    Pho Combination

It's like a 4.4 but I'll round up to five. They got the most important parts right. First one being the broth. It was clear, yet rich, umami and flavorful. I ordered the combination pho, or dac biet. While it doesn't look like it in my photos, they provide an ample amount of meat, it seemed almost never ending when I was eating. All the meats were quality, cooked perfectly and tender. The herbs and veggies provided were the typical bean sprouts, basil, jalapeños and lime. The chili sauce on the table is supposedly made in house based on other reviews, however I did not verify that. It's more vinegar based vs. oil based like sate is. It has a similar flavor profile to sriracha, with just a tad more heat. While it does have a decent kick, adding the amount to reach the spice level I desire changes the flavor of the wonderful soup a bit too much. I asked for Thai chilis but they don't have any. Next time I'll just get extra jalapeños for the heat without affecting the soup too much.

OC is the best place in the world for Pho and I'm a pho fanatic. PHO LAB is one of my favorites! The beef bone is top notch. The meat is tender and falls right off the bone. The broth is nice and savory. Not too thick but robust. Service is great. You may expect a wait but worth it and never too too long. There's a sign in paper wait list in the lobby.

Oxtail pho, egg rolls, side of steamed veggies, ribeye pho

Came after a show at the observatory. I had the ribeye pho and it was really tasty. I like that they don't overfill the bowl with noodles and give a decent amount of meat. Also got a side of steamed veggies and it was a huge portion. Bf got the oxtail pho and thought the broth wasn't as good as mine. The oxtails were hard to eat and pull apart and were did not fall off the bone. Crispy egg rolls were so good! Just wish they served them with lettuce and mint to roll them up with.

Ordered the combination pho which came with all the meats (Except the rib), but it was excellent! Loved the broth and the meats were very tender! Not sure what type of grade the brisket was (Wagyu?) but it was so buttery soft! Best brisket i have had! Also ordered the garlic noodles with shaken beef. I thought this dish was just decent. The noodles weren't as garlicky and tender, and the beef was a little too chewy tough. The green aji sauce didn't have that nice kick. I would definitely come back for the pho!

Rating: 7.5/10 First time trying Pho Lab in Huntington Beach. Interior is on the smaller side with limited seating. Clean and simple setup, but not a ton of space. Service was okay - took a bit longer than expected to get our order in. Combination Pho Pretty solid. Broth was flavorful and the variety of meats were all well prepared. Nothing standout, but a good, solid bowl of pho. Garlic Noodles with Shrimp Best dish of the meal. The shrimp were excellent - cooked really well, shell-on, and packed with flavor. Garlic noodles were also very tasty and paired well with the shrimp. Egg Rolls Pretty mid. Not bad, but nothing memorable. Overall, solid food with a standout shrimp dish. Service could be quicker, but still a decent spot to check out.

Had this placed bookmarked for a while now to take my parents since they had 5 stars and was not disappointed, cute little mom and pop restaurant, I believe it was the owner that served us and she was very kind. We all ordered the build your own bowl of pho and a couple of our proteins were mixed up, but it was quickly reconciled and the meat we actually ordered was brought on a separate plate. Can't complain about having extra! On that note, I would've been upset if our orders were wrong and the food was bad too but everything we got was really good!! Rare steak, flank, tendon all tender, meatballs could've been a little fresher but not off-putting at all. Noodles were cooked perfectly and side veggies all super fresh. They also give you the option of raw or blanched bean sprouts without you needing to ask. We also got the pork rolls which were also pretty good given that the pork patties were nice and soft as well They tried to make up for the mistake by constantly making sure we had our waters refilled and were attended to, very grateful for the amazing service!

Having been to my fair share of pho restaurants, I was pleasantly surprised to find one that I liked in affluent area like Huntington Beach. Others that I have tried in nice areas are usually average at best and terrible at worst. But this place is legit. Definitely run by people who know how to make good pho. I also like that that they have vegetarian pho for those that don't eat meat. I've had the Pho Tai as well as oxtail pho and both were delicious. Also the lychee tea was refreshing!I will definitely be back!

Love that this spot opens late at night!! Plenty of parking, but the spot is a little small. We waited around 30 minutes for a table. Once seated, service was super quick! They got our order right away and our food was brought out shortly after. I got a bowl with the combination meats and it was soooo yummy! They do not skimp out on the meats at all! All the meats were tender and had such a yummy bite. The broth tasted soooo clean, I loved every bite. We also got the egg rolls to share with the table which was super yummy.

I probably had this place on my Yelp bookmark due to 4.8-star average rating with over 1,300 reviews. Pho Lab serves classic and traditional Vietnamese cuisine in Huntington Beach and the restaurant has another location in Lake Forest. [Parking]: No issue finding an open spot within the plaza parking lot. [Atmosphere]: Casual dining atmosphere. I wrote my name on the waitlist and only waited about 5 minutes on Saturday at 6 PM. The restaurant opens until midnight. [Menu]: The top two Yelp highlights are Pho Rib Bones and Crispy Egg Rolls. They also serve appetizers like Golden Pork Bao, Spring Rolls, and Popcorn Chicken. No pho? Other options include banh mi, vermicelli, rice plates, house fried rice, and garlic noodles. *** Pho Rib Bone (10-hour plus simmered beef bone broth, rice noodles topped with green onions, white onions, & cilantro - served with bean sprouts, basil, culantro, lime & jalapeno - $14.95): The rib bone was slow cooked in special broth for 4+ hours. It was a massive bowl with excellent savory broth. I was surprised to see 3 GIANT ribs! Noodle was a bit firmer than I would like, but absolutely great value for this bowl. Crispy Egg Rolls (mixture of shrimp, pork & vegetables fried to crispy to perfection - 2 pieces - $5.45): The description was right ... these egg rolls had perfect crispiness - not too crunchy and soft enough not to have too much flakes. Delicious fillings and definitely a must order *** Personally this is one of the best value pho spots in Orange County & I had a super satisfying dinner. Highly recommend this spot in Huntington Beach for anyone who doesn't want to drive to Little Saigon & still craves for some excellent pho.

Pholab is hands-down one of the best spots I've hit up in Orange County. Their broth!!! Ridiculously good. It's rich, savory, and just... comforting in that way that makes cold days feel instantly warmer. Honestly, it's the kind of bowl that hits you right in the soul. I've tried a bunch of their dishes and they've all been consistently delicious -- no misses so far. The customer service is always on point too; everyone's friendly, fast, and actually seems to care that you're having a good time. It does get busy (because everyone and their cousin knows it's good), but the wait moves super quick, so you're never stuck standing around for long. If you're in Orange County, do yourself a favor and check out PhoLab. Totally worth the hype, totally worth the stop. Highly recommend!!!

    Veggie Pho - 10/10 delicious!

After a long workday and some much-needed rain, I was craving a comforting bowl of Pho and decided to try a new spot since my usual go-to closed. After seeing Pho Lab repeatedly recommended in a local community Facebook group, and finding they were one of the few that also offered Veggie Pho on their menu and with an actual photo (which looked amazing!), I decided to give them a try. I'm so glad I did! Pho Lab was one of the few top-recommended spots that also offered delivery options (DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub), which made my decision even easier. My order arrived well packaged, and the vegetarian broth was still hot. The presentation looked just like the photo--fresh, colorful, and definitely made with care. The Veggie Pho itself was fantastic. Generous portions of bok choy, broccoli, carrots, baby corn, tofu, and noodles made every bite satisfying. The flavors were clean, comforting, and honestly 10/10 delicious--one of the best bowls of veggie pho I've had. Their menu has a great variety, and I appreciated seeing tofu spring rolls as an option. I'd love to also see them add a vegetarian and a chicken egg roll (no pork or shrimp) option as well as a vegan Pho option in the future--it would give them an even stronger edge. Another huge win: they're open late, 7 days a week from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM. My previous spot closed early, so finding a place with great food AND late hours is a major bonus. I'll definitely be ordering from Pho Lab again. Highly recommend if you're looking for flavorful, fresh, and well-made

Great Phở! Flavorful broth, good quality meat, and large portions! I really appreciate that they're open late, and it makes for the perfect late night comfort meal! I got the ribeye and it was sooo yummy and the rib bone pho also was amazing with two large bones which had tender and flavorful meat. definitely recommend!

I stopped in Friday night and was seated right away. The waiter was friendly and welcoming. I started off with the wings with the garlic butter sauce and the mango habanero sauce. They were cooked well but the sauces were only ok. I actually preferred them with the chili sauce that is kept on the table. I ordered the combination pho with the rib and it was delicious. The broth was full of flavor and complex, the meat and veggies were plentiful and tasty. I ended up having enough left over for lunch the next day. The staff were really friendly and were great about making sure I had everything I needed without being over the top. I'm glad I found this place and I will be returning.

We had actually expected just the usual soup ramen place, but later discovered that, although a view varieties of ramen noodles are offered on their menu, their specialty was in fact the dried version of a bowl of soup ramen noodles, or what our server referred to as a bowl of "reverse" ramen noodles, better known as Mazemen noodles.... sounded really yummy so far as I have always preferred dry noodles to soup ones. So, my wife went ahead and ordered a bowl of spicy California Tonkotsu ramen noodles, and I went with the Saitama Chicken Mazemen noodles..... and some handmade spicy wonton and fried Karaage Chicken on the side. Our food came out pretty fast, super hot, super fresh, and super delicious! I tried some of my wife's soup ramen, and yes, had great flavor... not too salty, and perfectly medium firm ramen noodles. As for my Mazemen noodles....woweee!.... this was my first time trying Mazemen noodles, with a large board on the wall with instructions on how Wadaya's Mazemen noodles should be eaten. When the instructions were followed, I dug straight in and...mmmmm good! The combination of ingredients in the bowl.... peppered ground chicken, scallions, chives, poached egg, minced garlic, fish umami, and seaweed flakes.... when all tossed together just made for an amazingly delicious bowl of noodles! I really loved and enjoyed it so very much! The Chicken karaage and spicy wontons were very delicious too and went great with our noodles. Other than that, very cute and cozy ambiance... like a little Japanese ramen place, service was excellent.. our server was so nice, so friendly, so attentive, and so helpful.... this made for just the perfect lunch! This place may not be as high profiled as other more popular and well known brands of ramen places, but it's definitely one of the best we've ever tried, and we'll definitely be back soon.

To my surprise, it was a good experience that we had. The shop was small, but the staff has a workflow nailed down. The parking was not too terrible on a weekday evening -- I was worried about the warnings, so we parked on the street. When walking to the hotel, I saw that there were many open spaces in the parking lot! We had the chicken cartillage and the calamari for appetizers. The cartillage was good, but portion was quite small. Some additional seasoning/salt would have also made it much better! The calamari was definitely VERY different from other places, but I liked the batter texture. What I loved about the ramen here is that they let you customize from the noodle size, texture, spice level, and the salt level! I always prefer the thicker noodle type, so I found it comforting to be able to request it at no extra charge. Beware there is extra charge for Spice level 4 & 5! I had the Garlic Tonkotsu ramen, which was flavorful and not too salty/creamy. My fiance had the Tan Tan ramen at level 5 spice, which he thought it was not spicy (it was for me!) and not as flavorful as what I ordered. Overall, I would definitely revisit this shop next time I'm in Oahu!
