I'm a regular here! I come here all the time because the food is great and they have good service. I always get brisket & meatballs in my pho. I love their onions!!! Went to Pho Bistro thinking it would be comparable to Pho Bistro 2. I'm not sure if they're related restaurants, but if they are they're miles apart and that's not literal. It took about 10 minutes to be seated on a small table to the right as you enter the restaurant. It's very awkward as you stand behind a wall and can't see if there's any tables available. I sat at a dirty table and the waiter wiped it with an unsanitary rag that had a disgusting smell. I re-wiped the table with a wet napkin that I dipped into my water. Probably still unsanitary. I ordered the large pho tai with meat outside, $9.95. It came with 5 small pieces of meat. In my 23 years of eating pho, this is the least meat I've ever seen. I wonder how many pieces the regular serving had. 2.5??? It may as well been noodle soup, hold the meat. The meat was tough, so perhaps 5 pieces was more than enough. The broth was not good. You could taste the MSG right off the bat. I had dry mouth the rest of the day. This place was very crowded as I'm guessing it's the only pho joint in Waipahu. Also, it was a rainy and cool day, so perhaps people had a hankering for some pho as I did. Parking spaces were tight. I had to park on the street. The service was adequate. I was one of the last to come in and the first to leave. So the patrons tend to stay awhile making for people to wait outside. I think I'll stick to Pho Hoang Long in the CCP. read more

This is by far the best Pho place...well in my opinion... I've been to several different places on the Island and Pho Bistro has the best flavor, good portions, and low prices. One thing I love most about coming here is their server Dino. He's the best! Pretty much remembers our orders since it's literally the same thing every week. He's what I call perfect when it comes to customer service. The food is great. Seafood pho is bomb here. Comes with shrimp, calamari, crab and fish balls. Will always return here, the owners always greet us when we are here. The other workers also remember our faces each time we come. We feel welcomed and always enjoy our meals. Many of my friends and family say that Pho Bistro have the best Pho in the Waipahu area. It took me a while to come around the idea of checking out this place because: 1) It was in Waipahu and 2) Usually some of the best Pho is in China Town. ANYWAYS, my boyfriend and I spontaneously decided to check out this place for brunch. When I walked in the restaurant it had the typical Vietnamese vibe and decor. I like the fact that it was neat and clean and they even played good music too and not the typical instrumental music they play in china town lol. We both ordered the large bowl of pho and let me tell you, that was a pretty large bowl. The broth was seriously delicious and it could definitely go on it's own. I can not remember when I had a bowl of pho where the broth was that GOOD. Not only that, they provided a great share of meat, which adds major points in my book. BUT with my boyfriend, he actually liked the pho which is really surprising since he has high expectations. At the end of the meal, we usually order some vietnamese coffee. For some reason their coffee is different compared to the ones that I've tasted (in a good way). It had a nice creamy or caramel taste to it. I was never a big fan of pho until I came to Pho Bistro. This is the best pho I've tried. When I compare it to Cuu Long's, I'd say while Cuu has cheaper prices, larger servings, and are more generous with their meat, Pho Bistro's pho simply tastes better. Quality over quantity. My mother, a big pho fan, also agrees the pho here is delicious. Her only complaint is that they give so little tripe (1 or 2 pieces) when she orders her tripe-only pho. Came in on a Saturday night 20 mins before closing. Our server looked really irritated and tired. Looked like she wanted to go home and there were about 4 tables eating. This is my go to spot for the best pho in Waipahu. I usually get the pho combo with a side of spring rolls. The broth is clear and flavorful. They give a lot for the amount of money you pay. The meats and veggies are really fresh. Very friendly staff. Staff frequently check on you and keep your waters filled. They also do take out which I always pre - order for my whole family when we wanna eat at home during family dinners. They have a private lot which doesn't make parking at all difficult. read more

I love coming here. It's one of the best pho broths that I've tasted in waipahu. However sometimes they forget to come around to refill your water and stuffs. Other than that everything here is good. I only come for the Pho but my husband loves their rice dishes and my oldest daughter loves their spring rolls. I can't say that I've tasted anything else on their menu cuz they do have a variety. They even serve oxtail soup and garlic shrimp. But majority of the other I see that come here only come for the Pho. read more

The ambience isn't the greatest, the parking can be a problem, the neighborhood isn't the most inviting, customer service isn't the best, but isn't bad either, and lastly the food is great. My husband and I ate here for lunch the other week and we had a nice experience. I had the Special Pho and my husband had Pho with tripe. We both enjoyed our selection. We also ordered the Spring Rolls which were nice and crispy. The best part was the vietnamese iced coffee which was really sweet, creamy and ice cold. They bring it out to you ready made, in a plastic cup. I like other pho places where you get to watch the coffee brew through the filter and mix the condensed milk in a mug, and then pour it over a tall glass of ice. Service was great! read more

I dined here at lunch time based on previous reviews. The interior was comfortable, however the location (next to an adult store) was horrible. I only ordered an extra large bowl of Pho to share w/ my daughter. The broth here had a deeper beef flavor and a little richer than some of the other Pho restaurants that I have visited on the Leeward side. It was also a little greasier too. Overall I enjoyed it but it didn't knock my socks off. Edit- went back with my family for dinner and thought better of the pho the second time around. Pho Bistro is my go to place for a quick pho fix, very mediocre compared to other places but their pho hits the spot when I'm in need. This place is like any hole in the wall place, the facility is dirty, you can spot german roaches crawling around, sometimes a fly or two depending if the weather is hot outside, it cannot accommodate large volumes of people, the restroom is another story, the tables don't get wiped down and you can bet that their high chairs are in poor condition too. I honestly still go to this place because like I said, their pho hits the spot but if I had the choice, I always do a take out order. Last night, I placed my order at 7:13pm and the person who took my order said to give them 20 minutes. I didn't mind the wait but I was excited to eat my fresh dinner so I arrived at the restaurant at 7:35pm. On this particular occassion I had my family with me, my step daughter was put on the mission to go in the store to pay and pick up our order. I expected a quick deal; however, minutes ticked by. It was already 7:59pm and my two year old started complaining that he was hungry so my husband got out to check on what was taking so long. After ten more minutes, at 8:09pm, they finally emerged from the store. That seemed like an eternity. I would have been totally fine if they had said to come pick up my food within an hour but no...they said 20 minutes. When I asked my husband what took so long he said the staff stated they were waiting on our summer rolls but my husband said that they were dishing out summer rolls to three other dine I customers. read more

This place has good broth, and the service is fast. I'm a fan of thai iced tea which they serve here, but they just serve the can to you with a glass of ice for a price more than what they charge for selling it at Don Quixote nearby. I do appreciate that they have fresh chili peppers to put into your pho and a little bowl full of free candy near the cashier so that you can get something sweet on the way out. Parking is really tight, so expect to wait a little bit for parking if it's dinner time. read more

My fiancée and sister in law ate at this location on 11.21.2015 for lunch. I've ordered a fountain drink and while eating our pho I was waiting and expecting a refill for my fountain drink since its declared in the menu that we receive 1 free refill. No one even notice nor say that their soda machine / fountain drinks were out of order. Well yesterday visit was not expected. Very poor service. A heads up please improve your customer service. Didn't even know about this place until I chanced upon it on Yelp. We always to to Pho and Company in Kapolei which we like very much. Anyhow, almost missed this place, located back in the corner of one of Waipahu's mini strip malls. Walked in on a Thu night about 7 and half the tables were full. Several tables still had dishes and plates on them that had not been picked up. That sends an instant message. Waited several minutes before someone came to take our order. Wife ordered the small shredded chicken pho. Lots of noodles with the small bowl, which is a plus. But wife said she could taste lots of MSG. It was hot but not piping hot the way wife likes it. I ordered my favorite pork with spring rolls with vermecelli noodles. I liked the noodles because they were very light but were kinda oily. The pork was a little rubbery and not shreded. The spring rolls were okay. Overall, the experience was okay, though we probably won;t be going back anytime soon. We don't like walking into a resto and seeing half a dozen tables filled with dirty dishes. Service was slow plus the waiter simply plops the dishes on the table without a single word like enjoy your meal or who gets the pho. Very impersonal. Pho and Company in Kapolei remains our favorite for Vietnamese, where service is fast and friendly and where the tables are always clean. read more

This might be the only place in Waipahu that you can find pho. Well, that I know of. First of all, we had a reservation for 6:30 and we arrived there on time, but they had given our table to another party. So we waited around for them to put some tables together for our party. When we finally sat, my dad had to serve us our waters and drinks, bring us all menus and walk to the counter to order our appetizers. The food was good. Spring rolls were awesome, and the pho was great lots of meat (except that in the combo you only get one piece of tendon, my favorite). Another down side, is that they don't have that garlic chili paste, that I love so much. I've eaten hear before and I remembered that they didn't have it, so I carried a bottle in my purse. Whenever my boyfriend and I crave pho, we always come here because it's so convenient for us and the portions are great. We dined here many a time to know that the flavor of the pho is always consistent and I personally like the taste and texture of the steak because it's never hard or too chewy. The spring rolls and rice plates are also very delicious and do not disappoint. Most times I'll order Thai tea with my meal and get the rest to-go, the Thai tea is okay, I've had better. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is for cleanliness, they can put in a little more work in this area especially near the condiments on the tables. Service here is a hit or miss and I noticed the parking lot is a little different since the last time I visited. IMO, this is by far the best pho restaurant in Waipahu. read more

Unfortunately this used to be my "go to" spot for pho, until I found a hair intertwined with the noodles at the bottom of my soup bowl. I didn't want to cause a scene so I discreetly called over the waitress to show her and her facial reaction reflected the feeling in my stomach. She offered to replace my soup...but um...I seemed to have had misplaced my appetite somewhere, so I politely declined. I feel it would have been appropriate to have my whole meal comped, however, apparently since I found no hair in the spring rolls, I still had to pay for those. On my first dine in here the meat was cut so thick it was chewy and hard, not to mention seeing the damn veins in the meat was a real turn off. The broth was dark and murky yet it did taste okay. The vegtables were brown and bruised, the water had something floating in it and the condiments had flies hovering around it. I found another pho place just down the street, and i haven't been back since. I don't know how the pho base is here. I'm a vermicelli girl so this review is mostly based on that. One star off because I was bummed they didn't serve 'beef' vermicelli. That was the first in my life I've heard of that so I ended up ordering the grilled pork and it was actually tasty!
