This is one of the places I've been visiting for the last 10 years. I did take a 1.5 year absence after they switched ownership, but returned a few months ago. The broth is amazing and the bowl is huge, the XL will get most eaters stuffed. Meat quality is pretty good and they give plenty of veggies on the side. Service is typical asian service where they take your order and forget about you, if you do order iced tea they usually provide a refill cup before you leave. It's a popular lunch spot with mostly locals eating here and it's been a very consistent place with good quality Pho any day of the week. Definitely an eat and go type of establishment. Usually on the weekday it's pretty open but during the weekend during lunch hours it can get busy, but the line moves very quick.

My wife and I's favorite pho spot in the SGV. The rare occasion we do get to go on a date and we want some pho we come out this way. Have been coming here for a long time. Small business so everyone is always friendly. No matter the time we come there's always people here so that's a good sign right? Haha From the rice dishes, to pho, to bun bo hue, to many other items. Nothing on the menu has disappointed. Viet ice coffee is good as well. Prices are cheap in today's world. Looking for good food and to fill your tummy then this is it!

Are they sisters to Pho Filet 2 on San Gabriel Blvd? If they are I prefer no.2. Large bowl of PHO is plenty and next time I'll get the smaller bowl. I'm not a connoisseur of Pho but for me it was pleasant! For ambient just ok nothing fancy. Come give them a try. !!

Came with a friend and decided to try this place due to the high reviews and it being close by the freeway. Parking was easy as they have a lot. It is located in a sketchier area of El Monte so just be careful and weary. I went inside and was greeted by the lovely aunties. They spoke to me in Cantonese which I thought was funny as they noticed I didn't speak Vietnamese. I ordered the #17 and they had an option of cooked or raw bean sprouts. I never got asked that before so thought it was nice the bean sprouts are cooked prior to adding them to my soup. Meat and noodle portion were decent but the broth was okay. After I finished it, I noticed that there was a lot of fat that lingered at the top of my bowl which was a bit gross. For the price, it is fair and cheaper than other pho places I normally visit (Golden Deli/Saigon Eden). However do note that there is a 50 cents extra charge if you pay with credit card. Bring cash to avoid that.

Scary. It's very dirty. I couldn't finish eating. I should've noticed the B rating before eating. The staff need training on cleaning and washing hands.

If you want a quick spot to go to grub on some pho, this is the place to be! They're friendly customer service and are also fairly quick w the food service. We ordered two pho beef one small and one large with a good portioned size as well as fried rolls as our sides. I love their rolls! Happy to come back here everytime!

Pho tai, gan , Bo vien with a side of sliced onions!

Feels like a family member serving you home cook meals. Cute clean area. They have tables for 6 here! They have more than just pho. But I had to order the Pho today. Can't pass up a this pho bowl.

This place may be called a "Pho" restaurant but we really came here for the broken rice ("Com tam") plates. We ordered a couple of different rice plates, but pictured are two popular choices: 1. Com Dac Biet: this is the special plate that basically comes with a little of everything. It includes shredded pork ("Bi"), the tofu skin shrimp ("ta hu ky"), Chinese sausage, and egg/meatloaf ("cha"). All items were prepared well and portion sizes were generous and made for a satisfying meal! 2. Com Suon: pork chop ("suon") over rice. The portion size for the plate was amazing. They give you two large chops, which you can really share with two people or save one for lunch the next day. Other items we ordered (but not pictured): 1. Pho Dac Biet: very large bowl of pho. Broth was tasty and amount of noodles and meat (brisket, beef slices, tripe, tendons) were plentiful 2. Pho Bo Kho: an equally generous sized bowl! Plenty of beef chunks and tendons. The only small negative could be the "oily-ness" of the broth. That could be a turn off for some. Service: great service from the staff. They're very efficient and responsive. Food came out very fast. Even faster had we all just ordered Pho, but since we had rice plates that required some dish preparation, that took a few minutes longer. Parking: this restaurant is located on a corner, in a very small strip mall where there's two other businesses next to each other. The parking is limited and can be a little crowded. But fortunately, this is near a neighborhood where you can find street parking as long as you're willing to drive walk a little. So overall, this is a GREAT place to grab a bite if you are in El Monte. It's so much more than a Pho restaurant. Try out the rice plates...you won't be disappointed!

The best authentic Vietnamese food in the area. They speak English, Cantonese, mandarin and Vietnamese. Parking lot is small but adequate. Hole in the wall place but food is absolutely delicious. Price not bad as well. Star of the nice was the grilled pork chop. Don't come expecting fancy interior. Bathroom is outside in another hallway

Came here for dinner recently with a group of 4. We ordered Pho Dac Biet among other things. The Pho Dac Biet was the only thing I tried so I'll only comment on that. Ordered the XL size, lots of meat and noodles. They fill the soup/broth all the way to the top of the bowl, submerging everything. So don't be fooled by the pictures. There's lots of ingredients underneath. Only thing is, the soup was just slightly hotter than warm. It wasn't piping hot like I'm used to at all the other places I've been to. So a little disappointing there. Complimentary iced/hot water or iced/hot tea. The tea was very strong and floral. I loved it. Water tasted like filtered water. Free parking in parking lot or street parking. Good service. They speak Vietnamese and English.

They had a Chinese menu and a Vietnamese menu. Honestly, it was a tough choice. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls , and the bun Bo nuong cha gio. The dishes were prepared with quality and patience. Lots of regulars in the restaurant it seemed. On this night , there were short staffed and I had to remind my server about my order a few times. The manager came out to apologize. She was a very good manager and handled things well. She offered me a discount, but I refused. Instead, she gave me a refreshing watermelon drink on the house. I will come back, next time I'm in town.

I grew up eating pho in Saigon and IYKYK, the pho in North America vs in Saigon are distinct. One isn't inherently better than the other, it's just a matter of taste. But, I was very pleasantly surprised that the pho here comes very close to pho in Saigon, a taste I've often craved (and this is also how I cook pho at home), but haven't been able to come across in North America. Didn't think I'd find it here in the SGV vs in Orange County where I lived for 10+ yrs. Broth at Viet Huong is richer vs the clear broth favored at most places here. The brisket (thịt chín) has a little bit more fat to it which makes it less dry, cut with a meatier cut vs paper thin. The rare beef is minced a little. All the good things that remind me of the good old Saigonese pho flavors. The staff is very friendly. They all speak English really well which made me doubt the authenticity of the food (lol) but that worry was put to rest soon after my pho bowl came out. This will become my new favorite pho place.

We ordered the Grilled Bloody Clam w/ Green Onions, Scorched Rice Topped with Pork Floss, Thai Seafood Hot, and Grilled Garlic Butter/Pepper Escargot. The escargot and the blood clams were fun to eat. They both come out on sizzling plates. The escargots were chewy and garlicky, while the blood clams were juicy. Both were flavorful on their own, without the sauces. The Scorched Rice Topped with Pork Floss was crispy and crunchy. I loved the texture of it. There were also additional toppings on the rice, like Chinese sausages. The Thai seafood hotpot is not like the Vietnamese sour soup with catfish and tamarind, by the way.
