The only reason I gave it a four instead of a five is because seating is so close you're unable to have a private conversation with the people across from you. The couple beside us kept coughing without covering their mouth which kind of gross me out. It doesn't look like much when you walk past but apparently my coworker has been to this location numerous times. I went with my co-worker for the first time for lunch since he was knowledgeable about the menu. After a conversation about my likes and dislikes I decided on P2. Tái, Chín (Small) my co-worker got the same but he got the large. Our lunch arrived relatively fast with fresh toppings along the side consisting of mint stems, bean sprouts, and lemon wedges. The small was more than enough. The freshly made chili garlic sauce was a delicious addition but careful because it is SPICY! Service was great. My boyfriend and I love going to this neighborhood spot at least once a week on average. Recently we found out that the owner does not give this server our tips though. The server is paid a flat rate for the whole day(sometimes up to 14 hrs.) and the owner is keeping the tips. I'm very distressed by this because we have always received very good service and even though I make special requests in my order and always comes out exactly right. I thought my money was going to the server. And while I want to support small businesses and I desperately hope that this one does not fail, if I give a server a tip it is for the server not the business. If they end up losing this server, I will likely go to whatever new restaurant that the server starts working at. read more

My husband grabbed me some chicken pho from here to go while running errands today since my throat started to feel scratchy and my normal pho place didnt open until later. BEST DECISION EVER. Not only did my throat start feeling better immediately but I had enough for dinner too! The takeout situation is great and it allows you to see that they give you huge pieces of chicken breast. Not shredded but sliced and so much of it! They kept the components separate so it didnt get soggy in the transport home. So glad to have discovered this place over by the old Fionas and UPS. Went in and there were two teenagers working - I get that they'd rather be anywhere else on a Saturday night than work, but when we walked in there were a dozen tables that needed to be bussed, but they were busy watching SYFY channel (could not take their eyes off it). Although distracted I will say the staff was polite. The food itself was pretty flavorless - we had two appetizers and two orders of pho. I've been going here since they opened at least four years ago, and it's great! The pho is very good, and the other dishes I've tried are good as well. It's a small place, but I've never had to wait for a table. I've been eating Vietnamese food since 1980, and I don't have to travel to Arlington VA anymore to get good food. I was quite excited to try out this new pho place with my family. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. We ordered 3 large pho bowls. They made the mistake of giving us 3 regular sizes. When we told them the error, they gladly took them back. Guess what? Instead of preparing new orders, they switched the small bowls to a large size and added more broth. As a result, the portion didn't equal to a large order. The broth was warm instead of being hot. This was just unethical. For a new establishment, they should take extra care in making sure the food is prepared correctly. So, I can't comment on the flavors because the broth was warm and the meats were gamy. I haven't written a review in a while but felt compelled to since this place is brand new. It was open when we arrived at 9:45 AM on a Wednesday which was perfect since we hadn't had breakfast and it was super chilly outside. We ordered our bowls of pho and were pleased-the soup was flavorful and the spices were well balanced. The noodles had the right amount of chew and was accompanied by the usual suspects of bean sprouts, basil, lime and peppers. Our meats were on the money and plentiful, too. We didn't get a chance to order any rolls but we intend to next time we're back. I'm also curious about the vermicelli bowls and hopeful that they will be just as good. read more

Well we didn't have a chance to eat... the customer service was horrible... only 2-3 tables and we were waiting for menu about 5 mins... then a new customer came in and sat down and he was serviced before us after 10 mins of waiting... I so want to give this five stars. We have been here four times since they opened, and the pho is by far the best in the neighborhood and possibly the best in NoVA. But their service is, to be blunt, awful. In each time we visited they forgot something on the order. Just forgot it. And although this last time they brought the pho in a reasonable amount of time, the first few times it took forever. So they seem to be improving, but they have a long way to go to justify five stars. If they can speed the order taking, delivery, and reduce the kitchen mistakes, this will be the perfect neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant. read more

I came in here on a Saturday for an early dinner. The decor on the inside is very nice. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff is extremely friendly. I got the pho soup with roundeye steak, well-done flank, and tripe (labelled as P9 on the menu, $10.95), pork sausage rolls ($4.90), and Thai tea. Pho typically has beef, rice noodles, onions, radish, fish sauce, cilantro, and bean sprouts (https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/57354/beef-pho/). All of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The pork sausage rolls were particularly interesting. The rolls appeared to be wrapped in sheets of rice flour with a similar tasted and texture to rice noodles. The pork sausage as opposed to regular pork was tastier. Thai tea is spicier and not as milky as Indian chai. Amazing Pho on a cold rainy day! I recently saw this new place and decided to try it on this chilly day. Everything is new inside and very comfortable.
