Pho does not taste like pho at all. I'm writing this as I'm sitting here. Tastes like instant pho and missing notes of star anise, cinnamon, made up for by being very salty. Trust me I make giant pots of pho at home that's gone in 1 day and this ain't it. Bbq rice was overcooked. Fake sriracha. Not impressed at all for a restaurant in the hood, supposed to be authentic lol. Won't be back. read more

Finally gave this place a try! We ordered: Salt & pepper chicken wings Pho with rare steak & brisket Mi Quang The wings are now in our top 2 wing spots next to Royal mandarin. The texture and flavor was bursting. The pho is now my daughter's favorite pho. You can tell they put a lot of TLC to the broth. There was so much delicious brisket! I would say this is the best Mi Quang I've had from a restaurant. They even add quail eggs. The broth was very rich. All side veggies that came out was fresh, clean, and crisp! From the moment we walked in our server (maybe the owner) greeted us with big smiles. She seemed very happy and proud to attend to us. She checked on us many times to make sure we were happy. A hidden gem in a sketchy plaza! Delicious bun rieu, and everyone else in my group enjoyed their phos/shaken beef/bun bo hue. My bun rieu was so hearty, and had generous amounts of noodle, crab balls, shrimp, tomatoes. Drooling about it now! This is a straight forward, no frills Vietnamese restaurant, and glad to have discovered it after a friend recommendation. Cheap pricing too. read more

We ordered Pho, Salt and Pepper wings, Egg Rolls, and Mi Quang. Everything was delicious. Staff was wonderful, parking can be tough as there is a cafe in this same plaza and a Laundromat as well. Prices are decent and the food comes quickly. The nuoc mam cham we had was a little off than what I'm used to but another time we had it, it tasted a lot better so possibly just an off day for them. Review is for 1) bun rieu and 2) salt and pepper fried fish: 1) Homemade crab meatballs with shrimp, flavorful broth, served with a vegetables like... shredded banana blossom! and all of the usual veggies (bean sprout, mint, lime, etc) 2) Crispy batter coating the fish with fried garlic bits I keep meaning to try new dishes here, but the bun rieu is so good! Amazing food. I tried the P7. Rare steak fatty brisket OMG the broth was the best I've had in sometime. The quality of the fatty brisket was probably the best I've seen in a while also. Well marbled..hella fatty so bomb. Good portion of noodles and sides. They had all the fixins. My partner had the braised duck soup. She was super happy about it. Tried this place on whim and fell in love with the pho!! I ordered to go and when I got home (it's a very quick walk home) the broth was still piping hot and the noodles weren't over cooked at all. this place is such a hidden gem!! we actually sadly didn't try the pho bc we weren't in the mood for it but instead ordered the beef spring rolls, shrimp spring rolls, salt and pepper fish, cream cheese wontons, and thai tea w boba! the shrimp rolls were good but a bit dry in my opinion. however, my boyfriend loved his beef spring rolls and the peanut sauce with it. i was a huge fan of my salt and pepper fish and it reminded me exactly like my mom's cooking back home! the thai tea and boba were also yummy, although of course not my first choice for boba. five stars bc the service was great and this location deserves more attention!! will definitely come back next time to try the pho :) read more

My favorite pho spot! And there are tons of them here in San Diego. The hubby and I are here often for our usuals: Bo luc lac and chicken pho. Their Bo luc lac is phenomenal! Amazing pho, probably the best I've ever had. Much better than the much more popular Pho Ca Dao down the street. The service was great, they were extremely friendly, and it's a family owned business. We ordered take out from this restaurant. The chicken pho was great but the fried chicken was horrible. The fried chicken was way too fresh for us with feathers and pink coloration still present. My fiancée and I visited this place for the first time a few months ago after the pho place across the street "ran out" of food (it was 6:30 pm on a Wednesday [????]). So we found the closest one; Pho Minh. The pho is the most delicious we ever tasted. We also ordered the wings since other Yelpers recommended. My girl always, without question, has to either order the Mongolian beef for dine in, or she'll get something else and order it for take out for later. The place is pretty dirty, there's a kid working who looks under 16 years old he said "just sit anywhere" he took our order we waited. 30 mins and then Two new groups came in. They were both served appetizers before we we were so we walked out. Horrible service. The kid should not be working as well as I don't believe it's legal and not ethical to have him taking orders, cleaning, seating people, giving out orders, and translating for the cooks or whoever the adults were there having him do it. read more

I've been coming to this complex since I was a little kid. Immediately I noticed this shop changed ownership so I decided to give it a try. LET MEEEE TELL YOU! IT'S SO GOOD AND AFFORDABLE! I ordered the special Minh chicken wings, egg rolls, bo luc lac, chicken and veggie stir fry, coconut walnut shrimp, and banh mi. The taste of everything was great and the portion was very good for the price. The mom and daughter that work here are sooo sweet!
