This is one of the better Pho Ha's I've been to compared to others. Plenty of parking, very clean & modern. Servers are polite, & service has been great all of the times I've gone. Quality of food is definitely up there. If you've ever been to any of their other locations, then you should already know what to expect in terms of flavor & menu choices. However, I didn't give a 5 because most of the time, service is really slow. On a non busy day, 15-20 minutes for a simple pho order is a little rediculous. Going during peak lunch time is a clusterf*ck nightmare. Waiting 20+ minutes for your order, then by the time you get your food, you have to scarf if down just so you can get back to work on time. There would be a long line of people trying to pay because they're trying to gtfo, and even that process is slow too. Maybe if they worked out a better system, or have more employees working during peak hours, that would eliminate these issues. Other than that, if the wait doesn't bother you, this is a pretty solid Pho spot in the area. read more

Definitely not the best pho I've ever had, but undeniably the best in Riverside. Service is super quick, and the food is out to you usually in less than five minutes. Have been coming here since the opening and haven't been disappointed. Definitely try the smoothies! All are made with fresh fruit as far as I can tell. The only downside is that it does seem to be a bit pricey. 2 drinks and 1 appetizer will already put you at about $15, so not the cheapest option around, but definitely the best in the area. read more

I'm originally from OC (the capital of Vietnamese refugees in the U.S.) that recently transfer to UCR. I was a bit skeptical to give it a try since it's in Riverside area, but a scoop of broth changed my mind. It's authentic and flavorful. Generous portion for a small bowl. No comment on prices because OC is definitely cheaper by $1-2. I always look for the quality of broth when I have pho, and a clear pho broth is incredibly hard to find at restaurants even in OC, but they nailed it. I will be coming back! read more

I just got off the phone with the very rude owner of this place, because I dare question the $11 charge for a chicken pho. He clearly has no customer service skills at all! Very clean seating interior atmosphere for customers. The staff were a little confused at times, I hope service could be a little quicker during non busy hours. The food had great meat to broth/noodle ratio for those ordering pho or the-like. It's definitely a stop for college students and those visiting town. New place and thought I should give it a try. I was not disappointed. Great service, we were asked twice how everything went or if we needed anything. We have always felt the the Pho Ha on Alessandro was the best Pho in the I.E., until now. Pho Ha #7 for lunch today was hopping, the service was great. Met the Manager, Daniel. Nice man. The Beef Ball Pho, Bo Vien, was excellent. The restaurant is really nice. If you like Vietnamese food you need to try Ha #7. Since my initial visit I have eaten here twice. I tried difference dishes and have been equally please. The staff has been consistently great. Warning some folk do not speak English but I find that amazing. I'm not gonna lie, the servers don't talk much, and aren't super friendly. Except for one young lady who was just so in love with my son( such a sweet girl! My coworker and I made a to go order, as we paid we decided to eat at the location since it wasn't too busy. We were told by two employees that we could not eat at the location because it was to go order. This place gives me life, and it's my favorite pho place I've ever been to. It's fun to come all the time whether it's to recover from being sick, a rainy day, or just a day where you want pho! The broth is what does it for me but when I order vermicelli it's really good too! New location is both clean and spacious; plenty of seating for groups of any size. My partner and I came here for dinner and ordered egg rolls, Thai tea, and pho. The pho broth is similar to Pho Ha's other locations-- oily af. If you're okay with oily soup, then by all means go for it. My broth was not hot at all, so in turn I had noodles that were a bit crunchy and meat that stayed raw in the soup, but my partner did not have that problem so we're thinking my bowl was probably an old batch. The egg roll is standard to any other pho restaurant. The Thai tea itself was wonderful and the flavor was great, but the boba in it was bland and meh :c For the size of the Thai tea cup (and the ludicrous amount of ice they shove into it) I'd say the price is definitely not worth what you get. The servers here are wonderful and cheerful, but be! warned! of the waitress! She acts clueless to both the giant "Grand Opening" promo sign and will do whatever she can do avoid giving the advertised soft drink (which we still never received). Our waitress only stopped by twice: to take our order and pick up the money. She didn't check to refill our water or ask if we needed anything else (but the servers around us were attentive and went above and beyond to help when called over, so kudos to them!). ***Possible red flag for LGBT+ couples-- I definitely saw the difference in her attitude towards waitressing our table versus the straight/cis couple who were seated next to us! Her "welcoming" attitude took a complete turn when she saw my partner and I holding hands after we were seated.*** So while all the other employees were friendly (they are a lot younger in age than her), it was the waitress that puts off a non-LGBT+ friendly environment. Until they fix the attitude, my partner and I will probably not return here as often as we do to Pho Vinam, even if this place is considerably closer to us . My husband thinks all pho tastes the same, but I can't agree-- I think differences in pho are just very subtle, due to the strong taste of star anise in most bowls. If you're used to pho from University Village, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the quality of broth at Pho Ha. I ordered a large pho, #1 which has all the meats besides meatballs (rare steak, well-done flank, fatty brisket, tendon, tripe). It's not that it's wildly different from other pho in Riverside-- the essential flavors of pho are there: boiled marrow, star anise, hint of cinnamon, other subtler spices. It just feels more refreshing to me. With a squeeze of lime, the broth has a light, wholesome flavor that is more satisfying than those I've tried in Riverside before. Some pho, it feels like the meal sits in the bottom of my stomach like an anchor-- but this pho made me feel great! I love the cuts of meat here too, lots of chewy fat but not the uncomfortable kind. You can bit into them easily, and it doesn't get in the way of swallowing. Pho Ha doesn't really do anything new, or innovative-- they're just a good pho place, and that's cool with me. Service is better than most at pho places, too. Make sure to bring a friend, so you can get a $7 appetizer for free. read more

Pho Ha is hands down one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Riverside. I discovered this place during my first year at UCR. I come here very often and the food quality never fails on me. I've tried their pho, vermicelli, rice plates, and appetizers. I would recommend getting #17 or #56. The service here is excellent and you never have to wait too long to get your food, even if it's busy. Overall, I would really recommend this place to people who are in Riverside. read more

The only other pho ha location I had previously been to was in brea and that placed sucked so my expectations were quite low coming here. I was pleasantly surprised that the pho here was A LOT better than the other location and definitely better than pho vinam near here...more meat/filling, good broth. Another dish I regularly enjoy here is the grilled chicken and rice....good portions, great taste, average price. My otherwise 4-5 star review though is knocked down to a 3 star because on a number of occasions I have had a bad experience with their #50 spring rolls! I love spring rolls and while I don't expect this place to be on par with brodards, I do expect that my takeout rolls will not all be broken. Figure it out and fix this! Food was decent. Service was horrendous. The girl giving us our drinks slammed them on the table. They didn't come by to check on us or refill our waters once. We waited for a very long time for our check and eventually my friend asked for the check from a waiter and he glared at her and rolled his eyes, and never brought us the check. This is hands down my favorite pho place in Riverside. Our server (I think his name is Vu) was very nice and checked on our table several times to see if we were enjoying our food.
