Love me some pho! I've started going to this place now that I live in this area. I also have only done takeout due to the pandemic. I always order the large VN egg rolls, which are delicious Shrimp pho is good too! I've had the shrimp pad Thai which was a bit too sweet. Their fried rice is decent. This is pretty authentic Vietnamese food! We're from Dallas visiting and craving some Pho! We found pho house and was so surprise! The owners and staff were great and the food came out quickly and well made. Our favorite was the eggrolls made with rice paper instead of your normal egg wrapper! Soooo good. This is probably the best Pho place I've tried in SA so far since moving here from Vegas. Decent portions for the price. Only thing I'll complain about is that this is the only Vietnamese restaurant I've been to that skimp you on shrimp in the vermicelli bowl. Seriously only gave two pieces of shrimp. Hello, I ordered Pork with Vermicelli off the dinner menu. The pork was tasty, but was mainly fat. Probably more than half fat. I showed the waitress. She said that just how it was. I asked politely if she could bring me a small amount without so much fat. She shouted at me. She yelled at me and told me not to come back! read more

Me and my girlfriend love to go out to eat. We look forward to eating out everyday and expect good quality food. We hate wasting time and money on food we didn't like whatsoever. The pho that was served to us was less than okay and the veggies werent fresh. Quality of the meat was very low. Employees were very nice but checked up on us only once. Stopped by here on our trip to San Antonio. It was close to our hotel. The place is quaint. They offer Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai cuisine, so there's a bit of everything to satisfy your pallet. Pho was decent. Not the best we've ever had, but good. Pad Thai was good but a bit too much sugar and tomato sauce. They add a non-cash fee if you use credit card. It is a very small place, but it was not busy on a Tuesday early evening. The food was not stellar, but it wasn't bad. I had a dinner special, Sesame Chicken which was good. The special come with a choice of soups and a choice of rice and a very small egg roll. The prices are reasonable, 14.00 with tip. I had leftovers for lunch the next day! Probably one of the worst restaurant I've been to. Right when we walked in, this older waitress was giving us attitude. I understand that we came in with 3 kids and 6 adults and i understand that we can't be all placed together but instead of telling us and finding a solution she was being rude about it and so we had suggested Is it possible to just split us up in 2 tables. After they agreed we sat at the tables and the lady was still talking to us rude. Customer service was terrible. The food came out and it was not good at all. No flavor and seasoning to a majority of the dishes. When we checked out another server was checking us out and she was being rude also. We asked if we could pay for both tables and she was saying something and then said "i don't wanna do that but I'll just do it". I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. First time trying this restaurant, I'm a big fan of pho. And love trying new things. I had the crispy chicken noodle plate. It reminded me of a bird nest the way it was presented. After putting the looks aside, I tried it. The noodles tasted over cooked, just really hard and had a burnt after taste. I told the waiter I did not like the plate and asked if I could get something else instead . He told me I couldn't, and that I was still going to get charged to my plate. What upset more then the burnt noodles, was the fact that I wasn't allowed to order something else to replace what I did not like. So instead my husband gave me his plate and I actually enjoyed it, and he ordered something else, and the waiter allowed that to happen. Then when I asked for the bill they still tried to charge me for my plate that I didn't like nor ate but 2 bites. Once I brought that to their attention on why I was still being charged, the best they gave me was 6$ off my plate, instead of just taking it off completely. Won't be back again, read more

I come here alot.... :) Today, I changed from my usual Pork Bun with VN spring roll ( which is great - but it's the new year) to Pork crispy noodle. I loved it ( though nothing can totally replace Pork Bun). I haven't had anything here I didn't like. My normal compatriot in Pho crime wasn't with me today, but has been having a multi-year affair with the spicy beef soup. I saw a review about "fatty pork".... it's PORK! My son and I were out of our regular area Christmas shopping and diverted to this nearby Pho restaurant when Dough Pizza joint could not muster a server to wait the many open tables...delighted that we switched. While the menu is more extensive than I expected, we came in just for some Pho & Vietnamese egg rolls. We both decided on a pork and seafood combo Pho and the egg rolls, so this review is limited to those dishes. We both found them to be excellent even if the imitation crab strips were a bit underwhelming in flavor as fake crab tends to be. The key with all soup is the broth and this example was very nice indeed. There was no star anise flavor to the broth, which ruins it for me when encountered, but there were anise leaves on the side for those who desire the flavor. All the other accoutrements were there on the side as expected. The restaurant is not so far that we won't make a special trip in the future. read more

This place is pretty good. The prices are very reasonable for the portions you get, waiters are responsive and proactive, and the food is tasty. My only complaint is that the tables are really small and it's a very tight space. I would recommend management reworking their restaurant layout so that people can pass through aisles comfortably and have enough space for multiple plates. read more

Pho house was such a great pick for delicious and fresh Asian food! I picked it because of the ratings and I'm so grateful the ratings didn't lie. The ambiance is welcoming as soon as you walk in and since I'm from the east coast and all I eat is Asian food, I loooooved it! Food was not very tasty. But the biggest reason for my one-star review is that I could have potentially had a very serious allergic reaction. The menu states "Cream Cheese Puffs", but I know this can also contain crab at some places. So I asked the waiter to verify if this menu item contained shellfish because I'm very allergic, to which he stated it didn't and it was just cream cheese. LUCKILY, I always look at my food before I eat it. And I've discovered that it does indeed contain crab before I took a bite.
