Korean-owned Vietnamese restaurant but other than that, their lemon grass curry chicken and their egg rolls vermicelli were good! Once you go in to sit down, the waiter already has a plate of bean sprouts and onions brought to your table along with glasses of water. Their service was quite quick, most of our food came within 10 minutes after ordering. I loved that and they were also quite attentive. Even though they have those bells at their tables for service, we did not need to use them because they were always looking to make sure everything is okay with everyone. Food-wise. Of course it is not authentic Vietnamese but if you are craving Pho or etc, it could satisfy your craving. The prices of the food also are not expensive. Cannot complain for a huge bowl of egg roll vermicelli for about $7.50 or so with tax and tip. Also! For parents with babies, they had a counter-type area in the women's restroom that could be useful for changing diapers. This is Korean style pho. Came here yesterday around 10:00pm with a large party. Ordered the brisket pho and some egg rolls. The broth of the pho was way too salty for my liking and the brisket was very thin (Korean style brisket) the noodles itself was very good. As for the egg rolls no complaints. The service was good the servers were really nice no problems at all. Would I choose to come here again probably not. I would stick with the regular style Vietnamese pho. read more

I've been here and liked the beef or chicken pho but today I decided to try the special- the galbi pho. The flavor of the meat marinade was good and added to the flavor of the broth but some pieces of meat were good and some were a little chewy or gamey. I was a little sad. Perhaps I have been spoiled by two years of living and eating in Houston, but these were probably the worst spring rolls I've ever had. I'm not sure why the other reviews say they're great...maybe we just had a bad batch. The wrap was unreasonably chewy and stale, and the rolls as a whole were flavorless. I came with several of my friends, and we were all disappointed by the spring rolls. As for pho, they do not offer that many options, so I ordered the brisket. It was tough and stringy. But no worries, the Sriracha sauce was still good, and that redeemed the noodle bowl. And the prices weren't bad - upgrading from small to large is only 50 cents more. read more

So this is not your "typical" Pho house. This one is ran by Koreans so you have a little varied types of Pho here. Still your same Vietnamese style ones, but you also get the luxury of some Korean inspired ones too. Servers are very cool and even remember what I like to order. The Vermicelli noodles are great also, if you need a break from the soup and noodles. Fried rice is not bad either (a favorite of one of my friends)....you can ask them for a lil side dish of soup too...most of the time they'll accomodate. The only thing I don't like (as usual) is the smoking right outside the restaurant which as soon as the door opens gives a huge whiff of 2nd hand to your face. IMO!!!!! keep in mind IMO!!! My favorite PHO place to go to IN FULLERTON!!!!! I'm from Diamond Bar so this place to me is the best place IN FULLERTON. I normally get number 3 not the 3A. The 3A is the brisket which is good but I feel like there is too much fat, can't handle the fattiness. The 3 is "anshim"............ NON fatty meat? There isn't much fat on it so I like it. The soup is good, very hot and yes MSG, bad for you but the best tasting thing EVAR! It comes with onions and green onions, this place is korean owned and not a lot of people like cilantro so you have to ask for it on the side. And the bean sprouts you can ask for it steamed, I think it's so much better steamed in my opinion. The broth isn't "vietnamese", I was surprised Yelp said they're vietnamese. Also try their ox-tail, this menu is like the SUPER KOREAN menu. Ox-tail is uber good though. It only comes with maybe 3 or 4 pieces but it's still good!! It's like MEATY but not too FATTY!! I also tried their number one combo noodle bowl. It has all the meats inside. NEVER get their shrimp and crab roll, they are not GOOD. NOT GOOD AT ALL. their eggrolls are good and their spring rolls are ..eh..a-okay. Their Thai tea is BOMB! :) it looks a little too fancy for a pho place to serve it in such a big glass but it's still good. The Pho was decent, it was ok. It was light but tasty with some depth, sweet flavor dominating the aftertaste. The soup is on the sweet side like I said but with some nice broth flavor in the background. Flavor wise, it reminded me of Pho Hana on Hawthorne Blvd in Torrance. The Pho House's soup has a lot more sweet taste and bolder flavor however, kind of like heavy duty light soup if that makes any sense (I can do without all the sweetness though, a bit too sweet for me). The beef and noodles were ok. Average taste with average portions, nothing bad but nothing else besides the soup stood out. The service was friendly and fast, no issues. By the way, this is my first time driving to this area. I was amazed how clean and spacious the city is (Big city in country side, with tons of residential areas, neat and spooky looking at the same time). This Pho place's parking lot was a bit beat up looking though, well used with tons of chewing gum carcasses on the asphalt. More amazing was all the Korean businesses in the vicinity (This looked bigger than Korea Town acre wise, when did all these pop up? Not sure why this place gets such bad reviews. It's not the best pho I've had. It also isn't the cheapest. But it's definitely decent enough to satisfy my pho craving. Yea it's a Korean pho place but they have a Vietnamese chef. I like the fried rice. I'd like it to be a buck or two cheaper but I'd pay for the convenience of having it right near where I live. I ain't going to Garden Groves for pho (on most days). Guess when you get older, you compromise on quality and price for time and convenience. read more

Ok just got a to go order from here. I called them first and tried to place an order for charbroiled beef and vermicelli. The man who answered spoke Korean so I tried to order but he couldn't understand me. Totally understandable considering that I speak like a 1st grader, but I usually don't have problems ordering at Korean restaurants. He seemed a little frustrated so he switched to English (clearly not his native language). I then tried to order what I wanted in English (English being my first language). I said it 3x and he finally asked me "are you speaking English." I had to smile at that one considering that no one has EVER had a problem understanding my English before. I even passed my high school English AP exam! Go figure. No problem. I told him I was going to come in and place my order. The restaurant is located in a shopping center that is quite busy. I had to find a dark corner and double park my car. The restaurant was pretty dead at 9:30 pm on a Friday night. The woman who took my order was polite and the restaurant wasn't shabby. My meal cost $7.50 (including tax) which seemed to be the price point for most of the meals. The portion size was pretty good. The beef was orange for some reason, which I've seen at other pho places so I wasn't too concerned. The beef tasted flavorful. Certain bites of noodles tasted stale but the veggies looked and tasted fresh. The reason why this place only got a 2 star was because I found a long (at least 6 inch) piece of hair) mixed in with the beef. What the heck? Why don't food handlers wear a freaking hair net? I mean I would be somewhat OK if I found a short eyelash or even a bug in my food but come on a piece of hair from ones scalp is totally preventable. Completely grossed me out and I couldn't eat any more. I was going to call the restaurant but decided not to cause first I wouldn't eat there again so a replaced meal wouldn't help me and second I did not want to try to let them know what happened in my broken Korean. read more

For years my favorite Pho had been Pho Hoa in City of Industry. Maybe because it was the first place I tried it. I travel a lot so I went to several Pho restaurants in El Monte, Little Saigon, etc. and most were pretty good but none like Pho Hoa; that is until I tried this place. The soup is as tasty as I have ever tried. So delicious that i have made it one of my weekly stops. Service is quick and prices are very reasonable. If there is one complaint is that you the servings are getting a little lighter each time I go. I called and asked the woman on the phone if this was Sup Noodles - she said yes. So I went ahead and placed my order. When I arrived at Sup Noodle, they didn't have my order. I called the number again and asked what was their address ... turns out they were Pho House not Sup Noodle. I was a little confused and annoyed. I went ahead and picked up my order. I am not too picky with Pho restaurants, they are all pretty comparable to me! This location is a bit more limited in Pho options but that is not a bad thing! I got the P1 which is the pho with rare steak, bone marrow, meatballs, and tripe. The small size was $8.95 and you can upgrade for just a buck more. The soup was the perfect temperature, not too hot and not too cold. There was a good amount of noodles in my bowl compared to other pho places that skimp on it. I loaded my bean sprouts, onions, and sriracha sauce in there. Yum! I also split the shrimp spring rolls with my friend and it came with a red sauce (which I didn't try) and peanut sauce (a classic). Grace, who helped us, was very quick to serve and the pho came out in five minutes, no joke. Some perks of this place is that it is open late night, you can get free Thai tea (dine-in only), and if you write a review on Yelp, you can get a free banana roll dessert. It hits the spot well enough when you're hungry at 1am and Denny's just doesn't sound good. Had a craving for pho. I wanted to go to SuPnoodle but it was closed. There were only two pho spots open in the area. I pick this place since it had a higher rating and the reviews on the pho and springs rolls seemed promising. Too bad it was pretty disappointing. I had the combo Pho. The broth was tasteless and bland. Nothing close to a good pho. They don't give jalapeños or Thai basil. Just cilantro, lime and bean sprout. The rare steak was super thin and over cooked a bit gritty when came to my table. Brisket was super tough. The meatballs hard and tasteless and cur in sticks for some reason. My spring rolls order came out wrong but it was stuffed mostly with shredded lettuce and fried shallots with some shrimp. Wasn't wrapped very well and basically fell apart as soon as I picked it up. They served it with a pumpkin sauce not peanut. My opinion is they catered their menu to the locals opposed to using traditional Vietnamese recipes. Might cater to the local taste bud but if you want authentic Vietnamese pho I wouldn't suggest this. read more

I've been coming here for many years now and have never really had a bad experience. The workers are really friendly and right now, they have free Thai Tea for dine-in which is nice! The pho and the other items on the menu like fried rice and egg rolls are solid. They're nothing exceptional or out of the ordinary but nonetheless really good and reliable food. I highly recommend this place if you're craving some pho and need a quick place to stop by (we were in and out in less than 30 minutes).
