I know the name of this place is called Pho Filet and it seems most of the reviews talk about the Pho.... but I highly suggest you go beyond the Pho and try the Com or Bun menu too. These dishes also come with a bowl of clear soup as well but its not the Pho broth yet I'm sure you can request Pho broth instead? I ate here for the first time last weekend with the family. They had all eaten here before and while I ordered the Pho Duc Biet + Bo Vien (which was good) none of them ordered Pho. Thus, I was able to try three other dishes on my first visit (see my pics). In short, the shrimp paste, grilled beef, and charbroiled meatballs are all good whether you get them in the Com or Bun. The place is pretty small and it seems to always be busy. It is a hole in the wall like most Asian places, but this one is a bit less clean than I prefer. While waiting for our table OUTSIDE, there were a group of flies hovering (and my sister noted that was also the case on her prior visit). They have a 'B' rating as of February 2011. It's CASH ONLY but the prices are very fair especially since portions are generous. Come hungry. Be ready to wait for a table and bring Purell to avoid using the bathrooms if possible. They are not the cleanest and not that easily accessible as you have to exit the restaurant to get to them. read more

This place was ok but I expected better. Had the filet mignon pho and spring rolls. The Pho gets 4/5, solid broth and noodles but the meat was ground and not as fresh as I've had at other places. The Spring Rolls get 3/5, good taste but had a funky smell. The peanut sauce was solid. This place was authentic but I think I will try a few other Pho/Vietnamese spots in the area before I come back here. Eggroll was soggy when I came back to work, the fish sauce that it comes with was bland and could use more flavor, the meat was half fatty and half good. Not enough of the vegetable and fresh herbs, i love that stuff and that makes your noodles smell nice. But this place is not known for this dish My coworker order the pork chop rice for her son. So im not sure how their rice would taste like. Anyways, this is my 2nd time coming here. First time was with a friend and I ordered their pho. I love pho. This is one of my go-to pho places when in the 626. It is a hole-in-the-wall and a bit dated, but that is what makes the food even better! My go-to dish is the vermicelli. I really enjoy the authenticity of taste and it really separates itself from the other pho restaurants by the quality of their soup. There are always a lot of people at this restaurant. The restaurant was in my way home and I thought it would be more busy but it wasn't! I was greeted by these two lovely ladies. Ordered the small Pho dac biet. It wasn't that busy so I got my two orders within 10 mins or so. The broth was tasty but could be a little bit better and even though it was a small, I think one order is shareable if you don't want too much meat. The noodle was way more than two servings, they probably gave me about 3-4 servings (uncooked) I still have some left over. Price is just about the same as any other place. If you're in the area or want pho, this place is good to stop by, not much of a wait and friendly staffs. read more

I do not recommend this place at all! They have horrible costumes service and the food even worse. I have come twice and both time have been bad. I found a hair in the food the first time and now they gave my soggy noodles, old egg roll, and meat that literally taste like soap. I won't ever buy from here again. Came here w/ the in-laws because they know wassup! So good! I like my beef a little rare in the pho, so it cooks when you drop it in. Yummy broth, and fresh veggies to put on top. This is a great place for authentic and cheap pho. The portions are HUGE too, especially if you order an XL, which is only a dollar or two more than a Small. The filet mignon pho is different than the typical pho, but still delicious with the very soft, tender meat and rice noodles. We also ordered a few drinks- the durian smoothie and young coconut juice. The durian smoothie was creamy and rich in flavor, but the young coconut juice was far too sweet for my liking, even after it was diluted when the ice melted. If you like sweet drinks though, definitely give it a try! The only thing that would stop me from coming here is parking. The parking lot itself is super small and only a few spots are reserved for the actual restaurant. Street parking is also very hard to find and we ended up parking 2 blocks away and walking. they really changed . I think the owner or their head chef left . The broth is bland now. i had to add salt because it tasted so watery. Never had to do this before . They raised the prices to 13$ with tax per pho (XL). If you are going to raise the prices keep the quality as good , but im disappointed to see it like this now. Might have to find a new Pho spot. There are two locations, so make sure to check the location when you order. This one has a tiny horrible parking lot. When I went, there weren't many people there. So I was in and out quickly. Also they have a 50 cent transaction fee to use credit cards. Secondly, they packed my food weird and kept falling over in the car. Luckily the broth didn't spill. Wow super impressed with the service and food here. Been eating pho all my life growing up in little Saigon, Orange County. This place however is now one of my top three pho places. I usually get the fatty briskets and meatballs when I eat pho. Let me tell you, this place has the broth and meats at amazing authentic quality. The broth is rich and flavorful. The liquid is clear, not cloudy, and you know it's made with real bones, not season packets. The meats are sliced thinly and perfectly tender and juicy. All the veggies that come with pho is there. Also ask for the fatty broth and side of vinegared onions. You dot even need to add hoisin sauce into the broth. Will definitely come back again when I'm in the area. It was my first time coming here and I love pho. I would hear about how good this place was back in high school so I decided to come 7 years later. My first impression of the place was it was not very clean. But I did see they were busy and they had so many people coming at the same time. So I decided to sit down and order. The next problem was that there were too many flies flying around. I kinda felt disgusted because they were landing on the silver wear and sauces. The 3 lady server did not seemed bothered by them. The outside is unassuming and the parking lot is a bit rundown but this is one of the best bowls of pho that you can get in the SGV. Look for the building painted in a garish yellow. I ordered the #17 with brisket and rare steak and it really hit the spot. They give a lot of meat, I was surprised at how many pieces of brisket I kept digging up from the bowl with my chopsticks. Noodles were cooked PERFECTLY! It wasn't mushy and had that bite to them. Broth was deeply beefy and heavily seasoned. Could taste the underlying complexity of all those good charred spices. I also ordered the Bahn Xeo to split with a friend. The crepe was appropriately crispy, but the filling was a bit greasy. It's quite a large serving for only $8.00. Don't think I would order this again. Also props to them on their Sate Chili sauce. It's appropriately funky and salty and goes great as a dipping sauce. Sometimes Sriracha and hoisin can feel too #basic, ya know? The beauty of this place? 2 bowls of pho and one crepe amount to $20.85. Giving them 5 stars cuz that bowl was pho-king good. read more
