It's pretty good, not the best Vietnamese food I've ever had but pretty good. I ordered their Bun w/grilled pork and eggroll. It was pretty good but somehow, not as good as MT Noodles which has the same owner. But, I would definitely come back again and try some of their other dishes like their Mi Kho or pho. We came with local family who told us about the new Asia Mall. Forgot to take pics of the food but everything we had was super delicious, fresh, and tasty. We had the crispy noodles, noodle salad bowls with chicken and pork/shrimp/egg roll, rice place with short ribs, cream cheese wontons, garlic wings, pork sausage spring rolls, and pork/shrimp egg rolls. Everything was well done and flavorful. My top faves would have to be the egg rolls though. I think the line out front for the bubble tea and mochi donuts doesn't help the restaurant as it could be seen as a deterrent to go to the restaurant but good for us who didn't want to wait too long for a table. Finally decided to try Pho Mai tonight for dinner. Went with my little family and I ordered the Bun Dac Biet, NO peanuts with the shrimp beancurd included. Halfway through my meal, realized there was a piece of hair in my noodle salad. Informed one of the owners, who was kind enough to send it back to the kitchen to have it remade to go. Got home and opened it just to realized there were peanuts everywhere and NO shrimp beancurd was included. Very allergic, sad I had to toss it. Decided to check out Asia mall and ate lunch here. Had the pho chin which comes with brisket. The broth is flavorful but felt moderated for the non spicy palate. With some additional spices it could have been great. Good portions though. The pork banh mi had flavor, and texture though definitely on the sweeter side for bbq. Service is fast. 1st time here. My nail tech said they had great food so we decided to check it out. Walking in not sure if we were to be seated or wait. There was no way to tell what you do so -- we approached the front counter until someone came up. We were seated and given a menu. Waters came right away, not a packed house but very loud inside. We went for the pho so we looked there first, also got a order of spring rolls. Basically you can make any bowl of your liking (meats) into either small/medium/large. $12-$18. We picked the smaller bowl because growing up eating pho I'm a bit picky. We got the beef everything, tendon, meatballs, brisket, etc. Placed the order and within minutes we had the sitting rolls on the table. Within 5 we got the pho. We were given a tiny * think tea cup plate* for two people. Very scant on the veggies (bean sprouts weren't on there, only the basil and 2 very small lime wedges) most places serving pho give you a plate of veggies per person for your pho. Not here. The broth was ok, but not great. It had too much grease for my liking. Yes, grease is normal, however the amount in our bowls was a bit excessive. The amount of meat was ok.. wish there had been more as I got one very thin sliver of a meatball no tendon and very little noodles. If I had to measure it probably was 3/4 cup of noodles=to about 4-5 noodle bites. Not nearly enough for the bowl we got. The noodle texture was very overcooked ... I don't recall getting a refill on our water. The spring rolls had a giant long chunk of cucumber inside which was unexpected. The shrimp almost seemed nonexistent as it was inside a thick orange/yellow color coated batter of sorts. Pork was paper thin. Did have a crunchy thing inside but 3/10 for me on the spring rolls. I do not recall noodles inside our rolls either. Very odd as they almost always do come with noodles inside. All in all the place looks nice and was clean. Wishing they had salt and pepper shakers on the tables with more sauce choices instead of just the one bottle of oyster sauce. I also think the pretty napkins they have are very aesthetic; however any time I went to grab it to clean off on, many tiny white paper like hairs from it went flying all around my face and food. I did tell the waiter that my pho bowl was missing some of the meats as he brought our check. He said he was sorry about that and brought me a donut from the other side within the restaurant. Ambiance (decor) 8 nice to look at but too loud. Service 6 and the food I'd give it 4.5 or of 10. Perhaps we went on an "off" day. Underwhelmed and was hoping for more as the reviews were amazing. Decided to stop by here since we're close by. We went to pho mai and was greet quickly and seated quickly which was nice. Our orders was taken fast also which was very nice. We order pho, sample appetizers and rice platter which our waiter never put in the rice platter. The pho was brought out before the sample appetizers and we never got our water, I had to ask for our water. After we finish our pho and appetizers, we got up to pay and ask to not get charge for the rice platter since we never received it and the guy at the cashier say it's not in the receipt, the waiter that took our order was standing by leaning over to look at the register and he didn't even apologize for the misunderstanding. Please don't say your short staffed when there's 8 of you running around...I'll say I'll stick to my usual restaurant I always go to. Another reason why I never wanted to try new place. read more

Terrible chicken Pho soup. I got the chicken pho soup today to go AND paid over $15.42 which is the highest I've seen around town. Got home, no napkin, no chop sticks, chicken was the compressed type with no flavor, the bowl it came in is too small. I pored the broth in the bowl and it over flowed on my table. I get chicken pho soup all over town and this was the worst I've had. No flavor along with what I mentioned. If you want good pho, I think Goin off of 169 is the best restaurant. Everything looked good and the portion was decent, but the food lacked flavor. There was no herb to be found anywhere, how much would it cost to add authentic herbs to the goi cuon, the noodle bowl with grilled pork, etc.? Vietnamese cuisine is famous for its use of herbs, which the cooks in this restaurant totally ignored. Not only that, the grilled pork, which was found in many dishes, tasted flat because it wasn't marinated before grilling. For an authentic experience, try MT Noodles. We waited and no one came to take our order. Finally the person by the register saw us and came over. We ordered the appetizer platter, beef pho and spicy chicken. The food came out in various orders at different times. The pho came out first. Then the appetizer platter and finally the spicy chicken. If you're looking for authentic pho, this isn't the place. Service was lacking. No one checked on us the entire time we were there. We flagged an older lady regarding how to pay the bill. When you're finished eating, you walk up to the register, tell him your table number and pay your bill. The place seemed a bit disorganized. I'm sure it'll improve over time. read more

The restaurant is usually bustling during the weekends, but if I had to wait in line for 15 minutes for a bowl of Pho, I would go somewhere else. I ate here a few times. The food here is decent, good but to me, it's definitely not the best Vietnamese restaurant in Minnesota, and not genuine. I wonder why they got good reviews for the service, but I did not see it that way. The service is just ok, in my opinion. Charges about 3% for using credit cards, it may sound okay for many customers but I don't understand why they open a business and refuse to pay transaction fees, anyway. They also charge an 18% service fee for a party of 5 people or more, this looks like common practice in restaurants these days as well. But I don't like it when tips are obligatory. The bottom line is I will not go back to this restaurant again. read more
