The tea was the first one to come out. I added my sweetener and squeeze the lemon. It was perfectly brewed. Lately, it seems like a lot of places serve iced tea that is more like water than tea. This was very flavorful and rich with tea taste. The egg rolls came out next. They were a little on the small side, but they were absolutely fresh and delicious. I did my usual stab with a fork maneuver and poured some of the sauce into them. They were still way too hot when I took my first bite. I let them cool down a little bit before finishing them off. They were very good with just the perfect amount of filling. I could taste each of the components they were the kind I really like. There's nothing worse than biting into an egg roll and getting overcooked innards! The pho was definitely the star of the show. The broth was excellent. It was loaded with more meat than I've seen recently when I've eaten at other places. The bean sprouts and basil were very fresh and plentiful. The restaurant was very clean and modern. It seemed like only one gentleman was working there. There were only four tables in use when I went, and he handled them very well. I will be back for sure.

I love this restaurant a lot, I used to talk to the Grandpa way back in the day. He let me put some of my art up in his space next door long time ago. Today I went again and had some really good Grilled Chicken Lemongrass Vermicelli, I also had some Thai Tea which is so good and I wanted the Boba with it. They have so many kinds of foods of all kinds of tastiness, they are expert at Pho. I go here every season, crunch time is in the winter with Pho's but they are amazing year round with so much variety in the menu. I highly recommend them because they are the best. This Family business is beautiful, they take the time to care for customers, I am always greeted with smiles and courtesy. It has been over two decades of me loving this place. Take your friends! I had even bragged about it to my partner the day before and how I wanted to take him there to try it. I had probably three bites of it and then paid out and left, abandoning my food completely. In retrospect, they didn't even ask why I was closing out with an essentially untouched meal. I've never done anything like that before. Our visit was about an hour to an hour & a half before closing time. Service: It seemed like there were only two people operating at the time of our visit. One person was taking orders, working the register and bussing the tables. Then, another person came out from the kitchen to help clean out right before closing. I believe that it is for this reason some of our orders came out incomplete including a Spring Roll to-go order without the peanut sauce. This place should have two working the entire floor at all times to provide sufficient service. Food: I go to Pho restaurants often and the servings at Berni--well, you get less than what you pay for. The broth of my soup noticeably topped off a lot lower than usual. The amount of meat and noodles was not near generous either. You can also see the contents of the Spring Roll after a bite (photo). The taste is typical Vietnamese as it should. No complaints on that. Cleanliness: I noticed the outer side of one bowl was still dirty (photo). Dear Berni, Your food is not bad but I think there are changes that need to be made. Honestly, I don't think I'll be coming back but improve for the sake of future customers. You have upside potential.
