Very flavorful. Great Chow Fun (J1) with beef, shrimp & chicken. Tried the B3 soup-didn't realize it would have so many vegetables-but the flavor was great and there was a wrapped meatball too. I couldn't find the Chinese restaurant I was looking for, but luckily turned into this small shopping center where Pho Chopstix is located. I took a chance, and the 3 dishes we had were absolutely YUMMY! Eggrolls, Shrimp Chow Fun, and Family Style Tofu. The service was super fast and cordial. I was a little wary based on the reviews regarding the slow service. But I wasn't in a hurry and had my Kindle so I figured what the heck. It was some of the fastest service I've ever had! The waiter was there almost as soon as I sat down to ask what I wanted to drink and bring me a menu. He was efficient and friendly. I ordered the crab rangoons and the chicken pho. I barely had to wait for the rangoons - I was shocked at how quickly they came out. And they were delicious! I was about half way through those when the pho arrived. HUGE bowl, chicken was tender and the broth was light beef broth as opposed to a vegetable or chicken broth so it had a little different flavor. I enjoyed it immensely. Pho broth comes out very dark. Theirs no aromatics being used for the building of their broth. Anyone with a decent palate can taste the fish sauce in their pho. Definitely no ginger, cinnamon or anise being used. It's so disappointing. I'm pretty these guys are using a pho base that's store bough. The food and service here is very good and the atmosphere is pleasant. If you like soup I highly recommend the #27 flame broiler Pho. It is super tasty and I add several Jalapeños and sirachi sauce for a little extra boost. We usually get spring rolls and lettuce wraps too. Other favorites are #41. Add the sauce to the noodle bowl and some sirachi sauce for more heat. I ask for basil on the side. I asked the owner about the noodles as they are different than other locations. He explained these are a higher quality noodle and more expensive as they hold their shape if they are in broth. They don't quit and get mushy. They are soft and very tasty. The Orange Chicken is a kiddo favorite with their high quality white rice on the side. My kids also like Dragon appetizer which has cream cheese in the center. Today my friend got the braised short ribs which come on a sizzling plate with some sides as well as white rice. Very delicious. The calamari is really good with the wok style vegis and jalapeños. Beer we usually order TsingTao which is a develoby Germans and is a good Pilsner. read more

Stopped by here on the way back to Norcal from Mammoth Mountains. Easy and quick service. My Gf and i both got the Pho and it was bomb. Little family owned spot and the vietnamese food was extremely authentic. 10/10 would recommend. Try the pho combination if you like quality meats. read more

We're not local, we're just passing by & were caught in a blizzard the night before and had to stay overnight in that town so we're so happy to see Vietnamese restaurant but the guy who took our orders (looks like the owner), was not very friendly even though I spoke Vietnamese to him. He was rude and didn't look like he needed customers, business must have been good for him being the only Vietnamese restaurant in the area or something. Food was ok nothing special, everything was too salty, poor service, only 1 waitress working, food took too long. They brought out incorrect orders for our kids and he was rudely argued before replacing the correct order for them. We're only passing by so they will never see us again but I would not recommend anyone passing by to stop by this restaurant, sorry they didn't earn my renewal business, best of luck read more

Great pho, even more so to be in the Carson Valley. Stopped in today and got the shrimp pho, mom got the wor wonton, which looked amazing. The broth is super taste and has notes of five spice that goes well with chili paste and soy sauce. They offer the basil and bean sprouts as well as cilantro to top off your pho. The inside is pretty nice and the menus are super cute with chop sticks on them. The summer rolls always taste super fresh and the peanut sauce is good but needs a little chili paste to make it perfect. The service is really good and I never had an empty glass of water, the potions are also huge and normally two to three meals per pho order. To go is also very good. Over all the most authentic place in the valley area and mom and pop owner, which is also a play in my book. Lastly orders come out very quickly. read more

I walked into the restaurant and the food was just being brought to the counter. I have never written a negative review of any restaurant in my life until tonight. I took a friend out for her bday dinner and we arrived at 5:30. They place was basically empty. A woman took our order and and then the young man that brought it. No one ever came back to check on us. By now they are very busy but I think we have been totally forgotten between the two of them. I ordered the same dish I alway do, lemon vermicelli with veggies and tofu and have had it at least a dozen times. They have never asked about how hot I wanted it, and it has always been consistent, a sweet chili sauce with just a hint of heat. Tonight it was so hot I couldn't eat it. I finally flagged the same young man down and he assumed I wanted a box, but I told him I couldn't eat my food as it was way too hot. He said "So what do you want me to do?" and I responded "I would like to be able to eat my dinner can you please bring me one that isn't so hot." He begrudgingly snatched up my dish and walked off. Out comes round two and is very light on the veggies this time and when he sets it down scolds me and tells to tell the server next time how hot I want it. As I said, it's never been an option or asked of me, it just came out the same every time and was just right, except tonight. Then we sat there for another 30 minutes, again no one came to check on us or refill our water or bring a check. I finally had to just got to the cash register and stand there for a long time to pay my bill, and it will be the last bill I pay there. I don't recall ever having such a rude server or poor service. I gave two stars only because there were many times before tonight that I enjoyed it. Being polite to. customers is such an easy thing to do. read more

This is my go to place for good Pho. My husband is not a fan but says the Chinese is good there. This appears to be a family run business, but they are not really into it. Not sure if it is a language barrier. I am allergic to limes and they put limes on the water they bring. I tell them no limes and it always comes with a lime. You would think, as often as we eat in there, they would remember that I always return the water for no lime. read more

This place is awesome! This place is the best place for Chinese in the Valley. I work nearby, but have never looked at it. I walked in- huge surprise- very nice. The lunch special is $6.75 and it is very good. The service is ridiculously prompt and they get the food out to you very fast. Three and a half is the right rating for this establishment. The soups are pretty good the other dishes not so much. The spring rolls are pretty good and the accompanying peanut source is good. Unfortunately they lack any dense of service. They are mostly focused on their carry-out service as they neglect the table service, or a good greeting for the phone or pick ups. One on occasion I asked the server on why type of bread the Vietnamese sandwich (Bahn Mi) and he didn't know. It's supposed to be made with rice flour. So I didn't order it. Yak! My cat food has better meat. Their spare ribs are burnt to a cinder. The lemon grass beef is chewy and not lemon grass at all. What Vietnamese don't know how to make rice noodles?
