It was cold day and also my husband's stomach was upset. So I looked for something gentle for dinner. Here I found one of my favorite meal Pho! This place is face to Main St. and there are street parking and garage parking front and nearby. The restaurant is cozy (little tight between table and bench chair for my husband LOl!) but feels clean. Menu has not only Vietnamese but also Chinese dishes. The service is simple and nice. We ordered combination pho and came shortly. Soup is good flavor, we had to loosen the rice noodles bit but cooked ok. Only one thing, I'd like to say I needed to mini dish to mix up hot sauces inside. I don't like to put hot sauces directly and at home we always use(usually set up on the table) small dish for the hot sauces. But overall, we enjoyed pho at Pho Bulous!!

This was probably the best pho I've ever tasted. The broth was so rich and flavorful, it was DELICIOUS. I'm normally not a beef broth girly, more a chicken broth girly, but this beef broth was amazing. We got the shrimp and chicken pho, they were both good. The bowls were huge, a good size for the price.

Pho Bulous really lived up to its name! Our old spot closed down to our dismay, so I checked the Yelp for a new spot near me. The owner was super nice and greeted us when we walked in. We ordered the vegetarian pho and one order was very generous with tons of veggies and the broth is delicious. We will definitely be back.

Dog friendly pho restaurant! 90 minute free parking in the structure. They have a tiny area outside to sit with your dog. Food taste a lot better than it looks. Pork vermicelli bowl: Pork is good, super tender and fragrant. I wish they gave more meat. The portion size is pretty good. Lomo saltado: The steak was a bit tough but the noodles were so good. Perfect amount of garlic flavor and not too greasy. Service: Was ok ... nothing exciting. Dine in and spend $20+ and get a free Thai tea or soda. Also note: If you sit outside, there is quite a lot of air pollution. People were smoking and cars emit pollution.

This is a place to come and warm up or fuel up! Grab it to go or dine in. The best part, there's two hours free parking and the structure which can be hard to find at the beach!!!! From the grilled pork spring rolls to the spicy handmade wontons, every bite was packed with flavor. The rare beef & brisket pho was everything I hoped for: cozy, rich, and full of soul. The house garlic noodles were garlicky with a bold Vietnamese twist Also, the lemongrass grilled short ribs? Literally the size of my face! I rounded out the feast with a creamy Thai iced tea and strong Vietnamese coffee, because no meal's complete without something sweet and bold to sip on. Service was quick, helpful and kind.

In search of a Vegetarian friendly Pho Restaurant? Check out Pho Bulous. The area is quiet for all of the peaceful people. You are greeted inside, in the corner of the room is a TV plays the FIFA World Cup. Staff were calm, not as much talk--which is perfect for an introvert. Good place to chill and eat. The location has quite a decent amount of space. Not too spacious but also not overly claustrophobic. Love the arrangements of chili sauce and Sriracha across the table. The take out boxes are secure and durable. The restaurant decorations are quite simple. Inside feels like a very asian restaurant vibe. Temperature is cool. My siblings had mixed reactions regarding the food. On one end, both my brother and mom loved the food and said it was a 10 out of 10. But me and my sister on the otherhand, say that the Banh Mi wasn't as enticing as we thought it was. However, the place is quite clean, so points for cleanliness. While the food didn't meet out expectations, I am willing to believe that there is more to the restaurant, and therefore, I will give it another chance. I think four is an appropriate rating because a majority of my reactions to the food depend mostly through personal ranking than objective, and the family loved it. I am not a fan of soft meat, which the banh mi had plenty of. The popcorn chicken we ordered was very crispy around the exterior, which is good--But the meat inside didn't taste striking. So thank you for the wonderful experiance, Pho Bulous.

There is only ONE spot in Huntington Beach for unique Vietnamese food and it's Pho Bulous! Really friendly staff and owners; the service is impeccable and the food is very unique and well-prepared. I had the shrimp spring rolls and the House Special Lomo Saltado: a Peruvian fusion dish I have only ever tried here. The portions are generous and there is always food to take home. An excellent local find! Easily accessible to the Huntington Beach Pier just a stone's throw from coffee, bars, and one-of-a-kind stores on Main Street... and they've even got beer on deck! Give this place a try!

LOVE LOVE! Was so excited to see a Pho place on main street. Me and my boyfriend were so hungry after so drinks and Pho never disappoints. The pho sobered us right up ! We ordered Pho Rare Beef, Thai Iced Tea, and popcorn chicken. Service: Self seating. The only item that took long to come out was the popcorn chicken. They make it fresh and it tasted very well. I just wish it would have arrived sooner because we didn't get it till we were all done with our pho and had to sit there for 10 more minutes. It was worth the wait though. Ambiance : I'm not sure if the women there is the owner/manager but she was so nice. She was talking to all the customers and I overheard her say they have been open for 7 months. Im glad to see something new down on main street and I hope for the best of this restaurant!

Decided to go for Pho today in downtown Huntington Beach and this is a new restaurant in town that I thought I'd try. Got in there a little bit before six and it was pretty empty and I decided to go with the chicken pho based on the pictures I had seen for some of the steak ones which looks like I have a little too much fat. My order was taken promptly and served to me in about 10 min. Is there a small little restaurant but you can tell it's well decorated. Overall, I thought the pho was pretty good, I've eaten the same dish at many places, and I had no complaints, the chicken was shredded and good quality, the broth was good and there was ample amount of meat and noodles. If anything, I would hope that they would give you some more sides to put into the fall, but I'm sure that if I requested it they would've

Super happy that there's an authentic viet restaurant here on Main Street finally! I came in for dinner time and was very pleased with the attentive service and great quality of food. So many option to choose from but I settled on the Filet Mignon Shaken Beef and my boyfriend got the Pho combination. We shared some shrimp spring rolls and I really liked the dipping sauce! The filet mignon was well seasoned and extremely tender. I really enjoyed this dish and am salivating thinking about it now hahaha. My boyfriend enjoyed his pho too and said the broth was very clean and flavorful. The meat inside the pho was also very tender. Perfect for a hangover. I want to give this place 4 starts so bad.... I didnt based on inconsistentcy. I love pho. I like this place as the broth is very good. It's flavorful and had a lightness to it. . The problem is sometimes it's excellent and sometimes there's hardly any meat. My son's had the same feedback regarding the banh mi. It makes me wonder if different cooks are in the kitchen etc. But overall I like it and when I don't feel like driving to Westminster to my regular spot, I will come back here. The owners are very nice and I'm happy to see good pho in HB finally. read more

This pho place is FABULOUS! Pho after a hot trek down on the beach just hits a special spot. There's nothing like it! Service is amazing, our server was very friendly and informative. 5/5 would recommend! We had Pho Fillet, popcorn chicken (no spice) for the kids, and the sizziling steak and eggs. Pho is amazing for all occassions but after a hot day at the beach, it was to die for. The VN sizzling steak is a must try! If you have never had it before, or haven't had it since that long ago VN trip, this will bring you back. The flavorful steak and baguette is an exquisite combination. The popcorn chicken? My terrible 2's who lives on air and sunshine ate most of it, so we might have to come back everyday, who knows! read more

This is the best pho that I have had. Very flavorful & good portion size. One thing I do have to say IF YOU ARE IN A RUSH THIS IA NOT THE PLACE They were not busy but we ended up getting our appetizer last lol didn't really bother us because we were enjoying downtown & we are local so we didn't mind the wait or order of the food Even with this small set back on the wait times I wouldn't change my 5 star and have been back a few times since. read more

My sister and I went on a Friday date with grandma. She is very difficult when it comes to foods especially Pho, but she approved it. I got the grilled pork vermicelli and it was super delicious and tasty. My grandma got the combination pho and she said it is not as salty as other Vietnamese pho places that she tried before. My sister got the House Special Lomo Saltado, she loves it so much that she had to order another one for togo. The portions here are so big and we were so full after lunch. Staffs here are really nice and friendly. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to all my friends and family. read more

The wife and I had lunch at Pho Bulous today. As neither of us had ever had Pho before and we hadn't been down town Huntington Beach in a little while, we thought today would be a good chance to do it. Pho Bulous as a nice small restaurant with in-door and limited out-door seating. It is quit pleasant and the single server was friendly and attentive, without be over-bearing. We told her we were newbees and she explained the items on the menu, simply. We both had PHO with beef. I have nothing to compare it to other than to say the bowl was larger, filled to the brim and very yummy. Not fond of the Vietnamese ice tea, but is more a matter of taste. read more

Came here with my in laws four lunch. Three of us got pho and the other two got the garlic noodles. The garlic noodles were very tasty, and I enjoyed my pho. They have the usual condiments and herbs, the only thing I would have liked to add was cilantro which was not there, but they did have the sweet basil and lemons and jalapeno. The service was good, but it looks like they mostly have take out orders as we were the only group sitting there for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant itself is small and they had two tvs set to a cooking channel, but otherwise it was fine for a small group. I had another wonderful experience here today. I have to recommend the Garlic Wings and the Shaken Filet Mignon. The wings are crispy and very tasty. Recently stumbled a new Vietnamese restaurant on Main St in Huntington Beach. It's walking distance from the pier, serving some delicious authentic Vietnamese dishes. Delicious and authentic! We ordered Pho and the crispy spring rolls and both came out quickly. The food was so so good, they definitely use high quality ingredients. The location is great! We went on Fourth of July and while everything was busy they were taking care of us very well. Everyone was super kind and very attentive. It was a great little escape from the chaos of the Fourth of July festivities right outside. I'll definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. I was starving after being at the beach for a few hours and saw this place and I did not hesitate to get pho. It was past my dinnertime so I chose the one with the less amount of ingredients which is the plain pho and oh lawd did I gobble it up! I loved the minimalist ambience. Score a free Thai Iced tea for checking in on Yelp! The egg rolls were nice and tasty filled with plenty of pork and shrimp. Skimpy on the pickled carrots which I love to eat - no even a spoon full. The vermicelli bowl was good. More noodles than meat but the meat is well seasoned. The garlic fried rice is good and this is a huge serving. Garlic wings are crispy and the dipping sauce is very nice. Only thing is I don't like seeing fried feathers. I'm gonna pick them off and eat this. I was very surprised by this place! Nice to have a pho place on Main Street. Service was slower but seems like they may be a little understaffed as there was one girl running around doing everything. If you aren't in a rush I recommend it for a yummy bowl of pho by the pier! Would come back read more

Great Experience! Stopped by while visiting HB with family and found this place while walking by. My wife had the Pho combination, and I had the Chicken Pho. Our kids shared our Pho and had Spring Rolls as well. We all enjoyed our food. The Food was delicious; you could tell the broth was simmered for a long time and the meat was tender. Saw this place as my partner and I were walking down Main Street during HB's weekly night market on Tuesday. They were giving out samples in front, so we decided to check the place out! The interior is clean, modern, and super cute inside. I ordered the pho combination and my partner got the house special lomo saltado and spring rolls as an appetizer. Their peanut sauce is on point and the pho combination is definitely the most authentic in the area!! The lomo saltado fries were crispy and the beef was tender and flavorful. Most places will accommodate the side of rice with your food, this place will not and it's upwards of $4 total for what essentially looks like a half cup of rice. They advertise for "jumbo crab" rice in the photos I supplied and the parentheses are used to infer that you shouldn't take the picture as exactly as it's shown. It's a marketing technic to justify the expensiveness of a dish with premium ingredients and that at any given time market value will affect the amount of the premium ingredient or they are somehow justified on not delivering what they're advertising for by showing pictures. As you can see, this was about $20 for basic fried rice. I even combed through the entire plate thinking I'd find something and there was none. It tasted like crab, which means there may have been small pieces that you couldn't tell were in there, but this was a total scam that day. I don't post unless I'm entirely unhappy with an experience and I think this restaurant deserves me highlighting this. On top of that, I came in to a server chatting with someone at their table, which is fine if they're on a break and not my business when it comes to customer service. Someone came out and seated me, but this first server decided to step in and give me my receipt and thanked me for coming in. It was so ingenuine/looking for a tip for doing the bare minimum until it helps you that I gave them nothing extra in a country that believes in tipping culture, particularly for the food I just ate. I would advise patrons to ask them specifically what they're ordering when it comes to this item and if it's not up to par with the picture, send it back. I'm a firm believer personally in letting you bury yourself and then I'll make sure people know about it. Terrible experience.
