stop myself from getting beef. Their house made chili oil is a must to add in your broth or dip your protein in. Smallest size is large, so be ready to eat! There's plenty of hot broth to enjoy your meal too. The rolls are crunchy & fresh every time. Their drinks are also really good: pineapple smoothie is my favorite for dessert vibes (perfect balance of creamy & sweet) & iced peach or passion fruit tea for refreshing vibes. Parking is very abundant. Service has always been consistent & friendly even when they're busy. You'll understand why you'd want to keep supporting them when you see how they interact with their regulars. Very sweet & genuine people. Only one bathroom, but always clean. Please go & give it a try

It was our first time at Pho House when we stopped in for dinner. They're located in a strip mall which shares parking with Saigon Market. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we entered on Friday night, which was surprising. When we drove by another Vietnamese restaurant less than a block away, there was a line out the door. I ordered the House Special vermicelli bowl. It had a variety of toppings which I enjoyed. My husband ordered the char broiled pork plate with rice. The pork didn't seem char broiled and was more pan fried without any char. Same with the pork on my bowl. The server was nice. There's a lot of competition with newer Vietnamese restaurants in the South Bay. Glad we got to try this one.

I ordered take out via Doordash. Their price from Doordash is the same as in store so this is the best. It was super convenient to pick up. When I came, the food was ready, and packaged. The packaging is normal, and tight. They double bagged the soup in case of spills. They used a tall, thin cup that perfectly snuggles in my car cup holder, preventing it from tipping over during my driving. The soup was hot and flavorful. There were 3 pcs of short ribs. One of the pcs didn't have enough meat so I would say this is equivalent to 2 pcs in other restaurants whose short ribs are bigger. The staff was nice and friendly when I came to pick up. Overall, the $14.99, I like the price very much. My take out comes with utentils, hoisin, and srirachi. The parking here is huge and ample. Overall I would come back for pho.

There's nothing quite like a comforting bowl of pho and while there are lots of options in the South Bay, few of them stand out like Pho House. I like simple so I typically go with the beef (#2), and iced coffee. Service is always fast and friendly. The couple who are usually there running the place are super sweet. The restaurant itself is clean with indoor and outdoor seating. It's located in a small plaza with plenty of parking. Definitely give this place a try for good pho!

I live in Venice, and have been searching for a great pho spot. Pho House is worth the drive, and we have made it multiple times. My friend always orders the pho combo, and I get the #10 vermicelli bowl. I could honestly eat here nearly every day. If you are in the area, or even if you aren't you should stop by. The staff is awesome, and I love their ice tea and you get free refills. Pho House rule!

My husband and I came here for a casual dinner on a Friday night around 6 pm. Pho House is located in a strip mall in Lawndale, where they have several other Vietnamese businesses and some Peruvian eateries. We were seated immediately when we came in. There were a couple of other diners inside but the restaurant wasn't too busy. I ordered the pho dac biet and my husband had the house special vermicelli. Although they specialize in pho, they still have a good variety of different dishes on the menu including vermicelli and rice dishes. We both enjoyed our food and it was also incredibly cheap. Service was good. The ambiance here is very casual, so it would be a good spot for a quick meal. This place is not far from where we live so we plan to come back whenever we're craving Vietnamese.

It's a great place to eat some good pho even though it's a heat wave right now I had some lol they have fans inside so it wasn't too hot but the pho was delicious I got the beef pho with some Thai tea and both were delicious service is good too staff is nice and prices are good you get a big ol bowl of pho and it has lots of seating too if you wanna eat with friends

We came here on New Year's Day. After being seated, we noticed that there weren't many people working but the place was busy so we were prepared to stay and wait, understanding that they have many orders to fulfill. The service was the best they could do at the time which I appreciate. The food however, was subpar. I read the reviews and brought my parents here since our first choice was closed and had decent expectations which were not met. The noodle dish we ordered came out soggy and mushy with half the noodles cold and half of it warm. It was comparable to badly microwaved leftovers. The pho was okay, with hard noodles and broth lacking flavor. The spring rolls were decent but I wish there was a little more flavor as well. Although reasonable for service to take long as it's a somewhat busy holiday, the food was very disappointing ):

A little mom and pop-type Vietnamese spot tucked away in a small strip mall off of Hawthorne. I came early in the day for a late breakfast. The people were super friendly, smiling and so accommodating. I ordered the Bun Dac Biet (House Special Vermicelli Noodles) which included grilled shrimp, charbroiled pork, egg rolls, bean curd shrimp cake. The beauty about vietnamese food is that it's healthy, light and refreshing, and Pho House made it just right. The meats were all great, but the lettuce, cucumbers, pickled daikon and carrots all tasted so fresh. Major props on the attention to detail with the peanuts and fried shallots (some places would just skimp or neglect these altogether). I also ordered a hot vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. It wasn't the best coffee as there were a few milk curdles (?) after I mixed it, so had to fish those out before drinking it. Otherwise it was okay. All in all, a friendly little vietnamese restaurant with a solid menu of offerings and good food.

The food was amazing and service was great, the food came fast and was satisfying, I will come here more often..

First time here great service but I did find a hair in my food! I was so dissatisfied.

We like this restaurant so much that I wanted to reiterate how pleasant it is to eat there. The food is still top notch-- fresh and tasty, authentic Vietnamese dishes that will more than fill you up. The place is still super clean and very comfortable--nice music, warm atmosphere and just kind of cozy to eat in. The staff (owners?) are so kind and sweet--I wanted to invite then to eat with us so that I could get to know them better. Lol. Both the male and female servers were really accommodating and friendly. Thank you for a great lunch!! read more

After a night of some heavy drinking, I decided I'd get some pho to fill my tummy and get hydrated. This unassuming, strip mall pho restaurant was on my way home so I decided to give it a try. I walked in and here was a family of 7 sitting at a table eating pho. Other than the family, it was just me and I was quickly directed to a seat by an elderly women wearing a hair bonnet. The menu's prices were extremely reasonable, and with after giving it a once over (it was a no frills menu which had all the basics pho restaurant items, plus a random Korean rice meat plate), I order some staples: the spring rolls and a large combination pho bowl. The spring rolls were solid. Well made with good proportions. The peanut dip was good. The pho broth was great. To be honest, I probably would have been plenty content with a couple orders of spring rolls and the broth alone. Light and flavorful. They did not skimp out on the noodles, and the amount and quality was what you would expect for $7.50 (I think that was the price- I can't remember exactly, and I don't want to ask to see the menu). Clean. Friendly. Well priced. Tasty food. Free refills on my dollar ice-tea. Cured my hangover. read more

Delicious pho! My friends and I were planning to go to the other, more popular Vietnamese restaurant but the wait was way too long and we were very fortunate to come here. Plenty of parking, we got a spot right in front of the restaurant. Immediately seated and taken care of by the owner. We ordered the spring rolls which were huge and tasty. I got the Pho with filet mignon. It was so delicious!! I typically always add sauces and such to my pho broth but this one didn't need it at all. The broth was so incredibly flavorful. We came here 15 mins till closing thinking we may be too late but the staff said you are fine. They never rushed us out the door. They patiently waited for us to finish and the owner even chatted with us to let us know how the resturant came about. This is a great place for pho. The owners are so nice and so is the staff. The pho is really good and the portions are BIG. Definitely worth the price. read more

Pho, was decent (not the best I've had in the South Bay - Happy Veggie & Saigon Dish) but what made the experience REALLY bad was that this restaurant overcharged me through Grubhub and even though the manager admitted and knew I was overcharged he could care less. He did nothing to try to help me and told me it was completely up to me to call Grubhub to try and fix the mess that he created. Poor service and no morals. Please read all the other bad reviews on this restaurants POOR service because this is NOT an isolated incident. read more

Came here on Labor Day for a late lunch. Arrived at about 2:00 and it took about 20mins for them to take our order and then another hour before all the food arrived. Best pho spot in the South Bay. I usually get the large ox tail and add either filet , ribeye, or meatball.... it's whatever's you feel that day. Can't go wrong with any of those cuts of meats. The broth is so good too. I always come back at least twice a week read more

This is my new favorite work lunch spot for pho! Located in an unassuming strip mall, serving up super flavorful bowls. Better than the nearby Saigon Dish (which is often crowded for weekday lunchtime and therefore their pho is watered down to accomodate). Apparently it had more of a Korean vibe under the previous management, but this one looks more legit Viet. They do have limited staff since they just re-opened, appears to be family run (don't quote me on that), but aside from that, the food is tasty, and that's all I could ask for from a hole-in-the-wall pho joint. read more

Friday night we decided to come here because the other place we first went has a long waiting list. Interior was clean and the service wasn't bad at all. Pho soup was not hot enough so the bean sprouts that I added into my soup did never get soaked until finished the bowl. Also I don't like that we get super rare meat without getting any choice before order. And again the soup is not hot enough to cook the rare meat. read more

Been coming here for years and got my kid hooked up too! This is the 3rd owner since we started coming. So far, third time is a charm as I see fit of the new owners.=) The soup taste is much more improved compared to the previous ones. No bitter taste afterwards. I can't describe really the taste from the old owners but it doesn't have a pleasant taste if the soup sits too long and getting cold in the end. But this new owners definitely has been tried and proven from all of us. It isn't too heavy, tastes well balanced with a hint of sweetness after chewing the sugarcane. The restaurant feels cozy and clean. Parking is easy because it's in a shared lot. The wait is never too long for me but it gets packed pretty often.

I was really impressed with how clean the flavors of both pastas were! I ate so much and never felt overwhelmed as I usually do with pastas. The seafood also tasted really fresh and the squid was buttery soft and not chewy or tough. They also have $1 salads which had a tasty, classic Japanese dressing and fresh greens. You just can't find any food for $1 these days, so the $1 pricepoint was really surprising! I also love that they gave a huge serving of bread and butter as an appetizer. The staff was super kind and accommodating, and the restaurant is very cute and retro. They have a small parking lot in the back, as well as easy street parking. Overall, I'm already really looking forward to coming back here and trying more of their dishes. Or getting the same thing because it was just that good!

Bowl Thai is the original location, and their other two locations, Sweet Rice and Bowl Thai Grill, are just a couple blocks away. I've been to both and they were both fantastic, so I wanted to try out the original Bowl Thai. Like the other two restaurants, Bowl Thai has similar decor with simple and clean furniture. Order first at the counter, then you're given a cup for self-serve water. The self serve station also has napkins and utensils. Then, it's free seating and the food is brought to you, freshly made to order and pretty quickly, I might add. I had the Tom Yumm Soup with chicken (default is medium spicy). It was a huge serving in very large bowl. It came with a bowl of white rice. The flavors were rich and aromatic, a great mixture of beach mushrooms, lemongrass, lime, and chili. I also had their Thai Iced Tea, perfectly creamy and refreshing. The service was great, friendly, fast, and checked on me during the meal to make sure I had everything I needed.

The parking situation is not great on weekends because there are several popular restaurants in this place but it's so worth it!!

But it's still my favorite bowl of pho in the South Bay (so far). Disclaimer, I've only ever gotten their pho and nothing else. Their water tastes like they sourced it from a stainless steel bowl. The burger was juicy and loaded with flavorful mushrooms, and the fries were a great, hearty side. The fries portion was also huge so it was great to share as well. The service was smooth and convenient. You can order either at the register or through a kiosk, which I liked since it shows pictures of the food. The kiosk also helped me discover items I didn't notice on the menu board, like the mushroom burger and chili cheese fries, which ended up being great choices. The dining area is on the smaller side with just a few tables, but when we went it wasn't busy at all, so there was plenty of seating. I've always enjoyed their burgers, and this visit was no different.

Hmm I'm not a big whipped cream fan and honestly would've skipped it if I knew it was extra. Inspite of the initial sticker shock with slightly higher price, I ended up enjoying my drink. It has a really good pumpkin flavor. It was cool and quite refreshing. It also had a bit of a caffeine kick. The Pumpkin Spice was good and I've got my eye on their Cookie Butter and Fruity Pebbles for a future indulgence.

A lot of my go-to spots have been disappointing lately so I was craving a good bowl of pho - one that really hits the spot and Oh My Pho did just that. The moment we pulled into the parking lot I was like, "I have a good feeling about this place." I walked in and was immediately greeted with a deep aromatic smell of pho in the air. All 3 of us ordered their Pho Combination which has it all: Sliced brisket, sliced eye round, tripe, tendon, meatballs. We also ordered their shaken beef rice platter to share. Before digging into my bowl, I took a long deep smell of the broth as if I was taking the fattest bong rip known to mankind. It only got better from there though because the broth tasted as good as it smelled. Incredibly flavorful. All the flavors were balanced -- salty, sweet, umami. The noodles were cooked almost perfect (I like my noodles very al dente), but the doneness was definitely the kind that would suit everyone's preference. The shaken beef was delicious too. The meat was very tender and they mixed fries in which isn't typical/common, but it was really good! The rice was made perfectly too, at least to my preference. Only (minor) complaints were my bowl not being hot enough which is funny because I like my food cold, but certain things need to be piping hot like noodle soup. Also there wasn't very much meat in the shaken beef dish. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. I'm pretty far from OMP, but will definitely come back again soon with my friends since they're regulars here!

After my 1st review, I did eventually decide to visit this place again. This is after I expanded my palate a bit more and tried a few more Pho places. I'm sad to say that my opinion of this restaurant did not improve. The base of the soup is very bland in comparison to all other Pho places I've gone to. While the price is cheap and the service is good, I can't get past the bland taste. And lets face it... taste is arguably the most important aspect of any food. Being someone who supports local businesses, I'd still recommend anyone to give this place at least one try. Just don't expect to be impressed by the taste. There is better to be had out there... much better. read more

I came here for lunch and while the food was good, the restaurant itself could definitely use some updates. I ordered pho, which came in a big portion with perfectly cooked noodles and a flavorful broth. The spring rolls were also tasty, and the rice was done just right. However, the service was quite slow, and there were flies buzzing around, which was a bit off-putting. The restaurant could really benefit from some improvements to the environment and faster service. Being Viet from San Jose, having lived in OC for a while, and parents who had a Viet restaurant, I can be pretty picky about my Viet food. I've tried most of the pho places in the South Bay now and can confidently say that this place has the best pho ga. The nem nuong and coffee are on point too. Haven't tried the other menu items yet, but based on the quality of what I had, it's legit enough that I would feel comfortable bringing my family members here vs having to chauffeur them all the way to Little Saigon. read more

My wife ordered the Beef Bulgogi and the Eggplant. I ordered the Chicken Dumplings and the Garlic Noodle (adding chicken for $2 more). The portions are generous. Light eaters might be able to just order one two dish combo and share. The Beef Bulgogi was good but the veggies looked a bit dehydrated. The Eggplant was just okay. The Chicken Dumplings were very tasty but served cool. I ordered them steamed and expected them to be warm at least. The Garlic Noodles with chicken was the biggest disappointment. To me, and my wife, over cooked with crunchy pieces. The chicken was also over cooked, dry and tough. When our server asked how things were, I mentioned it. He didn't seem surprised. I asked if the noodles were always dry and he said yes. He offered to bring more sauce, which he did. I added it but it didn't make the chicken any better. In the end, I left 90% of it. They only have cans of sodas so no refills but they are attached to a tea house that serves a great selection of teas, bobo, etc. There was some good things but more not, overall, we were disappointed. Honestly, I was a bit surprised they didn't offer to replace my dish or offer a small discount. They could see the pile of food I left. Anyway... Hopefully your experience and food preparation will be better than ours and...enjoy!!!

We also got the larb chicken wings. The wings were spicy and a little salty but good and still pretty crispy considering it was delivery! The curry was amazing, thick and flavorful and just the right amount of spice for me (I like spicy!) My partner got larb and I didn't take a picture but it was so flavorful and good too. Next time I'm going to try the khao soy, yum!
