an adult. Unfortunately, each visit has been worse than the last. The restaurant seems to have no motivation to improve. The place feels dirty, the food is mediocre, and the customer service is pretty terrible.

They even offer tongue which I've never ever seen on a menu before except at my mama's house. I ordered just a regular bowl of bún bò huế. They give you so much meat, it's insane. Moreover, they include broth bones where there are still tiny morsels of meat still attached. As of it wasn't already giving my mama's house, you can also find nước mắm on the tables where you can concoct a whole dipping situation. Ten. What really sold me was #23 - tôm chua đu đủ Đặc biệt. It's so simple - fermented shrimp, pork belly, herbs, and some rice. This is my favorite comfort dish. The combination of papaya/shrimp, pork belly, herbs along with a bite of rice is the most perfect bite. Again, I've never ever seen this dish offered at a restaurant so I was absolutely beside myself. Not only do they serve this dish here, you can buy a jar of the tôm chua to go. Okay, bookmark this place and come tomorrow.

We got the bun bo hue and the banh canh with thick soup. Both dishes came out really fast in massive bowls. I was a little skeptical at first because the broth in the BBH looked pale, but was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it was. The banh canh was flavorful as well. Both dishes had a decent amount of meat. I inhaled every last drop of the soup. I will definitely be back!
